Syn: Sex Is Syn, Love Is Pain Page 12

by J Peach

  Oh, Damn!

I was not expecting that encounter at all. What the hell was I supposed to do? “Happy Birthday, King.” Walking up to him, I gave him a hug and he kissed my cheek.

“Thanks, baby. What the fuck you doing with this mark ass nigga?” King pointed to Smoke who laughed. They shook up. “Smoke, don’t be getting no ideas, this like my sister, nigga,” I rolled my eyes at him. “Where Peaches at?” He asked just as Leon walked over to him.

Leon handed him a cup then glance at me with a smile.

“Um… she was looking for him a minute ago,” I pointed to Blaze then looked around to see if I saw her. “There she is over there,” I ignored Parker completely. God, I hope he doesn’t say anything else.

“I’ight, Angel. Stay away from Smoke’s ass. Smoke, you try some slick shit, I’mma pop yo ass,” King threatened, making me laugh as he walked away. Blaze and Leon followed behind him.

It wasn’t a surprise that Leon didn’t say anything to me, we hardly talked when King or my girls were around.

“Damn, you really not gon’ say shit to me? Thought we were better than this, sweetheart?” Parker spoke once again.

I ignored him and turned to Smoke. “Thanks for the dance. I’ll catch up with you later.” With that said, I started walking in the opposite direction of the party, already knowing Parker was going to follow me. Once we were farther down the beach, he finally stopped me by grabbing my arm.

“Yo, hold the fuck up, Syn, damn. Why yo ass wanna act new like you don’t know a nigga, but when we at the club it’s a whole different story? What the fuck is this about?” Parker asked.

“Here my name is Angel not Syn, so stop calling me that. Secondly, nobody knows I dance, so you can’t tell them. If anybody finds out I know you then they’ll wanna know how we know each other and why the hell you’re calling me Syn. Baby, I ain’t tryna play you, I’m just trying to keep Syn separate from Angel.” Same person, same body, but completely different lives. I wanted to keep Syn in the dark and away from Angel. It was best that way.

With one arm folded over his chest, his fingers stroked at his chin as he stared down at me. “Angel, could’ve fooled me.” He licked his lips. “Mhm, so now that I’m here, can I get to know Angel or you gon’ avoid me for the rest of the night?” He asked.

I didn’t know how to answer. I didn’t want to mix personal with business. I also didn’t want to avoid him either. He was looking good as hell, just like every other night I saw him. He was dressed in a loose fitting, royal blue, Coogi shirt with matching baggy jeans. He wore a long, silver, bone chain, a diamond, solid, white gold, Cuban link bracelet, and a diamond in his right ear. On top of his light brown skin looking good in the evening sun, the deep, red, angry scars above his right eye and across his left cheek made him look dangerous as well.

Parker was sexy as hell and he looked even better in the light compared to the dimly lit club I’d seen him in every other night.

“I don’t mix business with personal—”

“Then I’m no longer yo business. I wanna get to know you on some real shit. I done got to know Syn and I like her no doubt, but I wanna know you, the woman outside the club. You owe me for hanging up on my ass too, and then yo ass turn off the phone. You did me dirty, Syn… Angel. Had me thinking I’m about to get up with yo ass, but you hang up on a nigga,” Parker said with a slight mug.

Biting into my lip, I now realized how childish that was. I looked away from him. “That wasn’t my fault, it was a bad reception,” I lied, which he didn’t seem to buy. Walking up to me, his arms wrapped around my waist.

“So Angel a liar I see,” he looked down at me.

Laughing, I rolled my eyes. “Syn made her do it,” I joked.

Suddenly, giddiness started to form in the pit of my stomach. I glanced down at his arms that held me. Licking my lips, I let out a sigh before looking back to him.

“Parker, I’m not looking to date. I’m telling you this now so you won’t get the wrong impression because of some of the shit I may do or say. If you’re coming into Angel’s world, then we’re friends that fuck on occasion, that’s it. Don’t go labeling or claiming we something that we’re not. Same goes for me, no jealousy. I can’t have you as a friend if you gon’ be possessive and running every nigga away that looks at me, that can never happen. And nobody can know about Syn. If you can live with that then… we can work something out,” I offered my only way of doing anything with him.

