“Come on, Angel.” He took her hand and led her out of the alley. “I owe you that ice cream and some fireworks.”

It has truly been an honor for me to bring to light an issue facing those who have served our country. The mental health aspect, including PTSD, are just a small part of the issues facing the men and women who have served our country. As mentioned in the book, twenty veterans take their own lives every single day.

If you, or someone you know in the military, is having a rough time, please reach out to:

Depression, PTSD, anxiety disorders, and many other mental health afflictions are pervasive. If you are suffering and need someone to talk to – please don’t suffer in silence.

Thank you to all the readers and blogger/readers who have embraced the Moore stories and me over the past 5 years. This book is for you. Since the release of Moore than Forever, you have asked me repeatedly for Holly’s story, and I’ve been kind of reticent about writing it. And that was for a few reasons. The first reason being, I didn’t know her story yet, and although I’m somewhat of a pantser, I generally know the rough outline of a story when I sit down to write it (the exception to that was Searching for Moore – I had no clue I was going to write that book and even less of a clue as to where it was going or how it was going to get there) and with Holly and Aiden’s story, I didn’t for a long time. The second reason was fear that an additional Moore story might not live up to the rest of the Moore books, and that is the last thing I wanted to see happen. I want readers to walk away from this feeling it was worthy of being part of the Moore works, and I hope that is what I have given you.

So, thank you all for asking me to write this book – I had so much fun getting to develop and know Holly and Aiden as much more than secondary characters. It was also a treat to spend a lot of time with Schooner and Mia, and to see how their relationship and rapport has grown, and the comfort level with which they navigate life as a couple and as a team. Putting Schooner, Mia, and CJ in a room together is a writer’s joy. There are so many unresolved issues in that triangle, and the tightrope they walk, as they readily regress into their teenaged selves when in one another’s presence, is a blast for me – and I hope for you, too.

Again, thank you dear readers and bloggers for wanting Moore…

A special thank you to my Facebook readers group, Richman’s Rogue BBCs – you guys make what I do so much fun. I adore all the positive attitudes and the respect everyone shows to one another. It is truly a drama-free zone and that is because of all of you. Thank you for your love and support.

Vi and P – Having people that “get” it and can laugh with me at the good, bad, and ugly is truly a blessing and I am so thankful that you two are only a PM box away. Thank you for making me snort!

Cleida and Kristen – One of the great things about being in this community is that our paths crossed, and you became part of my life. (Thanks, Schooner) We need to plan a trip!

Jena – I so appreciate your patience and positive attitude as I try to convey what I am seeing inside my head. You have brilliantly translated my somewhat cryptic thoughts into beautiful covers. And Moore than a Feeling is yet another one.

Tiffany – Thank you for taking the time to read this manuscript and share your expertise and advice. I really appreciate your input and perspective and truly admire your ability to handle life with poise and a smile.

Kelly – You are like an oasis in the midst of a chaotic storm. Thank you for your guidance and support.

Eric – Our first time working together and I’m sure it won’t be our last. Thanks for Will and the perfect Aiden.

Elaine – Thank you for ensuring everything is perfect and ready to roll. I promise my ‘bad habits’ will be corrected.

Elena – “Do you have something for me yet?” ☺ You will be the one to make sure I’m never a slacker! Thank you for taking your personal time to make sure everything looks okay.

And last, but not least, the hugest thank you in the world to my family. Mark and Max, you put up with so many nights and weekends where I’m squirreling away in my cave, as we live in a home filled with German Shepherd hair, that I easily walk past and ignore while I’m listening to the characters in my head tell me their story. Dog hair tumbleweed… every home should have some.

And while I’m thanking family, there are two ladies that always get my manuscript moments after the last word is typed (if we still used pens, the ink would still be wet). I love these two women more than you can imagine. Deepest thank you and love to my mom, and my best friend, Mindy, for your love and support in all I do and all that I am.

And if you’re wondering… I don’t know when, but I’m sure there will always be Moore…

Thank you all for your support and for loving the Moores.
