Annabelle's Angst: NEW ADULT CONTEMPORARY SUSPENSE ROMANCE Page 21

by Bree Branigan

He pulled her into him and aimed his pulsating erection into her slick pussy. She exclaimed in delight as he lifted her up and down atop him, his dick invading her pussy persistently. She was frenziedly riding him, going faster and faster as pinpoints of exquisite pleasures spread throughout her body and his. They moved together like one raging tornado, stronger and faster; their bodies sweating and glistening as she galloped crazily and he brought her down hard into his engorged rod.

She gave out a wild animalistic howl and ground her muff deeply into his throbbing dong, as waves and waves of mind-blowing orgasm overwhelmed her. He climaxed at the same time, his body juddering in pleasure as his semen was ejected in great spurts inside her spastic hole. Ohmygod!!

Sarah lowered her head onto his chest and they remained joined at the hips for several minutes before they separated.

“You aren’t going yet?” Sarah asked anxiously, closely looking at his face.

“I’ll stay for a while,” he reassured her, caressing her face, and kissing her lips. “Don’t wake up.” I don’t know where to go!

Kevin pillowed her head with one arm and drew her inside the circle of his two arms. “May I ask a favor?” he stated, hopeful.

“Yeah, of course, what is it?”

“Please, claim my body and cremate it.”

  “I will,” she was teary-eyed.

“And scatter my ashes on the spot where I fell,” he requested.

  “I will,” she wept.

“Thank you. Now, continue sleeping,” he mumbled.

“Will I see you again? she sobbed.

“I won’t go, until I’ve said my last goodbye.”

Kevin watched as Sarah continued to slumber, her face calm and joyful. What would tomorrow bring to their relationship? Were they entitled to happiness even if they belonged to different worlds? He dared not think about the answers yet.

In the morning, Sarah woke up and looked around her, obviously wondering if what happened the previous night was real. She groped her body and knew instinctively that the event last night was real, as far as she was concerned. She was fucked properly and her body was radiating with sexual contentment, without a doubt.

Kevin lay right next to her, but he knew he was invisible and that no matter what he said, she couldn’t hear him in her fully conscious state.

But he greeted her cheerily anyway, “Good morning, sleepy head,” he gave her a sloppy kiss.

“Are you somewhere near?” Sarah faced in his direction, her sight unfocused.

She knows I’m here. Kevin clapped his hands in glee. “Yup, I’m right in front of you,” he grinned.

“I’m going to the morgue today. Tag along if you want.”

She quickly showered and got dressed in a simple, pleated pink dress that emphasized her stunning figure.

Kevin stayed beside her at all times during the day. She claimed his body and scheduled him for cremation. She stood beside his lifeless form for almost an hour, staring at his sallow injured face, spilling sad tears for himself. There was a lump in his throat as he viewed the despondent scene before him. What will her life be like when I’m gone? he wondered silently. I forgot to tell her where my money is. Damn it!

His face brightened though when Sarah uttered softly, “I know you’re here with me. Don’t worry about the bill; I’m a rich man’s daughter.”

Kevin laughed out loud, guffawing until his mouth went sore. This woman has a sense of humor.

“I guess you’re laughing right now,” she declared, grinning from ear to ear, a teardrop still glistening in her eye. “I wish I could hear you laugh.”

  “Me too.”

After they left the morgue, Sarah went back to the spot where Kevin’s accident had happened.

The roadway ran close to the rocky embankment. Below them waves lapped the shore. “This is where it all happened,” Sarah said, knowing he was there. “I was so depressed that day. Jack, my long-time partner, had dumped me for another woman.” Her voice croaked. She was close to tears. “Man, here I am crying again.” She hurriedly wiped her tears with the back of her hands.

Kevin rubbed her back, his hand floating through her body. “Cry baby,” he teased her.

“And now, you’re gone too,” she snuffled.

“Hey, I’ll wait for you there,” he comforted her, wrapping his lightweight arms around her.

“Can I just commit suicide so we can be together?” she declared boldly.

“God, no, no!” Kevin exclaimed in alarm. “Don’t ever do that.”

Sarah seemed to hear him. “Alright, I’ll think about it.”

“Never, ever do that,” Kevin insisted earnestly.

That night, Sarah prepared a simple meal of steak, a tossed salad and baked potato. She poured herself a glass of red wine, set two places at her little table, and pretended that she was eating with Kevin.

“When they’ll cremate your body tomorrow, I guess you’ll be gone too,” she deduced. “So, stay with me tonight, my love,” she pleaded. She ate slowly, drank her wine, speaking to him, crying, smiling, pouring her heart out to her unseen lover. “See you in my dreams.”

After clearing the table, and washing the dishes, slowly, languorously, Sarah took a sleeping pill and went to bed early, wearing her favorite sexy negligee. She hoped to be with Kevin for as long as she could.

She was asleep within minutes, her spirit soaring with eagerness and elation. “Where are you, love?” she yelled into the opened world of her dreams.

Kevin observed her for a while before joining her in her dream.