“Hell n’all, I ain’t agreeing to none of that stupid shit. This’s how it’s gon’ go sweetheart, you don’t want yo little folks to find out about Syn, then you’re available to me when needed. When I call, you answer. When I wanna get up with yo ass, you cancel yo plans. That how this gon’ go. Now if you can’t agree then let me know now and every nigga around this bitch gon’ know about Syn and Red Light. So let me know what’s good.”

  Is this nigga blackmailing me?

Not believing what I thought I was hearing, I asked the question out loud. “Are you blackmailing me?” Disbelief was heavy in my voice. I’d never been blacked mailed in my life so I was kind of confused with knowing if that’s what was happening or not.

“Sweetheart, you can take it how you want, but you heard my terms. That’s the only way this gon’ be done. If you can’t go by them then let me know now,” he was blackmailing me.

“You a childish ass nigga! Who the fuck blackmail people nowadays any mothafuckin’ way?” I couldn’t believe that shit.

“And you a playful ass bitch, but you don’t see me complaining. I’m still tryna get at yo ass. So what you gon’ do?” His lips formed into a crooked smirk.

I swung at his face, trying to knock that stupid, but sexy look off of it because he already knew my answer.

Parker caught my wrist and jerked me to him. “I hit back, so don’t pass a hit if you can’t take one. Now let me hear it.”

Rolling my eyes, I jerked my arms free. “Do I have a fuckin’ choice?”

Smiling, Parker stared down at me as his thumb traced over my bottom lip. “Of course you do, beautiful. So what’s that choice gon’ be?”

I wanted to knock that stupid, sexy smile off his fuckin’ face. “Fine, we’ll do it yo way. Can I go now?” Not waiting on an answer, I went to walk around him but he stepped in my way.

“We just got together, shouldn’t we kiss or something?” He was pushing it.

“Or something like… you die…” Parker’s lips came down on mine, cutting off my sentence. I tried pushing him away, but that only made him rougher as he took a hand full of my hair. His fist tightening on my hair was almost painful.

My breathing hitched as the arm around my waist tightened and I was being lifted off of the ground. Instinctively, my legs wrapped around his waist as my arms circled his neck, my lips moving in tune with his. But the moment I started to get into it, Parker pulled back, his hand leaving my hair and going to my ass.

“Mhm, you don’t seem too pissed,” he teased before he took on a more serious look. “All I want is a chance. I ain’t no A-1 nigga, I got my flaws like I know you got yours, but fuck with me, Syn. I like yo little black ass and I don’t fuck with nobody, so let me know you,” he looked sincere about wanting to get to know me.

I just couldn’t take the chance of getting my feelings involved with another hood. “With you saying that, does it mean I get a choice to say no without you blackmailing me?” I asked hopefully.

“Hell n’all. If yo ass don’t, I’mma tell everybody. You don’t answer the fuckin’ phone when I call, yo shit gon’ be all through this damn city.”

Mugging him, I pushed his shoulder. “You’s a fuck ass nigga for this shit, put me down.” He did as I said and I pushed his ass harder before walking around him.

“Baby, I’mma call you in the morning, i’ight?” Parker’s humor filled voice called after me.

Sticking up my middle finger, I kept walking, my hips swaying angrily as I went. Parker’s laughter ech
oed behind me, I wanted so badly to turn around and stab his ass.

Finding my girls, I went over to them and as soon as I saw Ebony I sat on her.

“Damn, Ang, you almost made me waste my drink.” Rolling my eyes, a pout formed on my lips. “What’s wrong with you?” she asked.

Missy responded to her for me. “Sexy over there done pissed her off,” she pointed to Parker who had found his way to King and his group.

“He is cute and tall. Shid, can I ride tho?” E asked, checking Parker out and making me muff her.

“Bitch, no you cannot,” I said, laughing. Glancing back over at Parker, my eyes met his. He jerked his head toward the parking lot, but I stuck up my middle finger at him, causing him to laugh.

“Ang, he looking pretty hard over here. I’m with E, can I ride, shit?” Peaches stated, head tilted to the side as she looked him over. “I could probably handle that. Look at all those damn muscles, just stupid for no damn reason. But, my god—”

“Damn, Peach, chill the fuck out! You getting a little too descriptive over there, mama.” Parker was sexy as hell and big like a mini mountain with all those humps and bumps on his arms, shoulders, and torso.

