Tame Me (Book #1 in the Blood Brothers MC Series) Page 17

by J. A. Collard

“Fuck,” he grunts, and in one swift movement, he removes his cock from my ass and thrust deep inside of my pussy. “I want to come in here, not your ass.” The rumble of his voice vibrates within me. He slams his cock inside my pussy a couple more times until he’s groaning from his own release. Warm, thick liquid pours inside me and I feel his cock pulse. Quill falls forward, sighing as he turns his head toward me and asks, “Shower with me?”

“Quill, I’m worn out. Surely you don’t want to have sex again?”

He laughs, and I swear it’s the sexiest sound I have ever heard. “No, babe, as much as I want to, I don’t think my cock’s up for the challenge.”

I slap his chiseled butt as I get up off the bed. “Come on you, let’s have a shower. I’m slick with sex.” As I head toward the bathroom, Quill lifts me from behind, and I squeal as he carries me to the shower.

“Only if I’m the one that gets to wash you down,” he whispers in my ear. No use arguing with the man. Washing me down sounds like a plan.

As I’m quickly drying Quill off, my tummy grumbles again. I place my hand on my stomach, feeling embarrassed as Quill cocks his eyebrow at me.

  “Hungry, babe?”

“Yes,” I reply, feeling heat hit my cheeks. “Are you hungry?”

“Famished actually,” he says with a smirk as he walks toward me, making me his prey.

“No, no more. I can’t take anymore, Quill. I need to eat and so do you,” I say, laughing. I quickly run into my bedroom where I open my drawers and put on some panties followed by a T-Shirt that I use to sleep in. Quill comes into my room and slips his jeans on with his shirt forgotten on the floor. I turn around to face him. “Can you put your shirt on, please? I won’t be able to eat with you looking like that,” I say, pointing a finger to his torso.

Quill smiles and kisses my cheek. “I love that I distract you, babe.”

“Let’s go eat, shall we?” I encourage, changing the subject before I ask him to take me again. I walk out of my room with Quill trailing behind. Luisa made me chicken soup, but somehow I can’t imagine my man eating it, so I open the fridge and find eggs, bacon, cheese, and mushrooms. I glance up and see he’s trailing his hands over my CD collection. He picks one out and places it in the player.

  “Omelet?” I ask.

“I’ll have whatever you’re having, babe,” he responds as he plays around with my stereo.

“Okay.” That was easy. I start beating the eggs and add the other ingredients. I start up the frying pan and hear Nickelback playing “How You Remind Me.” I love this song. Quill walks up behind me as I’m cooking and puts his hands around my waist. “You better stop doing that,” I say as he kisses my neck.

“Why? You worried you might choose me over the omelet?”

“Quill,” I say, turning around to face him. “I need to eat and so do you.”

“Okay, okay, I’ll give you space.”

I flip the omelets onto two plates and head over to the bench where Quill is waiting. It feels so domestic having Quill in my apartment, sitting on my stool, and me cooking for him, just like a normal couple.

  “Beer?” I ask.

“Yes, please,” he replies, smiling at me as my eyes linger on his chest a little too long.

I go to the fridge and grab two Coronas and place one in front of Quill. He digs into his omelet and is practically finished before I begin. I giggle as I watch him.

  “What’s so funny?”

“Just you, bad boy biker, eating an omelet.”

“This is good, babe,” he says, forking the rest of it.

  “Why, thank you.”

He laughs and takes a swig of his beer. I see the dampness on his lips and want to lick it off, but I hold back, and instead, my eyes wander to his bare chest. God, give me strength. He’s so damn hot. No man should look this fine. I don’t even realize I’m doing it until Quill releases my bottom lip from my teeth. Before I get even more distracted, I turn to continue eating my omelet.

“What do your tattoos mean?” I ask curiously.

Quill rests his chin on his hand and says, “Which ones?”

“That one,” I say, pointing to the picture of the cross and the rosary.

“Oh, that. I lost some men when I served.”

“Oh,” I say, looking down at my food. “I’m sorry.”

“Don’t be sorry. You did nothing wrong.” He rubs my bare leg. His calloused fingers sliding up my thigh causes tingles to run through my body.

