Adam and Eva

“We’ll go back. The house belongs to me,” Adam informed her with a grin.
“And I suppose you have Diane’s permission to marry me?” Eva teased.
Maxwell laughed shortly. “As a matter of fact, I do. But if I didn’t, it wouldn’t make any difference. I don’t intend to let you go!” He pushed her away gently. “Eva…will you mind that she’s not…”
Eva shook her head vigorously, dealing quickly with flashing images of Gail. “It’s enough that Diane’s yours. She’ll be ours, and I’ll love her, too.” She looked shyly at him now. “And—and maybe later…”
“Yes…later,” Maxwell crooned. He lowered his head and captured her mouth. He rocked his mouth hungrily back and forth over Eva’s, drawing love and warmth from her and into himself. He went over on his side of the mattress, bringing her with him. Eva returned his embrace, sure now of so many things.
Maxwell worked a hand between them to caress and knead her breast, bringing the soft round button to a stiff peak. Eva pressed even closer to him. He placed her on her back and began to kiss her throat and neck. His mouth moved to her breasts, kissing over them, under them to her rib cage. His tongue played in the hollow of her navel.
“Max—Max!” she moaned and squirmed. “We—we have to go back to the house! My mother…dinner…” Her voice stopped as his hands slid featherlike along her thighs. He lifted his head.
“We? Is she expecting me back?”
Eva was voiceless. All of her feelings and attention had dropped below her waist. She forced herself to roll away from Maxwell. He caught and held her by the waist. Eva’s head went back on the pillow as Maxwell’s weight pinned her legs.
“You’ll stay with us for the week…”
“But I have to go to Washington for a day and start work on arrangements. And I’m hoping to see Diane…”
“That’s okay. But my mother would never forgive me if I let you stay at a hotel. She thinks I’m crazy as it is for leaving you in St. John.”
“Smart woman,” he murmured, finally letting her get up. Eva went to retrieve her undergarments, while Adam propped his head in his hand. He watched with appreciation as she wiggled into a pair of blue panties. She sat on the edge of the bed to pull on panty hose. Adam ran a finger down the center line of her brown back.
“Do I get to share your room?” he asked thickly, teasing her.
Eva laughed softly. “I don’t think that’s what Mom has in mind. There’s another bedroom. It used to belong to my two brothers.”
Maxwell slid a hand around her to a softly jutting breast. “How far is this room from yours?”
Eva pushed his roaming hand away. “It’s right next to it. But for a week you can sleep alone!”
“Don’t bet on it!” Adam growled, hooking her waist and pulling her unceremoniously back on the bed. He pulled off her partially donned hose, and her panties quickly followed.
“Maxwell!” Eva protested, starting a half-hearted struggle with him. Maxwell started to tickle her. Eva began to twist and laugh helplessly. When all resistance was out of her, Maxwell closed his arms around her and began to administer a number of searing kisses, his tongue probing deep inside her mouth. When she began to tremble again, it was for another reason.
He freed a hand to caress her thigh and all along the inside to her flowering center. He moved to lie over her and press his hips and hard middle suggestively against her. Eva’s breathing became shallow and labored. Maxwell lifted his head.
“On second thought, maybe we should go have dinner with your mother.”
“Max…” Eva pleaded, putting her arms around his neck and pulling him back to her quivering, ready body.
