It Wasn't Me Page 7

  She shouldn’t.

  We barely knew each other.

But, knowing that she did, indeed, trust me was humbling.

Setting the crown of my cock at her entrance, I slowly started to push inside. My eyes practically crossed when I felt how tight she was around just my cock head.

“Oh, fuck,” I muttered, forehead dropping down to rest on hers. “You feel like heaven.”

“That was so corny,” she breathed, her legs going up to wrap around my hips. “Now hurry up and get inside of me already. The anticipation is killing me.”

I sank in farther, making sure to watch her face the entire time to check for discomfort.

But other than the bite of her lip, she gave me zero indication that anything was wrong at all.

Instead, she lifted her hips and tightened her legs, urging me on.

I pulled back slightly and waited. “Hold on to me, baby.”

She grinned and gripped one of my shoulders with her free hand. With the other that was still in mine, she closed her small fingers around my much larger ones and squeezed me with her pussy.

I slammed back inside, freezing once I was all the way in.

She groaned and shifted underneath me.

“Okay?” I asked, pulling out the smallest of amounts and sinking back inside.

  “Yes,” she answered. “Perfectly.”

I pulled out and pushed back in, testing out her depths and readiness.

I frowned when I felt the birth control inside of her.

“What?” she asked. “Is something wrong?”

Here I was, taking her virginity, and she was asking me if something was wrong.

“No, nothing is wrong. It feels weird,” I admitted, feeling the ring inside of her hook on the crown of my cock.

It slid past it easily enough, but I could still feel the hard, unyielding object inside of her, and I didn’t like it at all.

“My vagina feels weird?” she asked worriedly.

I pulled out, then pushed back inside, feeling my eyes cross.

Even with her weird ring in, it was still the best thing I’d ever felt in my life.

“No,” I croaked. “The ring. It’s hard and weird feeling. The head of my cock keeps catching on the ring when I go to pull out,” I panted. “But Jesus Christ, you feel like the best thing ever.”

She pushed on my chest with her hands, and I just now realized that I’d let her hands go free.

  She shifted. “Pull out.”

I frowned and did as she asked, hating myself when I popped free of her tight pussy. It felt wrong on so many levels not to be tucked in deep inside of her.

My eyes went down the length of our bodies, momentarily pausing on her swollen tits, before moving farther down to where my cock was resting on her pussy.

My cock was red and angry, and I could see streaks of her virginity along the solid shaft that was pulsing with each beat of my heart.

She pressed her fingers inside of herself, and I felt my cock jolt at the sight, bouncing slightly only to come back down against her with a meaty thud.

Seconds later she came out with the ring and tossed it on the nightstand unceremoniously. “I’ve read that as long as it goes back in within three hours, it’s okay.”

I didn’t waste time sinking back inside of her. Once I realized what she was doing, I lost the worry that she wasn’t doing as okay as she looked when I’d been inside of her.

This time, without the feel of the birth control ring inside of her, it felt perfect.

  Utterly and shockingly perfect.

“I’m going to come in about six seconds,” I groaned as I sat up on my knees, pulling her with me into my lap.

Or, at least, her lower half.

Her upper body still lay on the bed, her breasts jolting slightly with each thrust of my cock.

I bit my lip and counted to a hundred in my head as I slowly worked my cock inside of her.

My hope was to desensitize my cock to her, as well as manage to gain some of my control back.

But with each bump of my body against hers, her breasts would jolt.

Then when she tired of her breasts almost smacking her in the face, she caught both in her hands and pressed them together.

I groaned when I saw them so close to her face.

“Can you suck your own nipples?” I wondered.

Her eyes practically gleamed when she curled up slightly, making her belly tighten, and caught one dusky pink tip into her mouth.

  I lost it.

Watching her suck on her own breast was literally breaking the last thread that was holding my control intact.

Lifting her hips up even higher, I went onto my knees and started to fuck her true. Slow, deep, hard thrusts that caused her to cry out.

Her legs went up toward her chest and spread wide, giving me an unencumbered view of her pussy.

I switched between watching her lick her breasts and watching her pussy spread open wide, taking my cock.

“Play with yourself,” I urged. “Touch your clit. I…”

She came around me, squeezing my cock like a strong fist. She had no need of touching herself.

Crying out in shock at the suddenness of her orgasm, she dropped her hands from her breasts and instead grabbed onto what she could reach for. The nightstand with one hand, and the pillow underneath her head with the other.

“Fuuuuuck!” I cried out, feeling my balls tighten.

“Oh, yes,” she breathed. “Yes, yes, yes!”

The lamp fell off the nightstand, as did the box of goodies, what I assumed were our wedding papers, and a bottle of water.

I was too busy to save anything at that point, though.

My eyes closed without my permission, because goddamn I would’ve loved watching her come the rest of the way or the way she took my cock like she was meant to for always.

Hot spurts of my release started to bathe her insides. I gasped and bent over, unable to hold her up anymore, and pounded away the rest of my release inside of her.

