“Angel, you know I wouldn’t do you like that. You the only other bitch I’m fuckin’ besides her. So how the fuck I’mma dog?”

Is he really asking me this?

“I don’t know shit, Leon. I mean, what’s the point of even being with the bitch if you gon’ cheat? What’s the point of even starting a relationship period when you know yo ass not gon’ be faithful?” My arms covered my chest as I looked up at him. “No matter what’s coming out of your mouth, I see you for you. How you treat yo woman ain’t cool. Every bitch you done been with, yo ass cheated on, but you saying you wouldn’t do me like that? Get the fuck out of here with that shit.”

We could never just fuck and leave it at that. No, he always wanted to talk about being in a relationship, which I didn’t want. I had done the dating thing with his kind, hell, with niggas worse than him. For the past few years I’d been single and I wasn’t rushing to change that status only to end up heartbroken again.

  Fuck that!

“Angel, I cheat on these bitches with yo ass. Fuck is you saying,” he snapped at me.

I muffed his ass hard as hell. “You lying ass nigga. Yeah, Leon, probably within this last year. I’m the only other female. That's only this year tho’, we’ve been fuckin’ way longer than a year. But even then you was still in a relationship, fuckin’ other bitches aside from me and yo main.” My hands waved in his face. “Point is, I don’t wanna date you on some real shit. We have fun, that’s all it is, baby,” I told him the truth.

“I ain’t tryna pissed you off, nor do I want to hurt you,” I continued. “We’ve been cool too long and if it’s coming to the point where we gotta have this talk every time we fuck then I’d prefer we stop now. I’d rather be yo friend then some fuck thing any day. Like I said, we been cool for way too long to let feelings ever get in the way of that. Think on it, but just know I ain’t looking for a relationship,” I explained calmly. I knew if I kept the conversation going we would’ve been out there for hours arguing and that was stupid to me because we weren’t even together.

“Whatever, Ang. You gonna do you regardless of what I say, but yo ass know I wouldn’t dog you like that. It’s good, tho. So who’s this other nigga you fuckin’?” Leon leaned against my car and folded his arms over his broad chest.

I was not about to get into that with him. “Leon, move so I can go. Don’t nobody got time for yo ass,” I tried to push him out of the way, but he wouldn’t move. “Come on, Leon, damn.”

“N’all, tell me who this nigga is. I ain’t gonna do shit, I’m just trying to see if I know him,” he licked his lip with a slight smile.

Smacking my lips, I rolled my eyes at him, already knowing what he was trying to do. I was not about to stay there with him. “You don’t know him so drop it, okay. Move, Leon, damn,” I pushed his hands away from my waist.

“Come on, stop playing,” he grabbed me again. Once he did, screeching tires sounded loud from the side of us. “Damn,” Leon mumbled as he let go of me and then pushed himself off of my car.

I glanced to the side of me and saw that all too familiar grey Impala. Daffy’s tied tongue ass hopped out of the car and started yelling. My eyes rolled into my head.

“So you not gonna answer the fuckin’ phone, for real, Leon?” She walked up and pushed him against my car. “Then yo ass gonna ditch my brother? Is this the bitch you fuckin’?” She snapped, muffing him.

I honestly didn’t see why he was with her. I mean, she was cute, I’d give her that, but she was dull as fuck.

“Jennifer, don’t come over here with that shit and watch that fuckin’ bitch word. Get the fuck off of me,” Leon pushed her hard as hell, making her fall.

I wasn’t about to stand there watching their stupid asses argue. “I’ight, Lee, I’m out. I’ll see you later.” I didn’t want the drama, I was already tired as hell. Going home and getting into my bed was all I was itching for.

“N’all, bitch, don’t try to leave. Leon, is this the bitch you stayed with last night? This the hoe you fuckin’?” As Jennifer said that last bit, she swung on me and I mean she rocked the shit out of my ass.

“Jennifer, what the fuck is wrong with you?” Leon asked as he yanked her back.

He shouldn’t have done that because once she was an inch away from me, I snatched her ass right back to me. Then I grabbed a hand full of her hair and swung her ass on the hood of my car. As soon as she hit it, my fist started connecting to her face, pounding as hard as I could.