“I know, it’s just, it must be hard losing men out there.”

“You can say that, but it makes you stronger, Jasmine. It makes you realize how short life really is and how you should grab it by the balls and live each day as if it were the last.”

  “Wow,” I respond, smiling.

“Yep, I found the Blood Brothers MC when Hawke and I were discharged. The club is like family. I would do anything for it.”

“What does your dad think of you in a motorbike club?” I ask, trying to understand how a five-star hotel manager would approve of a biker son.

Quill clenches his jaw, and his face turns hard as he looks away. “I don’t give a fuck what he thinks. This is who I am, and neither he nor anybody else can change that.

I notice emotion lace his eyes, but I choose not to push him further. I grab his empty plate and mine. I’m placing them in the dishwasher when I hear my phone ring. It must be back in the bedroom.

“Make yourself at home. I’ll just go answer that.”

Quill stops the CD player and then sits on the couch to watch some TV. I run to my bedroom to answer my phone and see Nic’s name displayed on the screen.

  “Hello,” I whisper.

“Jasmine? Hi, it’s Nic. I didn’t disturb you, did I?”

“Ah, what’s up, Nic? I can’t talk right now,” I explain. I hear a creak and turn toward my door and find Quill leaning up against it.

“I won’t take much of your time. I’m just calling to see if you’re still good to meet tomorrow at eleven o’clock?”

My eyes lock with Quills when I respond. “Eleven o’clock is fine, Nic. I’ll see you then.”

“Okay great, eleven o’clock it is then,” Nic replies. “Looking forward to it, Jasmine.”

“Is that your ex on the phone, Jasmine?” Quill growls, interrupting my phone call with Nic.

I don’t respond to Quill and quickly say my good-byes to Nic.

“Was that fucking Nic, your ex?” Quill asks again. He storms toward me, and I scramble back, scared of his anger. “You’re not fucking meeting him, do you hear me?” he demands, pacing my room.

“You can’t tell me what to do, Quill. This is my life. I’m not doing anything wrong here. He just needs closure, and I think he deserves that.”

He turns around and freezes. “I don’t give a fuck what you think he deserves. You’re not fucking going.”

I straighten and push my face forward to meet his. His nostrils flare with his anger and I glare at him. “Well, you don’t tell me what I can and can’t do,” I say, pointing my finger at his chest. He removes it and throws it back at me.

“You fucking do this, Jasmine, and that’s it, we’re done!” he growls, giving me an ultimatum.

“Don’t be ridiculous. It’s just coffee. Why are you acting like this?”

He stands back with his hands on his hips, shaking his head. “You don’t get it, do you? I fucking love you,” he admits and runs his hand through his hair.

I gasp, feeling stunned. Did he just say love?

“What did you just say?” I ask, wanting to be sure I heard him right.

“Doesn’t matter.” He drops his hands to his sides. “You go and meet your ex, and that’s it, Jasmine. We’re done, and I won’t come after you this time. It will be on you.”

I clench my fists as anger takes over my body. “Well, I guess we’ll see, won’t we.”

Disappointment hits me hard. Why can’t he trust me? If he really loves me, then doesn’t trust play a big
part in that? He’s acting like a caveman; it’s ridiculous. His eyes, which were full of lust not that long ago, have suddenly turned cold and void of emotion.

“Quill, please,” I beg, walking toward him.

He ignores my plea, grabs his boots, and puts them on, followed by his shirt and cut. Without a backward glance, he storms out of my apartment. I stand there facing my closed door and hear his motorbike come to life and then disappear as Quill leaves me, just like that. I collapse on my couch and cry my heart out. Then my tears turn into anger. How dare he! How dare he give me an ultimatum after everything I’ve been through with Jess! Now he’s telling me who I can and can’t see. Who does he think he is? He didn’t mean it, surely. If he really does love me, then he’ll be back. What’s the big deal anyway? It’s only coffee.

I go back to my room and see my covers all twisted from our lovemaking. My stomach twists in knots as I realize it was not too long ago that he had me in every way possible. He said he loves me. I love him too, but I was too scared to admit that to him and to my heart. He’s so arrogant; he wouldn’t even let me explain. I jump into bed and fell asleep while sobbing.

