by Kimberley Montpetit

Traveling and research are another hunger Kimberley cannot ignore. So far, she’s stayed in the haunted tower room at Borthwick Castle in Scotland, sailed on the Seine in Paris, swam in the ocean waters at Cannes, ridden a camel among the glorious cliffs of Petra, sunbathed on Waikiki, shopped the maze of the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul, and spent the night in an old Communist hotel in Bulgaria.

Seeing my novel, Paris Cravings, published is a dream come true. I first began writing it in 2007 and got side-tracked publishing my magical realism middle-grade novels with the wonderful folks at Scholastic the last few years. I also have a Young Adult trilogy, FORBIDDEN, launching November 2014 with Harpercollins. All these books are under my name, Kimberley Griffiths Little.

Since I have many other book projects sitting in my files I decided to publish them under my *other* name, Kimberley Montpetit (our family’s original French surname before it was changed to Little in the 1800s).

I have many people to thank. My first reader for the last ten years has been my very good friend, Carolee Dean, who publishes YA novels with Simon & Schuster. I’m also greatly indebted to Bev Kat Rosenbaum whose critique service I used several years ago when first writing and revising PARIS CRAVINGS.

I’m thrilled with the very romantic and perfect cover by the talented artist, Claudia at http://www.phatpuppyart.com. Huge thanks to Ashley Argyle, my marvelous editor and copy editor at www.inktipediting.com. She helped my prose sing, caught errors, and I loved her smiley faces in the margins when Chloe is being her silly, adorable self. I’m grateful to Ali Cross for the gorgeous formatting of this book! I adore the interior design inside Paris Cravings and for all her help in answering a thousand questions as I embark on this new publishing journey. She’s a blessing in my life. Last, but certainly not least, thank you to my wonderful family for their brainstorming and title help and encouragement and for letting me hang out with my imaginary friends through the years.
