About the Author
Karen Joy Fowler was born in Indiana in 1950. She moved to California as a child and attended the University of California, Berkeley. Her debut novel, Sarah Canary (1991), was nominated for the Nebula and James Tiptree, Jr Awards. She is also the author of the New York Times bestseller The Jane Austen Book Club (2004). She lives in California.