  Chapter Twenty-Five

  Jasmine

The next morning, I wake up with red, puffy eyes and a throbbing headache. All the crying last night has me feeling drained. It’s as if I’m hung over, but with no alcohol. I hear Luisa cooking in the kitchen. I look at the time and see that it’s 8:00 a.m. She’s opening the store for me today, and I planned to come in later to meet Nic. I stumble my way through the kitchen, led by the smell of bacon drifting through the air and the sound of giggles. Just as I turn the corner, I stop in my tracks as there before me are Hawke and Luisa, having sex on the kitchen bench. Yuck! I’m not going to be able to look at this kitchen the same way. “Uh-hmm,” I say, clearing my throat and announcing that I’m in their presence.

“Oh shit,” Luisa says, looking over her shoulder apologetically. “Sorry, did we wake you?” She shoves Hawke aside and slides down from the bench. My eyes flare wide when I see Hawke is wearing nothing but white boxers.

I cover my eyes and reply, “Sorry, I’ll, um, leave you guys to it.” I turn around to head back to my room.

“No, wait, Jazz! It’s okay. I was just going to call you to join us for breakfast.”

I turn back around and find Hawke smirking at me. “Come on, darlin’, no need to get all shy on me. I’m not bad to look at,” Hawke says, winking at me. I blush at his nakedness and pull my nightshirt further down my legs, feeling a bit naked myself, and then shrug it off when I see Luisa wearing just Hawke’s tee.

“You’re so full of yourself,” I tease.

“Nothing wrong with being honest, Jasmine,” Hawke admits. Luisa slaps him across his shoulder and Hawke yells, “Ow, that hurt, baby.”

“As if,” she playfully says as she grabs the spatula and turns over the eggs.

I watch the two of them, admiring the easiness between them. I try to look at Hawke through Luisa’s eyes. He’s a good-looking man with dark blue eyes and shoulder-length, sandy-colored hair that’s tied back in a bun. He has large muscles and his abs create a ripple effect. He had that V going on, just like Quill. But when I look at Hawke, there’s no longing or butterflies in my stomach unlike when I’m around Quill. I only see Hawke as a friend and more like a brother. My stomach caves when I think about how Quill left last night, and I shake my head to rid myself of all thoughts of him.

  “Sleep well, Jazz?” Lu asks.

I move across to the fridge to make myself some juice and reply, “Yeah, okay I guess. What happened last night? I didn’t hear you guys get in.”

Hawke playfully slapped Lu on her butt and says, “That’s because this wildcat begged me to be quiet so we wouldn’t wake you.” Hawke circles his arms around Luisa’s waist and kisses her head. He’s so sweet.

I hurt inside, but I don’t want to interrupt their happy moment by mentioning my fight with Quill last night. I fell asleep with my iPod playing through my earphones the night before, so it’s no wonder I didn’t hear a thing.

“Sit down, Jazz. Eat with us.” Lu places our plates on the bench.

  “Okay,” I say hesitantly. “Thanks.”

I’m not going to turn down Lu’s cooking. She’s a great cook, and no matter how awkward I feel at this moment, nothing is going to stop me from eating.

Hawke takes a seat beside me on the stool, and Lu sits on his lap when he taps his thigh, motioning her to sit on him. My appetite suddenly fades as I watch them feeding each other and stealing kisses between each mouthful. I start playing with my food but do not eat anything.

“What’s wrong, Jasmine? Did you and Quill get to talk it out last night?”

I don’t answer her. I just watch as Luisa grabs a piece of bacon and feeds it to Hawke. After he stops chewing, he says, “Quill said he was coming straight over here when we got back. The brother didn’t even go back to the clubhouse. He said he had to talk to you first, so I know he was here.”

“We talked all right,” I reply bitterly.

“So where is he?” Lu asks.

I inhale deeply and then answer. “I have no idea. Things didn’t end well between us last night.”

“What the fuck?” Hawke growls, slamming his fork down on the plate and rubbing his hand down his face in frustration. “That fucker is fucking crazy about you. What happened last night?”

“Um, well, we did get to talk it out, and things were good until…” I stop midsentence.

