She saw that they were still aroused. “What now?” she asked.
Cole smiled at her. “That’s pretty much it for the four-poster bed, sweet.”
She sat up further and bent her legs so she could kneel at the foot of the bed. “What about these?” she asked and closed her hands around their engorged cocks. She heard two distinct, swift breaths for air from her guys.
Chapter Eleven
“Sweet Jesus, I wasn’t expecting that,” Cole said, his words gusting out with his breath.
“Me neither,” Jase agreed, his voice sounding strangled.
“Are there any rules against it?” she asked.
“Nope,” Jase said.
She gave a little tug on each of their cocks and they moved closer. “All right, I have a few rules for you. Both of you must stand there while I caress you until you climax. You can’t move, and you must hold back your climax until I say so.” She smiled at them.
“What have we done?” Cole asked Jase.
“Looks like we have a rebellious spitfire on our hands,” Jase replied.
She grinned at both of them. “On your needy cocks to be exact. Come closer, boys.” She gave another little tug on their ever hardening cocks. When they were close enough she released their cocks and cupped their balls in the palms of her hands. They both had amazing packages. She heard their breathing increase as she bobbled their balls on her fingertips. “Not yet. You can’t come until I say so.” She took their cocks in her hands again just beneath the heads. Bending forward, she licked the rounded head of one and then the other. They tasted salty and sweet.
“Ah, God,” Jase groaned.
“Are you watching what I’m doing?” she asked softly.
“Hell, no, unless you want me to come right now,” Cole said, his voice rasping.
She took them one at a time into her mouth and circled the turgid heads with her tongue, learning the textures and shapes of each. After stroking the velvet surfaces, she licked up and down the steel-hard cocks. As the guys uttered strangled-sounding moans, she smoothed her hands up and down the length of them, then blew on the wet surface of the rounded heads.
“Good God, Emily, I’m going to come,” Jase said, his jaw gritted and his neck bowed back.
She held their cocks firmly and ran her hands up and down their satin textures. She squeezed the thickness of them as both guys shouted swear words, and their cocks pumped in her fists. She felt the motion of it as she held them tight, and they grabbed her hands with theirs and held on. Their hips bucked and their cocks released their sperm, ejaculating over and over. After a long while they finished and their cocks began to relax.
The whole experience was amazing to her, and she felt gratified that she wielded that power over such wonderful, big, strong guys.
She released them, and they turned and staggered for the bathroom. She couldn’t help smiling with her achievement, as she’d held them captive in her hands.
When they came out of the bathroom, she was waiting for them, sitting on the big bed. Cole headed toward her and Jase hung back.
“Okay for you, lady.” Cole swept her into his arms and headed out of the bedroom and down the hall.
“What are you doing?” she exclaimed.
“You’ll see.” Cole grinned at her.
He kept going and headed for the doors at the end of the hall. She could see a swimming pool outside, lights shining through the water and illuminating it in the night. When he reached the edge she had a pretty good idea what was coming. Sure enough, he let go of her and she dropped naked seat first into the pool. She pushed her feet against the bottom and surfaced just as Cole jumped in, creating a huge splash and wave that washed over her. She swiped water from her face and pushed her soggy hair back.
“Teach you to do that to us again.” Cole swept her up in his strong arms, and hugged her close as he kissed her deeply, ravaging her mouth.
She couldn’t do anything against his strength but enjoy his deep kiss, and kiss him back. They tangled their tongues together and she moaned and heard his groan. When she felt his cock hard against her hip, she broke the kiss.
“I think I need to eat something to revive.” She panted.
“Let‘s go get some,” Cole agreed.
“What’s to eat?” Jase called from the doorway. “Sodas are ready.”
“I guess we’ll have to go fix something.” Cole grinned at her. He lifted her out of the pool and she stood on the side as he vaulted over the edge to his feet.
She put her arm around him and he hugged her close as they walked inside. They all headed for the kitchen, leaving a trail of wet footprints.
