Twisted War Page 25

“I could hear your loud ass.”

“Oh, I’m so sorry.” She slapped a hand over her mouth and I rolled my eyes at it.

“It’s done. Don’t let me hear it anymore, please. Especially when I didn’t even get any dick from Alexander.” I grumbled and stood back on my feet. “Help me clean up for the party.” I handed her a cloth and she started dusting. All was right again.

I woke Chloe up on her first birthday with pink balloons and a cupcake with a giant number 1 candle on top. Her green eyes soaked it all in and then she gave me a big smile. Xavier clicked the camera on his phone as he took dozens of pictures of her expression.

“Happy birthday Chloe!” We both cheered. Xavier plucked her from the crib and sat her on the floor in front of her cupcake. He recorded her digging into it getting sweet, colorful frosting all on her chubby hands and face. I clapped my hands and danced from one foot to the other encouraging her to eat more of the cupcake instead of just squishing it between her fingers.

“Hey, it’s the birthday girl!” Dad walked in and Laurel followed behind him. I tried not to think about what they’d done before coming into Chloe’s room. We all sang the birthday song for her then Xavier took her into the kitchen where I made her heart shaped pancakes. She ate those without a single problem.

The house was decorated with pink and white and small tiaras lined the dining room table for party favors. Laurel and I were in the kitchen putting the finishing touches on the food platters when the doorbell rang. “Xavier, can you get that please?” I called over my shoulder. Chloe’s party was in a few hours and I only expected one person before then.

“If it isn’t Doctor Feel Good,” I heard Xavier say snidely. I knew it was Alexander. I wiped my hands on a clean kitchen towel and raced to the front door.

“Hey,” I smiled at Alexander. In a true show of male dominance, Alexander pulled me in for a hug.

“Hey, where’s my birthday girl?” He smiled big and looked around for Chloe. As soon as she heard his voice she scrambled out of dad’s arms and ran so fast she almost fell. Alexander scooped her up and peppered her with kisses on her cheeks.

“Alex! Alex! Hi!” She giggled and grabbed his face. Xavier was fuming as he stalked away and went into the kitchen. “Mommy, Alex!” She said like I didn’t see him there. I nodded my head and smiled.

“I see. I bet Alexander has a present for you.” I whispered in her ear.

“Pwease?” She begged. Alexander carried her into the living room and sat beside dad on the couch.

“What’s up Alexander?” They greeted each other warmly and I heard Xavier slam a door in the kitchen. I steered myself in his direction and stood watching him for a moment. He was pissed.

“What’s wrong with you?” I whispered.

“You got this motherfucker in my house like he runs shit. Hugging my daughter and you got her calling for him?”

“Well what the hell do you want her to do? Call him sir?”

“Why is he here! Shouldn’t he be talking a crazy person off a ledge or some shit?”

“I’m here because I was invited, Xavier. Do you have a problem with that?” I spun around and Alexander was standing right behind me, hands in his pockets looking unconcerned.

“I actually do have a fucking problem with it. You’re her doctor, you don’t have shit to do with my daughter.”

“You haven’t told him yet, I’m guessing.” Alexander huffed and folded his arms. I opened my mouth to speak but he had it handled. “We’re together now. Camilla invited me here. I’m here. I expect we can handle this like men.” Alexander held Xavier’s gaze and they had a mini stare off until Laurel broke the ice by asking Xavier to help her with something.

My heart was knocking around in my chest after their exchange. I was nervous about Xavier’s reaction after he found out about Alexander and I. Would he be hurt? Would he be angry? Would he be petty about Alexander being around Chloe?

“Hey, are you okay?” Alexander tugged my hand leading me down the hall and into my bedroom.

“I’m okay. I’m just wondering what Xavier is feeling.”

  “He’s pissed.”

“Clearly. It’s driving me crazy I guess.”

“Camilla, he loves you. You put him out, he had sex with you and you have a boyfriend now. He’s going through a myriad of things.” He explained while he touched my hair.

“He just needs time to cool off, you think?”

