“Do you want to go somewhere?” he asked her, and she shook her head.

  “I have a room here.”

She pulled him toward the bank of elevators, pushed the button and dragged him inside. As the doors began to slide closed, she turned, wound her arms around his neck and tugged his head down to meet hers.

Their mouths met, and he could taste the residue of the vodka and coke she had been drinking, mixed in with a taste that was uniquely hers. So used to dealing with women content to let him lead, he found her boldness refreshing. She wanted him – not Taz I’Ane; Pureblood Prince, Heir to the Nikaran House – but him, the man.

By the time the elevator door opened onto her floor, she had his shirt completely unbuttoned to allow her hands the freedom to roam across his chest and shoulder while his mouth nipped and sucked a path down her throat.

Tumbling out of the elevator, she guided him to the left, mumbling that her room was the third door along, and they only broke apart long enough for her to open the door.

Falling through it and onto the bed in a tangle of limbs, Taz had shrugged out of his shirt and threw it to the floor before wrapping his arms around her and rolling over, so he lay on his back with her straddling his hips.

“I should tell you,” she began, her fingers tracing a pattern across his chest, “I haven’t done this before.”

“Picked up a guy in a seedy casino?” he grinned up at her and she laughed.

“Well, that too.” Her fingers dipped lower, down over his navel following the line of dark hair that disappeared below his belt. “I mean this... this whole thing.” Her head tilted to one side. “Does that put you off?”

Taz smiled, hiding the surge of delight he felt at her words. “You mean nobody has ever done this?” He lifted himself up on one elbow and dipped his tongue into the valley between her breasts. Her breath hitched at his touch and he twisted until she was lying on the coverlet, and positioned himself above her, his longer heavier body pinning her beneath him.

"Nobody at all?" Taz raised himself up slightly so he could run a hand down her body, unzipping her top as he went.

“Beautiful... unexplored..." his hand reversed its journey up her inner thigh. Hearing her already frantic heartbeat speed up all the more, he smiled. "So if no one has ever done this..." he paused to nudge away the material of her top from one breast with his face and ran his tongue over her nipple. "Then chances are..." he left the sentence hanging as he slid his fingers beneath her panties. He tipped his head back slightly to watch her face as he pushed first one, then two fingers into the warm wetness he discovered there. A heady sense of triumph swept through him as he saw rational thought splinter in her eyes and her body jerked upwards against his exploring fingers.

The feel of her silken heat gripping him made his own heartbeat accelerate and he used his free hand to push her top the final few centimetres away to bare her tanned smooth breasts. As he bent his head, a shape on the edge of his vision caught his attention and he looked up.

Morgan, almost but not completely lost to the feelings he was arousing in her, followed his gaze. She unclenched one hand from the sheets and raised it to touch his face.

“The gun isn’t loaded. And...” a blush stained her cheeks. “I want this.”

As further proof of her statement, Morgan lifted her hips and slipped out of her skirt and panties.

Taz needed no further encouragement. Rising up, he pulled off his clothes without decorum and then stretched out beside her on the bed. Taking her hand he tugged her onto her side so they were facing each other.

  "Touch me." He invited.

Hesitantly at first, she rested her palm against his chest, running her fingers over his taut muscles. With his soft murmurs of encouragement, her confidence increased as he taught her what brought him the most pleasure. In return he teased and tormented her own flesh until she was quivering uncontrollable. Only then, did he roll them both and ease into her slowly, pausing occasionally to let her become accustomed to his presence.

Morgan's breathing grew more erratic as he began to thrust against her. Bracing himself up on one arm, he kept his eyes on hers while the fingers of his free hand toyed with her breasts. When her eyes fluttered closed, he smiled and buried his face into her throat.

Admittedly, for a moment he was sorely tempted. The touch, sensation, the softness and the smell of her flesh tugged at that part of him beyond libido; beyond his male hungers; reaching down to within sniffing distance of the Beast. Her blood would be a-swirl and bubbling with the chemicals of her arousal. And it would taste so good - Sooooooo GOOD! But then, so were the pleasures of her body.

