“I don’t know.” Sean turned away, suddenly feeling stifled by their jubilation. Things had been hard enough for him when they’d gone to the lake, and that was before the robbery and the feelings that’d followed. Now he was going to go down the shore with them. He’d have to keep his dick on ice for days while watching Meg frolic around on the beach in her bikini. He just knew she owned one. With a body like hers, it would be a sin if she didn’t.

“You can’t pass this up.” Zane was almost yelling at him. Sean tried every excuse there was—yard work, the business. He couldn’t use money as an excuse. Their accommodations would be free.

Meg’s soft voice had him breaking out in a cold sweat. “We want you there with us. Please come.”

Sean faced them. The setting sun streamed across their still faces with a soft glow. Once again, he gave in to the self-torment.

“Okay,” he sighed. “One condition, though.”

  “Name it,” Zane demanded.

“I take the bike, so in case I’ve had enough fun and sun…I can come home without dragging you guys back early.”

“Done.” Zane patted him on the back.

  “That’s fine.” Meg nodded, agreeing.

  * * * *

Sean gunned the bike up the winding, cobblestoned driveway. The briny sea air cut through his nostrils. The house was a modern-day monster. Who owned it? Sean hadn’t asked. How Zane had stumbled over this opportunity he once again didn’t ask.

Zane trailed after him, driving Meg’s car. They all pulled up in front of the three-car garage and cut their engines. Meg jumped out of the car, her purple sundress billowing around her shapely legs. Gulls whined overhead, gliding on the sea breeze. Sean kicked out the kickstand and unloaded his duffel.

“This is awesome.” Meg sprinted up the side stairs that led to a back deck that ran down the entire length of the house, overlooking the ocean. Zane unloaded the trunk and met him at the door.

“Nice, huh?” He tipped his head, gazing up at the house.

“I don’t know how you do it.” Sean laughed. “Who owns this place?”

“Richie’s lover.” Zane slid the keys into the lock.

Sean grabbed his arm. “This is Erik’s place?” Sean felt his face freeze. Zane looked at him, his brows knitted. He knew Richie was gay. He owned and operated the antique store in town. Sean also knew he had a lover, obviously a very rich lover. “Erik got a tattoo?” Sean held back his laughter, his mouth hanging open.

“He sure did, and a very large one at that.” Zane chuckled. Zane took in his puzzled expression. Sean waved his own question away. Some things he didn’t need to know.

“I just didn’t think he was the type,” Sean added.

“You know what they say about stereotyping,” Zane mocked playfully. Sean took a breath.

“I tell you, that cancer has turned you into a bold fuck.”

  “Life’s too short, man.”

“I like your new philosophy,” Sean muttered. He needed to get a grip and relax.

The door opened into a large foyer. The wheat-colored floorboards gleamed. A stained-glass lamp sat on a narrow white table, decorated with an assortment of shells. Their footsteps echoed up a short stairwell. A large, contemporary kitchen that flowed into a dining area greeted them. Off to the left was a cozy living room. The soft pastel blues, peaches, and whites blended well with the décor. A white leather sectional dominated the room, accented with wicker furniture in the dining area.

Meg was out on the deck, peering out at the oscillating sea. The wind lifted her hair as she leaned over the railing, taking in their environment. Sean dropped his bag and walked over to the sliding glass door. He scanned the beach, the sand desolate.

“Why’s the beach empty? Where the hell is everybody?” He felt Zane’s breath on the back of his neck.

“It’s empty because it’s all ours.”

Sean spun, their faces inches apart.

“It’s a private beach?” He battled for air, his nerves rattled again.

“That’s right, big guy. It’s all ours to do what we wish.” Zane’s brows waggled.

Sean’s gut twisted. Things could get tricky with all this seclusion. He did have the bike, though. His insides calmed. He wiped the dampness off his forehead.

“Is the air on in here?”

“Hot already?” Zane chuckled. The naughtiness that was etched in both Zane’s expression and tone had Sean on the verge of wetting himself. God help me. The door slid open behind him. Meg stood in the threshold, her hair wildly tossed about her lovely face. Her nipples pointed through the thin gauze of her dress. Sean gripped the arm of the nearest chair and glanced back at Zane, his eyes flickering back to Meg’s. I’m so screwed.