“Probably.” His eyes passed over my lips, making my cheeks flush. Without another word, he curled his fingers around the back of my neck and pulled me into his lips. His kisses drove me crazy and I couldn’t wait for shit to settle down so I could get his kisses all the time. I tried not to be too urgent but I wanted all of him.

Since I was slow and steady, Alexander rewarded me with more kisses along my neck. My mouth went dry as his lips worked against my skin. I couldn’t stop my hands from groping his growing dick. I wondered if he would pull away, but what man would pull away from a hand on his dick? Definitely not Alexander. It made him push forward until I was against the wall.

“You know we have a party to get ready for right?” I asked him with a smile.

“You’re right but we have to do something about this.” He gestured to his erection. I bit my lip and shrugged my shoulders.

“What do you want me to do?” My voice was barely above a whisper.

“I have some ideas.” He chuckled in a low throaty voice that made me nearly cum all over myself. A knock on the bedroom door made us jump apart. I sucked in a breath and pulled the door open.

“Cami!” Christina jumped into my arms and I squeezed her tight.

  “Hey!”

“Oh my god, Chloe is so freaking big now!” She rambled. Finally her eyes shifted to Alexander who was sitting on the edge of the bed no doubt trying to tame his hard dick. “Oh god, did I just interrupt something?” Her words trailed off as she stared at Alexander and tilted her head to the side.

He looked slightly uncomfortable and tried to avoid her gaze. “Uncle Alex?” She walked over to him with her hands on her hips. “Oh my god!” She smiled first then a frown took over as she realized what was going on. “Camilla, no the fuck you didn’t!” I winced at her tone and tried to explain everything but it was just too much.

“First Daddy and now my Uncle?”

“Chris, calm down.” Alexander stood and shut the door before our voices carried out into the living room where Chloe was. For the first time I wished I could snatch everything back. I knew how it looked to Chris and I wished I could explain how it all came to be but there wasn’t any time for that.

“Christina I know this looks fucked up,” I started. “I didn’t know Alexander was Emmanuel’s brother at first. He kept it from me the entire time I was going to him.” I could see Christina’s wheels spinning and connecting things and she deflated.

“You never met him when we were kids, did you?” She asked, remembering.

“No,” Alexander and I said in unison. I was honestly shocked that Chris had met him and I hadn’t. What the fuck was that shit about?

“When the hell did you meet him?” I blurted.

“Daddy went to Tallahassee when I was around eight. He went to help Uncle Alex with something and I was with him. He introduced me to him and that was the first and last time I saw him. I never forgot his face though because him and Daddy have the same eyes.”

“Why didn’t you ever tell me?” I asked, still in awe that my little sister knew about Alexander but I didn’t.

“Why would I? It’s not like you hung out with me. Especially when we were younger,” she pouted. “But what the hell is going on here?” She asked, jerking back into the present moment. Alexander stood up and sighed heavily.

  “Camilla and I are…”

  “In a relationship,” I said.

“And you’re finishing each other’s sentences. How cute?” She shut her eyes for a moment and when she reopened them she glared at
me. “You know my father is going to go ballistic right?”

“He’s fine,” Alexander assured her. “I know this is difficult to digest and it’s not conventional by any means but this is what it is.”

“So you’re just gonna fuck Daddy and his brother and Xavier?”

“No, Jesus. It’s just me and Alexander.”

“I’m not cool with this,” she told me with a pointed tone.

“Christina, I’m not asking for permission.”

“And I didn’t ask you to fuck every man in my family.”

“Woah, okay let’s calm down.” Alexander stood in between us and offered us each a smile. I could understand Chris being mad, shocked, and whatever else but acting like I needed her permission was pissing me off. Especially since she was acting high and mighty.

“Hey, did you see my father out there?” I smiled at her knowingly and she let out a frustrated grunt. “Yeah, let’s climb down off that high horse, little sister.” It took everything in me not to throw Laurel and my dad in her face just to see her run out of my room like a wounded puppy. I was trying my best to change even though shit like this made it hard. Christina turned around and yanked the door open angrily.

