“That’s it, baby. Let yourself go,” he encouraged her, his voice soft. “I would love to fuck you, but I’m going to do the next best thing.”

Without warning, he spread her legs wide, and with one vicious tug her panties disintegrated into his hand. The cool night air brushed against her warmth before his tongue pushed through her labia and found her clit. She cried out. How could anything feel this good?

She strained her pelvis upward. She was heady with her desire for him. She wanted him to take her virginity. She knew he wouldn’t hurt her. She looked up into his eyes. She saw him smile.

“You’re turning me on all over again, Abigail. You know you look better without clothes, baby. Your skin is so soft and beautiful and your breasts are perfect. But it’s this, what’s between your legs, that makes me want to lose myself inside you.”

  “Are you going to…?”

“Going to what?” he asked her.

  “You know.”

  “Say it,” he demanded.

“Are you going to fuck me?”

“I want to very badly, baby. I’m not taking your virginity. In fact, I shouldn’t be doing what I am except you’ve made me want you like crazy. I’m obviously not as good at denying myself as I thought, but I’m trying for your sake.”

  “Don’t,” she whispered.

“Fuck,” he groaned. “You don’t mean that. You’ll be glad when you wake up tomorrow and you’re still intact.

“But I want you,” she cried out.

“You’re not mine to take, Abigail.” He leaned upward and captured her lips in a kiss that forced her to moan into his mouth. “But I want you to come. I want you to feel how good it can be.”

He moved downward again to put his entire face between her legs as she moaned his name. With an expertise she knew had come doing with lots of other women, he used his lips and tongue to create sensations that had her writhing with need and desire. She hadn’t known it was possible to feel such out-of-control wanton lust as she felt at this moment. What, she wondered, would it be like to lose her virginity to this man?

His mouth continued its deliberate assault. She couldn’t control her moans as she felt the pressure build inside her. She was losing all sense of time and place. Jamie stopped and lifted his head momentarily from between her legs.

“Don’t hold back, Abigail. You want to come. I want you to give it to me. I want to taste you come. Now.”

His lowered his head again. His mouth continued to tease, caress, and fuck her pussy until she totally lost it. She cried out, her body straining upward. Her heart was racing. An overwhelming eruption of sensations overtook her with blinding speed, causing her to cry out incoherently again and again as her orgasm pounded her with relentlessly fury. Jamie had shown her no mercy. When she finally came back down to earth, she couldn’t move. She lay motionless against the wooden dock, her heart still pounding erratically from what he had just done to her.

“This was your first orgasm,” Jamie said and then smiled into her eyes. “I loved watching your face when you finally gave in to it.”

He moved away from her and hauled her up against him. He held her tightly. “And you’re still a virgin,” he said, kissing each eyelid.

She finally came around enough to realize with a start that she was still totally naked. She had never been naked in front of man like this and with the euphoric satisfaction of sex now subsiding, she was not only feeling vulnerable, but embarrassed once again.

“I need to get dressed,” she said, trying to pull herself from his arms.

“Don’t cover yourself, not just yet,” he said. “I like you like this.”

“Please,” she all but sobbed. “I need to get dressed.”

“It’s okay, Abigail. Don’t be ashamed of your body. I find you intoxicating.”

However, he let her go as she scurried away from him looking for her clothes. Panic engulfed her. He was watching her. Without thinking it through, she jumped into the water. Coming up for air, she looked to see that Jamie had jumped in beside her.

He smiled. “This was a good idea. Even if the water is a little cold.”

She nodded and disappeared back beneath the surface before coming up a few feet away from him

He continued to watch her, but he didn’t swim toward her. It was too dark for her to swim far. She knew she needed to get dressed. She had goose bumps all over her body. She had no choice but to lift herself back onto the dock. She walked to where her clothes were strewn, all but her underwear. She saw no sign of them, even in shreds, anywhere.

Jamie lifted himself up onto the dock and began to dress too. “Are you sorry about what happened?”

  She shook her head. “No.”

  “Are you sure?”

She nodded. “I’m not used to doing this.”

“I know,” he said, and then groaned. “I thought I had better control than that. I wanted you badly.”

“I wanted it too,” she admitted. “Then you’re not mad at me?”

“I’m mad at myself for losing control.” He looked sad. “I shouldn’t have done this, but I had to have you. I’m a bit in awe of you.”

She couldn’t help but smile. He had wanted her.

Jamie walked over to her and hugged her. “You’re very special. Thank you.”

“You’re special, too,” she said, feeling a little more comfortable with him now that she was dressed. “It was awesome,” she said, her voice somewhat breathless. “I liked it.”

“Me too.” He smiled again. “We should get back. Marty and Jessica are going to come looking for us.”

“I doubt it. They’re probably busy too.” She looked away, smiling shyly.

They walked hand in hand back up to the house. She felt incredibly sexy minus her underwear and with wet hair. She liked Jamie. She knew in her heart it wasn’t about control. He had plenty of it. He had wanted to make her feel desirable. Jamie wasn’t like any boy she had ever known. He was sweet and caring, but she had to admit, he could be forceful, too. It was a very sexy combination.

