Seduce Me (The Heart Series) Page 15

by Angela Estienne

“One orange juice coming right up for you.” I decided if he could flirt, then I needed to give him a taste of his own medicine.

I watched him eating from the safety of the kitchen, he made eating a simple sandwich look sexy and the way he picked up the glass and took a drink was just damn right erotic. After he had finished, I went over to his table to clear up the dishes.

“Was that to your liking sir?”

“Please call me Luke, sir just sounds so formal.”

“If that’s what you want Luke, I am here to please.” He growled at me and replied.

“God I wish that was true, but I would need to teach you some manners first.” I felt my face flush again. He looked me in the eyes, “why Jasmine, you are looking a little flushed, you would like me to put you over my knee wouldn’t you?”

“No, it is just warm in here that all.”

“No it’s not, I know what you are thinking about.”

“I have no idea what you are talking about.”

  “Don’t be embarrassed about it.”

“There is nothing to be embarrassed about.” I walked back into the kitchen, smiling all the way. Calm down Jazz, calm down. I walked back to the counter, he stood up and put his jacket on. He walked over to me and paid. On his way out of the door he said.

“I will see you the same time tomorrow then Jazz.”

“See you Luke,” I replied. When did I get so brave? This has never been my character.

I was thankful when my shift ended, my body was crying out to be serviced. I made it home in record time, I was just about to throw my bag on the sofa when I smelt something cooking, I then went into the kitchen, Dylan was making some dinner.

“Hi Jazz,” he said. I had forgotten he was here.

“I am just going for a quick shower, I will be back down soon,” I replied.

“But your dinner is almost ready.”

“Can it wait? I really need a shower, it was a hard shift at the coffee shop, I smell.”

“Yeah, just be quick.” I ran upstairs thankful that I had covered my tracks well. As I was masturbating, I was fantasizing about Mr blue eyes, it seemed so wrong getting off thinking about him, but it worked very well, service complete. The shower was making me feel human again, I was starving, I must have used all my energy upstairs, I thought, giggling to myself.

I walked back into the kitchen.

“Come and take a seat Jazz you look worn out, I have made you your dinner, look Pizza, one of your favourites.”

“Thank you, but what do you want?”

“What do you mean? Can’t I do something nice for my best friend without there being an underlying reason for it?” He sounded all offended. Maybe I was wrong. I reached over and gave him a cuddle.

“Sorry Dylan, I didn’t mean it like that, this is a lovely surprise, thank you.”

“Jazz?” He said, flashing his big brown eyes at me.

“I knew it, what do you want?”

“Can I borrow your laptop, please, pretty please, with a cherry on top, you know you want to.”

  “Where is yours?”

“Upstairs, but I forgot to bring my charger.” He looked totally and utterly embarrassed about it.

“Fine I just need it for ten minutes first after dinner and then it will be all yours.”

“You are the best Jasmine.” He came over and gave me a cuddle. He poured me a glass of non-alcoholic white wine and took a seat next to me.

“So Jazz how was your day then?”

“Good.” I could feel my cheeks flushing at the return of my afternoon’s memories.

“Come on, what’s going on? You are looking very flushed Jasmine Williams.”

“There is this guy that comes into the coffee shop, he sits down, has his lunch, flirts a bit then leaves.”

  “So is he hot?”

  “Yes.”

  “Really? Like hot hot?”

  “Yeah, like molten hot.”

“Wow, and what do you feel about that?”

“I don’t really know. It is confusing.”

  “So how does he flirt?”

“It really doesn’t matter how he flirts.”

“It so does matter, come on spit it out.”

“Fine, he came in for a BLT the one day, then he said he would want the same food tomorrow or he was going to smack my bum, then I ask him what he wants to drink, and he replies me, that sort of stuff.”

“Oh my Jazz, is he tasty though?” He had a lovely cheeky smile appear on his face.

“Yeah he really is, my knees go weak when he is around me, I can’t think straight. And to top it all off I get aroused looking at him. I should be offended at a stranger wanting to give my bum a smack, but the total opposite happens, he is sexy yet mysterious, soft yet abrupt, there is something about him but I cannot explain it.”

“So do you know the guy’s name?”

“Yeah but you won’t believe it?”

  “Try me.”

“Are you sure you can handle this bro?”

“Come on, out with it then.”

  “Luke Heart.”

  “No way, thee Luke Heart?”

  “Yep.”

“He is so hot, we do a piece on him nearly every week. I think I could be ‘turned’ to spend a night with him.” I shoved his arm.

“You are so wrong Dylan Fisher.”

“I am being very serious Jazz, he really is a bad boy hunk.”

  “Behave yourself.”

“So do you think he likes you?”

“No, I just think he has a very strange sense of humour.”

“Are you liking the coffee shop then?”

“Yeah, but the uniform is a bit off.”

“Off, I will need more than that sis.”

“Let’s just say, I feel like I am in a porno movie.”

  “Pardon?”

“Short black skirt, frilly apron, stockings and a suspender belt.”

“Wow, I am going to have to visit you at work, I have got to see this for myself. I will take a picture and send it to Caitlin.”

