True Colors

  Robby could picture Taylor arguing her point on a debate stage or pleading her case on the campaign trail as she tried to escape her father’s shadow while simultaneously establishing her own legacy. Taylor might not find the support she sought, but she was guaranteed to find opposition. And there was no way Robby would let her fight the battle alone.

  “We’re in this together,” she said. “For better or for worse.”

  “For better or for worse?” Taylor asked, her voice as gentle as her touch. “I like the sound of that.”

  “So do I. Now let’s get out of here. I think several rounds of makeup sex are in order. Unless, of course, you’d like to put it to a vote.”

  Taylor grinned. “No, I think the ayes have it.”

  As they walked out of the café hand in hand, Robby felt like she was about to embark on the adventure of a lifetime. She had no idea what the future held, but she didn’t care as long as she would be able to share it with Taylor. The only woman who had looked past her façade and seen her true colors.