“Right here, babe,” he drowned her in his sweet kisses, savoring her tasty lips and tongue.

“I’ve been with you all day. You’re naughty,” he expressed his observation.

“Well, you left me no choice.” She pinched him playfully in the abdomen. “Requesting this and that, without leaving a single cent.”

“Sorry,” he kissed her on her forehead. “My mistake. You can use my card. The PIN is found in the small notebook inside my safe. I’ll write down the combination of my safe back home, tomorrow.”

“That’s unnecessary,” she quipped. “I’m not a pauper.”

“Then get the money and donate it to charity. I’m not as rich as you are, but it can help. I don’t have any relatives or close friends to give it to.” He kissed her more passionately on the lips.

She paused to answer him, “Sure, if that’s what you want.” She returned his kiss and stopped once again, “We’re somewhat similar, you know. I don’t have close friends either, but I have a loving father, who spoils me a lot.”

“If I don’t come to you in your dreams starting tomorrow, don’t despair,” he brushed his lips against Sarah's. “I want you to live a full life. You’ve given me more happiness than I’ve ever known before. Time is relative. And lives run quickly. Live yours to the fullest. I will be here when you have lived a long and happy one.”

  “Stop saying that,” she protested.

  “Please, please don’t commit suicide.”

“If I can’t stand the loneliness, I will,” she retorted adamantly.

“That could lessen the chances of us being together. I’m not religious, but it’s good to be cautious.”

“Cut the crap,” she reprimanded him. “Let’s not talk about that yet.” She undressed him gradually, kissing every inch of his exposed skin.

He grabbed her and straddled her, stripping her negligee, and pulling her undergarments down. He was already erect; his angry schlong was turned upwards, eager.

With his arms supporting his weight, he covered her body with his and started thrusting his hardness into her. He bent and sucked her breasts alternately as he humped her in deep, powerful strokes, savoring her softness. She was juicy and delectable, Kevin thought. How could his spirit be so lusty?

Sarah muttered and moaned delightedly, her body following his rod upwards as he pulled up to penetrate her once again.

  “Fuck me, harder, harder, pl
ease,” she clawed at his back with her fingers, while he plunged into the soft folds of her craving pussy – continually - like a ravenous sex maniac.

His breath became ragged. She breathed heavily as they moved up and down in a frantic beat that only their bodies understood. They went on and on, their speed increasing and their bodies desperate for gratification. Millions of pleasure nerves ignited inside their bodies and the universe of enjoyment revolved only around the two of them.

They both moaned as the building pressure of sensual delights in both of their bodies erupted. They shuddered together as they climaxed simultaneously – again!

“Oooooooooooh,” Sarah clung to him, nibbling his neck as the sweet sensations swept her entire body.

Kevin jammed his dick into her and held her in that position as he ejaculated. He could feel her crack contracting and pressing his manhood. “Aaaaah,” he growled, as he shoved one last time with all his power and might. “You’re so slick and yummy.” He slumped forward and kissed her, his chest squeezing her boobs not so gently. Then he rolled over to her side with a contented sigh.

“Promise me, you’ll wait for me,” Sarah turned towards him, her eyes glistening with unshed tears.

“I promise,” Kevin said. “And promise me too that you’ll endure everything until we meet again.”

“I will,” Sarah murmured burying her head into his well-muscled chest. “Goodbye, Kevin. Wait for me.”

“Goodbye, babe. I love you,” he responded in return.

  “I love you too.”

Sarah’s sleep was dreamless that night. Kevin memorized every detail of her face and her body as he watched her sleeping. Would they meet again? Would acknowledging his death be his last conscious thought after his body was finally cremated and scattered along the coast? Was there really life after death? All of these questions rushed through his mind as he watched Sarah’s tranquil face.

When morning came, Sarah dressed in a simple black dress and proceeded to the funeral home. Kevin was right behind her.

“Goodbye, my love,” she whispered to the wind.

“Till we meet again,” Kevin watched her, his heart full of longing.

Sarah stirred and smiled through her tears. She stood silently weeping as Kevin’s body was reduced to ashes.

Kevin stared at his body as it slowly disappeared from his sight.

When they handed Sarah the small urn, she felt a heaviness in her chest, realizing that all that remained of Kevin’s body was inside that small container. She felt a presence, but was it only wishful thinking? “May you rest in peace,” she mumbled, tears running down her cheeks.

  Chapter 9

Later that week, Sarah’s lawyer called to inform her that her trial would begin sooner than expected. “Don’t worry; you had no intention of inflicting harm, you were not under the influence of drugs or alcohol. We have a good chance.”

Sarah, however, was apathetic, and filled with guilt. She had taken a life. A life she grew to love. She deserved to pay. How many years would she spend in jail? She would rather be with Kevin. Perhaps, it was better for her to end her life right then and there. She trembled when she imagined her lifeless body being towed from the briny sea.

You promised, an inner voice warned her.

