Gently, as though in slow motion, he eased her backwards onto the firm surface of the bed, his body blanketing hers.

She closed her eyes as though to increase the intensity of his kisses, her arms moving around his body as he dropped his mouth to her tight nipples. Gently, tenderly, he sucked each nipple in turn into his wet mouth, lapping as though for subsistence. She moaned low in her throat as his teeth nipped and bit at her flesh. A man like this should be illegal, she decided, her fingers snaking through his thick hair, holding him to the task at hand. He had a promise to keep.

Reaching over, he opened a drawer in the bedside table and retrieved a condom.

“Shall I do that?” Gina offered nervously, it wasn’t something she’d done before but she wanted to try. He nodded, and handed it to her before leaning back. She gazed at him for a moment, took a deep breath and slowly unrolled the condom along the length of his rigid shaft. Surely if it got any harder, it would burst, she thought to herself. “All done.”

He moved over her, his legs urging hers further apart.

“Don’t you dare stop,” she whispered, leaning up to pull him down with an eager kiss. She sighed as he pushed his hot heat inside, filling every bit of her. She didn’t think she would ever recover from his possession until he started to move with a gentle rhythm as though not to frighten her. “I won’t break,” she laughed softly.

“Ssssh, woman. Don’t you know you should never complain about a man’s technique?” he growled, but took the hint and increased both his speed and strength of possession. Gina laughed at his false ferocity, but soon enough her humor changed into a deep emotion building through her very soul. This man knew how to pleasure a woman.

They cried out at the same time, shuddering and shivering, a deep kiss connecting their lips.

  Chapter Nine

“I should walk you home at the very least.” Noel stood behind Gina as she slipped her feet into the boots by the front door, her red shoes held in one hand.

“Don’t be silly, it’s just across the road.”

“It still doesn’t feel right,” he complained, taking a step toward her. “Do you regret it?” he asked, sounding like the small boy he’d once been.

“Not a moment, but I can be home in two minutes and you can watch me from here.” She touched the side of his face with her free hand. “Thank you for a wonderful time. You really are a marvelous lover.”

“I aim to please, beautiful lady.” He caught her hand and lowered it to his mouth, placing a gentle kiss on her palm. He watched her slip out the door into the silent snowy night. She stepped through the swirly shower of snow, stopping only once outside her daughter’s house to wave at him. He lifted a hand in reply and waited until she was safely inside before he closed his own front door.

  “Hot chocolate?”

Gina spun in surprise, her eyes finding the originator of the voice. Lucas sat in the kitchen, his dark blue dressing gown worn over stripy pajamas.

“I thought you might want a drink when you finally found your way back, plus Sadie’s a bit restless and said she couldn’t settle until you came home. She dozed off about thirty minutes ago when I said I’d make sure you were home soon.”

“I’m sorry….” Gina began, because all thoughts of Sadie had faded from her mind the moment she’d stepped into Noel’s house. How could she have been so thoughtless?

“Don’t you dare be sorry,” Lucas shook his head. “Sadie asks too much of you, and doesn’t even realize she’s doing it. You deserve a little happiness.”

“Lucas?” Sadie’s voice travelled down the stairs. “Is Mom home yet?”

“She’s been home for ages,” Lucas called back, his hands reaching for Gina’s coat and throwing it over a chair. “We’ve been chatting over my delicious hot chocolate.” He reached for one of the two half-empty mugs sitting on the breakfast bar and pushed it in front of Gina. She raised her eyebrows at him and mouthed a silent thank you.

“Mom, I was worried.” Sadie stepped into the kitchen, blinking a little at the bright light. Her usually perfectly smoothed hair was tousled around her face as a huge yawn stole her next words.

“There was no need,” Gina smiled. “As you can see, Lucas has held me hostage with his wonderful hot chocolate, but now I’m ready for bed.” She leant forward to place a kiss on her daughter’s messy hair. “Goodnight, my darlings.”

“Sleep well, Gina,” Lucas called as he approached his sleepy wife. “Come on you, it’s bedtime for you too.”

  ****

  “Nanna, Nanna.”

Gina woke to the sensation of two little boys jumping onto her bed. She kept her eyes shut, pretending to be asleep but they weren’t fooled and began to cover her face with wet kisses.

“Help!” she cried out, her arms hooking each boy and dragging them both into a huge hug. “I’m being attacked by two wet worms.”

“Oiii, you two. Didn’t I tell you to let your Nanna sleep a little longer?” Lucas put his head through the door to witness his noisy offspring being tickled expertly by Gina. Their loud giggles could be heard downstairs in the kitchen. “Sorry, Gina.”

“No need to apologize,” Gina grinned, her fingers finding tickle spots in her very ticklish grandsons. “They really are the best alarm clock. Is Sadie up yet?”

“Yes, and she’s a little grumpy. I think Santa might have a special present for us very soon,” Lucas grinned. “Come on, you two horrors. Give your Nanna a little time to get up.” He herded the two little boys out of the room with the promise of a snow fight in the back yard. Gina laughed at the noise the three of them made as they ran downstairs.

