Lawfully Screwed (Lawful Affair)
Page 4
“You’re right, I’m sorry,” she said and pouted, looking up at me from underneath her lashes.
“You should be,” I said and ran a hand down my face. I knew I’d never hear the end of this when I saw Malcolm’s wife, Courtney again. She hadn’t liked me from the moment she met me, claiming I was a bad influence on my brother’s life. That was the furthest from the truth, but I could admit that I accidentally got Malcolm into some fucked up situations due to my decisions; tonight was a prime example. “Where’d you even see him anyway?”
Kayla gave me a sheepish shrug. “He was dropping a woman off at the hair salon while I was across the street at the nail salon. I seriously thought it was you—”
“So, you just followed him all day then?”
“Um…something like that,” she murmured. I shook my head with a scoff.
“Fucking unbelievable, Kayla. You’re fucking crazy.”
She grabbed the waistband of my slacks and pulled me closer to her. “Whatever happened to us? We’re so good together and you know it.”
I took a step back from her and shook my head. “We’re not doing this right now.”
“Then when? You don’t answer when I call or text you, so when can we talk about this?”
“There’s nothing to talk about! I told you in the beginning that I wasn’t looking for a relationship. You obviously can’t handle being in a no-strings-attached relationship and I don’t need the stress of you flipping out all the damn time,” I stated.
She folded her arms across her busty chest. “Don’t be dramatic, Mason. When have I ever flipped?”
“Let’s see, there was the time you trashed my place because I wouldn’t let you stay the night, you threw my phone in the lake because a girl sent me a picture you didn’t approve of. Oh, and let’s not forget when you slashed my fucking tires and attacked the woman I’d spent an evening with and the fact that you just punched my brother in the eye tonight,” I reminded her through gritted teeth.
“I’m sorry about all of that.” Her dainty hand wrapped around my tie and pulled my face closer to hers. “I hate it when you’re mad at me. If you let me, I can make it up to you,” she purred, planting a soft kiss on my cheek. “Maybe we can go into the bathroom and I can show you how sorry I am for being a bad girl.” A shiver passed through my body as the tip of her tongue trailed up my neck, stopping to nibble on my earlobe.
“Now is not the place or time for this,” I said, almost not believing my own words. This was typical of her. Every time she fucked up, she tried to take my mind off what she’d done by distracting me with sex. I had to be stronger than that, stronger than her. Unfortunately, it was hard to do when this woman was a hard trigger. She knew the right buttons to press to make me give her what she wanted. I hated that she used my weakness against me, but I couldn’t will my body to move away from her.
Her grip on my tie tightened as she pulled me so close that our lips were centimeters apart. “You don’t think so?” she whispered, a slow grin forming on her lips. “Wouldn’t you rather take me into the bathroom and punish my tight little pussy until I come all over your cock?”
I tightened my jaw. “As tempting as that sounds—”
“Fuck me, Mason,” she whispered, planting a kiss on my lips. “I’ve been such a bad girl today and I’m soaking wet and throbbing for you. We’ll be quick.”
I glanced back out to the dining area and saw my brother talking with the guys while holding a small bag of ice on his face. A pang of guilt hit me as I watched them, but felt my body tense up when I thought of what my father would’ve said had he seen what happened. See what you’ve done? You’re always getting your brother into the middle of your nonsense. When will you grow up and start acting like a man and not a child? Where in the hell did I even go wrong with you? Then I remembered his words from earlier, how he berated me and made me feel as if the efforts I’d been making didn’t matter since I still had moments of relapses. The anger from earlier resurfaced, sick of being shamed and judged over something I’d yet gained control over. Even though I felt bad that Kayla punched my brother due to mistaken identity, it didn’t stop me from taking her by the hand and leading her into the men’s bathroom. I’ll make it up to him.