Charity or not, it was one of the best nights of her life. And although she was still a virgin, she had felt liberated. It had been wonderful to be with Jamie. She would have loved to see him again, but she knew the chances of that happening were nil to none. She was sure he had more than his share of women chasing him and it wouldn’t take him long to forget all about her.

Her instincts had been right. She had never seen him again, but she could never feel any ill will toward him or that night. She learned later, from Marty, that Jamie had left to go home suddenly. There was some kind of family emergency. She thought of asking for his phone number, but she didn’t want to be a pest or chance his rejection. She couldn’t bear for anything to mar what had happened between them that night.

He had made her feel desirable at a time when her self-esteem had been at an all-time low. And that had helped to give her the strength to make positive changes in her life.

“You’re so quiet,” Jessica said, passing the Garden State Parkway and heading into Atlantic City. “I thought you were sleeping.”

“I think I may have dozed off for a few minutes. What ever happened to that guy, Marty? The one you went to the end of summer formal with?”

“What made you think of him? He’s a lawyer in a firm in San Francisco.”

“Really? Do you still talk to him? Did he ever mention his friend Jamie?”

“We didn’t date that long. He’s on my Facebook, that’s the only reason I know where he is. Marty was a cutie, but not really my type. His friend Jamie was hot. You were the envy of every girl that night. I don’t know what happened to him. He’s not on Facebook.”

“He was nice. I liked him.”

“I’m glad you finally decided to go and that you had fun.”

“Thanks to you. I mean you got him to take me.”

“I thought he might ask you out again. He seemed pretty taken with you.”

  “He was my dream date
. Dream dates only happen once.”

“Well, no one has to get you dates anymore. You’ve bloomed. You’re lucky. Some of the girls we used to hang out with already look pretty beat.”

“That’s unkind,” Abby said, knowing what Jessica said held some truth to it. Jamie had told her that would be case and he had been right.

“We’re almost there,” Jessica said, relief in her voice. “I love driving this car, but driving anywhere longer than a half hour makes me antsy. You can drive on the way home.”

Abby looked out toward the bay. She could see the casino hotels towering against the afternoon sky. She felt a knot of excitement flutter in her stomach. Maybe it was wishful thinking, but she had a feeling this weekend was going to be one to remember.

  Chapter Three

When she and Jessica walked into the lobby of the Showboat, it was bustling with people, a brass band was playing and a man on stilts gave them plastic necklaces in red and green. There were also long lines at the desk to check-in.

Jessica called Chrissie. “They might already be in their room,” she explained to Abby. “If not, we can wait for them. We need a credit card and Chrissie is the one that collected everyone’s money.”

“I was surprised she did that,” Abby admitted. “I thought she’d want someone else to take care of the details, but she does like control.”

“She actually booked a couple rooms with a connecting door. I think we have just enough beds if we double up,” Jessica said, still waiting for Chrissie to pick up her phone.

“According to you, we may all have other options,” Abby teased.

“We can only hope,” Jessica said meaningfully, ending the call to Chrissie. “She didn’t pick up. I guess she’s still driving.”

“You want to just sit over there and wait?” She pointed to a small bar off the lobby.

Jessica nodded and walked toward the bar. “I meant what I said. We don’t have to leave until Monday, so you have three nights to party. Don’t go back to the room early and watch television. Drink, dance, and flirt. You never know, you might find Mr. Right.”

“In a club in Atlantic City? I’m more likely to meet the upcoming groom or a married man looking for some action. But I’ll do my best not to get in your way.”

Jessica rolled her eyes as they walked into the bar and sat down. Abby ordered a Diet Coke. Jessica told the waitress she wanted a piña colada. It came with an assortment of fruit on a stick and a colorful umbrella.

“Here’s to the beginning of many more umbrellas,” Jessica said and then laughed as she clinked her glass against Abby’s before she took a sip. “It’s yummy.”

  “It looks good.”

  “You should have ordered one.”

“We’ll see.” Those drinks were dangerous. They looked pretty and tasted sweet, but they could sneak up on you quickly. It was also a little early to start drinking.

Chrissie and the rest of the girls arrived within twenty minutes and it took another thirty minutes for them to check into their rooms. They dropped off their suitcases and decided to take a walk on the boardwalk. They ended up on the beach. Abby had worn a sundress over her swimsuit and sandals so it was easy to take them off and play in the water. She loved the beach and always had. Her parents had rented a house in Ocean City every summer for years when she was growing up.

Jessica had worn shorts and a tank top over her bathing suit. She stripped down, as did the other girls, including Chrissie. They didn’t hesitate to jump in the water in their skimpy bikinis. A number of men shot them admiring glances. There was a time when she would have been envious of their figures, however, she had slimmed down and she had to admit, the weight had come off in all the right places.

Although her bathing suit wasn’t quite as skimpy as the other girls’, she knew she showed a lot more skin because of her ample breasts that had not become smaller as the pounds had melted off. She knew men were watching her. Why couldn’t she ever acknowledge their admiring glances instead of pretending they weren’t looking at her? Even though she knew she wasn’t fat anymore, she still hadn’t overcome all her insecurities.

