To my amazing agent, Beth Miller, and the entire Writers House team, a huge, heartfelt thank you. Beth, this book would not be what it is today without your brilliant notes and suggestions. Thank you for all your hard work, dedication, and for being an all-around awesome person.

To my editor, Karen Grove, thank you for loving this book in its earliest stages. You made the editing process, dare I say, fun? Thank you for your keen insight, tenacity, and patience. I’ve learned so much from you and am eternally grateful for all you’ve done.

To Kelly Elliott, my copy editor, thank you for your brilliant attention to detail and for your spot-on notes. Throughout, I kept thinking to myself, Genius! Yes! A world of thanks to you.

To the entire Entangled Team, I’m thrilled to be part of such a fabulous group of people. Thank you so much for your never-ending support and enthusiasm.

To Marisa Reichardt and Elise Robins: I could write an entire book on how grateful I am to you. They say it takes a village to raise a child, but it also takes one to write a book. Thank you for being my village. Mad love for you. To Heidi Swan, a special thank you for being a huge support during the early stages of this book. Your “spitballs” always kept me on my toes and helped to make this a better book.

To my early readers: Karen, Louisa, Deidra, and Carli. Huge hugs to all of you for reading the first flimsy draft and for agreeing to read more. Thank you for your time, your notes, and your encouragement. I’m lucky to have you as my dear friends.

To Jay, my one-time kickboxing trainer and forever friend, thanks for making me believe anything is possible. “Fall seven times, stand up eight.”

To Marci Liroff, who didn’t know me at all but was gracious enough to help me immeasurably—thank you! And to Ginny Rankin, I’m eternally grateful to you for breaking down the daily life of a Hollywood assistant. Thank you for generously taking the time to speak with me on numerous occasions. To Dylan Shrader, thanks for sharing your stories and giving me an inside glimpse at the life of an assistant! To Anton, thank you for your help with all things Hollywood, and for providing me with one of my fave lines in the book. To my niece, Alex, thanks for the pot-bellied pig expertise!

And finally, to my wonderful husband, Stuart, and my amazing kids: thank you for making me smile every day, and for your love and your unwavering support. I love you all to the moon and back.
