The headboard is mounted to the wall, but it’s still jerking and the bed is skipping on the floor.
Her nails dig into my ass cheeks and she freezes as she yells, “Sean… Oh, baby… yes… yes… yes… Ohhhhhhhhh. Fucking hell… Ahhhhhhhh… Oh, Sean…”
Her body squeezes me like a vice and it pushes me over the edge. Leaning down, I bite her shoulder as I roar and empty my load inside of her. It just continues… as I feel spurt after spurt leaving me.
When I still, her head turns and she presses a kiss to the side of my sweaty head. I barely have the energy to lift my own to look at her. Her face is luminous and her eyes are wide open golden pools of satisfaction. My chin brushes her shoulder and she winces.
As I look down, I see the mark I left on her as I came. My teeth marks are clearly visible, though I didn’t break the skin. She’s going to bruise though.
She turns, rolls her shoulder, and says, “What’s the verdict? Is it bad?”
I grimace, “Um, you should probably not wear anything sleeveless at the concert tonight.”
She laughs before grabbing my head and turning my lips to hers. Her mouth closes over mine and she sucks on my tongue as I soften inside of her body.
Then, she cranes her neck to look at the clock. She chuckles. “Five minutes to spare.”
Throwing my head back, I laugh and stand before holding my hand out and helping her to a sitting position. She slides her hands out and grab her panties. After helping her to her feet, I snap my jeans.
She blushes and smirks. “I’d better go clean up since they’ll be here for the bags any second now.”
Leaning down, I stop her and lick the shell of her ear. “Or… you could just put your panties back on and leave me inside of you…”
I want her to leave my cum inside of her?!
What the hell?!
Chapter Fourteen
Summer
We’re on the set of the local noon news, talking about the concert tonight, when the journalist at the desk reads the prompter, “After the break, we’ll be live, here in the studio, with the members of Sweet Southern Sass and Destiny Fades To Blue. You won’t want to miss it.” and we cut to commercial. All eight of us are on the small stage adjacent to the desk and we’re going on right after the commercial break. Fannie is on one end of the brown leather couch with Daisy beside her. I’m next to Daisy and McKenzie is beside me. The guys are in chairs directly behind us. Xavior is to the right of Fannie. Rafe is behind Daisy. Sean is behind me. And Russ is to the left of McKenzie.
The reporter who will be doing the interview walks over and greets us again as she perches in the chair beside us and crosses her long legs. She has a note card in her hand that she glances over before looks at our group. “I’m just going to go over the concert for tonight and give the event venue. I’ll talk about the fact that your single, Firefly Heartbeat, is sitting at number one on the country charts right now and number six on the pop charts. And then, I was hoping to ask what the scoop is with the romance happening between both bands.” She smiles at us and my heart starts pounding.
Daisy nods and says, “Ok, sounds good. Rafe and I are old news by now anyway.” She laughs.
The pretty reporter looks at her and nods before she turns and looks from Sean to me. “But you two are a new couple?!”
My heart jump and my hands tighten on my skirt.
You knew this was coming, Summer. And this is better than the vultures waiting outside the studio and at the venue.
Better to just rip the Band-Aid off, right?!
Before I can form words, I feel a hand on my shoulder and Sean is saying, “We are. It’s been cooking for a while, but we have just decided to take the leap.”
She smiles and nods at us. I can see the excitement in her eyes. I nod. “We’re a couple.”
Reaching up, I cover Sean’s hand with mine. He squeezes my shoulder and I glance at him. He smiles at me and my heart gallops.
Good lord… I think I love this man.
How the hell is that even possible? Was I in love with him before we even started dating?!
If that’s the case, Jake and I would have been doomed from the get go anyway.
Duh, you already knew that… even when you were kissing Jake… you were comparing his kiss to Sean.
Well, son of a bitch then…
The camera man zooms in and he says, “And we’re live in five… four… three…” The studio get quiet as he counts down the rest on his fingers and points to us to show we’re live.