It had been a struggle in the beginning when she had finally decided she was going to lose enough weight so she would never be ashamed of her body again. That night with Jamie had been so special, but she knew it would have been more so if she had been less inhibited.

The next time she met someone who made her feel the way Jamie had, she wanted to embrace those feelings and not run from them. She was tired of being the girl that was afraid to pursue a guy if she was attracted to him. She had learned to force herself do the things that made her uncomfortable. However, being aggressive didn’t come naturally to her. She was definitely a work in progress.

So far the guys she had dated hadn’t made her feel much of anything. And although she wasn’t a virgin as a result of Jason’s insistence, she had never felt anything close to what she had that night with Jamie. She had, however, purchased some items she had found to be quite stimulating in the privacy of her bedroom. Initially she had been mortified when Jessica had dragged her to into what she labeled a new adventure, a sex store. She had surprised herself when her interest had been piqued enough to go again. It didn’t take long to realize it was a fascinating place full of wonderful toys.

“I’m starving,” Chrissie said, pulling on her shorts, dragging Abby back to the present. “Let’s get something to munch on and then take a nap before dinner. I’ve made reservations at a steakhouse for tonight. And then we can just relax until we get dressed to go clubbing!”

Abby smiled. Chrissie had always liked calling the shots. As the older cousin, she had always put Abby at a disadvantage when they were children. Chrissie loved to boss her around then and still did. She had never minded that much, which was why they had probably always gotten along so well. She followed the girls off the beach and back into the hotel.

After they had each eaten an oversized soft pretzel loaded with mustard, they returned to their rooms. Feeling tired, Abby was grateful that Chrissie had scheduled a nap. Someone set the alarm ahead for a couple hours. When it went off, it was a mad dash to get ready for dinner. The steakhouse had a long line. However, they were seated quickly because of the size of their party. The restaurant had been holding a table for them. By ten o’clock they were back in the room and elbowing each other out of the way for a turn at the one of the two bathroom mirrors.

Chrissie decided to wear a short, hot-pink sleeveless dress that left very little to the imagination. Jessica had opted for satin shorts with a vest and nothing else. It was pretty indecent, but she looked fabulous in it. The other girls all wore short, tight minidresses with super high heels.

Abby felt like the old maid in the group in her black, low-cut cocktail dress that was short, but covered all the essentials. She had decided to wear her light brown hair that she had streaked blonde back in a ponytail. Now that her face was thinner, wearing her hair back made her eyes look bigger and her high cheek bones even more prominent. She had learned how to apply her makeup to enhance her features and not hide them. She had been told her face could be startling when she was all made up. Even her mother had told her that she looked like a model.

She could feel the other girls giving her the once-over when she emerged from the bathroom. Although they didn’t comment, she smiled, thinking she must look okay.

“You look fabulous,” Jessica said warmly. “Here’s a keycard to the room. We each have one. Now, remember what I said, let yourself go tonight and have fun.”

“That’s right,” Chrissie said happily. “I plan to do whatever I want tonight. What happens here stays here. Is that right, ladies?”

“That’s right!” The girls screamed together before they spilled out the door, ready for whatever the evening held in store for them.

Abby felt slightly uncomfortable as they walked through the casino. People were staring at them. She couldn’t wait to get to the club, find a seat, and order a drink. A
t least there she wouldn’t feel like she was on display, since all the women would be dressed like they were. The other girls seemed to be eating up the attention, especially Jessica, who was smiling and making eye contact with all the men and women they passed.

The club was in full swing when they finally arrived. It was pretty much standing room only. The music was deafening and there were a number of strobe lights lighting up the dance floor. Jessica hauled Abby with her to the bar where a couple seats had magically opened up. Chrissie and the others followed. They ordered drinks and everyone headed for the dance floor except her and Jessica. How they were going to balance their drinks and dance at the same time was beyond her comprehension.

She and Jessica hadn’t taken more than two sips of their drinks when two men who looked to be somewhere in their late thirties sauntered up to them. They were nice looking in a bland sort of way, but their smiles were wolfish. There was no doubt in her mind that they wanted to get laid. However, Jessica was all smiles and began to flirt with them. Abby smiled, but she let Jessica do all the talking. She was extremely good at keeping men interested.

The guy with short, spikey blond hair, who said his name was Dan, asked Jessica to dance and the other guy, who reminded her of her eighth-grade chemistry teacher, looked Abby up and down, his eyes lingering on her breasts. He introduced himself as Mike.

  “Wanna dance, sweet thing?”

“Sure.” She might as well since Jessica had already disappeared into the throng of dancers and left her alone. She wished he didn’t resemble Mr. Harvey who, if she remembered correctly from the gossip she had heard, had been fired for making inappropriate advances to one of his students.

She left her almost-empty drink at the bar and walked beside the man called Mike onto the dance floor where she began to move with the beat of the music. The drink had gone down too easily. She could feel the warmth in her veins as she danced. He kept moving closer and closer to her until his body was rubbing up against hers lewdly. She didn’t like it and she didn’t like the way he was looking down her dress. He was getting creepier by the minute.