“Bitch, you don’t fuckin’ know me. Don’t you ever put yo fuckin’ hands on me, you stupid ass bitch,” I yelled, slamming her head into the hood of my car.

“Angel, let her go man, damn!” Leon grabbed me, yanking me off of her.

Jennifer was swinging back, but a fuckin’ hit never fazed me. I grew up in the projects, all we did was fight and we learned that in a fight you was gon’ get hit regardless.

As Leon yanked me, I pulled her with me, kneeing her ass repeatedly in the face. Letting go of her hair, my knee hit her face again, causing her to go backward. Once she did, my foot followed that blow, booting the fuck outta her in the face and making her ass fall hard into my car.

“Leon, let me go.” Putting me down, Leon pushed me to my car.

“Get the fuck outta here, y’all mothafuckas stupid! Angel, take yo ass home,” Leon snapped, which I paid no mind to.

“Yo bitch shouldn’t have put her fuckin’ hands on me with her stupid ass.”

“Bitch, you stupid, you ugly, black bitch!” Jennifer yelled, tryna run back up until Leon caught her.

“I can be an ugly bitch, but this ugly bitch just whooped yo ass you dumb ass hoe! Leon, let her go. Bitch, run up, stupid ass gon’ try to get a cheap shot and still got yo ass whoop! Bitch, run up!” I snapped, slapping my fist against my palm.

“Bitch, I’ll kill yo ass! Leon, let me the fuck go!” She wiggled in his hold.

“Yeah, let her go, Leon. I ain’t going nowhere, bitch. Yeah, we fuckin! And what? You gon’ whoop my ass? We fuck’d all night ‘til the morning, bitch, and we gon’ fuck again tonight. And I’mma reject yo mothafuckin’ call again. And what?” I yelled, walking up to her, tryna grab her ass. But Leon’s big ass held her while pushing me back.

“Angel, get the fuck outta here, yo ass being fuckin’ stupid now. Get the fuck outta here,” Leon snapped, pushing me again.

To be honest, I didn’t think Jennifer was really trying to get free since she’d seen I wasn’t going anywhere. Instead of her coming after me, I was walking up to her.

“Leon, don’t be fuckin’ pushing me. That bitch wanted to run up. Come on, bitch! Leon, let her go! Bitch, you fuckin’ with the right one, come on, bitch.” Running around Leon, I snatched her head sideways, slamming my fist into her face a few more times.

“Angel, get the fuck outta here, damn! Stupid ass. Gone,” prying my hands from her hair, Leon pushed me again and this time I hit him. “Bitch, you done lost yo fuckin’ mind!”

I hit his ass again. “Fuck you! You need to check yo bitch, let her ass know her mothafuckin’ place. Don’t fuckin’ come at me, boss. Bitch, I handles mine, fuck outta here. Get the fuck off my car!” Jerking my door open, half of my body got into the car. I didn’t even get in good before the bitch started yelling.

  Why bitches do that?

“Yeah, bitch! You better get the fuck outda here. Yo ass better stay the fuck away from him or I’mma beat yo mothafuckin’ ass!” She yelled, kicking my car hard.

  Oh, hell n’all!

“Bitch, shut the fuck up! Angel, she ain’t mean that shit. Gon’ take yo ass home. Jennifer, shut the fuck up, stupid ass!” Leon said, pushing her toward the front yard of his house.

“You better check her ass. I ain’t that bitch you wanna fuck with. Bitch and I pop, so yo ass know, boss, bitch try something!” I yelled at her. That girl had the nerve to turn around and run towards my car like she was coming at me. But once I got in a fight stance, she stopped.

; “Bitch, get the fuck off my yard before I call the police!” She threatened.

I laughed. “Oh, this yo shit? You might wanna change yo sheets and scrub the couches, all of’em, bitch.” Leon, gave me that bitch I’m gon’ kill yo ass look, making me laugh. “I’m gone, I’ll see you later.” Getting in my car, just to show that bitch I wasn’t fucked up about her stupid ass, I sat right there. Opening my glove compartment, I got the rest of Parkers weed from last night and the grape swisher.

After licking the swisher down the middle and dumping the tobacco out the window, I continue to wet the swisher. Grabbing the baggy from the passenger seat and pouring its contents in the middle of the swisher, I then rolled it. After lighting along the edges, once I knew the blunt was sealed, I lit it.

