Whore Page 16

The fact that he did want a family one day had been a sore spot for us. We’d talked about adoption but I’d made it very clear that I wouldn’t consider it until I got use from my degree first. For now that was still a subject up for debate.

Feeling the leather folder slide into my hand, knowing I’d finally accomplished what I’d set out to do pulled me back into the here and now. I turned to smile at Taylor and his mother in the audience, my face radiating with the joy of success.

All in all my life has turned out pretty good. I have a man I love, who loves me back, opportunities to be more than I ever thought I could be, and a real family that cares about the things important to me. Not bad for a girl who was almost tossed out in the streets not so long ago.

My mother attempted to reunite after reading about my marriage in a newspaper but I’d refused the invite. She’d never loved me enough to stick around when I needed her and I refused to let her live off me now that she was getting rid of husband number six.

Walking down the aisle to join my new family I smiled and enjoyed their embraces. Ashley and Jimmy couldn’t make it tonight but I’d enjoyed their cards from their new home in California. They owned a successful bakery in Ventura and I couldn’t be happier that things had worked out so well for them too.

Taylor held out an arm for me and his mother to take and we walked back to the limousine together. I smiled as I remember the first time I got into his car. I didn’t sell myself for money but if marrying into eternal bliss made me a whore? I’d take that title any day of the week.

Thanks so much for purchasing Whore. I’ve had a wonderful time writing this book and hope I answered the question it was inspired by: Can a virgin be a whore? I’d appreciate a review if you have the time. Below you can find the links to keep up with what I’m doing next. I really loving hearing from readers and hope you won’t be a stranger!