As she trudged to the beach, her footsteps were heavy and faltering. The sea breeze played on her face, as her feet carried her towards the water. She was in a daze; the waves seemed to beckon to her invitingly. Wading on, unmindful of the swirling water around her she cried, “I’m coming, love.” She swam beyond exhaustion, willing herself to drown, trying to keep her head under water.

“Hey, Sarah” a voice shouted behind her.

Strong, sinewy arms grabbed her from behind. Her lawyer’s worried face towered above her. “The water is wild today. You could drown!”

Ted carried Sarah to her cabin, laying her on her bed. She shivered violently, gasping and crying as she sobbed out her heart-break.

“Take a hot shower. I have something to tell you,” Ted commanded her, his face inscrutable.

Rising slowly, almost in a trance, Sarah did as she was told. The hot water rejuvenated her, and when she wrapped herself in a thick robe she felt human again. A cup of teeming hot coffee was set on the table when she sat down across from her lawyer.

“We’ll plead for involuntary manslaughter and apply for probation. I might change the plea later.” He stood, holding his cup of coffee. “Don’t ever do that again,” he snarled at her. “Trust me. Time heals. You will be all right.”

He carefully placed his cup on the table. He cast a warning look at her and left without waiting for her response.

Sarah threw a weary glance at the expanse of fine, gray sand before her window. Oh, how she missed Kevin. Kevin, where are you? She asked inwardly, knowing there would be no answer. I want to die!

Kevin’s face and words flashed before her eyes, “And promise me too that you’ll endure everything until we meet again.”

She ran to her bed and grieved for the love she had lost.

Later that month, Sarah was charged with involuntary manslaughter. She was given a twelve-month probation. For a long while she only existed, living day-by-day like an automaton, working long hours as a civil litigation lawyer, and doing community service, volunteering with palliative patients. She began to see death as a new phase of life; one that she would meet in her own time.

“Kevin, I miss you,” she sighed in her bed at night. “But I’m living my life as you asked me to. And I will live it to the fullest”. He no longer came to her in dreams.

  Afterward

One day, years later Sarah knelt, placing flowers beneath the rocks that Kevin had toppled over that fateful day. She had offered flowers there every year since his death. Standing, she gingerly picked her way through the rocks on the embankment up to the roadway. As she solemnly crossed, head down, tears falling, a speeding vehicle suddenly slammed into her. The force catapulted her body up into the air and out into the rocky waters below the road. It was the exact bend where her car had hit Kevin, twenty-four years earlier.

“Fuck, I just hit someone,” the man at the wheel screamed, slamming on his brakes, too late. “Where did she come from?”

He jumped out of the car, and rushed to the edge of the road. Looking down, he saw the unconscious body of a middle-aged-woman, floating in the shallow waters.

“Quick, call 911!” he shouted racing back to his car, shaking his buddy, asleep in the back seat.

The sirens of the ambulance screamed, closely followed by a police car within a few minutes. Paramedics rushed down the embankment, and Sarah, her body mangled badly, was given first aid before she was placed on a stretcher and taken to the nearest health facility.

“Is she alive?” the badly-shaken driver asked the paramedics anxiously.

“She is. Time will tell,” he answered curtly.

When Sarah came to, she was blinded by dazzling lights around her. She remembered reaching the top of the rocks and seeing the road, but no memory came after that. Was she in heaven? There was a tremendous pain her chest, she tried to speak but nothing came out of her lips. God, please take away this excruciating pain, she prayed.

Masked faces hovered all around her, their gloved hands rendering more pain than she could bear. Then she saw a familiar face that made her pain dissipate slowly.

  Her eyes met Kevin’s.

His radiant face shone above all the others. He was smiling broadly, blissfully extending his hand to her.

“You’ve come at last, babe,” the most melodious voice echoed in Sarah’s mind. “Come.”

Sarah was overjoyed. She grabbed his hand. The two of them hovered above her body. She looked down and saw the doctor trying to resuscitate her. She prayed fervently that they allow her to die peacefully. “Please, let me die.”

Kevin beamed at her jubilantly, “Don’t worry, we’re going home.”

After thirty minutes the doctor sto
pped. “Time of death is 11:47 a.m. July 15, 2040, he announced, sadly.”

Sarah’s spirit soared, and her happiness was boundless. “Let’s go, my love,” she kissed Kevin and savored his presence.

Their lips met hungrily, as they drifted and merged with the essence of Mother Nature all around them. She felt his fingers on the small of her back, pulling her closer. She shivered at his touch. It’s been such a long, long time … His mouth was on her throat, burning her skin with every kiss, while his hands teased her hardening nipples. He tasted like sugar and cinnamon. Now his hands explored all her contours, as if he couldn’t get enough of her. His mouth was soft and sensuous, while his tongue rampaged across her teeth. Then he was kissing the curve of her neck. His hand slid up her back, trailing soft-lipped kisses down her throat to her breasts. Her nipples tingled as he nibbled and nuzzled. She looked deeply into his eyes, dark with desire. Sighing, she threw her head back, begging him to ravish her. Her body had never felt more tingly and alive.
