He interrupted her protests with another hard kiss.

Akeen swept Cora up in his arms when she finished unlocking her apartment door.

  “Hey! What are you doing?”

“Showing you how I will carry you over the threshold once we are finally married. Of course, it’ll be in my quarters at the palace in Ismallia. You will live like a princess in my family’s castle.”

She would say yes. Eventually. He wouldn’t leave America until she agreed to become his wife and return home with him.

“Please carry me directly to the bedroom. I’m very tired.”

“You’re not going to sleep yet. Not until I’ve ravished you thoroughly.” He carried her into the bedroom and laid her atop the covers.

“Wait. The doorman will be up at any moment with my luggage,” she said, starting to get up.

He stilled her movement and said, “I’ll go meet him. You stay here.”

  “Thank you.”

He met the doorman and tipped him, then sat Cora’s suitcases in the hallway. He’d bought his ticket at the last minute and, therefore, hadn’t brought anything of his own. It felt strangely liberating to leave his homeland with nothing but the clothes on his back and his wallet. All the other times he’d traveled internationally, it had been to accompany his father on trips to visit the leaders of other nations, and the amount of planning and packing that had gone into such travels had nearly driven him mad. With a spring in his step, he returned to the bedroom in search of his soon-to-be bride.

The minute she said yes, he would arrange for a quick wedding in his homeland.

They’d known each other for less than a week, but it was long enough to recognize she was the perfect woman for him. His match in every way. Whatever it took, he would get her to say yes when he finally popped the question.

When he entered the bedroom, he found Cora sprawled naked atop the covers, feigning sleep. The smile that twitched on her lips revealed she was faking. He kicked off his shoes and stripped off his clothing, eager to join her and release all his pent up sexual energy.

He’d felt her up under the blanket on the plane, and she’d stuck her hands down his pants a few times, but despite all his grandstanding, neither of them had been able to come in the middle of the crowded airplane.

Cora had claimed stage fright, and he couldn’t endure more than several strokes to his cock without groaning his pleasure aloud, her little warm hand had felt that fucking good.

  Now the wait was over.

Fisting his cock in one hand, he approached her sleeping form, his mind racing with all the naughty things he wanted to do to her. First, he had to taste her. The scent of her arousal had driven him insane with lust on the plane.

Grabbing her ankles, he yanked her further down on the bed and forced her thighs apart. Before her eyes fluttered open, he had his tongue circling her clit. He peeked at her over the smooth expanse of her stomach to find her expression one of euphoria. He splayed her folds apart and plunged two fingers in and out of her tightness while he continued teasing her clit, making her writhe and moan against his mouth. Her little whimpers and moans were music to his ears.

When she tensed, as if her orgasm was approaching, he immediately withdrew his fingers from her wet channel and sat back. A frustrated noise emitted from her throat, and her equally annoyed stare, told him she’d been only a second away from a release.

“You can come when my cock is buried deep in your tight pussy, Cora.”

Need flared in her blue depths and she parted her legs further in invitation. Then her eyes widened in alarm, as if she’d just remembered something important. She reached into the drawer of her bedside table, pulled out a condom, and tossed it in his direction with a sassy look. He tore open the packet and wasted no time in sheathing himself. Fuck, he was so beside himself with the want of her that he’d nearly forgotten the need for protection.

The idea of putting a baby in her appealed, though. As soon as they were married, he would insist on pumping her full of his seed every day, until her stomach swelled with their child.

Her chest rose and fell rapidly with her quick breaths, and he straddled her and cupped her breasts for a moment, before settling his cock at her entrance and grabbing hold of her hips.

“Here’s another taste of what you’ll experience on our wedding day, and every day afterward,” he said smugly, before thrusting into her pussy.

  Fuck yes.

She was all tight perfection and velvety warmth, wrapped around his straining cock.

“Or you could stay in New York and we could live in sin.” Her face contorted with pleasure as he drove in and out of her with increasing speed. “You can be my live-in boy toy.”

“You’ll”—hard thrust—“say yes”—deep plunge—“very soon.” His vision started to blur. Fuck, he was close to exploding already. He slowed for several moments, not wanting to come until she’d cried out her pleasure. “Admit it. I’m your dream man. Handsome. Exotic. Rich and powerful. Not to mention, large-dicked with the stamina of a god.”

She tried to look unimpressed with his little speech, but her face soon broke out in a smile. “Stamina of a god, you say?” A second later, she contracted the inner walls of her pussy, clamping down so hard on his cock he almost choked from the pleasure. She did it again five more times, in rapid succession.

Confused, he stopped thrusting and tried to gather his self-control.

  “How are you doing that?”

“Doing what?” she asked with a faux innocent look, squeezing his cock once more.

“I’ve half a mind to turn you over my knee and redden your little bottom, you minx. Now answer my question.”

“I take it Ismallian women don’t do their Kegel exercises?”

“I don’t understand,” he said, holding her tighter.