“How are you feeling this morning, honey?” Gina sat down next to her daughter who nursed a warm milky drink in her hands. The table was covered with wrapping paper, pretty bows and sticky tape but Sadie’s eyes stared out of the window at her three boys pelting snow balls at each other, and enjoying every moment of it. “Sadie, are you okay?” Gina placed her hand over her daughter’s and waited patiently for a reply.

“I’m achy,” Sadie admitted, one hand falling, to gently rub her bump. “I don’t think this baby is going to wait until the New Year.”

“How exciting,” Gina sighed. “A Christmas baby, what a wonderful gift she will be.”

“Mom, I’m scared,” Sadie turned her blue eyes to her mother’s face, a frown building across her brow. “What if I can’t do it?”

“Darling, you’ve already had two babies. You know what’s going to happen, you don’t need to be afraid.”

“I’m not worried about the actual birth but this little one is a girl. What if I don’t know what to do? How did you do it?” Sadie clutched at her mother’s hand in a move Gina couldn’t remember in too many years. Sadie has always been so confident and sure of what she wanted out of life. She hadn’t been interested in college until she met Lucas there and although she finished her degree, she had decided she wanted to be a mommy and a wife. Luckily, Lucas totally agreed and their two little boys had proved them right.

“Darling, I know people say that raising daughters is harder than sons but I enjoyed every moment I had with you. I know you will love this little girl as much you do the boys. I’m sure she will be the most spoiled little madam in the world.”

“You make it sound so easy,” Sadie sighed.

“You made it easy although you were the most obstinate child on the planet. Once I realized I couldn’t force you into anything, I learnt other ways to get you to do the things I wanted.”

“You will be here to help?” It sounded like a plea, and Gina nodded, her mouth breaking into a proud smile.

“I wouldn’t be anywhere else,” she told Sadie. “I promise you that once you set eyes on your precious daughter you will be the best mommy she coul
d ever have. Now, I think we should rescue Lucas before the boys bury him.”

“Mom,” Sadie snatched Gina’s hand before she could leave the table. “I think you should get yourself a boyfriend.”

“I’m a bit old for a boyfriend,” Gina chuckled, repeating the words she’d said to Lucas last night. Had these two been talking about her?

“A man friend then, I’m serious. Why should you be alone? You’re beautiful and I know there’s the perfect man out there for you.”

“We’ll see,” Gina conceded, “Let’s get this baby born before we worry about my love life.”

“You could get a toy boy,” Sadie laughed, not noticing the blush covering her mom’s cheek as she crossed to the window. “I can’t see Lucas. I think the boys might have buried him.”

  Chapter Ten

“Happy Birthday,” Gina whispered as she opened the door to Noel’s grinning face. “Have you had a nice day?”

“I slept in late. I was exhausted, I can’t imagine why,” he teased, dropping a tender kiss on her cheek. “Mmmmm, you smell so good I could eat you all up… again.”

“Behave,” she sighed, feeling a hand brush over her breast. Her nipple stiffened at his touch as though ready for his attention.

“Happy Birthday!” Lucas offered his hand to Noel as he moved past Gina. “I got a bottle of your favorite cognac, the good stuff. Not the trash you buy me.”

Gina followed Noel through to the lounge where Sadie waited on the couch, her face caught in a frown although her mouth broke out in a smile in greeting.

“I didn’t know what to get you so I bought you both the same,” Noel reached into the bag he carried and offered both women a prettily wrapped package. “There are presents for the boys and I got some vouchers for the baby. I don’t know what to get for little girls.”

“Sadie, are you alright?” Gina recognized the signs as they crossed her daughter’s face. This baby wasn’t going to wait for Christmas Day, let alone New Year when she was due. “Go fetch Lucas.” She touched Noel on the arm and waited until he rushed into the kitchen where Lucas had gone to check on the food before she turned her attention to Sadie.

“Why didn’t you tell me?” She sat next to her, her eyes observing the pain in her daughter’s face. “How far apart are the contractions?”

“They’re getting closer,” Sadie admitted. “It’s Noel’s birthday and I wanted this meal to be special because his parents are...” Her voice trailed off.

“Yes, I know where they are, but this baby comes first.”

“Come on, my darling,” Lucas rushed into the room, concern written on his handsome face. “It’s time to welcome our daughter into the family. Noel’s driving us to the hospital and your bag’s waiting in the car.”

  ****

“How is she?” Gina asked as she opened the front door to Noel for the second time that evening. Noel shook the snow off his boots before he entered the house.

“They took straight her into the delivery room,” Noel smiled, “but I didn’t stick around. Luc promised to phone as soon as there was any news.”

Gina sighed, wishing she could be at Sadie’s side, but she’d assured her she would babysit the boys who were fast asleep in their beds, dreaming of reindeer and presents.

“Lucas made me promise I’d eat his pot roast after all the trouble he took over it. He wanted me to take care of you which I am very keen to do,” Noel added, with a wicked grin plastered over his face. “He said they wouldn’t be back before morning.”

“We had better eat then,” Gina took his hand and led him to the kitchen where a candlelit table set for two awaited them.