I loved the added slipperiness of our combined fluids. Loved even more that with each thrust of my jerking cock, she tightened and released around me in the aftershocks of her own orgasm.

And when I finally came to a stop between her legs and opened my eyes, it was to find her staring in awe back at me.

“Is it always like that?” she asked, her breath leaving her in small pants.

  No, no, it wasn’t.

“No, baby,” I said, clenching her thigh with one hand and pressing myself deeper inside of her. “It’s not.”

  Chapter 7

This killing them with kindness thing is taking way longer than I expected.

  -Text from Phoebe to Piper

  Piper

I was no longer a virgin.

  I was married.

I had sex with my husband.

  My hot as fuck husband.

My ‘I don’t know what to do with him’ husband.

“Whew,” I heard the woman at my side say. “If my husband asked me to come to a car show and he looked like that, I’d have said yes.”

I grinned at the woman who’d been standing beside us as Jonah went to get our names on the list for breakfast before we had to be at the car auction.

She’d obviously overheard him asking me if I wanted to go straight there or grab a bite to eat.

“I did say yes,” I informed her. “We’re going after breakfast.”

  She fanned herself.

“Not to say, sweetie, but isn’t he a little old for you?”

I looked back at my man that was once again making his way toward us with a small buzzer in his big hand.

  “No,” I said. “He’s perfect.”

  And he was.

I didn’t care if he was a few years older than me. So what?

What I cared about was that he liked me. That he looked at me and saw something he desired. Somethi
ng he wanted in his bed in twenty years.

“They said that they could seat us in about twenty minutes. Unless we wanted to sit out here.” He jerked his head toward the outdoor bar.

“This is fine,” I said. “Unless you want to sit inside?”

“It’s not too hot out yet. Out here is good for me if it’s good for you,” he said. “Let me go give this back. Go grab that table right there.”

I did as he suggested, weaving my way around the people that were standing, waiting for a place to sit inside, out of the heat.

And it was hot. For April, it was downright blazing.

Then again, when was it not hot in Las Vegas?

I’d been at all different times of the year. January, April, August, and September. Each of those months had one thing in common—heat.

Spying the one and only table left open in the outside seating area just shy of the bar, I slid into the booth opposite the strip and reached for a menu.

I wasn’t sure if we’d gotten a chance to eat last night or not, but I was famished.

The waiter came over and asked for our drink orders, and I ordered myself a tea, Jonah a water because I was fairly sure that he still had a headache even though he wasn’t leading on to it, and a giant pretzel that was front and center on the first page of the menu.

With him gone, I finally pulled my phone out of my bag and looked at my messages.

My father had texted asking if I’d arrived, and apparently, I’d at least answered him that I was alive and well.

But from that point forward, I’d ignored every single text message that I’d gotten.

  Mostly.

I’d sent one obscure picture of my left big toe to my sister with the caption ‘guess where I’m at.’

My sisters and mom had all answered with their guesses, and I hadn’t answered back.

From that point, they’d sent about forty thousand messages—okay, only about a hundred, but still that was a lot to have to scroll through—and I was still scrolling up to the last message I’d sent seeing as each time they sent a new text message, it would go right back to the bottom.

“What’s that look for?” Jonah grumbled as he sat down.

My lips twitched as he slowly started to look around the area, taking in all there was to see.

There was a bridal party sitting behind us in the circular booth made for eight. They were being very loud, and each of them were drinking out of penis straws and had penis headbands bobbing away on their heads.

On our left was a group of young men all looking hung over. This was probably their very first time to Vegas, and likely they’d all just turned twenty-one.

The table behind us had two single women in their fifties. They looked jaded, as if they’d seen it all. They were talking softly about a show that they were seeing later and discussing whether or not they wanted to eat dinner beforehand or not.

I watched as Jonah took in every single nuance of the world around us before he returned his gaze to me.

I also knew that he’d gauged the threat level, too.

I’d never paid attention to him in a crowded, unsecured environment before. I’d definitely not paid attention last night.

But seeing him here, with all these people around him that he couldn’t guarantee weren’t going to harm him in some way, I could see the difference.

His shoulders were stiff, his eyes were alert, and he looked like he was ready to bolt.

  “Something wrong?” I asked carefully.

He shrugged and didn’t say anything.

I figured out why moments later when the waiter set our drinks down in front of us, as well as the massive pretzel.

“Y’all ready to order?” the waiter asked.

I looked at Jonah, who nodded. “You first.”

So I went first, ordering the first thing that I saw on the breakfast menu that had caught my eye by the picture alone.

“I want the massive waffle meal,” I ordered. “Extra syrup.”

He nodded once and turned to Jonah.

“I’ll take the T-bone steak meal, but I want two extra eggs. Grits. Pancakes instead of waffles, and biscuits, please,” he ordered.

My brows rose at all the food that he’d ordered.

“All right,” the waiter said. “I’ll get that right out.”