“I’ll explain later. Now finish making love to me.” Her eyes turned serious. “I’m really overjoyed you followed me, by the way. It was so bold and unexpected. Like something out of a movie.”

“When I watched you disappear in the security line, it was as if my whole world went dark. I couldn’t be without you. You’re mine. You’ve been mine since the night we first met.”

Her eyes turned dreamy and she reached for him. He gathered her closer, pressing her head to his chest and embracing her as his release approached.

When she gasped and jerked in his arms, coming undone as she undulated her center against his, the final threads of his control snapped.

Growling his pleasure, he erupted within her tightness and held her close to his heart.

  Right where she belonged.

Becoming Her King by Maggie Ryan

  Chapter One

  Judd

What the hell? My hand slapped around on the nightstand like some fish flopping on the river bank. With my pounding head, far too little sleep, and a heavy weight on my chest, I felt exactly like that poor trout… as if I were gasping for air. Finally connecting with my cell phone, I brought it up to my face. All I saw was a blank screen which made no sense as the incessant buzzing was still audible. When an even louder banging banished any hope of my returning to sleep, I realized it wasn’t my phone… it was the door.

Throwing back the sheet, it took me a second to understand the weight was a head…
a head connected to a woman. But, for the life of me, I couldn’t put a name to the owner of the blonde curls. She gave a little snort as I slid out of bed but didn’t wake. I was halfway across the room when I stopped mid-stride. From the clothing scattered on the floor, including not one but two tiny scraps of lace that passed as panties, it became evident that not only had I not been alone… we weren’t alone. Turning my head at a soft mewl, I watched as a dark head lifted off the pillow on the far right side of the bed and a pale arm reached for the covers I’d tossed aside, drawing them up a naked body… wait, make that two naked bodies. Shaking my head which ached far too much to figure out who the hell was in my bed, I finally reached for the door and yanked it open.

“Stop that fucking banging!” The ungodly glare made it hard to focus on the person standing on the small deck of my trailer. Glare? Why was it so fucking bright? Squinting, I shielded my eyes with my hand.

“Um, I’m sorry, Mr. West, but… um… they sent me to get you.”

  “What? They’re shooting me today?”

  “No, I mean… they’re not… I mean… yes, they’re shooting… well, they were, but no… I mean… they’re not on the set… you know—”

“What I know is that you’re not making any sense. What I don’t know is what the hell you’re doing waking me up in the middle of the fucking night!”

The messenger looked like he—or was it a she—wanted to flee but only cringed at my shout and continued, “Um… it’s not… I mean… they’ve been waiting for you in—”

  “What time is it?”

“What? Oh… it’s almost three, sir.”

No wonder I was so fucking exhausted. I’d gotten what? An hour’s sleep? “You go back and tell them that there is no way in hell I’m going to be riding any damn horse across any fucking prairie in the middle of the fucking night.” Stepping back, I was about to slam the door when a hand reached out and grabbed the edge.

“Please, Mr. West… I meant three o’clock in the afternoon. You know… the middle of the day?”

What? How could that be right? Squinting again, I realized the glare came not from an artificial source given by banks of lights rigged for a movie set, but had been provided by nature herself. The sun was a bright yellow orb in a cloudless blue sky and was definitely at an angle to indicate afternoon. Fuck… I wasn’t only hung-over; I was late as shit.

“Sir, what should I tell them? I mean… about the production meeting? Are you—”

“Tell them I’m coming,” I said, taking a step forward.

“You might want to put some sunscreen on first.”

This suggestion didn’t come from the androgynous gofer sent to pull the star from his trailer. He/she had already fled the scene. Nor was this voice one I didn’t know. Though I hadn’t heard it in years, I knew it… knew it very well. If the persistent buzzing, the loud knocking, the glare of the sun and the conversation hadn’t cleared my head, this voice did.

Still, it took my looking down and seeing those curly red tresses, that oval-shaped face, those green eyes that I knew were flecked with gold, and those perfect lips for my head to finally accept that I wasn’t hallucinating.

“Unless, of course, you don’t care about getting sunburned on your little dainty bits.”

That was something else I remembered. Not the insult—that was new—but the lilting tone in which it was given was very familiar. I’d always known I’d hear a giggle coming right behind the teasing. I didn’t fail to notice that it was missing this time. To be honest, I’d not even realized I had opened the door in nothing but my birthday suit. Still, it wasn’t as if she hadn’t seen me buck naked before or that she wasn’t intimately familiar with my ‘bits’. And I sure as hell wasn’t going to acknowledge the other words she’d used to describe my junk.

  “What are you doing here?”

“If you’d had the decency to show up on time, you’d know. As it is, you’ve kept everyone waiting for hours—”

“Not only did I work late into the night, in case you didn’t know, I’m the star of this shindig, so—”

  “That remains to be seen.”

Now, that tone wasn’t familiar nor was the thinly veiled threat. “What the fuck is that supposed to mean?”

  “It means—”

  “Juddie? Come back to bed.”