“Do you guys like to go to Austin Blue’s dance hall at night sometimes?”
Jase met her gaze. “Once in a while. Why? Do you want to go?”
“Yes,” Emily said. “I think it could be fun.”
“Let’s do it then,” Cole said.
“When would you like to go?” Jase asked.
“Oh, I don’t know. How about tonight? Or some other night would be all right, too,” she said.
“Tonight would be great,” Cole agreed. “Let’s go get some towels.” He grinned at her.
After they finished their meal of nachos, they dressed and headed back into town to Austin Blue’s Heat Springs Dance Hall and Bar. Jase and Cole told her a little about the dance hall and that Rex Brandon was Austin’s partner in their successful venture.
Her guys escorted her inside and they found a table near the dance floor.
Jase and Cole had no sooner held a chair for her and she’d sat down than two confident men dressed like successful cowboys walked over to their table. Wearing expensive-looking Western garb, they shook hands with Jase and Cole.
The one with sandy-colored hair in a neat, short hair-cut in the latest style gave her a big smile, and she shook hands with him and then the other guy who had dark hair also cut neatly.
Jase met her gaze. “Emily this is Austin Blue, and Rex Brandon. They own this place.”
Jase gestured first to the sandy-haired guy, and then to the dark-haired guy. She thought both of them looked like shrewd businessmen, and they were handsome as sin.
She met the smiling gaze of Austin who had a distinct family resemblance to his sister, Lacy. “Hi, glad to meet you. I’ve heard about your place. Looks like a popular stop for people.”
The music was loud country music, and the sound of people dancing and having a good time blended with it. She had to speak loudly to be heard, and she bent close to hear what the guys said to her and each other. They all wore just a touch of dreamy men’s cologne.
“Hope you enjoy yourself,” Austin said and grinned at her. He looked at Jase and Cole. “The first round of drinks is on the house.”
“Glad to meet you,” Rex said.
“Same here.” She smiled at them.
Jase and Cole nodded to both of them and said thanks as they all shared big smiles.
The owners seemed like nice guys, and definitely friendly business owners. She noticed that Rex crossed the room and walked behind the bar to take orders, and Austin continued making his way around the room greeting customers at tables, a big smile for everyone. The sound level lowered a bit when the song reached its conclusion.
Cole rose from his seat. “What would you like to drink?”
“I’ll have a soda.” Jase looked at Emily and grinned. “You can have whatever you want.”
“I’ll have a Vodka Tonic,” she said, and smiled at Cole.
He nodded and headed for the long bar that stretched the length of one end of the room.
“Dance with me.” Jase held out his hand to her.
She took his hand as she stood and walked with him to the dance floor. It was already crowded with couples dancing to a waltz. Jase pulled her into his arms and easily swept her into the dance. He was a masterful partner and she had no problems following his lead as he moved around the dance floor. Dancing with him was dreamy. He pulled her close and
she rested her head against his shoulder. Before she knew it, the song had ended and a fast song was starting up. Jase escorted her back to their table.
Cole waited there with their drinks. She smiled at him as he stood, and Jase held her chair. These guys definitely knew how to impress a lady with their manners. She watched the other couples dancing to a two-step. She wondered if her guys knew that step. Soon the band was playing another slow waltz.
Cole leaned toward her. “Would you like to dance?” His voice sounded low, like that soft purr.
“Yes,” she said and smiled at him. He held her chair and, taking her hand, led her onto the dance floor and twirled her into his embrace. He was just as good a dance partner as Jase. He pulled her closer as he circled the floor with her, and she rested her head on his hard muscular chest. The song was one of her favorites, “I Cross My Heart,” by George Strait, and Cole was humming it on key. She raised her head and looked up at him. His baritone voice crooned the words softly as he pressed his cheek against hers. She didn’t want it to end, and the song ended too soon. He looked down and smiled at her, and she smiled at him. He escorted her back to their table.