“Fuck you Cami.” She called back in a sing-song voice. Alexander eyed me and shook his head.

“Do you have to get the last blow in all the time?”

“Yes, I do. She knows I love her. She just has to chill out sometimes. She’s just like her damn mother always thinking she’s immaculate when her shit stinks too.”

“Okay, let’s just go out here and finish setting up for the party.” I took his advice and started setting out food and making room for the other kids from the daycare center that would be coming.

An hour before the party I bolted to the bathroom to shower and get dressed in something presentable for the guests. I looked run down and I couldn’t have that.

Standing in front of the mirror, I flat ironed my hair so that it was bone straight. My thoughts flickered to my mother of all people. I exhaled softly and looked into my own eyes. “Today is your granddaughter’s birthday.” I spoke into the air. I don’t know why though, Chloe looked so much like me when I was a baby that I was almost sure my mother would have despised her just as much as she did me. “You know I thought about naming her after you? But let’s be real…that shit wasn’t going to happen.” I chuckled. “I might not really miss a thing about you Dana, but you were still my mother. My family.” I sucked in a short breath. “I’ll make everything right.”

Alexander knocked before walking in just as I was shutting the flat iron off. “Damn,” he grunted as he looked over my body. “I don’t do quickies but…” He looked over his shoulder and shut the door quietly then clicked the lock. We rushed into each other and he lifted me up so that I was sitting on the dresser. His hands slid up my yellow dress until he reached my thongs He raised an eyebrow at my choice and smiled approvingly.

In an instant our mouths were back on each other and he was undoing his pants. I reached out for his throbbing hard dick and it sent shivers across my skin. It was so smooth and strong I wanted to put it in my mouth but we didn’t have time. On cue, Alexander spun me around and bent me over the dresser so I could see him as he fucked me hard. It was the sexiest thing I’d ever experienced. Watching his face as he enjoyed every stroke. Watching my face contorted by lust as he filled up every part of me.

When we both came, we realized our mistake. Neither of us thought to use a condom nor did he pull out in time. He came deep inside of me and I loved every fucking second judging by his expression and the noises he made; so did he.

“Shit.” He cursed as he pulled his pants up. “You’re trouble

“I’m trouble? I didn’t come in here and bend myself over, did I?” I laughed as we walked into the bathroom. “I can take a Plan B.” A small part of me ached at the thought but I knew that wasn’t what he wanted and it would cause a shit storm with Xavier if I got pregnant by Alexander.

“Plan B?” He frowned and handed me a wet washcloth. “Why the hell would I want you to do that, Camilla? I mean, I didn’t intend for you to get pregnant but if you did I wouldn’t be mad. It’s not like you made decision to have sex on your own.”

“I know you don’t want to have a baby right now.”

“How do you know that?” He asked, a smile playing on his full lips. “Just because something is unplanned doesn’t mean you get rid of it. We’ll just wait and see what happens.” He kissed my forehead and left it alone after that.

What the hell did I do to deserve someone so damn understanding? Alexander was as close to perfect as I was going to get.

  Chapter Thirty

  Emmanuel

After Chloe’s birthday party, all the guests went home except for Xavier, Trev, Wolf, Cami, and myself. Christina went back to my house and Camilla sent Laurel and Alexander out for drinks for the adult half of the party. Dempsey and his grandson, Cole had agreed to stop by later on once the liquor had arrived. Chloe was fast asleep from the festivities.

Xavier, Trev and I were seated in the garage when Camilla walked in with the baby monitor in her hand and smiled at us all she eyed me for a few seconds longer. For some reason, a reason I couldn’t put my finger on, Camilla had my hackles raised. By the looks of it, Xavier felt it too because we both were studying her and it wasn’t because we wanted to fuck her. Trevor seemed oblivious to her subtle hints; the way she smiled over every little thing, how sugary sweet she was being, or how she magically had manners and was soft-spoken. I glanced at Xavier and he was already looking my way.