“He wants some, look at him giving the head nod. Bitch, you better go see what’s that’s like before I think he talking to me,” Ebony said, pushing me.

Kimmy hummed her agreement. “I’m saying, though.”

I didn’t know if it was jealousy or what, but I was starting to get a little irritated with their jokes. It probably wasn’t jealousy, it could simply have been me not liking where their heads were with the idea of Parker and me.

“Y’all need to stop because it’s not going there. I mean, of course I might ride, but shid, that’s about it. If he’s associated with King then how good could he be? I ain’t got time for no triflin ass hood.” Even though I knew what Parker did for a living by simply asking around at the club, they didn’t need to know what I knew.

“Not all hoods are bad, tho. I mean, look at Blaze for instance… What?” Peaches asked, seeming defensive as we all burst out laughing. “What’s funny?” She asked with an attitude which only made us laugh more.

“One, using Blaze psychotic ass isn’t a good example, especially not for me seeing as he shot at me. Secondly, the mothafucka is antisocial who only talk to literally a hand full of people. And three, after a year of knowing us he still doesn’t know any of our names. I’m Black Ass, E is Big Mouth Trick, Missy is Lips and whenever he’s referring to Kim—”

“Peaches’ cute, chubby friend is what I’m referred to as and I tell that nigga my name every time I see him. So yeah, baby, I agree with Ang on this, you can’t use Blaze as an example.” Kimmy agreed along with Missy and Ebony.

“Y’all just gotta get to know him and him y’all—ugh, you bitches right. Well, just trust me on this, Blaze not that bad once you’re able to look over the asshole in him and I’m not making this any better.” Laughing, she shook her head. “Well, try his ass out to see what the dick like then come back and tell me. Shit, he probably ain’t got no dick tho, his ass gotta be shooting steroids, big mothafucka. He bigger than Blaze and King…”

“Girl, shut the fuck up, stupid ass. He ain’t shooting no damn steroids. Peach, yo ass got issues, mama,” I told her, laughing.

“Bitch, why the fuck is you sitting on me? Get up,” Ebony pushed me, but I didn’t move.

“Here they come,” Kim stated, nodding behind us. Sure enough Blaze, King, and Parker was walking our way.

“E, act like you my girlfriend and kiss me,” I was tipsy and playing too much into this act.

“Bitch, hell n’all. Get off of me. You better go to Peaches ass, she the only one that kisses friends,” Ebony said and I looked at Peaches.

“Hell n’all, Missy might get jealous. Girl, give that man some coochie and stop playing. Otherwise I’mma find out if that ass on steroids because I’mma be all on that shit like a cowgirl riding a horse. Heehaw, gotdammit, heehaw!” Peaches’ stupid ass blurted while twirling an arm, making us burst into a fit of laughter.

“Peaches, shut the fuck up! Ugh, bitch, you stupid!” I swear that damn girl was crazy.

“Peaches, yo ass retarded for that shit. Why would you say that?” Kimmy laughed before taking a sip of her drink.

“I’m just being honest,” she mumbled as they made it towards us. “King, don’t come over here with that shit,” Peaches waved the weed smoke away.

“We outside, this shit ain’t bothering you.” King hit the blunt and deliberately blew the smoke in Peaches direction.

“Gone with yo stupid ass,” she waved him off before her eyes slid to Parker. “Who's your friend?” Peaches asked, making me roll my eyes.

“Parker, these bitches is trouble so stay away from them. That’s my ol’ girl right there, so stay the fuck away from her,” King introduced, pointing to Ebony who rolled her eyes.

Smiling at her, I brought my mouth to her ear and whispered. “Bet yo ass wish you played lesbian now.” Laughing, Ebony successfully pushed me off her lap.

“Hey, Angel, can you go get me a drink? Parker, maybe you can go with her?” Missy suggested with a sly little smirk.

I wanted to slap her big lip ass. “N’all, my damn feet hurt—” I started saying.

“What you drinking?” Parker asked, cutting me off and pulling me up.

I snatched away from him and sat back down. “Ain’t shit wrong with that bitch feet, she can go get her own drink,” I snapped, mugging the hell out of Missy.

“Man, bring yo ass on,” Parker jerked me up.