“Don’t even think about it Dylan Fisher.” He started laughing.

I went and got my laptop out of the living room and brought it into the kitchen.

“So what are you up to now?”

“Watch and see.” I sat down at the kitchen table, Dylan sat right next to me, I brought up an auction site. Now let’s see if I can find a second hand bike, I only wanted it for running around town so I think I should stick to a 125 cc for now. I hadn’t been on a bike for a few years, but I did have my full licence for one. I typed in Honda Rebel 125 and hit search.

“Oh my god Jazz, you are getting another motorbike aren’t you?”

“I certainly am. It is about time I got something that I really wanted.” I was surprised at how many were actually available. I started clicking my way through them and then I clicked on a dark purple one with a sissy bar attached.

  ‘Honda CA 125 Rebel

  1998

  Only two previous owners

  Excellent Condition

  Mot & Tax

  Comes with handbook

Only done 992 miles, god now that is very low mileage

We can deliver at an extra cost

1 day left on the auction.’ This sounded perfect for me, I placed my maximum bid, now it was just a waiting game.

Next I needed a new helmet and riding gear, I had got rid of mine when I sold my last motorbike, I typed into the search bar Helmet. Here we go the first one to pop up looked lovely.

  ‘Meets the British Safety Standard

  Clear visor

  Flip up front, excellent

  Available in Black

Blue tooth interface with volume control on the side.’ They had my size so I was sold. It was the same seller that I was hoping to get the bike from, buy and pay, done.

Next I wanted a proper biking jacket, so I put it in the search, pages upon pages came up, right I need to narrow this down a
bit, I clicked on ladies jackets, that certainly narrowed down my options. I scrolled down the page. I found one that I liked the look of I clicked on it.

  ‘Adjustable Fit

  Attachment Zip

Long curved back with a zip to attach it to your trousers, now that is handy, I always hated the draft up my back when I was riding

  Approved armour

  Hi visibility reflective strips

  Removable lining

  Thermal lining

  Vented

Waterproof.’ They even had matching trousers, it was off the same seller again, this was perfect, they could bring me it all when they dropped my bike off if I managed to win it, click, and pay, sold, now I just needed some gauntlets so I searched through the same sellers items. I found what I was looking for.

  ‘Breathable

  Hi-visibility/reflective strips

  Soft armour

  Thermal

  Waterproof

Velcro + zip fasteners.’ Click and pay, then I was stunned, payment rejected, what do you mean payment rejected? I looked at Dylan.

“What the hell?” I know for certain that I had plenty of money in the bank to cover this payment, but I was at a loss to what was happening.

“I don’t know Jazz.” He was as lost as I was, then my phone started ringing, withheld number, I picked it up and answered the call.

“Miss Williams it is Jersey Annual Bank calling.”

“Hello.” What are they ringing me for? They have never rung me before, ever. After confirming my identity with a million stupid questions, we finally could get to the point of their call.

“We believe your debit card has been stolen, we have put a stop on your card for you.”

“Why? What makes you think it has been stolen?” Now I was starting to panic.

“We have just had some big transactions going out of your account.” I was stunned, then it dawned on me.

“Would the transactions be for an auction site by any chance?”

  “Yes.”

“My card has not been stolen, it is me trying to spend my own money, now can you reactivate my card so I can please carry on spending my money.”

“Can you just confirm the transaction amounts first please?”

“Yeah sure.” I told them exactly the amounts that I had spent.

“We are very sorry Miss Williams, we will sort that out immediately for you.”

  “Thank you.”

  “Bye.”

“So who was that then?” Dylan asked.

“It was my bank, they thought my card had been stolen and someone else was spending my money.”

“Wow, they acted fast, didn’t they?”

“Yeah, I suppose they did, do they have someone watching my account?”

“No I bet they have an automated system on every ones account, if you spend over so many pounds then it will flag up on someone’s screen somewhere.”

“Yeah that sounds more like it.” I couldn’t stop laughing. It was entertaining really. I bet they had a heart attack. I never spend my money in large amounts. I never had enough to do it before.

I turned back to the laptop, now pay, thank you. At least I know my card works again, done. Now I have got everything that I needed, I was toying with the idea of getting some proper boots again, but I decided that if I got a bigger bike then that would be the time I would need them, I wasn’t planning on doing any fast roads, or neck breaking speeds on this bike, she would be my cruiser.

Before handing my laptop over to Dylan, I thought I had better show him the holiday destination. I got the holiday brochures out of my bag and showed them to him, as I had suspected, he didn’t care about the destination, just getting away was good enough for him. I just needed to come up with some dates. I handed my laptop over to Dylan.

  “Have fun.”

“Thank you Jazz.” He stood up and gave me a big sloppy kiss on my cheek.

“Don’t forget to ring your sister and ask her if she will bring your computer lead down with her next weekend.”

“I won’t, thanks again.” Well at least he would be happy for the night.

I went through into the front room to ring Caitlin.

  “Hi Cat.”

  “Hi hun, how are you?”

“I am doing well. How are you?”

  “I am great.”

