“Sarah,” he repeated her name in breathy whispers. His hot breath warmed her skin. As he caressed and stroked every curve and crevice of her body she felt completely cherished. She ached for him. Slowly, he slid down her body, kissing and loving it with his lips, his tongue, his sensuous hands, until he reached her vulva. Slipping his agile tongue inside he tickled her clit until she writhed and screamed in a frenzy.
“Please!” Her voice was ragged. She needed him inside her now!
Cradling her in his strong arms, he slid his body upward, letting his penis rest in her slit, further tormenting her. Thrusting her groin into him, she wrapped her legs around his body, urging him on. As he slid into her, the ecstasy was almost unbearable. His mouth crushed hers in a searing kiss. Compressing and releasing, she matched the swift thrusts and piston-like motion of his hips, consumed with rapture. Again, they came together, and clung to one another wanting never to let go. “It is you. It’s you. It’s you…” he murmured, as tears of joy filled her eyes.
Birds twittered, a stream gurgled softly nearby. Sarah felt a soft, warm breeze brush her face. She felt the sun on her body. The air felt warm and balmy, and the grass below them was soft and lush. They were in heaven, indeed.
THE END
Perilous Passion
Chapter 1
Lauren hid behind the shadows of the large bin outside the hospital, her lovely face contorted in fear, her luscious breasts heaving.
“Tap, tap, tap,” the sound of incoming footsteps echoed in the stillness of the night.
Oh God, please save me, she cried silently. She was drenched with sweat, and tears filled her eyes, shining large and luminous in the shadows.
The footsteps broke into a run, coming closer to her hideout. She cringed and huddled farther into the darkness. Please, God, help me!
The heavy footsteps stopped close to her for one interminable minute, and then proceeded forward again, in measured steps.
“Come out now, sweetie, I won’t hurt you,” the man cajoled in a low, raspy voice.
Lauren clamped her mouth with her own hands to stifle a cry. Her teeth were chattering so violently that she was afraid he could hear them.
But the footsteps continued to move forward until they faded away in the direction of the main street.
Lauren collapsed beside the bin and cried soundlessly with relief and exhaustion. That was a close call! Why had she ventured into something that was none of her business?
Early that morning, she had accidentally discovered a masked man trying to inject a vial of potassium chloride into a cancer patient’s intravenous fluid. She’d been on-duty for the night shift as a nurse at the Robertson Medical Center, when she’d happened to pass by the cancer ward. That was when she saw the masked man. Excessive levels of potassium chloride in the bloodstream could cause heart problems and eventual death, she knew.
“What are you doing?” she had cried upon seeing the vial he was aspirating.
“None of your business! Go away before I slit your throat,” the man declared menacingly. A sharp stiletto materialized in his hands. His voice was evidently disguised.
Despite her fright, she had the strength to push the man away from the patient. He turned to attack her, and there was nothing she could do but run out of the hospital.
Lauren shuddered at the memory of the gleaming, sharp blade. He might return anytime, she reminded herself. Quickly, she dialed the police’s emergency number and ran back to the nurses’ quarters. There was no one there. It was 3 a.m. and everyone had either gone home or was on duty. She locked the door and cowered inside until the cops came.
The CCTV revealeda tall, well-built man, but there was no way of identifying him because his face was totally covered. He seemed to know where the CCTVs were since he avoided them, expertly, navigating his way through the strategically positioned cameras. But his evil plan had been thwarted by Lauren’s unexpected appearance.
“He could be an insider,” the amiable cop stated. “He knew how to evade the cameras. Anyway, we’ll be in touch with you after we have investigated thoroughly.”
They interrogated her about the incident until she was ready to drop with fatigue. Finally, they escorted her home, instructing her to lock up properly.
“We’ll be patrolling this area more often. Don’t worry. If you notice something suspicious, don’t hesitate to call us immediately,” the cop reminded Lauren.
“Thank you. I will,” she said, grateful for the reassurance.
She wasn’t able to sleep that night, though. Tossing and turning, she recalled the man’s menacing pupils and his obviously disguised, threatening voice.
Chapter 2
The following evening brightened for Lauren. Her two favorite doctors, both hot and charming, were on duty. Each was uniquely gorgeous, in his own way. Dr. Bryan Anderson, tall, burly, with auburn hair and warm brown eyes, was jovial and fun. He made everyone laugh, patients and staff alike. Dr. David White, also very sexy, was more serious, hardworking and dedicated.
“Good evening,” Lauren greeted Dr. Bryan Anderson with a bright smile. He was one of her favorite doctors because there was no single, sad moment with him.
“Here comes my sunbeam,” Bryan grinned at her. “Can I join you for dinner today?”
“Sure, why not?” Lauren replied gladly.