After checking under the stalls to make sure we were alone, she wasted no time getting my belt undone and removing my cock from my pants when we settled in one furthest from the door. A chill rolled down my spine as she ran her tongue up the length of it before taking me deep into her mouth. I bit my lip and entwined my fingers in her hair, guiding her head. “Mmm…that’s it,” I murmured, closing my eyes as pleasure consumed me. The woman was crazy, but there was no denying the amazing skills she possessed with her mouth. She sucked me like a pro, leaving no inch on my cock unattended. Bolts of pleasure shot down my spine each time I hit the back of her throat, bringing me closer to climaxing. I stepped away from her and pulled her to her feet, devouring her mouth as my hands traveled under her black mini skirt.
“No panties this time,” she whispered, flicking her tongue against my lips before kissing me once again. Propping her foot up on the seat of the toilet, she took my hand and placed it on her core. I ran a finger up and down her wet slit before slipping it inside, bit her lip and gaze up at me as she ground her hips into my hand.
“Already so wet for me,” I whispered. Her soft hands firmly stroked my cock as I caressed her clit, her sighs of pleasure turning into light moans.
“I’ve been such a bad girl,” she purred, drawing my bottom lip into her mouth and sucking it gently before releasing. “Punish me.”
“Oh, I plan to,” I said, retrieving a condom from my wallet and ripping the foil package, rolling it on. She turned around and bent over in front of me, placing her hands on the wall before her. We both groaned when I entered her, slowly working my way deeper into her wetness until every inch of my cock was covered with her juices.
“Fuck me hard, Mason,” she moaned, pushing back against me. I grabbed a handful of her hair and pounded into her, losing myself in the sounds of her throaty whimpers and wet core.
“You feel fucking amazing,” I whispered. She arched her back and looked back at me.
“I love it when you punish my tight little pussy,” she purred, running her tongue against her top lip.
Suddenly voices filled the bathroom, causing us to stop in our track. “I saw him head over here,” I heard Max say.
“Maybe he went outside with her,” Dallas said.
“We would’ve seen him pass if he did,” Malcolm said. “Mase? You in here?”
Kayla looked up at me, her core still pulsing around my cock. “Yeah, I’ll be out in a minute. Needed to re-group,” I lied, reaching to the front of Kayla to caress her clit. She wrapped her hand around my tie and pulled me down to her, claiming my mouth. I quickly pumped into her, holding her tight against me.
“I’m coming to come all over your cock,” she whispered, a whimper escaping from her. I quickly covered her mouth and paused.
“Unless you grew another set of feet while using the bathroom, something tells us you’re not alone in there,” Aaron said.
“Mason, please tell me you’re seriously not in there fucking that girl,” Dallas said and laughed.
“Can you just give me a minute?” I gritted, quickly becoming irritated. Kayla gave my tie another tug and brought me in for a kiss once again, suckling my bottom lip.
“Un-fucking-believable. I’m going to go watch the fight,” I heard Malcolm say before the door open and shut. There was a brief moment of silence before someone else released an audible sigh.
“Whatever you say, man,” Aaron said. “But you may want to hurry up. The first round of the fight is already over.”
I broke away from Kayla’s lips and licked my own. “Alright, I’ll be out in a minute,” I said. Once it sounded like they were out of the bathroom, I sighed and pulled out of her.
“What’s wrong?” she asked, watching as I pulled off the condo
m.
“I need to get back out there. My brother is already upset—”
“Just a couple more minutes,” she said and kissed me.
I shook my head and pulled up my pants. “Maybe later. I’ll call you when I get home, yeah?”
“Whatever,” she mumbled, pulling down her skirt. When I opened the stall door, she stormed toward the door without another word.
“Kayla,” I called, catching her by her elbow. She glared at me and snatched her arm away, wrapping them around herself. “What’s the problem?”
“Nothing. I’ll just go home and finish myself off,” she said, reaching for the door. I pressed her back against it and claimed her mouth, slipping my tongue inside of it. Her body relaxed as she kissed me back, her hands roaming up my body and resting on the sides of my face. I looked down at her when I finally pulled away, caressing her cheek with my thumb.
