White Hot Holidays 24: One Night Of Pleasure

“I can’t tell it anything. It never minds me. Just ignore it.”
“I can’t ignore something poking into my back.”
“Would you rather it poke somewhere else?”
Gail rolled over to face him. She laughed at the hopeful expression on his face. “You’re insatiable, do you know that?”
“Guilty as charged.” He slowly caressed her breasts and stomach. One finger dipped between her thighs and brushed her clit. “Can I help it if this body turns me on?”
They’d been teasing with each other, but his words sobered her. “Does it?”
“You know it does. It always has.”
His sweet declaration brought tears to her eyes. Jason cradled her jaw in his hand. “Why tears, Gail?”
“I was afraid you’d…never want me again.”
“I never stopped wanting you. I never stopped loving you.”
“Even after I was so horrible to you?”
“We both made mistakes. We were both wrong about a lot of things. What happened between us wasn’t your fault, nor mine.” He caressed her cheek with his thumb. “Your eyes look like emeralds when you cry.”
“They can’t look like emeralds. My eyes aren’t green.”
“They are, too.”
“Jason, they’re hazel. I can’t believe we’ve been married for two years and you still don’t know the color of my eyes.”
“Whatever color you want to call them, they’re beautiful. You’re beautiful, both inside and out.” He kissed her tenderly.
“So my idea worked?”
He nodded. “It did for me. We agreed to start fresh, to pretend we didn’t know each other at that party. It was like we met for the first time.”
“One look at you made my heart melt, just like it did the first time I saw you.”
“One look at you gave me a hard-on.”
Gail burst out laughing. “Will you be serious?”
He grinned, but his grin quickly faded. “Okay, I’ll be serious. We let life and our jobs and petty disagreements interfere with our love for each other.”
“Some of those petty disagreements were pretty intense.”
“All right, I’ll admit some of them were fights. The main thing is we took each other for granted.” He cradled her cheek, his thumb brushing over her lips. “I promise you I’ll never do that again.”
“Does that mean I can expect flowers and love notes now?”
“You can expect a lot of things.”
“I don’t need ‘things’, Jason. I only need you.”
“You got me, for as long as you want me.”
“Forever works for me.”
“Then forever it is.”
Jason kissed her slowly and thoroughly before he sat up and opened the drawer of the nightstand. Gail propped up on her elbows so she could see what he was doing. He removed something from the drawer and closed his fingers around it. Turning back to her, he opened his fist.
Two gold wedding bands lay on his palm.
“I think,” he said, picking up the smaller band, “it’s time we put these back on.”
Tears filled her eyes and flowed down her cheeks. Nodding, she held out her left hand to him. He slipped the ring on her finger, then kissed it. Gail took his band from his palm and placed it on his finger. She, too, kissed it once it was back where it belonged before kissing her husband’s lips.
How she loved him.
Once their lips parted, Jason pulled her into his arms, her back to his chest. “I rented this apartment on a very temporary basis. We’ll have to start house hunting. I’ll ask around, try to find a real estate agent we’ll like.”
“I rented my apartment hoping it would be temporary, too. House hunting with you sounds wonderful.” She ran her fingertips lightly up and down his arm. “Are you sure, Jason? You gave up a very successful plumbing business in California to move here.”
“I sold that business and made a nice profit. I’ve already started another business here and have three guys working for me. NTHH is tops in cardiology in the States. This is where you need to be. If you wanted to move to Greenland, I’d go. I don’t care where we live, as long as we’re together.”
“Greenland is definitely out. I get cold too easily.”
Jason chuckled. “That’s true.”
“It’ll be different here, Jason, I swear. I won’t ever neglect you again.”
“I know that,” he said softly. “We started fresh last night, Gail. No more regrets, no more rehashing of the past. Our marriage officially begins now.”
She drew tiny circles on his arm with one fingertip. “Maybe…maybe we could talk about starting a family.”
He’d been tweaking her nipples while they spoke. Her words must have shocked him for his fingers stilled. “What?”
“I wasn’t ready two years ago, or even a year ago. I’m ready now. I’m established in my job. My hours are still long, but I have more say-so about my schedule now. I doubt there would be a problem with me taking off some time after the baby is born.”
“Gail, are you sure? I want us to have a baby. I want that more than anything. But I’d never push you. I did that once and drove you away from me. I won’t do it again.”
“You don’t have to push me. I want to have your baby.” She reached her hand back and squeezed his hip. “So let’s talk about it.”
His hand slid down her stomach to between her thighs. “Talking isn’t how it’s done, sweetheart.”
Gail giggled. “Well, I thought we could talk first, then do the other stuff.”
Jason pushed two fingers inside her pussy. “You can talk while I feel around.”
She swatted his hip. “Behave! I’m being serious here.”
“So am I.” He pushed his fingers farther inside her. “Believe me, I’m very serious about fucking you.”
“Jason… Oh!” She gasped when he pressed her G-spot. “You aren’t playing fair.”
“I know.”
His smug tone made her laugh, despite the intense sensations his caressing was causing in her body.
She knew exactly what to say to make that smug tone disappear.
“I’m not on the Pill anymore.”
He stopped rubbing his cock against her buttocks. “What did you say?”
Gail grinned to herself. She knew that would get him. “I stopped taking it when I moved here.”
He cleared his throat. “Where are you in your cycle?”
“I started my period two weeks ago.”
“Two weeks…” Jason jerked Gail to her back and loomed over her. “You could be pregnant right now.”
She nodded. “As regular as I am, that’s very possible.”
Jason remained silent. Gail bit her bottom lip, worried that he’d think she tricked him. “Are you angry I didn’t tell you before we made love?”
“No. God, no, I’m not angry. I’m…” He chuckled. “Hell, I’m speechless.”
“Well, that doesn’t happen very often.”
“True.” He rubbed his hand over her flat stomach. “But you know, we should be sure. I mean, just because your cycle is regular doesn’t mean you’ll get pregnant the first time. We should do everything we can to make sure you do get pregnant.”
He settled between her legs. His erection pressed against her pussy. “You think we should make love again?”
“Oh, yeah. Probably all day. The apartment will be warm soon. I have plenty of food. It’s gonna snow soon, so we have no reason to go outside.”
“You have it all figured out, huh?”
“Absolutely. In fact…” He slipped his hands beneath her buttocks and lifted her hips. His cock slid inside her. “We should probably make love as often as we can for at least a couple of weeks. Just to be sure.”
“Only a couple of weeks.”
He grinned. “To start.”
Gail arched her back as he began a gentle thrusting. Spreading her legs wider, she wrapped her arms around his neck. “You always have such g
ood ideas.”