“See you then.” He winked at her and sauntered out of the room.
Later on, Lauren did the rounds with Dr. David White. The sight of him made Lauren palpitate. He barely smiled and his words were short and concise so that the nurses and medical interns were all walking on egg shells whenever he was around. But he was a brilliant doctor. His diagnoses were usually on point, and that body . . . and the way he looked at her . . .
“Ms. Thompson should be on NPO tonight for chemistry work-up tomorrow,” he looked at Lauren with his soulful blue eyes and Lauren’s heart melted. He’s so damn hot! she thought. “Request a lipid panel, FBS, BUA, BUN and Creatinine.”
“Anything else, Doctor?” Lauren inquired; her eyes glittering in adoration.
“Repeat RU and CBC,” he added.
After the rounds, it was past dinner time and Lauren proceeded to the hospital’s cafeteria where Bryan was waiting. “Sorry for being late. I had to assist Dr. White with his rounds.”
“No worries,” Bryan chuckled and put an arm around her, “You’re here now.”
“Bryan, we’re in public,” she rebuked him playfully.
“Then tomorrow. Shall we meet outside this place for lunch?” he asked. Lauren was drawn to him, but she was unsure. “C’mon sunbeam,” he murmured.
“Okay.” Lauren gave in.
“Fetch you at 11!”
The night progressed without a hitch. There was a by-pass operation, but Lauren was not an OR nurse, so she just assisted during the pre and post op tasks. She was looking forward to her date with Bryan. She had managed to put the horrible incident from the previous night into the back of her mind. However, when she was passing through the cancer ward on her way out, she discovered that the patient, who had nearly died, was no longer there.
“Excuse me, where’s the patient from bed 19?” she asked the staff nurse on duty.
“He’s been transferred.”
“Where to?” she inquired again, a niggling fear surfacing in her mind.
“You’ll have to check the charts. I wasn’t on duty when he was transferred.”
Lauren shivered at the memory of the incident. Was the patient okay? she asked herself. She went in search of the head nurse.
“Where was the patient from 19 transferred to?” Lauren queried earnestly.
“He was transferred to a private ward, which I can’t disclose. It’s classified information,” the head nurse replied.
Maybe because of the attempted homicide, Lauren reasoned. Thank god he’s safe!. She hurried to the nurses’ quarters and took a quick shower. It was easier for her to go out for lunch with Bryan if she slept there.

When she awoke, she dressed carefully for her date with Bryan. She allowed her long, blonde hair to hang smoothly on her shoulders and donned a silky, sleeveless dress with a flowing skirt. A pair of strapless high heels completed her outfit. After an exhausting shift, she felt human again.
“My sunbeam looks radiant,” Bryan greeted her at the door with a kiss on the cheek. He was fun to be with. Just what the doctor called for, right now!
Bryan took her to the most expensive diner in town. “Don’t refuse,” he warned her.
And so they wined and dined, enjoying each other’s company, talking about funny events in their hospital lives.
“I heard you had an incident the other night,” Bryan said, concerned.
“Well, there was this masked guy trying to inject potassium chloride into a patient’s IV in the cancer ward,” she responded.
Bryan was obviously shocked. “Don’t they have any clues as to who the man was?”
“None. I was so terrified I can’t remember much.”
“That’s a pity. We could have nailed the psycho.”
“I hate even thinking about it!” Lauren shivered, instinctively moving towards Bryan.
He stood and moved to sit beside her, pressing his body close to hers. “I’m here, always. Run to me whenever you’re scared,” he whispered.
The mood changed afterwards. Bryan didn’t let go of her hand until they were inside his car. He caught her mouth with his own. Lauren had no time to reject the kiss. One of his hands crept to her breasts, fondling her nipples until they grew hard and erect, while the other hand went between her thighs, caressing them up to the patch between her legs.
Although Lauren’s heart and mind were rejecting his advances, her body responded. He was an expert, strumming her body with his fingers until she was mad with desire. He slid his fingers underneath her panties and was now flicking her clit with light, incessant strokes.
Lauren moaned.
“You like that, sunbeam?”
“Mmmmhmmm,’ Lauren sighed with delight.
Her body was hot with the flames of yearning. She felt like it was being assailed by a thousand pin-prick pleasurable sensations coming from her pussy, and spreading toward her extremities. She didn’t want him to stop. Her tongue was being sucked by him, while her love hole, and her tits were also being fondled by his expert fingers.
Bryan groaned and was just starting to undress her within the narrow confines of the car, when there was a knock on the car’s window, “Excuse me, helloooo.” They parted breathless, their bodies on fire. “Helloooo,” the knock persisted.
Bryan opened the window, “Yes?”
It was the diner’s valet, “If you’re not leaving sir, you can use the parking lot.”