“When I see you tonight, I’m going to taste every drop of you and fuck you within an inch of your life. I’ll make you come until you can’t take it anymore,” I murmured against her lips. She released a shaky breath and nodded.
“Well, I’ll finish myself off at the thought of you doing all of those things tonight,” she whispered. Too bad they will only remain thoughts. I had no intentions of seeing her tonight or any other night. Had she not run into Malcolm, I would’ve continued ignoring her like I’d done the last few weeks or so, aside from the occasional sexting and watching the random sexy videos she’d send me.
“You do that then, but save some of that energy for me,” I said, stepping aside to allow her to open the door. I gave her a quick kiss goodbye and watched her move through the restaurant toward the exit. Good fucking riddance.

Conversation at the table ceased when I finally rejoined them, everyone turning their attention to the food in front of them.
“What’d I miss?” I finally asked, reaching for a pretzel. My brother Malcolm scowled at me.
“You’d know what you missed if you weren’t in the bathroom fucking a psycho,” he snapped, still holding the bag of ice to his eye.
“I’m really sorry about that, Malcolm. I’ll—”
“You always get me involved in your shit and yet I’m the one who has to explain it to my wife and deal with her anger. You need to get your shit together, Mason.”
“All right, all right,” Dallas cut in, holding his hands up. “The fight is on the TV; let’s not bring it out here. Tonight’s supposed to be a good night, right?”
“How’s it going to be a good night? I can only see the fight out of one eye right now!” Malcolm damn near shouted, removing the ice. His eye had started to swell a little, a slight bruise forming on the side of it.
“Look, if it makes you feel better, I can stop by your place and tell Courtney what happened,” I offered, but Malcolm shook his head.
“You’re going to be the last person she wants to see. Just forget it,” he grumbled. I sighed and put the pretzel on a napkin, no longer hungry. Everyone else talked amongst themselves as they watched the fight. I didn’t even want to be here any longer. As much as I wanted to blame Kayla for what happened tonight, I couldn’t. I should’ve sent her on her way instead of fucking her after what she did to Malcolm. I should’ve been stronger. Glancing across the table to my brother, he joked with our friends, but his smile faltered slightly when his eyes landed on me for a brief moment before turning his attention back to the conversation he was in. I clenched my jaw, suddenly feeling like the odd guy out.
I caught our waitress’s attention as she passed our table. “Can I get you anything?” she asked, flashing her gorgeous smile.
“Yeah, um, can I get the check for the soda and pretzels?” I asked.
“Sure thing, handsome,” she said and walked away.
“The check?” Max asked. “You’re not leaving, are you?”
“Yeah,” I said, keeping my eyes away from Malcolm. “I have some work I need to get done anyway.”
“But the fight isn’t over yet!” Aaron argued, gesturing toward the television.
“It’s okay. There will be more fights in the future,” I said. Everyone watched me as the waitress came back to the table with my check. I gave her a twenty and stood. “Keep the change.”
“Thanks. Come see us again,” she said and turned her attention to the guys. “Can I get you guys anything else?”
I walked away without saying another word to any of them. When I finally slid into the driver’s seat of my car, I expelled a breath and rested my head against the headrest, closing my eyes. Malcolm’s words replayed in my head, guilt crashing over me. I knew I wouldn’t get over my addiction overnight, but it was hard seeing how it affected other people. I looked up into the restaurant window and saw my brother and friends still watching the fight and joking around with each other. I couldn’t get them to understand that I was still weak and it would take some time until I was strong enough to resist. I couldn’t trust them enough to talk to them without them judging me or having someone tell me to “just not have sex” as if it were that easy.