Jase was watching them. He stood and held her chair for her.
She couldn’t quit smiling. She loved dancing with them, and her body hummed with her pleasure.
Her guys continued to take turns asking her to dance with them, and she did so, and enjoyed every moment with them.
The band announced they were taking a short break and would be back real soon for more fun.
“Want another drink?” Jase asked her.
“Yes, I’ll have another, the same,” she said, and smiled at him.
Cole stood, too. “How about some more nachos?”
“Sounds great.” She smiled at both of them. They were such great guys, doing their best to show her a good time. The evening had been absolutely sublime. She hoped she could enjoy coming here with them often.
She watched them as they stood at the bar waiting for their drinks and food. They had such trim sexy butts.
“How do you like the band?” The familiar voice of Austin Blue sounded close beside her as he bent with his face near hers.
She inhaled swiftly at the warmth of his heat and the pleasant scent of his cologne. He smiled at her with that sexy smile. It wouldn’t be too hard to fall for Austin if she hadn’t already fallen for Jase and Cole. Thick, black eyelashes outlined his dark blue, almost lavender-colored eyes. A strong jaw and high cheek bones added ruggedness with that sandy-colored hair cut in the latest fashion for men. His expensive-looking Western shirt emphasized his broad shoulders and powerful-looking physique.
“I liked them very much, thank you.” She smiled at him and he grinned at her.
“Hope you continue to enjoy the evening. Come back again.”
“I will,” she said and smiled.
Suddenly someone knocked into the side of Austin but he caught his balance and straightened to look at Cole who had come up to him on that side without Emily noticing. The sight of Cole’s hard glaring eyes staring at Austin startled her. What on earth? She turned to look at Jase as he joined them. He also glared at Austin, his eyes angry, looking threatening. Before she could say anything three more men, Troy, Doug, and Rex, joined the group in a flash. She’d never seen guys move so fast. What the hell was going on? “Cole, what’s the matter?” she demanded.
“Calm down, everyone,” Rex warned.
Austin waved a hand in the air in front of him. “Hey guys, just asking Emily how she liked the band. That’s all.” Austin backed away, that friendly smile on his face.
“That’s good,” Jase said, a low growling threat in his voice.
She could almost feel the testosterone steaming from her two guys. What was the matter with them? She waited in silence for them to calm down.
Austin moved on to another table and started talking in a friendly manner to the couple there.
“Our order should be ready,” Jase said. “Back in a sec.” He and Cole returned to the bar for their drinks. She watched them, puzzled by their behavior.
Troy and Doug returned to their table and the pretty young woman who was sitting there.
“Hey,” another familiar voice greeted her.
She turned to find Lacy with Trey and Derek. “Hi!” Emily smiled at them.
Lacy sat down beside her and Trey leaned close to Lacy and asked what she wanted to drink. Lacy told him.
“Can we get you something?” Derek asked Emily.
“No, thanks, Jase and Cole are at the bar getting our orders.
Derek nodded to her and he and Trey headed for the bar. Emily allowed her gaze to return to Jase and Cole. It didn’t look like their order was ready yet.
Lacy leaned closer to her and she turned toward her. “So,” Lacy began, “have they told you yet?”
“Told me what?” Emily asked. What in the world was Lacy referring to?
“That they’re shifters.”
Emily gave a short laugh. “What?” Lacy was kidding her. “Hey, they’re sexy enough without being bad-boy shifters.” She smiled at the idea.
“No, really, they’re shape-shifters,” Lacy repeated softly.
Was Lacy nuts? Emily turned to look at her again to see if she could possibly be serious. Her expression was absolutely serious. Emily had a very sick feeling in her stomach all of a sudden, and felt light headed. She’d heard fragments of conversation about local stories of shape-shifters while she served lunch to people at the steakhouse.
“Haven’t you heard the local stories about the shifter families of Heat Springs?” Lacy stared at Emily, disbelief on her face.
