He wasn’t what he seemed…
As a chronic worrier, Jodi Weiss has plenty to occupy his mind when he’s abducted, sold, then given to a massive alien with a brutal appearance. Convinced he’ll be used and tossed aside, Jodi is floored when he suspects that Sevaleth doesn’t have any more experience with sex than he does.
Since all Sevaleth Oluwen has known is war, he’s at loose ends when he retires, but then he sees Jodi. Instantly smitten, Sevaleth doesn’t want Jodi in his bed by force, so he embarks on the daunting task of seducing him. The only problem is Sevaleth has no idea how or where to start.
As the two fumble to find their way in the bedroom, strong emotions are sparked. But just when they seem to be falling in love, their idyllic existence is threatened by a warrior hell-bent for glory.

Chapter 1
Jodi Weiss had never been a party animal. He actually enjoyed school and sports. He wasn’t a nerd, and he wasn’t a jock. Jodi pretty much saw himself as a middle-of-the-road kind of guy. His parents were good people who worked hard. They didn’t abuse him or ignore him. If anything, he’d had just about the most normal life in the universe.
Until now.
Jodi was on a stage, naked, with a bunch of other guys he didn’t recognize. The last place he remembered being was at a party, but not a wild college party. It was his best friend’s kid’s birthday party. His best friend had gotten married right after high school and had a son within a year. He was turning two, so there was no way Jodi got hammered at a party where the most dangerous thing on the menu had probably been the sugar-laden cake. According to his mother, over eighteen eggs had gone into the thing along with about ten pounds of sugar. Jodi couldn’t say how good the recipe was since the only thing that had cut into the cake was some kid’s greedy hand.
While the parents were lining up the potential perpetrators and inspecting their hands, Jodi had gone off to use the can and then found himself…here. Wherever here was. Lights glared into his eyes, making him squint, but even when he lifted his hand to block their intensity, he discovered there still wasn’t anything to see. As far as he could tell, there wasn’t an audience out beyond the edge of the stage.
After a few times of watching one of the men being whisked to the center of the stage, Jodi started to get the drill. Apparently, he and his fellow humans were on sale. But to whom? And for what? His worry started to edge toward panic until he very deliberately calmed himself down by reminding himself not to borrow trouble. Whatever was going on there didn’t seem to be a lot he could do about the situation he found himself in. All his struggles were in vain. He wasn’t going anywhere except wherever his invisible master wanted him to go.
That thought scared the hell out of Jodi. He’d heard about hazing. He was now contemplating his third year at college, so he’d decided to pledge to one of the fraternities. Since he’d gone to a junior college to get his feet wet and save some ducats on the cost of his degree, he was considered fresh meat. Was this some prank by the guys at Sigma Phi? God, he hoped not. If it was, it was pretty damn weird. Who the hell would abduct a guy from a kid’s party, strip him bare, then auction him off? Only a complete whackado, that was who.
The bigger question became what would he have to do for the guy who’d bought him? Dozens of very wicked thoughts went through Jodi’s head. He’d always dreamed of something crazy happening to him, like walking into the locker room when all of his teammates decided to throw down. So far, it had never happened outside the tales told on the Internet. If he had had more guts, he might have started the lust-fueled romp himself, but Jodi never was much of a leader. He wasn’t really a follower, either. He seemed to gravitate toward the middle of everything.
When his turn at center stage came, he didn’t struggle and he didn’t preen. Until he knew what was going on, he would keep his cool and wait. Eventually, he’d figure everything out, so he saw no reason to panic. It seemed to him the picture always resolved itself given enough time. And it seemed he had plenty of that.
When he felt a hand or something sliding down his back, he pushed out his chest. He couldn’t help
his reaction to the stroke. But then, the probing thing slid between his buttocks. Jodi closed his eyes. For the life of him, he tried to remain unmoved, but it felt so impossibly good that he hardened almost instantly. As he’d watched the other guys, he wondered what they were doing since he could only see their backsides. Now he knew. Something or someone was quite literally probing them.