“Until what, Jasmine?” Lu asks, eyeing me suspiciously.

“Nic called me last night,” I say in a breath.

“Nic? Why the hell is that asshole calling you?” Lu demands, getting up from Hawke’s lap and moving closer to me.

I push my plate away and face Lu. With everything that’s been going on in the last week, it slipped my mind about filling Luisa in.

“Jazz, tell me, what did he want?” she repeats.

“He said he was sorry, Lu. He called the other night to apologize for everything, saying he’s gotten help and wanted to get closure from me. He sounded sad and honest.” I look at Hawke and find him frowning at me. “Anyway, last night he called to confirm our catch-up today, and Quill overheard our conversation, and let’s just say he wasn’t happy.”

“What exactly wasn’t he happy about?” Lu asks.

“Well, I agreed to meet Nic today at eleven o’clock for coffee.”

Luisa blows out a breath she was holding and glances back at Hawke as if to say “shut up.”

Hawke seems angry. Is he angry at me? What is wrong with these men?

“Jasmine, sweetie, excuse my French, but are you fucking crazy meeting Nic after everything he put you through?”

“Look, it’s no big deal. It’s just a catch-up. Nothing’s gonna happen, Lu. I’m a smart girl. I’m not gonna take his shit. He sincerely wants to say sorry face to face; that’s all,” I explain.

“I hope you know what you’re doing, Jazz.” Lu shakes her head.

I grab Lu’s hand, and she gives me her full attention. “I know you’re a good friend right now, and I love you for that, but I need this. I need to see him and get closure for myself. You understand, don’t you?”

Luisa sighs and then smiles. “Okay, Jazz. Well, you know what you’re doing, and I’m here for you. I’ll be there anyway, so I can keep an eye on you two.”

I quickly give her a hug and sit back on my stool. “Thanks, I know you’ll be there.”

“So I’m guessing Quill’s not thrilled with you meeting Nic, and that’s why you guys didn’t make up?”

“No, he wasn’t thrilled, and that’s an understatement. He wouldn’t even give me a chance to explain. He just went all caveman on me and said that if I went, then we’re done.”

“And what did you say?” Hawk asks.

“I told him that he couldn’t tell me what to do, and he basically stormed out.”

“You don’t get it, do you, Jasmine
?”

“Get what, Hawke?” I reply with annoyance laced in my voice.

Hawke rubs his chin and looks down at the bench. “Quill had a hard childhood. He never had a proper father. His old man is a bastard. He joined the Marines to get out from under his thumb. He completed three tours until he was sentenced to jail for not following a bullshit command. He’s had it tough, Jasmine.”

I cover my mouth as I gasp at the news that Quill has been in jail.

“Quill’s never known love,” Hawke continues. “He’s never had it. We joined the club together after we were discharged from the Marines. All we wanted was to be part of a brotherhood again. When Quill got voted in as president, he made the club better. The way he acted when you left that night, well, I’ve never seen him like that over a girl before. He’s crazy about you. He’d do anything for you. Women throw themselves at him all the time, and the guy never even bats an eye. He’s never shown any interest; that’s until he met you that morning at the Royal Vista.”

“I don’t know what you want me to say,” I cry. “He’s the one who left me, not the other way around.” Tears pool in my eyes, and I angrily swipe them away.

“Listen, darlin’, I know you’re hurting, but he would be hurting too. You need to work this out with him. Whatever Quill does, he does in full force and gives it his all, and that’s what he’s doing with you.”

“What if I don’t like to be given orders, Hawke?” I ask, pushing my chair back.

“Well, that’s between you and Quill. All I’m saying is you need to see things from his side. He obviously wants you as his old lady.”

“Old lady? You can’t be serious?”

“Why not? Are you too good to be an old lady and wear his patch?”

“No, it’s not that. It’s just Quill made it sound like an old lady is like a wife.”

“That’s about right,” Hawke confirms, winking at me. “And you’ll make a hell of a president’s old lady. This means you’re his, you wear his patch so everyone else knows you’re his too. The club will have your back, but you need to follow club laws, and one of those laws is you never be alone with another man unless Quill agrees to it.”