“Nuh uh, nigga, who the fuck you talking to like that? You got the wrong bitch, homie,” Ebony snapped at him while Peaches, Kim, and Missy jumped up from their seats.

Parker didn't even realize the danger he had walked into when he snapped at me. Oh, God! We were about to have to jump his ass and I couldn’t stop it or say it was cool because I wasn’t supposed to know him.

“Sit y’all’s violent asses down some fuckin’ where, damn. Bitches always tryna fight some damn body, sit the fuck down,” King snapped, pulling on Ebony, but she quickly jerked away from him.

“Don’t be fuckin’ grabbing on me, ain’t nobody got time fah no disrespectful ass nigga. It’s bad enough we gotda deal with you two bitches,” Ebony pointed between King and Blaze.

“Who the fuck you calling a bitch, you big mouth trick? King, you better get yo bitch before I slap the fuck outda her ass,” Blaze muffed Ebony hard, making her fall down.

“B, why the hell did you push her like that?” Peaches pushed Blaze back away from Ebony.

Kim helped Ebony up and started going off. “All you niggas ‘bout to get sliced. Baby, you cute and all, but all them muscles ain’t gon’ get yo ass nowhere over here. Don’t be grabbing on my bitch or talking stupid to her unless you want it. Shid, just say the word,” Kimmy showed her Desert Eagle.

Peaches moved away from Blaze and smiled. “Baby, just tell us how you want it,” she pulled her little gun from her waist.

Ebony said nothing, she simply raised her shirt, showing her 9mm.

“Daddy, you can catch a hot one or get sliced, I got both.” Missy’s crazy ass pulled out her machete and her 9mm from that damn bag her ass always carried.

There wasn't a need for me to reach in my bra for my little 22. When my girls already had their shit out.

“Y’all some little gangsta ass bitches, huh?” Parker said, full on laughing. “That shit cute, yo. Y’all ain’t scaring no damn body, tho—”

  POW!

  A shot rang out.

Parker’s words were cut off and he quickly pulled his gun, aiming it towards Peaches.

My little baby quickly left the side of my breast as I pulled it out and aimed it at Parker just like the rest of the girls.

“Peaches, what the fuck?” King snapped, both his and Blaze’s guns came out as well once Peaches’ Ruger went off.

“Sorry, I thought the safety was on. You
ain’t gotda yell at me, tho!” Peaches snapped at King. “It was a fuckin’ accident,” she explained. Looking at Parker, she gave him a shy smile as she tucked a piece of hair behind her ear. “Sorry,” she mumbled sheepishly.

Only Peaches’ crazy ass would have her finger on the trigger. I swear sometimes there was no denying who she was related to. She was about to have us shoot Parker because of her fuckin’ mistake.

“Give me that gotdamn gun, stupid ass. Yo damn finger shouldn’t be on the fuckin’ trigger,” King snatched Peaches’ gun and put it in his pocket.

I sure can use that damn drink now.

“Let’s go get me a drink before you get shot out here,” I took hold of Parker’s forearm and tried to pull him back, but he didn’t move. He was too busy focusing on Peaches.

“Yo, don’t be fuckin’ stupid. This bitch gon’ go right into the middle of yo forehead,” Blaze told Parker, the red beam on his gun making a mark on his forehead.

“Boss, yo ass gon’ get lit the fuck up,” King told him, cocking his gun.

“I ain’t worried about it,” Parker told them, not fazed by their guns. From the crazed look in his eyes, I knew he wasn’t lying.

“Y’all, it ain’t even that serious. Put y’all’s guns down.” Neither of them moved. “Parker, come on. Peaches, Ebony?” I called them, already knowing Blaze or King ain’t have a problem shooting and from the look on Parkers face, neither did he

“Why the hell you calling me for?” Ebony asked, making me mug her.

“Bitch get King, it was an accident. Parker, put yo damn gun down.” Again my words went unheard it seemed. I swear black folks can never get together without stupid shit happening. “Parker!” I snapped at him, which caused my voice to rise.

He glanced down at me for a second, then looked back towards King and Blaze. That’s when he lowered his gun and tucked it in his jeans.

“Thank her,” he told Peaches before letting me pull him away. Once we were farther away from my group, Parker snatched away from me. “That bitch could’ve shot me. I should’ve blown a hole in her fuckin’ chest,” he snapped while reaching in his pocket to pull out a cigarette.