Today fucking sucked. I thought it would be a good day when we’d won the first part of our case. Everything I did was in hopes of making my dad proud, to feel as if I was finally good enough in his eyes. Instead of hearing how proud he was, I had to listen to how disappointed he was in me and how I needed to get myself together. Mason, always the bad twin. My jaw tightened at the thought of everything he’d said to me over the years. I didn’t raise you to act that way. You should be more like Malcolm. You’re a terrible influence on your brother. I’ll get your brother to do it; I don’t trust you to do it the way I want you to. No thanks, son. This is something I’ve set up for Malcolm and me.
I looked up at the window again, slightly envious of my brother. Although we were twins, we were so different. He was always the favorite. He got the better grades, was always respectful, and stayed out of trouble. He was married to a beautiful woman and had a great career as a computer programmer. Anytime my family talked about me, all they saw was my addiction and how I was embarrassing the family when some of the stories got back to them. I was always doing something wrong, whether it was presenting myself the way my father wanted me to or simply not reaching whatever impossible standards he’d set for me. Sometimes I wished Malcolm went into law instead of you. Guess I have to work with the cards I’ve been dealt.
With a sigh, I pulled out my phone to do the one thing I knew I’d always be good at despite what my father said. I dialed a number, listening to it ring a few times.
“Thank you for calling Luxury Desires. What can I do for you this evening?” a sultry voice said on the other end.
I ran a hand over my face, no longer caring about the consequences at the moment. After the day I’ve had, I needed a release, somewhere to escape for a little while to forget about my failures and those I’d managed to disappoint over the past 14 hours. I’d go to a meeting tomorrow, find a sponsor, and work on getting better. But tonight? I was going to get all of this out of my system to give myself as clean of a slate as I could in this situation.
“Yeah…I’d like a premium escort for the night.”
“Anyone in particular, honey?”
“Just the best one you have,” I answered. I gave her my information as well as the information to the usual hotel I went to whenever I requested an escort. I’d learned my lesson about taking women I didn’t plan on dating to my house. After Kayla, I hadn’t dare to bring another woman to my house after I moved.
“She’ll be there within the hour. Please call back as soon as you have a room number so that she’ll know where to go.”
“Will do. Thanks,” I said and hung up with a sigh.
Yeah, tomorrow I’d work on getting myself together.
Hopefully, I’d be able to stay on track this time.
Chapter 4
I let out a small sigh the moment I entered my room at the Windsor hotel. I came here often when I needed a lady fo
r the night, so much so that they gave me the same suite every time I came as long as it was available. It was set up like a mini apartment with a small, comfortable living area in view as soon as you stepped inside. The kitchenette was down a small hallway that opened up to a dining area right in front of the large floor-to-ceiling windows that overlooked the city of Greenville, South Carolina.
I walked through the suite and headed to the bedroom, tossing my briefcase on the king size bed as I loosened my tie. The moment I entered the suite, everything that had plagued me during the day seemed to disappear. None of my failures mattered here, and my shame or guilt was temporarily forgotten. I didn’t have to worry about my job being in jeopardy if I didn’t go to my meetings consistently or deal with the guilt that would come back later over what happened to Malcolm because of me. It probably didn’t help that I was here for a reason that wasn’t helping my road to recovery, but it was an escape that I desperately needed tonight.
After taking a quick shower, I donned one of the hotel’s bathrobes just as a solid knock came from the door. I took a quick glance at the clock on the nightstand to see that it was 10:15 p.m. on the dot. I strolled over to the door, looking through the peephole to see a woman standing in front of the door, but looking around up and down the hall. My heart fluttered a bit in my chest for a second. Her profile looked eerily familiar. Nah, it can’t be her, I thought to myself, unlocking the door and opening it.
I always thought it was complete bullshit when people said things about time stopping when they saw certain people, but I was now a believer as I stared at the woman in front of me. It felt as if time stood still as I tried to process that she was actually standing in front of me and I wasn’t imagining it. “Aaliyah?” I said, looking at her in shock. She gazed at me for a few moments before her eyes widened in a mixture of recognition, surprise, and horror.