  ****

“That was delicious,” Noel declared as he wiped his lips with the white napkin. “If Luc wasn’t already married, I might make a play for him.”

“I think Sadie and the boys might have something to say about that,” Gina said, her head turning as the phone rang. She rushed to answer it.

“Luc… How are… Oh my Goodness. How wonderful… the boys? Fast asleep, Noel checked on them on a few minutes ago. Yes, he’s still here and he wants to marry you because you’re the best cook he knows.” Gina stared at the smiling Noel as he moved next to her, one arm moving around her shoulder. “Yes, you can speak to him.”

“Congrats Daddy,” Noel said before listening to Luc on the other end. “I’m not going anywhere, don’t worry about anyone here. You go be with Sadie and your beautiful new daughter.”

Gina wiped a grateful tear from her eye with a finger, feeling Noel’s arms tighten around her.

“Well, you’re a Nanna again. I think we should celebrate,” he whispered into her hair.

“There’s Luc’s expensive cognac,” she said, looking up but a drink no matter how expensive wasn’t what either of them had in mind. He led her to the comfy couch and stood her in front of him as he sat down.

“I like this dress too,” he said, as his hands rested on her knees. “I wonder what color panties you’re wearing underneath it.”

“You’ll have to guess,” Gina teased, gently slapping away his hands.

“What do I get if I’m right?” he asked, a huge grin covering his lips.

“Well, we’ll have to see about that. Let’s see if you can guess.” She stepped back, just out of his reach, wagging a finger at him when he reached out for her.

“Your pretty dress is purple so let’s see… are they purple?”

“Oh dear,” Gina sighed deeply, a mocking sound. “You don’t seem to be very good at this.”

“Okay,” he said, screwing his eyes up as he stared as though to see through her clothes to the flesh beneath. “Virgin white?”

“Oh dear, oh dear.” Gina took a step further away. “It’s such a shame on your birthday to be such a loser.”

“Black, pink, baby blue, orange or yellow?” he growled, falling to his knees in front of her as though begging. “It’s my birthday. You can’t be so cruel. Where’s my present?”

“Oh, come on, don’t give up that easily.” She would have moved away but he reached out, grabbing the hem of her dress, refusing to let her back any further.

“You’re a wicked woman,” he drawled, as one hand traveled beneath the silk of her dress. She sighed as the warm of his hand scolded her skin on its journey. “Why, you are a wicked creature! You’re not wearing anything under here.”

Gina chuckled as his hand investigated further.

“Open your legs for me, darling,” Noel breathed, his fingers occupying the space she offered him. He felt the wet warm welcome she promised as he slid one long finger inside her, enjoying the soft sigh above his head. “You’re so ready for me,” he growled, his hand starting a slow rhythm. He crept closer, lifting her dress as he did so. His mouth placed soft kisses along her thighs until his mouth and hand met. “I want to taste you.”

Gina cried out in delight as his hot tongue plunged between her feminine folds. He knew what she liked and was determined to give it to her. His free hand grasped her buttocks, holding her to his eager mouth as he plundered her senses, bringing sweet sensations to her body. He listened to her husky moans, felt the shudders rushing through her body as she came on his tongue. She was so responsive to everything he did.

“We haven’t finished yet, sweet lady,” he growled as he backed away to the couch, his hands clasping the hem of her dress so she had to move with him.

He pulled his jeans down, stepping out them before sitting on the couch, looking up at her. Gina looked him up and down, pausing at the sight of his erection. She hadn’t realized how thick it was but she knew what it felt inside and wanted to experience that again.

“What do you want me to do?” she asked. Did he want her take him into her mouth? She wouldn’t mind that at all.

  “Straddle me,
” he licked his lips as though tasting her on them. “I want you to ride me.”

A sudden thought rushed through her head.

“What about the boys? What if they wake up?”

“They won’t wake until morning, Luc assured me,” Noel stared, as though challenging her. Would she accept?” “I want you to ride me.”

Gina stepped forward, resting one knee and then the other either side of his thighs, lifting her dress in the process. She looked down into his excited face before reaching down to guide his hard shaft to her wet entrance. Slowly, almost painfully, she lowered herself until she sat impaled on his lap, his hardness trapped inside her. She enjoyed his hiss as she began to rotate her hips, feeling him slide in and then out again before she sat down again.

“You are a very wicked woman,” he gasped, as she moved over him, his hands grabbing her hips to assist her action. He couldn’t stop his own reaction and his hips began to push upwards, meeting her on every thrust.

“Harder,” she demanded of him as their rhythm built until her world consisted of their hips and the delicious friction between them. She cried out, shuddering, unable to hold back any further, the orgasm hitting full force.

Gina’s cries were too much for Noel as he emptied his soul into her willing body. His arms snaked around her, holding her head to his shoulder as the aftermath hit, sweet tremors as her muscles milked him for every drop.

“Now, that was the best birthday present I’ve ever had,” Noel whispered, one hand tenderly striking her soft hair.

“That’s the best Christmas present I’ve ever had,” Gina replied.

  Chapter Eleven

“You’ve had only two lovers?” Noel asked with his mouth close to her ear as she lay in his arms.