The reporter smiles into the lens. “We’re live with the members of Destiny Fades to Blue and Sweet Southern Sass, the unlikely duo who’s single, Firefly Heartbeat, is scaling the charts. It’s currently number one on the country charts and quickly rising on the pop charts, where it’s sitting at number six. Tonight’s concert at Bridgestone Arena is sold out as are the other fifty-seven stops on the tour. This is one concert series that is not to be missed.
“The men of Destiny Fades To Blue are often referred to as the ‘bad boys’ of rock, but having them sitting here, I’m not certain that label fits.” She laughs. “The ladies of Sweet Southern Sass, who are known as the ‘sweethearts of country’ certainly don’t seem to agree with them.
“Many people, the bands here included, were wondering what the label was thinking by pairing these two vastly different bands together. Am I right?” She addresses Daisy.
Daisy nods and laughs. “Yes, absolutely. We thought they had lost their minds, but once we got to know the guys, we realized it actually worked.”
Rafe smiles at the reporter. “It definitely worked out well. But yes at first, there was a good bit of shock and utter disbelief.”
She smiles at the camera again and nods. “I can imagine it would be a bit unsettling, but it appears that the label is more than just brilliant, but also possibly a matchmaker?!”
Smiling at all of us, she says, “Rafe Rider, the lead singer, of Destiny Fades to Blue and Daisy Anderson, the lead singer, of Sweet Southern Sass seemed to be a bit of an unlikely couple, but it certainly appears as if they are in fact a match made in heaven.” Both Daisy and Rafe nod, then her eyes center on me and Sean. “And now it appears we have another blooming romance between Sean Scott and Summer Anderson. Are you two the latest couple to come out of this surprising union?”
I don’t know if I should take it or Sean should.
Which one of us is supposed to answer this? We didn’t go over who would actually answer the question.
Shit!
I pause for just a minute, but Sean has it covered. “That’s right. Summer and I are dating. It’s fairly new though it’s been looming on the horizon for a while.”
The reporter looks at me and asks, “What’s it like dating a rock star when your worlds are so vastly different?”
I look right at her and smile. “It’s different, but we work at it. We’re very different people, but together, we seem to be a good fit. This collaboration between our two bands has really helped all of us realize that though we are different as performers and public figures… we’re actually more alike than we realize. Sometimes you just have to give people a chance.”
The cameraman waves his finger to show that the segment needs to be wrapped. The reporter nods and looks right into the camera. “A great lesson we can all benefit from. Make certain to download and request the hit Firefly Heartbeat and enjoy the concert tonight at Bridgestone Arena.
“We have a special treat for the tenth caller to our studio as well. The tenth caller will get a pair of tickets to tonight’s sold out show. So, call now.
“That will do it for the news at noon. We’ll see you back here at four. Have a great day.”
The cameraman counts down on his fingers, “Three, two, one.” He waves his hand to show we’re out before removing his headphones and saying, “That was great.”
The reporter stands and unhooks the microphone from her collar before slipping the wire out and removing the micropho
ne pack from her waistband. She hands it off to the sound tech and looks at all of us. “Thanks for coming on. That was good.”
We all nod and shake her hand as the meteorologist walks over to talk to us and everyone takes selfies as we are unmiked.
Within twenty minutes, Gavyn and Roman are ushering us into the waiting SUV’s out back to head to the arena and prepare for the concert.
Rafe, Daisy, Sean, and me are in one SUV with Roman and Roger. Everyone else is with Gavyn and Dyse in the other SUV.
Daisy looks over and raises her brow as we pull into traffic. “Well, looks like the Anderson sister’s love lives are once again in the spotlight.”
I chuckle and nod. Sean smirks at me and waggles his brows. “Yes, Summer is about to be hated by thousands for removing this beautiful specimen from the dating pool.”
I snort and roll my eyes. “The dating pool… You mean the screwing pool, don’t you?!”
Rafe’s eyes widen and then he throws back his head and laughs. Daisy snickers and covers her mouth as she squeals, “Summer…”
Sean
Damn, Summer is being cheeky. I can’t believe she just called me a manwhore in front of everyone.