“What the fuck?” He mouthed to me as Cami spoke to Trev about something trivial. I shrugged and continued to watch. Honestly I was too shaken to talk to Trevor about anything. The only thing that ever shakes me is Camilla. In the middle of her conversation with Trevor she looked at me, her eyes were calm as a slow smile inched across her perfect lips.

“Okay, let’s get this shit over with.” Wolf walked in and pushed a button to shut the garage door. He sat down next to me and let his gun sit in his lap. Camilla frowned and folded her arms defensively.

“Didn’t I tell you not to bring that shit?” She spat. He rolled his eyes and muttered under his breath. “Put it on the table,” She ordered. Begrudgingly, Wolf sat his pistol on the glass table in the middle of us.

“Now what the hell is this meeting about?” Trevor asked impatiently. It was my turn to talk but I’d forgotten what the fuck I was going to say. Cami had me twisted. It felt like I was moving in slow motion. She noticed my mental fog and walked over to me. She settled in my lap and instead of feeling elated, I felt heavy. She was off. The way she acted yesterday told me that sitting in my lap wasn’t something she planned to make a habit now she was doing it voluntarily?

“I uh, Trev I wanna know where your head is at man. You still taking shit personally?” My voice sounded normal, but I didn’t feel quite normal. I hated not knowing what the fuck was going on. It seemed the only other person that realized shit was wrong was Xavier. He kept shifting around in his chair uncomfortably and glancing at Camilla.

“I’m fine, Manny. I’m not fucking with you anymore. I told you that already. I just want to spend time with my daughter and granddaughter.”

“Good for you,” Wolf grinned maliciously. Trevor’s gaze fixed on him and he let out a small chuckle.

“Okay, cool.” I cleared my throat. “I’m setting up a press conference next week so we can get the public settled on everything but in our own time.”

“Fine. I’ll be there, just tell me what time.” Trevor seemed tired and drained. Camilla stood up and smiled.

  “Good, now is everyone happy?”

“Sure,” Xavier said sounding uncertain of everything. Camilla gave a curt nod and walked over to Wolf. She leaned over and kissed his forehead. She let her lips rest on his skin and then she began talking.

“I love you Uncle Rashad.” She whispered and nobody e
lse could hear it but me because I was right beside them.

“I love you too baby girl.” He said closing his eyes and sinking into her voice.

“I forgive you,” she sniffled. He nodded and shut his eyes tighter as if he’d been starving for those words.

He didn’t notice Trevor stand up and take his gun from the table, nor did he hear the click of the safety coming off because his niece was lulling him into a state of calm. She stroked his head and sucked in a deep breath before taking her place back in my lap.

“You better not turn away,” was all she whispered to me before Trevor fired two shots into Wolf’s forehead each making a metal on metal pop sound. The noise was minimal thanks to the suppressor. Blood flew everywhere and his body tipped backwards due to the impact. He was dead instantly. Camilla held my face in her hands making sure I watched what just happened. I couldn’t erase it with a vat of fucking bleach. Trevor looked at me and put the gun in his waistband.

“Emmanuel, I love you more than almost anything but if you ever take my father away from me again, don’t think I’ll hesitate.” She stood up and wiped the blood splatter from her forearm and looked over at Xavier. “I told you I’d make sure you were here for everything.” She said, her voice void of emotion.

I didn’t realize it but I had blood all over my left side. I felt like I was underwater, everything moved slowly. Xavier stood up knocking his chair onto the floor with a clatter, “Holy fucking shit!” He finally shouted. I couldn’t pry my focus from the dead body lying on the floor of the garage. Blood soaked into each crack of the cement flooding them like water to a parched riverbed.

Camilla was absolutely fucking crazy but goddammit she was out-and-out the love of my life. “Camilla what the fuck?!” Xavier sandwiched his head between his palms.

“Xavier please, calm the fuck down,” Trevor groaned. Since he still had the gun and was obviously a very good shot, Xavier piped down quickly. I stood up slowly and wiped the warm blood from my face and hand.