“Yeah, darlin’, it’s my turn to ride.”

I didn’t have to glance behind me to know that my bed partner… wait, make that partners, were standing in the doorway. All I had to do was watch the expression that crossed Danielle Connolly’s face a moment before she shook her head and turned away. Fuck! Now that look was one I’d never forget. As I watched her walk towards the doublewide that had been brought out to be used as a production office, two thoughts flashed through my head. First, what man forgot he’d gone to bed with not one but two women? And, why did I suddenly feel not like the hottest star in Hollywood but like the biggest asshole in the world?

  ***

  Danielle

As I made my way back to the production trailer, I wasn’t surprised that I was absolutely furious. I had every right to be. I’d worked my ass off, shut myself away from friends and family, not regretting a single moment because it was the price I was willing to pay to achieve my dream. And when I’d finally turned my cherished ‘word baby’ over to a publisher, I’d spent the next six months wondering why in the world I’d done so. Every day that passed without receiving any news had me worrying that I should have spent more time building my world, changed one more chapter, added another scene, deepened a character’s POV until I was sure that I was a total failure. I’d not only abandoned my baby, I was a total fool to think I had what it took to become an author.

I still remembered the day I answered the phone to learn that it had been accepted. The next six months were spent working with Cheryl Wilkins, the editor assigned to me. The woman had infinite patience and allowed me to do everything I’d worried had been lacking. When the final edit was done, I’d made a point to apologize to her in advance, positive that though the book had been accepted, and she’d poured hundreds of hours of work into it as we’d become good friends, it wouldn’t sell. She had grinned and bet me that I was wrong. When it not only sold, but shot up the NY Times bestseller’s list, I’d been stunned but more than happy to treat her to dinner at the restaurant of her choosing. And when another six months passed and she treated me to lunch, telling me there was a bidding war between studios to turn my novel into a movie, I’d burst into tears and hired her as my agent on the spot.

Tears burned behind my lids, but these were not of joy. I angrily brushed them off my cheeks, hating that I was so freaking emotional, but again, who could blame me? I’d been willing to do anything to see Haven’s Hell come to life, and now it was dying because of Judd West.

Judd West. He’d been Judson Westmoreland when I’d fallen head over heels in love with him. We’d met in college and spent almost every day together… and a great deal of nights as well. We both shared a love of theater and I’d thought a love of each other. But that illusion had shattered the day I’d come back a day early and went to his apartment to surprise him only to find him…

I stopped walking abruptly and gave a choked laugh. Why was I shocked? Hell, I shouldn’t even be surprised. They did say that history had a tendency to repeat itself, and, in this case, whoever ‘they’ are were absolutely correct. The man might have a different name, but that was the only thing that had changed. The last time I’d seen Judd, he’d looked the same… totally naked and totally immune to the fact that he had just broken my heart. So, no, I wasn’t surprised to hear a naked woman calling him back to bed. And, I wasn’t really shocked to see that number was two. It had been two that night as well. He’d never lacked in the sex appeal department. Every female on the planet might consider him the prince of the silver screen, but I knew him for what he was… a total prick.

Well, I was no longer that naïve girl. I was no longer going to stand
back or run away because I’d been thrown for a loop. I was going to pull my big-girl panties up and fight for my dream. And if I got to kick a little Judson ass, that would just be the cherry on top.

  Chapter Two

  Judd

It was worse than I thought as I watched Dani give me a look not a single other woman had ever shot my way. I wasn’t egotistical enough to believe the hype that my agent fed the public. Despite his assurance that every woman on earth wanted me, I knew that was far from the truth. Judd West was not the type of guy a good girl brought home to meet the family. Hell, Judd was the exact type of man a father met at the door with a loaded shotgun.

But I also wasn’t a man who bothered with false modesty. Genetics had graced me with good looks, and I made damn sure I kept myself in great physical shape. I’d learned early on how to play the game, and play it well. Good girls aside, women were not in short supply, and I was not above sampling a wide variety. I was accustomed to seeing barely concealed lust reflected in women’s eyes or the glazed look of sexual gratification after having spent any amount of time with their idol.

The look in Dani’s eyes—eyes the color of the deepest emeralds—had floored me. It was one I’d never even thought of seeing aimed at someone who had everything a man could possibly want: more money than I could spend in a lifetime, women of all shapes, sizes and ages literally throwing themselves at me, not one but two houses I rarely stayed in, recognition everywhere I went, important people bidding for my name to appear on their movie. I wanted for nothing… and I definitely didn’t want the pity I’d seen in the depths of the most beautiful pair of eyes belonging to the best person—the good girl—I’d unwittingly destroyed that night.

It took one hand wrapping around my cock and another cupping my balls to bring me back to the present. Two warm nude bodies pressing against my sides reminded me that I was no longer Judson Westmoreland… that I’d left him behind a long time ago. You’d never find Judd West staring after a woman as she walked away—much less wasting time contemplating his behavior. Snaking an arm around each woman’s waist, I gave them a squeeze.