  Chapter Fourteen

The sun slipped below the sea, the sky’s canvas brushed with strokes of oranges and purples. As darkness was inked in above, the stars popped, shimmering on the shadowy sea below. The sea breeze felt damp, misting his skin. Zane built a bonfire. Flames wrapped around the logs, lashing out at the night sky. Meg had made them shrimp skewers and baked potatoes, all done over the fire.

He hadn’t meant to drink four beers. His head now felt thick and heavy. Meg had had two drinks, only lightly spiking her fruit nectar with vodka. Zane drank his O’Doul’s, poking at the fire. Sean reclined back on his towel. His back molded into the sand, his hands laced behind his head.

The waves overturned, filling his ears with an endless, hypnotic sound. He drifted away. Every bone cracked in relaxation as his body became weightless. Muted screams had his eyes fluttering open. The stars danced in his vision. Half a moon was perched in the corner of the sky. He sat up, his body loose, drugged with sleep. Sean squinted out into the rumbling sea.

Two shadowed figures ran in and out of the blackened water. They were naked, their bodies jumping and dodging the rows of white foam before they inched up the sand. Meg wailed as she ran from Zane. He playfully splashed her, chasing after her. Zane turned, veering his gaze to the shore. Meg stepped out of the water. Her silhouette emerged from out of the darkness. She walked toward him, her nude body a breathtaking sight. Sean’s fingers dug into the fine sand, feeling the residual heat of the day. His insides shifted, unsure of what was going to happen. He licked his wind-dried lips.

Water beaded off her breasts. He could see the scant hairs dusting the V between her legs. Her tat sparkled like a reflector in the moon’s glow. His throat grew tight. He’d seen her at the lake, but with the woods around them it seemed so much darker then. His eyes lifted to hers. She brushed back her wet hair and knelt down next to him.

“Come swimming.” She extended her hand to him. His cock was wide awake now, his eyes struggling to avoid her stiff nipples. Her eyes lowered at the tented material of his shorts. Sean shifted his body in the sand. If he took his shorts off, she’d see what she did to him. Her words met his thoughts, jarring him to the core. “You think too much. Come on.” She stood and moved away, giving him space.

Sean watched her body recede into the night. Zane called out to them, waving them into the waves. Sean dropped his shorts. The sea air licked his skin. His toes dug into the sand as he pushed himself toward the water.

  * * * *

Zane bodysurfed the next wave. The sand scratched the skin of his knees as the water tossed him on the shore. He struggled to stand. The sea slapped at his body. A temperate breeze dried his skin, tightening it with a salty mask. His eyes had adjusted. The whitecaps of the waves separated the sea from the sky. He met Sean in the shallow surf. Tiny shells and pebbles dug into the balls of his feet.

“I know she’s gotten to you.” Zane laid a hand on his shoulder. “She’s got a knack for getting under your skin.” Thoughts that’d been silenced floated in the air. “It’s amazing, isn’t it?” Zane smiled. “After a while you just can’t turn away. You taught me that, remember?” Zane’s words had just labeled the last few weeks for Sean. That’s exactly the way it’d been for him.

  “I’m sorry.
” Sean’s eyes skirted around his.

“Don’t be.” Zane moved closer, his mouth near Sean’s ear. The waves sloshed around them. He turned to the sea. Meg’s head bobbed above the surface of the rippling water. “What’s mine is now yours.”

Sean’s body went rigid before him, his face snapping to his. His eyes darkened. A slight uncertainty had his lids lowering.

“What has Meg said?” Sean’s words were hushed, barely audible over the sounds of an active ocean. Zane saw the skin of his throat work, slowly swallowing. “I don’t want her feeling sorry for me.” Sean’s face contorted. Zane steered his shoulders to him, their faces close. Zane felt the accelerated breaths hiss out of Sean’s mouth.

“No one’s feeling sorry for anyone. You saved her life. The robbery, it’s changed things between you, between all of us, just like my cancer has.”

Sean shook his head. “She doesn’t owe me anything. Neither do you.” His words were abrupt.

“Friends don’t owe, remember?” Zane forced Sean’s eyes back on his. “Don’t be like I was, always pushing things away. You pushed me to act on my feelings for her. Are you forgetting that? We can have it all. It’s all right in front of you.” Zane was using Joe’s words—an older man he’d met at the treatment center who was forced to succumb to stage four liver cancer. Joe’s life-changing words had never left his mind.