“Oh, God.” Jodi struggled to stay upright. He hadn’t done a whole lot in his twenty years, but one thing he’d never tried was inserting anything into his ass. Not like it was a rule with him, just that he didn’t see the attraction.
Until now.
The probe was small, solid, and seemed to go straight for his prostate. Jodi wasn’t sure if it was vibrating or shocking him with a mild dose of electricity, but that didn’t really matter when it had the desired effect. His climax was epic. Jodi shot a wad of cum so far and so fast it was practically projectile climaxing. He felt like his cock was a gun that just unloaded its clip all at once.
Barely had he finished when the probe was removed and he was taken backstage. There he was scrubbed down and then oiled up. Half a dozen times he asked what was going on, but the invisible hands didn’t stop what they were doing to answer. Jodi looked everywhere but couldn’t see anyone. It was utterly bizarre. He would have thought he was dreaming, but for the fact he’d never felt more awake in his life. Once, he’d mixed an energy drink with a caffeine-heavy soda and had felt wired for most of the night. That was how he felt now. Except he wasn’t shaking this time. He was wide awake but calm.
Once he was suitably primped, a leash was affixed to his collar and he was taken down a long hall to what looked like an enormous lobby. Dozens of curious creatures were milling around. Their eyes seemed to rivet on him, making him acutely aware of the fact he was naked. Jodi instinctively placed his hand over his junk, but that didn’t seem to stop the stares. To be fair, Jodi couldn’t seem to stop looking at them, either, so he supposed they were even. Although, they were wearing clothes. Or at least he thought those things were garments. It was difficult to tell when he didn’t quite understand the structure of the beings themselves.
Jodi had never been a big fan of fantasy or sci-fi, but he was fairly certain he was looking at a bunch of aliens. As he continued to examine them, he realized that to them he was the alien. The thought made him grin and knocked a dozen notches off his anxiety. Everyone was strange to someone else.
“What is your name?”
Jodi jerked his attention to the other end of his leash and found a surprisingly human-looking guy. He was just a little taller than Jodi’s six feet but seemed to be a lot heavier than his one eighty. Still, he had a nice round face and big hands. If he was an alien, he seemed like one Jodi could at least relate to.
“Are you able to understand me?”
“Yeah. Sorry. I’m Jodi Weiss.” Jodi felt like there was a lot more he should say about who he was, but he refrained. He didn’t want to offer anything up because he wasn’t real sure where this was going. One thing he knew for certain was that this wasn’t a prank or hazing incident. No one would be able to go to these incredible lengths. Jodi wasn’t positive, but he was fairly certain he wasn’t on Earth anymore.
“You are to be a gift to the greatest hero of Girakor.”
“Gift?”
“Such a great hero deserves to have the best the galaxy can offer.”
Jodi couldn’t help but feel his ego pump up at the notion he was one of the best things the universe could offer. “Wait. What does that mean exactly?”
The guy peered at him with one brow raised. It was such a human gesture that Jodi felt this guy had to be an Earthling that had somehow been transported to space. Maybe there was something like parallel development or spontaneous similar evolvement or…something like that. He really didn’t have any clue how that would work.
“What does it mean to be this hero’s gift?”
The guy just kept on peering at him.
“What will I have to do?”
“Whatever he wants you to do.” Turning away rather dismissively, the guy started walking over to another guy who looked a lot like him. They could be brothers for all Jodi knew. And then there were more of them. All of the guys looked a lot alike, but the more Jodi considered them the more he saw their uniqueness. It was just that they all had dark hair, dark eyes, and wore very boring shirts and pants. The colors were all muted, and there wasn’t anything like fashion to them. Just the basics. Almost like scrubs. Or maybe it only looked that way in comparison to what the other aliens were wearing. The other thing they all had in common was that they were all pulling on leashes. Each guy had at least two slaves in tow while one had four.