I was heated and needed to calm my damn nerves because I was itching to just run my ass in that house and beat her ass again.

After taking a couple of hits, I got ready to pull off when a weird tune started going off. Turning the radio down, I searched for the weird sound. Grabbing my wallet and opening it, I pulled the white and silver iPhone out. My brows furrowed as I stared at the back of the ringing device, not remembering where the hell I got it from. I turned it around and looked at the screen. The name on it had me even more confused.

  “Hello?” I answered slowly.

“Didn’t think I was gon’ get an answer. What’s up, Syn, baby?” He asked.

My stomach immediately tightened. “Who is this?” I asked dumbly, like his name hadn’t popped up on the screen.

“Syn, why the fuck you playing?” He asked.

  “Parker?”

He hummed through the line. “Mm, you know who it is.”

Immediately, I hung up and turned the phone off. I was not about to mix work with my outside life. It was too risky and I didn’t want anyone’s feelings to get hurt. It was bad enough with Leon and given the fact that part of me liked Parker, I really needed to keep my distance. Parker made me feel different when we were together.

I bit into my lower lip. Mentally, I shook my head while physically taking a pull on the swisher, inhaling a lung full of smoke as I pushed Parker from my thoughts.

  Chapter 10

  Angel

“See, you bitches is wrong. That’s why I don’t like you hoes now,” I laughed, pushing Missy away from me. “No, I was telling Peaches that earlier about Missy and those hoes. I swear she had me in the middle of the fuckin’ club about to beat the fuck outda this butch and I ain’t even know who her bitch was. Missy ass done straight turned into another Mya on our asses,” I laughed, but Missy didn’t find that funny.

“Don’t even bring that bitch up, I cannot get rid of her ass for shit. Now when we we’re fuckin’ on a regular she would play my ass, but now that I’m moving on I can’t get rid of that bitch. She’s like a fuckin’ dog on my ass sniffing,” Missy stated, frustrated.

“Hoe, don’t play my sister. She likes yo ass and tryna do better so don’t play her, bitch, knowing damn well yo ass gon’ be at the house later tonight,” Kimmy fussed with a roll of her eyes.

Laughing, I raised a brow at Missy.

“Bitch, whatever, you don’t know shit. Anyway, Ang, Jackie tryna see what yo coochie like,” Missy smiled at me behind her cup.

“Peach, you see what I mean. I don’t have time for this bitch and them nasty ass hoes she fucks with. Baby, I like dick, so stop and keep them bitches away from me. Their straps ain’t coming nowhere near my coochie,” I told her, making Peaches laugh.

Peaches’ hands clapped together and she turned fully to face me. “Speaking of bitches, what’s this I hear about you beating Leon’s girl’s ass? What the fuck happened with that? You don’t even fuck with Leon like that, so how the hell you wind up beating Jennifer’s ass?” She asked, picking up her cup.

I didn’t want them to know I was fuckin’ Leon and I didn’t know how to tell them without it getting out there. “How you hear about that?” I asked her instead.

“Jerron. Leon called him about some work and ended up telling him. My nosey ass overheard so I had to make sho my bitch was good. From what Leon told Ron, you fuck’d her up. He pissed too, but what happened?” Peaches asked, looking at her phone.

“Long story short, I ran into Leon in the city and took him home. We were standing outside talking when his bitch pulled up yelling about some bullshit. The next thing I know, she asking him if he was fuckin’ me. She’s like, ‘you fuckin’ this hoe,’ right. As she said that, the bitch just started swinging on my ass. I ain’t gon’ lie, she got me when her ass caught me off guard, knocked the shit out my ass. But I beat the fuck outta her. I got a few marks, but nothing serious, you know.” Shrugging, I took a sip of Red Berry Ciroc and pineapple juice.

“That’s crazy for her to just swing on you like that when she knows Leon’s a hoe. Hell, he was fuckin’ with one of her girls before they got together. They ass was fuckin’ before he even broke up with ol’ girl and got with her,” Peaches shook her head before she shrugged.

Nodding my head in agreement, I remembered thinking that same thing the night her dumb ass called. “Bet that bitch gon’ think twice before giving a cheap shot again.” My eyes rolled just thinking about the bullshit. “Mm, where the hell King at? How that nigga gon’ be late for his own mothafuckin’ party? You can’t get any shallower than that. He two hours late,” I said, finishing my drink.