Sean’s raspy words were laced with an ache that Zane wanted to wash away. “This is too weird. I don’t know.” Sean rubbed his jaw. “What d’you want me to do?” His face was pained with apprehension.

Zane grabbed him again, his fingers digging into the rounded bicep of Sean’s arm. “Just let it out, man. Let the feelings lead you. They’ll take you to where you need to be, where all of us should be.”

The outline of Meg’s body sliced through the waves, swimming toward them, her gaze intimate. Zane tried passing her some sort of visual signal. He wanted Meg to reach out to Sean, giving him the confirmation he needed. Meg swam over to Sean and stood in the water, taking his hand. Water beaded on her skin like tiny diamonds.

“I’m glad you came in.” She smiled up at him, her expression warm and welcoming. Sean lifted his hand out of the water and stroked her cheek. His finger traced the line of her jaw, down the column of her neck. Zane moved behind Meg in the water. The tide was dropping. The sea lapped at their thighs, filling the air with the sound of an endless ebb and flow. Sean’s cock bowed against the firm, muscled flesh of his navel, eyes black with need.

Zane held his hungry gaze, his tone raw with desire. “Show my girl how you feel…make her ours.”

Meg’s soft voice extended the invitation. “I want whatever you do, both of you.” Her voice was thick. She moved closer to Sean. Sean’s hand cupped her cheek. His tongue dragged over his lips in preparation.

Zane’s dick was stiff as a steel pole. Watching this unfold between them was the hottest thing he’d seen so far. He wanted more, though. He wanted Meg and Sean joined, fucking through all that pent-up lust so the love he knew was buried below could blossom between them.

Zane’s hands caressed Meg’s body from behind. His hands cupped her breasts, lifting them for Sean’s viewing pleasure. A light groan oozed from Sean’s mouth. All three of their bodies moved across the sandy floor of the sea.

The dark lines of their bodies came together, uniting. Sean threaded his fingers through her hair. He moved closer. Meg’s eyes lowered. Sean and Meg’s lips touched, joining. Zane stepped back, his hands sliding over Meg’s breasts, moving to her back, down the interlaced bones of her delicate spine. Zane held her hips. He leaned to the side, watching the kiss advance. Meg angled her head, allowing the kiss to go deeper. Sean’s tongue grazed over her lips, sliding into her waiting mouth. Their lips meshed. Their mouths opened wider in unison, their hunger meeting and matching the appetite of other.

A faint, feminine whine sounded from Meg’s throat. Zane held her body, his teeth clamping down on the wet flesh of her shoulder. He spoke in her ear.

“So hot, Meg. You’re beautiful. Take him, baby, anything you want…I’ll help you.”

They left the water, easing down into the sand. Zane’s eyes burned, staring, not wanting to miss a second of what was transpiring between them. Sean’s eyes wandered to his. Zane gestured with a nod, giving him free rein to grab hold of every craving he wished to feed.

“This belongs to us, no one else,” Zane said, his tone a gruff whisper.

  Chapter Fifteen

Her skin glistened under the light of the stars and moon. Her sleepy eyes and sensual curves, the feel of her flawless body had his pulse pounding in his ears. The world around them receded into the night.

Zane’s hands moved over Meg’s breasts, her nipples beading into raised points. His mouth watered. Zane held her breasts, as if wanting to feed her to him. He ran his palm down the slope of her hip, lowering his mouth. He kissed the firm swell of her breast, his eyes falling closed in ecstasy. His free hand wandered, finding the other. Zane’s hands moved away as Sean’s took over. He twirled her hardened nipple between his fingers. Her chest rose beneath his face, fighting for air. Meg held his head, guiding him through the motions. Her fingers threaded through the strands of his hair, lightly pulling as the eroticism of it all had her rising to new heights.

Sean pressed his face into her, her breast pillowing against his mouth. His tongue slowly circled. He pulled her soft flesh into his mouth, his eyes rolling back. He suckled her, drawing her in. Meg’s words of praise had him trembling in delight.