Jodi looked around and realized, though he might be special, so were all these other guys. And none of them looked alike. As Jodi considered the creatures around him, he realized that he was unique only in that he looked the most like their captors. Jodi thought that might be a good thing but then again, maybe not. This hero guy was getting a bunch of slaves that looked as different as different could be. There was simply no way of determining what he would make all of them do.
The only other thing he and the slaves had in common was that they were all given a pair of shoes. When Jodi inspected them, he realized they were some kind of pressed paper. They were going to last long enough to get him where they were going but not much past that. He figured this was probably so he wouldn’t run. Not that Jodi had any grand plans to do something like that. Why run when he didn’t have a clue where he was?
As they were trooped out of the enormous lobby, Jodi got the horrible feeling that they weren’t slaves so much as they were pets. That thought gave him a terrible sense of fear. Some people doted on their pets and treated them far better than they did other humans, but some people treated their pets terribly. News reports of people compelling dogs to fight filled his head. What if this guy, this hero, was that kind of person? If he was a hero, then clearly he was a warrior. Warriors liked to fight. People who enjoyed fighting would probably enjoy watching other people or other aliens fight.
Now Jodi looked at the other creatures around him with a new eye. Could he take them in a fight? He wasn’t sure. Given that he really didn’t like to fight, he may not be that good at it. He’d played a little bit of most sports, including wrestling, but he’d never been super great at any of them. Like most things in his life, he’d been in the middle of the ranks. But then again, survival instinct was hardwired into humans. If he had to kill or be killed, Jodi was pretty sure he’d do his best to get out ahead.
But then an entirely different thought filled his mind.
What if this hero didn’t want pets to fight for his amusement but he wanted them to do things to him? A new and oddly disturbing chill went down his spine. Given what they’d had him do on that stage, a sexual job seemed a hell of a lot more likely.
Jodi studied the men who led him and the other slaves. Again, they were very human-looking. They weren’t hideous. So if he had to do one or die he thought he could probably manage. Or maybe not. What if they had enormous genitals? What if their cocks were not only big but barbed? Or they had two or more of them?
With his thoughts racing, Jodi had barely noticed the city going by. He only looked now to distract himself from his terrifying contemplations. Rather than ponder the notion of being some hero’s toy, he looked at a city that was a lot like New York on steroids. The buildings were so tall he couldn’t see to the top of them. They were also packed in right next to each other. He would have thought they were all one big building but for their different colors and differently styled entranceways.
The sidewalk he and the other slaves walked on was as wide as five or six regular sidewalks on Earth. There was a road with some kind of massive transport train in the center, but there was so much foot traffic he couldn’t really see the details. What stunned him yet again were the people going past. Well, not people, but beings. Tall, short, thin, fat, and every color of the
rainbow and all with different textures. Some even had feathers!
One guy riveted Jodi’s attention. He was humanlike in build but at least eight feet tall and maroon. He looked like he ate puppies for breakfast and washed them down with the blood of virgins. His eyes were red and riveted on Jodi. For a moment, there was a connection, which was so startling Jodi shook his head and clenched his eyes closed. When he looked around, the creature was gone.
“What was that?”
“The creamy beige being?” The guy next to Jodi had six arms and a surprisingly happy face.
“No. The big red one.”
The alien’s happy face turned into a grimace. “A Krase warrior.”
“We aren’t going to one of those, are we?” Jodi hoped not. The thing had drawn his attention like a magnet, but that didn’t mean he wanted to hook up with one.
“Thank the multihanded one, no. We are going to a Girakor.”
“I thought that was the place this hero guy was from?” Jodi was trying to keep everything clear in his mind just in case he got lost. Or free. He knew knowledge was power, and he was pretty damn powerless in this place.
“Girakor is both the planet and what they are called. What planet are you from?”
“Earth.”
“What are your kind called?”
“Earthlings.”
“See?”
It was kind of the same but not quite. He had a feeling the issue was with the translators that seemed to be installed in everyone. Jodi wasn’t certain, but he thought the device was in his head, right behind his ear. At least that was where it seemed to be as it took what he heard and whispered it in English. Rather than argue the point, which really didn’t matter, Jodi moved on to other things.