“He had to run out to Springfield for something,” Peaches shrugged, making me hum.

What the hell he have to go there for? I didn’t even know he did business out there.

“Oh, what time E gets off? Is she even coming to the party?” I asked. Having not talked to her at all that day, I didn’t know.

“She said she was gon’ stop by. That damn boat been working my girl to death, but knowing E’s ass, she probably won’t show up with her stubborn ass,” Peaches answered just as Kim got up.

“I’ll be right back,” she mumbled, walking off.

Looking at the direction she was headed, I spotted Bellow’s crazy ass and just shook my head. Kim’s ass had that nigga wrapped around her finger, but she was playing with fire by continuing to fuck with Mike. Both of those niggas were crazy as fuck and I knew I was going to hate to see how shit goes down when Mike find out she’s been fuckin’ with Bellow. Kimmy’s ass was slick with hiding it, though.

“King must be here because Bell was with him and Blaze. I need to go find Blaze’s ass anyways, I’ll be back,” Peaches dusted off her butt and walked in the same direction Kim went.

“We’ll, I’m about to get another drink. You want one?” I asked Missy.

“N’all, I’m cool. I’m just gon’ sip on this for the night, I ain’t tryna get wasted, wasted,” Missy stated, making me laugh.

“Well, bitch, I’m sitting with the wrong mothafucka. I’m tryna get lit,” I explained, laughing as I got up. Fixing the back of my black dress, I walked to the table where the alcohol sat. Grabbing the bottle of Ciroc, I filled my cup up.

“You gon’ make my drink too?”

Looking over my shoulder to Smoke, I put my drink down and picked up a blue plastic cup. “What you drinking?” I asked while already reaching for the bottle of Hennessey which seemed to be all those niggas drank around there.

“You got it right, I don’t fuck with shit but that dark,” he replied.

I turned and handed Smoke his cup before picking mine up. “You ain’t got no rollers?” I was on edge and needed those damn pills.

“Yeah, I think I got about three left. It’s ice tho, you want it?” He dug in his pocket and pulled out a baggy.

Reaching in my bra, I took out the money I had. Pulling off three twenties, I sat them on the table.

Smoke stepped closer to me, wrapped his arm around my waist and slickly grabbed the money off the table as he pushed a torn baggy in my hand. With the money still in his hand Smoke grabbed my ass, squeezing it.

“Smoke, don’t make me beat yo ass. Move yo han
d.”

Smoke licked his lips, smiling. “I’m just tryna make it look good. What you been on, tho? You wanna kick it?”

Rolling my eyes, I laughed as I pushed him back. “N’all, baby, you good,” I declined.

“Let’s dance then, one dance. Come on with yo cute, little, black ass.”

I smacked my lips but laughed no less. “One dance, Smoke, and don’t yo ass get to touchy either,” I told him as he led us to the sand where everybody was dancing. Turning away from him, I finished my drink and tossed the empty cup to the side as I began to dance with Smoke.

Even though I never wanted to take stripping on as a profession, it didn’t change the fact I really loved dancing. At just about every party, I’d be in the middle of the floor dancing with whomever or by myself, it didn’t matter to me. I loved the beats of the songs and how I quickly lost myself in them.

Locking my fingers with Smoke’s, I held our hands above my head as I started to grind against him, thrusting my butt against his pelvis while rolling my hips. I moved down his body, going to the ground and slowly coming back up. Leaning forward, I pushed more into him as I started shaking my ass against him.

“Syn?” I vaguely heard over the music.

At first I thought I was just hearing things so I continued dancing. The Ciroc had started to kick in. My body hummed as I began feeling myself. Closing my eyes, I started losing myself more.

“Syn?” The voice was louder and closer. “Syn, baby, that’s you?”

The familiarity of the voice caused my eyes to snap open. And instantly they connected with Parker’s light brown ones.

“Damn, Syn. This how you do?” He asked, looking from me to Smoke.

My mouth opened then closed, not believing he was standing right there.

“Nigga, who the fuck you calling? Ain’t no damn Syn here?” King said, coming behind Parker who was followed by Blaze.