  “Great hey?”

“Yeah, Mr Russell rung me this morning to see if I wanted to meet him for a coffee.”

“God he is keen, what did you say?”

“I said I would love to, so he met me on my lunch break.”

  “And?”

“And we got on great, we are off out for a meal tomorrow after work.”

“You are both a bit eager.”

  “I know.”

“So you must have hit it off then?”

“Yeah we did, there is something about him, but I don’t know how to describe it.”

  “Try, I am intrigued now.”

“He is confident, smart, assertive . . .”

“Wow Cat, I have never heard you talk like this before.”

“Jazz do you believe in love at first sight?”

“Yes, I suppose so, I can see how it is possible.” I was shocked at Cat talking about love, never would I have believed it possible. She always had her head screwed on. No rash decisions. I talked through my holiday ideas with her, she wasn’t bothered about the destination either, as long as we had fun. She was easy going. I told her the dates that I was thinking about, I was concerned with it being in term time, but she said it wouldn’t be a problem. So the holiday was all up to me, just the way I liked it. I was great at organising things. I had the patience of a saint. I told her that I had invited Rachel, but it didn’t even faze her. I told her about the flirting with Mr Heart, she was so supportive, Greg always let me window shop, as long as I didn’t touch, Cat had the same idea’s as Greg did.

When I had finished talking to Cat, Dylan came into the front room and sat down next to me.

“Jazz, can I ask you something?”

  “Yeah, go for it.”

“Do you wake up every night screaming?” I closed my eyes to try and stop the impending tide of tears, he moved over and put his arm around my shoulder, “it’s all right sis.”

“I wake up every single night with the nightmare still fresh in my mind, I now just go for a shower and cry in there, I have no way of controlling the images that get flashed before my eyes.”

“Have you thought of counselling or even going to the doctors to see if they can help you?”

“I have thought about it, but I don’t want to discuss the nightmares during the daytime, I am finding it hard enough to cope with them during the night. The last thing I need is those images being replayed during the day as well.”

“I am here if you need to talk.” He kissed me on my head and stood up, “I am going up now, see you tomorrow sis.”

“Good night Dylan.” I locked all the doors and headed up myself. I climbed into bed and closed my eyes. Then it dawned on me, how did Mr Russell get Caitlin’s phone number? He had handed her his card. This was going to get me nowhere, I was hoping for a full night’s sleep so I pushed the thought out of my mind or I would never get any sleep.

I woke up sweating. I was grabbing my chest. I needed more oxygen in my lungs. There just wasn’t enough, I ran into the bathroom and ditched my clothes on the floor. A shower after a nightmare seemed to help me in some very small way. I had the nightmare replaying over and over again. I was upside down in the car. My seatbelt was fastened, my head hurt, I reached up with my hand to hold it, but it felt wet. I looked at my hand and it was covered in blood, I still couldn’t help looking at my hands, I could almost see the blood dripping off the ends of my fingers. I fell to the floor and sobbed. Why do I have to go through this every single night? I could see flashing blue lights out of the corner of my eye, I could hear sirens in the distance, I could hear loud screaming, but I wasn’t sure from who, th
en it goes silent. I then hear voices talking quietly.

“This wasn’t my fault.” I can’t see any faces still. I turn to my left, the passenger window is cracked, but it seems foggy. I try to take in a breath again, I can smell smoke, No! Was it the car? Is it on fire? I frantically started looking around for flames, as I turn I can see Greg, his head, No! No! It can’t be right. His head is covered in blood.

“Greg darling talk to me, Greg . . .” and then it all goes dark. I got out of the shower and went back to bed. I tossed and turned with the images flashing in my mind until I drifted off back to sleep.

  Chapter 12

I woke up feeling sick to the stomach, I don’t think my body appreciated that pizza, I would have to get my diet sorted out. The nightmares were bad enough I didn’t need anything else thrown into the mix. I got ready for work but I couldn’t face breakfast, so I grabbed a bottle of water out of the fridge. On the way to work I rung the doctor’s office, I needed some guidance on these nightmares. Dylan was right, I couldn’t keep going on like this night after night. They managed to fit me in the following afternoon. That was fast I thought, you normally have to wait a week to see anyone.

After I put the phone down, I remembered I had work in the afternoons, but I needed to get these nightmares sorted out, so I decided to ring Lana.

“Hi Lana it’s Jasmine from the coffee shop.”

“Hi Jasmine, I was just about to ring you, are you physic?”

“No, I don’t think so, what did you want me for?”

“The coffee shop is closing on a Wednesday now, effective immediately, but you are still all right for Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.”

“Oh, ok thanks for letting me know.”

“So you rang me for something?”

“Oh it doesn’t matter anymore, I was going to ask for tomorrow afternoon off.”

  “Ok then Jasmine, bye.”

  “Bye.”

I fired up my laptop, I wondered if I had won the motorbike or not. I felt excited when I looked, I was now the proud owner of a Honda Rebel again. Yes, I entered all my details and paid the extra delivery charge they were asking for. I had an email from them straight away stating that they would ring me with a convenient drop off day and time.