“No, no, we’re leaving,” Bryan said, starting the car.
Bryan groped for Lauren’s thigh as he drove, but she stopped him.
“Can you take me home now?” she blurted out. “Let’s call it a day.”
“Why?’ he asked, confused. “We have just started. We can go to your house or mine.”
“No, I’m sorry for encouraging you,” Lauren apologized, feeling depressed for allowing herself to be seduced. Deep in her heart, she was not sure yet of her feelings. Being a virgin at age twenty-one, she had vowed that she would only surrender her virginity to a person she truly loved. And she wasn’t sure yet about her feelings for Bryan. She’d gotten carried away by his sexual expertise, arousing her dormant desires.
“Damn, this is frustrating,” Bryan hit the window beside him, angrily. “You’re a tease.”
“I’m sorry,” Lauren said under her breath and opened the door.
She went home and locked up, regretting giving in to Bryan’s advances.
Chapter 3
Still on night duty that evening, Lauren slept the whole afternoon, waking only to eat and get ready for work.
She reported to work alert and rejuvenated, hoping not to meet Bryan. She was still embarrassed by her surrender and sudden change of tune. Brushing her hair inside her cap, she walked confidently to the pediatric ward where she was assigned. But a commotion in the corridor stopped her in her tracks. She ran towards the din and heard cries of surprise.
“He was just fine a few minutes ago,” a patient’s guardian was crying.
On the bed, a doctor and a nurse were resuscitating the patient. Lauren noticed that the patient was in bed 19, where she had seen the intruder injecting potassium chloride into the intravenous. With her heart pounding wildly, she approached the bed and surreptitiously glanced at the patient’s chart. She watched as the health team scrambled to revive the patient, but after several attempts, he was declared dead. Perhaps, he was a victim of the masked man? She wondered.
“Sir, can we request a post-mortem blood test for potassium?” she nervously asked the doctor.
“What’s your reason for that specific request?”
“It was in this same bed that I had caught an intruder trying to inject the patient with potassium chloride,” Lauren gushed in one breath.
“I see. Okay, we’ll have to look into that,” the doctor on duty acquiesced, looking puzzled.
Lauren shuffled away to the pediatric ward. She felt depressed and helpless. Why couldn’t she remember anything about the criminal? She was the key to finding the culprit. Apparently, the investigators were still not able to progress with their inquiry in the absence of fingerprints, vital CCTV clues and sufficient witnesses.
She was so deep in thought that she didn’t notice David standing beside her. He snapped his fingers in front of her face, “Earth calling Nurse Richards,” he chanted.
It was unusual for him to be bantering, and Lauren was amused. “It seems you woke up on the right side of the bed, doctor,” she declared playfully.
David’s face went back to being inscrutable. “We’ve got a busy night ahead of us, so gather your wits about you, nurse,” he drawled.
“Yes, sir,” Lauren replied, her spirits lifted. Although, David was not as amiable as Bryan, he was a good doctor and had cared for his patients, always going that extra mile for them. There were several times in the past that Laura caught him doing house calls for indigent patients - for free. That made a significant impression on her and she secretly worshipped the ground he walked on, alert to his commands and instructions.
During her night shift, she was called to report to Dr. Roy Barnes, the director of the cancer ward.
“I’m conducting research on cancer drugs,’ he revealed to Lauren. “Do you want to be a part of it?”
“I would have to ask my supervisor,” Lauren replied, wary of repercussions.
“That won’t be necessary. I’ve already asked permission from the chief.”
“If that’s the case, then yes, I would like to be part of your team,” she was interested in the project. Her mother had died of cancer and she wanted to be of help in discovering its cure.
“We’ll have another meeting after work in the conference room
,” he informed her.
It was 7:30 a.m. when the research team finally gathered in the conference room, drawn and tired.
Dr. Roy Barnes got straight to the point. “Our team will be responsible for the trial testing of ‘cancerase’, a new drug meant to cure cancer. I want you to find volunteers who would be willing to undergo the entire process. There should be voluntary consent of the patient and all family members for the use of the drug. We have already five existing volunteers, but unfortunately, one died this morning and one has been transferred,” Roy stated, sadly. “We still have three patients but I would like you to invite more - as many as you can.”
Lauren felt her eyelids drooping.
“Alright, that’s all for today. I know you all need a good sleep. Feel free to contact me anytime.” Dr. Roy Barnes provided his numbers to the rest of the research team; Dr. John Hope, a medical technologist, and another nurse.
“You almost fell off your chair,” Roy teas
ed Lauren.
“Huh? Sorry,” she apologized, “I’m dead tired.”
“I understand. I should have scheduled the meeting this evening before your next duty,” he patted her back, comfortingly. “Any news about the intruder?” he shifted gears.