Insanity took root in his mouth and set it upon her moist, velvety throat, her shoulders, and breasts (with special attention to her dark, stiffened nipples) with near-bestial fury. His hips, too. Suddenly bereft of all restraint and control, Taz slammed into her with breathless, groaning relish.

When he collapsed above her moments later in groaning panting satisfaction, Morgan ran a hand lightly up his spine. In response, Taz nuzzled her throat then moved to lay beside her.

Rolling onto his side, he traced his fingertip across her lips. “I’m sorry for grabbing you the way I did earlier. Today hasn’t been my day for making smart moves.”

Morgan smiled, and nipped at his finger before replying. “If I’d thought that was your normal behaviour, we wouldn’t be here now.”

“I feel like I should have started with this... but what is your name?”

Morgan hesitated, and Taz knew whatever she answered with wasn’t going to be the truth.

“Call me Anna,” she said, eventually.

“I’m –“ Morgan twisted and covered his mouth with her hand.

“I don’t want to know your name,” she told him.

Taz gazed at her, then nodded and pressed a kiss to the palm of her hand. “In that case...” He curved a hand around one firm breast and bent his head to draw the nipple into his mouth.

They made love again, slower the second time around, exploring each other’s bodies and, afterwards, lay contentedly together in sated silence.

“Spend the weekend with me,” Morgan had broken the silence, twisting to look at him.

Taz stroked a hand up her spine. “I’d like that.”

  “I have rules, though.”

He laughed. “Rules? Do I need a safe word?”

She grinned. “No. They’re simple rules.” She pressed a kiss to his shoulder. “First, you don’t tell me your name. I don’t want to know it.” She raised her head and smiled at him. “And the second is we don’t sleep. Once we sleep, it’s over.”

Odd rules, he thought, but he’d heard stranger ones. He agreed without bothering to think it over. He was already fascinated by her and could think of nothing he wanted more than to spend the entire weekend in her bed.

They drank, talked, and made love, and Taz couldn’t shake the nagging thought that he had made a mistake agreeing to leave once their weekend was over.

By the time the sun had set on Sunday evening, Taz knew he wanted to see more of her.

He watched from where he sprawled on the bed as she returned from the en-suite; towel wrapped around her still-damp body and opened his arms to draw her down into his embrace.

“I want to see you again,” he told her.

  “We can’t.”

  “Why not?”

Morgan shook her head, unwilling to lie. “It’s... complicated,” she said, after a pause. “Please. I just can’t.”

“Is it a boyfriend?” he asked. “Or husband? You’re married, aren’t you?”

“No, no... none of those,” she started to pull out of his arms, feeling her nerves tightening when he refused to let her go. “You agreed to my rules,” her voice came out huskier than usual. She cleared her throat and started again. “You promised.”

Unless his senses were playing tricks on him, Taz was definitely detecting scents that told him she was conflicted.

“I did, ,but the question is... is that what you want?”

Her mouth started to form the word ‘yes’, even while her body was so obviously telling her to say otherwise. Yet her training, her mind, screamed at her to not succumb to the temptation he offered.

“Tell me you want me to leave and I’m gone,” he pressed her. He ran a finger across her lips. “Do you?”

Morgan couldn’t contain the quiver his touch set off and her eyes flew up to meet his.

“Let me give you my name and my cell number.”

“No!” She tensed and pulled out his embrace, taking the sheet with her. “I think it’s time you left.

“Anna, my name is Taz. I want you to know who I am. We’ve got something good here.”

“I said no!” She had her SIG off the table top and aimed at his heart before he realised what she was doing. “Get out.”

  Taz blinked in surprise. “What?”

“I said get out.” Her voice was steady as she flicked off the safety on the gun.

With an amused smile, Taz sat up. “There’s no way that’s loaded.”

Shifting her aim to the right, she squeezed the trigger. The bullet clipped his arm as it shot past and embedded itself into the wall. “Is that right?”

Taz’s smile had wavered only slightly, despite the stinging gouge across his upper bicep and he’d shrugged. “I would never argue with a woman holding a loaded gun.”

He was dressed in just over a minute and paused with a hand on the doorknob. “We could have had something good together, Anna. You were fantastic,” he grinned and nodded at the bed. “But your afterglow could stand a lotta work,” he said, and with that he was out of the door.