My girlfriend just called me a slut.
She called me a slut…
Is she slut shaming me?!
I mock glare at Summer as Rafe, Daisy, Roman, and Roger laugh. Her face freezes. She looks uncertain.
“Did you just slut shame me, sweetheart?!” I ask.
Her face blanches and she shakes her head, “What?! No–– No, I wasn’t… I was joking with you… I didn’t mean…”
She’s really upset so I take mercy on her. Reaching out, I yank her into my side. Her eyes widen and she gasps as I lean down. “I know that. I’m just fucking with you, sweetheart. Besides, you’re right… until you, I didn’t date. I just fucked.”
Her face flames and she quickly looks around at the other occupants of the car. Daisy is still laughing and Rafe is just staring at me in wide-eyed wonder as he smirks. Roman looks uncomfortable and Roger is grinning like he’s personally responsible for everything.
Rafe finally recovers. “True story… my boy over here is a manwhore… and you leashed that shit. I’m so impressed!”
Daisy snaps, “Oh my God… shut up, Rafe! You were the same as he was… don’t be a hypocrite.”
Summer’s eyes bug out and she coughs. “Oh my God…”
Reaching over, I shove Rafe and laugh. “Ha, listen to your lady. Hi pot.” He points to himself. “Meet kettle.”
Rafe flips me off. But he smiles when he does it.
Roman clears his throat and looks out the window. I can’t help but laugh at him. “Roman, are you going to be all weird again, like when Daisy and Rafe started naked wrestling?!”
Daisy yelps, “Shut up, Sean!”
Rafe punches me and I wince.
Roman looks back at me and glares. “I am an old man. I do not need to know about y’alls sex lives…”
Summer snickers through her blush, “Well, you know we have them…”
He pins her with a glare and then smirks before looking back out the window and replying. “I am not an idiot… I know… that doesn’t mean I want to know.”
Laughing, I put my arm around Summer. She freezes for a second and then her body settles into mine. I can smell her shampoo.
Everyone is quiet and kind of lost in their own thoughts.
This is nice. I’ve never had this before. I’ve never been part of a “couple”.
I’ve never wanted to be in a relationship. It’s never been something I really thought about or longed for.
Sitting here with Summer though… this is awesome.
My best friend and the woman he loves are across from us. We have a hit single on two charts. I have a girlfriend… a girlfriend…
And I’m finding that I’m really liking saying that.
Not because I have a girlfriend… but because it’s Summer.
The concert tonight was another hit. It went off without a hitch. Sweet Southern Sass had the first set tonight and then we came on for the second before we closed it out together with Firefly Heartbeat.
We switch the lineup every other night with either us or the girls taking the first set and the other taking the second. We always close out with the single. Then, we do a couple more songs together as well, a mix of everything.
The crowds are loving it and every night everyone is into both sets. We seem to have gotten some crossover fans and the girls are gaining new fans as well.
All in all, this collaboration is pretty fucking genius.
After the concert, we had a meet and greet with a few fans and then piled on the buses so we can head over to Kansas City for the concert on Sunday night. Tonight we’re driving and everyone was exhausted so for once, the girls are on their bus and we’re on ours.
Rafe spends a good bit of time over on their bus now and he bunks with Daisy more often than not.
I’m lying in my bunk listening to Spotify on my ear buds with my blackout curtain half closed when I see a head in my peripheral vision.
Turning my head, I see Rafe grinning at me. I pull out the earbuds and flip to face him. He points to the phone. “Not sexting with Summer, are you?”
I glance down my body and raise my brow. “If I was, would I be fully dressed?!”
He laughs. “No idea, man.”
He must want something. He’s just standing there, looking at me. It’s creepy.
Smirking, I ask, “So, did you just want to gaze at my fucking perfection or did you want something else?”
Rafe chortles. “Shut the fuck up and come on. We’re drinking. The guys are in the lounge and already have the liquor out. It’s been too long since we just hung out.” He slaps the mattress before stepping back. “Get your pretty boy ass up.”
