Resurgence: The Ship Series // Book Five Page 22

by Jerry Aubin

First among all of my readers, I would like to thank Michael Lee. Michael has continued to be a fantastic resource who has read early drafts of every single book and shared great perspectives and challenged me with great questions and feedback.

Michael was joined in my group of early readers by a number of other people to whom I am super grateful. Each of these readers participated in my early reader program for Resurgence and took the time to provide their thoughts about the book in advance of publication. They contributed in ways big and small to shaping what wound up on the page and I’m lucky to have them reading my books. Aaron Campagnone, Al Bentley, Alan Edwards, Alex Campbell, Alex Smith, Alison Newband, Amanda Evans, Andrew Haggard, Andrew Holmgren, Andy Barnett, Ann Hunt, Anne-Claude McDermid, Avi Smith, Becky Muys, Ben, Ben Varela, Bill Short, Bob Harris, Bob Marquart, Bob Ruff, Bob Wood, Brad Fowler, Brett Krueger, Brian Freeman, Bruce B, Cameron Macdonald, Capt.   If you would like to see your name on the above list next time, be sure to register online at my website (jerryaubin.com) or drop me a note at [email protected] so I can put you on the list of readers to contact when my next book approaches publication.

As for what’s next, I’m not 100% sure. As you can see, I’ve intentionally left the door open for further adventures on the Ship and I absolutely expect to revisit this universe and its characters again. That said, I think I am going to let Zax and Kalare have some time adapting to their new situations before I return to their story. There will be more sci-fi from me soon, though, so please register on my website so I can keep you informed about what comes out next!

I would like to close by expressing tremendous gratitude for my family. My talented wife Kerry has provided constant encouragement and been supportive about all of the time I’ve spent building this world. My boys, Parker and Wesley, are always great sources of inspiration. Finally, Queso the wonder boxer was always available for a quick walk whenever I wanted to stretch my legs and clear my head after some gnarly piece of writing. We had to say farewell to Miss Queso earlier this year, but she will always be a big part of my fond memories of the Ship Series.