“Oh, Sean…” She sighed, arching into him. “I want you so much.” Her voice was meek and needy. His legs folded. He fell to his knees in awe. His hands slipped over her skin in tactile exploration. He wanted to know every inch of her, how she felt, smelled, and tasted. He could smell the briny sea on her skin, mixing with her distinct scent. The wet sand adhered to his knees. The wind picked up, blowing a chilled pocket between them. Sean’s eyes burned in the breeze. He pinched them closed, wanting to ensure it was all real.

When he opened them, Zane was on his knees behind Meg. Her willowy figure stood between them. Zane’s palm rested on her taut navel, his other fingers wrapped around her hip. Zane’s fingers eased through the creases of her pussy, beckoning him. Sean shuddered in wonder. He leaned into her, grazing his cheek over the flesh of her flat abdomen. He gently opened her folds, as if he was peeling back the layers of a delicate, delectable fruit. What had once been considered forbidden was now being offered up to him. Zane’s panting breaths rode the gusts of the sea breeze.

The scent of her sent him into a whirlwind. He was dizzy with euphoria. Sean touched her with the tip of his tongue. Her flavor raced through him, taking over his senses. Her thighs widened. He pressed his mouth on her, kissing her clit. His tongue moved cautiously through her smooth, intimate tissues.

Her voiced pleasures rang out above him. “Oh, God, yes, right there.”

Sean tipped his head. His eyes moved up her body. Meg’s head fell back, her face slack. Her tongue swiped over her lips. When she cupped her breasts and began fondling herself, Sean felt his eyes widen, drying in the briny breeze. He was delirious, riding some sort of high that had no name. Her salty cream flooded his mouth with every pass of his tongue. Her soft moans and murmurs of surprise had him entranced. Her hips twitched, her cries a sweet sound he’d only ever fantasized about.

“I’m coming, oh, God, that’s so nice.” Her breath hitched. Sean steadied her hips. He knew Zane was right there, watching their pleasure. Through his lowered lashes he could see Zane’s cock. He was rubbing up against the back of Meg’s calves. Meg’s pussy pulsated in his mouth, flooding him with more of her. Her body stilled. Sean leaned back on his heels, her eyes heavy. He stood, his head swimming with the thrill. He was already addicted.

Zane rose to his feet, nuzzling her from behind, speaking softly to her.

“Was it good, baby? Does he do it good for you, too?” He licked the shell of her ear.

Meg smiled, her eyes ignited. “Make love to me,” she begged. “Let me have you, both of you.”

“We could save some things for next time.” Zane kissed her neck from behind.

“We will.” Meg dropped down to her knees. Her spine curled as she lifted her ass. Sean was jumping out of his skin. His cock was a solid rod, stiff with pain. He held himself in his hand, unsure if it was up to him to relieve himself. He was letting them set the pace. He’d do whatever they wanted. He licked his lips, savoring the last of Meg’s essence. He stroked his cock as Zane lowered behind Meg. He petted her ass. His other hand reached in front, moving through her pussy. She spread her legs, raising her ass higher.

“Please.” She met Zane’s eyes over her shoulder. Zane parted her cheeks, guiding his cock into her. He thrust deep, pushing her knees into the sand.

“God, yes.” She released a throaty cry. Her eyes leveled to his. She leaned on one hand and motioned Sean closer with a curled finger.

  * * * *

She was spinning in a sensual whirlwind, a chaos of desire. The way Sean had pleasured her, his mouth so soft and gentle. His actions were polite, taking nothing for granted. He stood over her, as she had him. His hard flesh filled her eyes, his knees dotted with sand. His cock reached for her, his shaft hard and arcing. Zane’s pace slowed. His cock slid in and out of her pussy. She was so wet. Zane reached around her, the pad of his finger pressing on her clit. Sean’s damp, earthy smell filled her nose. The tip of his cock was leaking with arousal. Meg stretched her neck, dying to sample him. She’d never felt such adoration. Meg looked up, meeting the fire in Sean’s eyes. Sean held his cock and ran it along her lips. Meg lapped at the soft head. His rich tang had her mouth pooling. She lapped at his shaft, licking it from top to bottom before taking his cock into her mouth. A purring groan escaped into the air above. She drew him in, pulling him in deep. Meg quickened the pace to match Sean’s urge, an urge she knew he’d smothered time and time again. She wanted to unleash him. The sand bit into her knees, scraping over her skin as she moved.