Grinning back, I roll and jump out of my bunk before following him to the lounge.
As promised, Xavior and Russ are already in there and the bottles are out. My brow arches as I glance at them. “What the hell are you two self-certified mixologists making?”
Xavior grins and shoots Fireball straight before slamming the bottle on the table and wiping his mouth. “Flaming Panties!”
“What the fuck is that?!”
Russ laughs and shakes his head. “We just made it up. Fireball, Jack Daniels Honey, and Vanilla Vodka. It’s strong and it’s good.”
Xavior grins and points to me with a drum stick. “Fireball warms you up. Honey is smooth like a woman’s pussy. And Vanilla is sex. Add that shit together and you get a wildcat in bed.” He nods. “So, Flaming Panties!”
Ok then… I think these two were hitting the bottles already.
Glancing at Rafe, I laugh as he shrugs. He says, “I don’t ask…”
We drink Flaming Panties until we’re drunker than shit and laugh at everything. It’s been too long since we’ve spent time like this together.
When we’re all shitfaced and sprawled all over the lounge, everyone is quiet and about to pass out. I stumble as I try to stand and Rafe laughs as he tries unsuccessfully to help me. “Careful there, Seany-boy… you’re wanting to sext with Summer now, huh?!”
I mumble. “Maybe. I can… She’s my damn girlfriend…” I point at all of them and pound my chest. “Hey, mother fuckers… I have a girlfriend. I’m the shit.”
Rafe stands and quickly falls onto the couch as he glares at me. “I have one, too. I had one first. I win.”
Russ just stares at us and then mumbles, “I’m never going to have a girlfriend…” before drinking straight from the Fireball bottle.
Xavior opens blurry eyes and mutters, “Have y’all ever noticed how sexy Fannie is?” Then he shakes his head and closes his eyes. “No, of course not. Y’all have girlfriends… but she is…. She’s fucking sexy…”
He passes out as I stumble my way to my bunk and somehow manage to climb in it without killing myself before falling face-first into the sheets.
r /> Turning my head, I grin. “Summer is my girlfriend. I have a girlfriend.”
I snore.
Chapter Fifteen
Summer
In the past three weeks, we’ve had eleven concerts in Nashville, Kansas City, Columbus, and St. Paul just to name a few. We’re now heading to Los Angeles for the huge two night concert series at the Staples Center. We’ll be in LA for four days and have four talk shows, five radio interviews, two press interviews, not to mention the fundraiser we’re attending tomorrow night. It’s for the wildfires that have been sweeping southern California. We were asked to perform and since we were in town and the first concert isn’t until the following night, we’ll be performing Firefly Heartbeat with Destiny Fades To Blue.
I’m exhausted, but it’s a good exhausted. Things with Sean and I have been good… I can’t complain. He’s been great. I was worried about how he’d adjust to the reality of actually being in a relationship as opposed to saying he was in a relationship, but he’s surprised me.
I wasn’t really sure he would know how to be in a relationship. He’s giving it his all though. It’s actually no different than it used to be, other than him taking my hand in public, or pulling me in for a kiss whenever he wants one, regardless of who’s around.
We’re headline news as people try to determine if we’re legitimate or if this is a publicity stunt.
Many people say that this has to be a ploy to sell records, but others say why would we need a ploy when we both have such huge followings and the single was already at number one before we got together?!
We just ignore it and go about our business for the most part though security has been increased and the number of pissed off women at our concerts has pretty much doubled.
Last night was bad though. In St. Paul, a pissed off woman who’d been with Sean, according to her, screamed horrible things at me. She tried to get through the barricades, but security stopped her. She fought with them as she raged at me and then at Sean. Eventually, she was able to break free and threw a bag of rotten eggs at us as we walked to the buses after the concert. Luckily, security was circled around us, so they were able to deflect it. But, the bag hit one of the team. The smell was terrible. I almost threw up from the stench before we were quickly herded onto the buses.