“Can you bring me a cup of coffee, too?” Jonah requested.

After receiving a nod from the waiter, Jonah looked back at me, dismissing him.

I grinned at the waiter who looked a little flushed at Jonah’s undivided attention and winked.

Obviously, the dude was gay, and obviously, he was as affected by Jonah as I was.

  Sheesh.

“What’s that look for?” Jonah grumbled.

It was cute how grumpy he was.

“I was commiserating with the waiter,” I answered. “Did you talk to your brother yet?”

He grumbled something under his breath.

“Texted him,” he answered. “Got a call back, so I ignored that and texted him again saying I was going out with you.”

“You told him we were married?” I asked in surprise.

Jonah grinned. “I told him I was going out to eat with my wife, and I’d call him when I was done.”

I shook my head. “What did he say to that?”

“He laughed,” he answered. “Thought I was joking, I’m sure.”

He shrugged. “I guess we need to figure out what we’re going to do,” he admitted. “We have to figure something out, because my brother and sister are too big of a part of my life not to figure it out the instant that we get home.”

  I agreed.

“I’ll be able to keep it from my sisters for all of five seconds when I get home,” I murmured. “They’ll see this in a heartbeat.”

I raised up my hand, showing him my tattooed-on ring.

  He grinned.

“I don’t see my brother and sister as much as they’d like, but you’re right. They’ll definitely notice.” He placed his hand on the table, too.

I shifted on my butt and winced when I felt the uncomfortable pull on my ass.

  Today was going to suck.

There would be a lot of walking. A lot of standing. And a lot of sitting.

“You still want to give it a chance?” I asked quietly.

He leaned back in his seat but left his hand on the table.

  “Yeah,” he murmured. “I do.”

No hedging or humming or hawing from Jonah.

  Just a straight, no-nonsense answer.

  Yeah, he did.

Which was great, because I did, too.

“Okay,” I said. “Then let’s do it.”

“You’ll stay with me?” he pushed.

I nodded. “At your house? Yeah.”

“In the same room?” he asked.

I grinned. “You might regret it, but yes.”

“Why would I regret it?” he questioned.

I raised my brow at him. “You really want me to give all of my secrets away?”

He didn’t waste time by saying, “Yes.”

Rolling my eyes, I tangled my hand with his.

He flipped his over onto the tabletop so that it was easier for me to hold.

I stared at the still steaming pretzel and said, “I sleep odd hours. I wake up randomly in the middle of the night, so instead of trying to go back to sleep, I just read until I’m sleepy again.”

  He grinned.

“Sometimes I toss and turn, not realizing it,” I continued. “I do it a lot, too, seeing as when I wake up the sheets are always tangled at the foot of the bed, and I’m normally only left with about a quarter of the blanket that I started out with.”

“I snore,” Jonah supplied. “Just FYI.”

“For your information,” I informed him. “I snort.”

  “Snort?” he asked.

“Snort,” I confirmed. “I wake myself up
by snorting.”

The corner of his mouth hitched up. “I’ll have to see about listening for that.”

  I shrugged. “I…”

The waiter placed Jonah’s coffee down.

“Is there something wrong with the appetizer?” the waiter asked, concerned.

I shook my head. “No. we were just waiting. Thank you, though.”

“Oh, okay.” He smiled and walked away, glancing once over his shoulder for a better look at Jonah.

I scoffed and turned to Jonah once again, reluctantly letting go of his hand.

Reaching for the massive pretzel that was as big as my face, I tore it apart and handed a chunk to my husband.

He took it and dunked it into the cheese dip before shoving half of the bite in his face.

Grinning, I took my own dainty bite and moaned.

“Oh, this is good,” I said before taking another bite.

  “Yeah,” Jonah confirmed. “It is.”

“I don’t like to share my food.”

He froze with the pretzel halfway to his mouth, unsure how to proceed.

  “I really don’t,” I admitted.

  He handed the pretzel back.

“No,” I shook my head. “It’s fine. For this anyway. But, just an FYI, or a warning, don’t steal shit off my plate. It makes me a little pissy.”

He popped the cheese covered pretzel into his mouth.

I watched the muscles in his jaw and throat work as he chewed and wondered why I found him chewing so freakin’ sexy.

I also wondered how the hell I was going to continue to sit next to him all day long and not want to jump his bones.

Maybe we could go back to the hotel at mid-day or something.

“What are you thinking about?” Jonah suddenly asked. “Because it’s not the pretzel...”

I swallowed and contemplated telling him a lie but thought better of it.

“I was thinking about going to the hotel room at lunch and, errrm, taking care of a few things,” I answered, hoping that he would let it go.

  But he didn’t.

He grinned like the devil and gestured to his watch.

“You might miss something at the auction if you go back to the hotel for lunch,” he said. “But I’m down if you are.”

I grimaced. “I don’t want to miss any of the auction. But there is a thirty-minute intermission around noon. We’ll know what’s coming up…”