Emily had trouble forming a coherent sentence in her mind. “Ye-yes,” she stuttered. “I’ve heard some remarks about resident wolves and Jaguars, but I didn’t give the remarks much thought. They’re really silly and fanciful.”
“No,” Lacy said with conviction. “The stories are true. I know firsthand because Trey and Derek are shifters and so is my brother. I’ve actually seen them in action. It’s amazing, if a little scary.”
Shocked again, Emily didn’t know what to think. Lacy couldn’t be serious. Lacy was just trying to tease her. That was all.
“It really doesn’t matter,” Lacy said. “They’re the best guys I know. It’s just that sometimes they change shape to fight other shifters, or to protect their loved ones.”
Emily was barely aware of Trey and Derek returning and setting their drinks down on the table.
“Be right back with the chips,” Trey said, and he headed back to the bar.
She noticed that he joined Jase, leaned close, and said something to him. Jase looked over his shoulder at her just as Cole did. Both of them had frowning looks of concern on their faces.
What would they have to say about Lacy’s story? Emily was feeling rather overwhelmed by it all. She didn’t know how she should deal with what Lacy had told her. Did she forget about it and act as if it didn’t bother her, or did she ask Jase and Cole what they knew about it. Did she treat it lightly? What if it were true? My God, she had serious feelings for her guys. Even so, she wasn’t sure she could understand or grasp the shape-shifting thing, or accept it, if it were true. As she looked at Cole and Jase, she realized she already saw them differently, as if she truly didn’t know them.
When the three guys returned to the table, Lacy made light conversation and Emily tried to follow along. She could tell that Jase and Cole weren’t finding Lacy’s chatter any more riveting than Emily did.
Jase asked her to dance and she moved mechanically like a robot, taking his hand and walking onto the dance floor with him. He swung her into the waltz but she knew she was too stiff in his arms. He would know something was different between them. They finished the dance and he led her back to the table.
The band began singing another song. It was one of the new ones, a waltz. She couldn’t remember the title.
Emily wished she would wake up, that what Lacy had told
her would just be a bad dream and hadn’t ruined her happiness. The tense words of the song mimicked how she felt. Without looking at Jase or Cole, she said, “I hate to eat and run, but I need to be at work early tomorrow.”
She grabbed her purse and pushed back her chair. The song built in tension. She wanted to run away. Jase and Cole held her chair for her. Cole cupped her arm with his warm hand. She nodded to Lacy and her dates. “Good night.”
As the singer cried out the desperate words of the song, Jase and Cole walked outside with her. Emily wanted to break away from them and run and keep running, but she couldn’t. Jase helped her into his pick-up and Cole sat down beside her.
Jase got in and turned the key in the ignition. Cole put his arm around her shoulders, but she sat frozen, in a haze, unable to respond to his gesture.
When they reached her place she glanced at both of them. “Thanks for taking me dancing. I enjoyed it. I can’t ask you in tonight because I need to get to bed. I have to be at work early tomorrow. She waited, holding onto her purse as Cole and Jase opened their doors and Cole reached for her hand to help her out. She took it, but let go after she stepped down. They walked with her to the door. As she put her key in the lock, Jase put his hand over hers.
She turned to look at him, wondering what he was doing.
“We need to talk, babe.”
Cole cleared his throat. “We need to explain some things to you, sweetheart.”
She nodded. “All right. Come in for a few minutes, but you can’t stay long.”
They followed her inside. She put her purse down on the dining table and turned to look at them. She studied their serious faces. What would they tell her? She was afraid to know.
Neither one of them looked like he knew what to say. They shifted their feet. She’d just have to say it for them. “Are you shifters like Lacy said?”
“Yeah,” they both said at the same time. Their voices sounded resigned but not sorry. That might just be a good sign in this nightmare she found herself in.
Jase swallowed. She waited for him to say something. “Do you want to call off our relationship now, or after we tell you what we are?”
