A Dialogue on Trinity

a few verses in the Bible? Let’s read Ephesians 5:30-32.

Madeleine: [Opens the verses in the Bible and reads]: “For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.”

Clarke: When Jesus left heaven and took on human nature, and when He made the New Covenant with His Bride, the Church, they became one Body. All who receive Him are given the authority to be called the children of God, and we partake of the divine nature. This is the mystery of godliness. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Spirit are One. The Son of God becomes the Son of Man and by His death on the Cross makes the New Covenant of blood with the Church, the community of believers – He is joined unto His wife. He is raised from the dead, justified in the Spirit, and is received up into glory. Since we are one with Him, we are seated with Him in the heavenly places. Our citizenship is heaven. The Son will return to take home His Bride one day.

Madeleine: I think I can understand a few things now, dad. Of course, the mystery of unity in the Godhead and the unity of the Body is still difficult to be fully understood. But, I am glad we can believe and walk in it.

Clarke: Yes, dear. I think it’s time now for you to go to bed.

Madeleine: Thanks, dad! I still have a few questions, but Good Night, dad!

  Clarke: Good Night, my child!
