The Dimension Travel Trilogy: A Three Part Science Fiction And Fantasy Novel Page 31

by Pidoriano, Joseph

Now, we have an alien in our crowd. However, this alien is for the best interests mortal human beings of California County.

The Starmos leader Cornelius Von Alien, who is a tyrannical brute, imprisoned the trio of innocent fugitives who are standing beside me. Now, at this particular meeting, I will not answer any questions. This meeting has been called to provide the citizens and visitors in town with the requirements for the evacuation. We will start off by emptying all of the stores, the farmlands, and restaurants in town in an orderly fashion. The reason why this has to take place is because food and water is a primary requirement for all mortal and immortal beings. So, the following places that we will empty out clean are the Ketcher's Farmers Market, The DO Farm, and all of the restaurants in town. Now, we only need seventy two hours of food. If one takes more food than he or she needs, then that individual shall be prosecuted and incarcerated for a couple of weeks for theft. Now, another thing that you need for survival is a shelter. So, you need to take the tents from the hardware store.

Unfortunately, some of you will be left tentless. If there is a person in need like an old folk or a young child, then you will be forced to give up your tent to that particular person. So, we have all of the provisions that we need. Next thing, after you get all of your provisions, you are to escape to the nearest entrance of the woodlands.

I know that some people will panic because they've never been inside of the woodlands at night. However, don't panic. It will only be for two nights. The next thing that I want everybody to have are Walky Talkies.

This is a requirement to have a Walky Talky so that way I can communicate with all of the citizens who are in the evacuation. If you refuse to follow these instructions, then you will be the malicious, cold hearted aliens’ prey. Now, ladies and gentlemen, I said earlier in this speech that you would be staying in the woodlands for seventy two hours. Instead of doing, that, you will remain in the woodlands for the evening, and you will return into town by morning. So, you will only have to get twenty four hours of necessary provisions.

Thank you ladies and gentlemen for listening to this speech. Now, I changed my mind on denying people from asking questions. So, now I will take questions from every citizen who is inquisitive regarding this important event. One of the citizens asked, "What zones are we planning to evacuate this town into the woodlands?" I will assign everyone to a group.

Because there are four cardinal points on a compass, I will assign four groups. Every group will report to the residential part of town. However, I will give every single citizen a tattoo that identifies him or her. So, each group will have a different coloring. The North Group will have a blue tattoo. The South Group will have a green tattoo. The East Group will have an orange tattoo. And, finally, the West Group will have a red tattoo", answered the mayor. "Do we have any other questions?" he asked. A female citizen in the crowd answered, "Yes." "And, what do you need to know?" asked the mayor.

"I would like to guarantee that my three children and I will be kept together at all times during this evacuation", answered the female citizen.

"I will identify your children with two tattoos and their initials on their foreheads so that way you can find them after the evacuation.

This will not only apply to you, it will apply to every citizen in this crowd who has a child or children. And, lady, the answer to your question is that your children will most likely unfortunately be separated from you", replied Mayor Stone.

"Okay", said the mother. "Any other questions?" asked the mayor. The citizens are as silent as a slithery snake trying to ambush its prey. "Going once", said the mayor. He paused and then said, "Going twice". The citizens still remained silent. After that the mayor announced, "Now, every single one of you will line up to the flag pole in a single file. I will decide who belongs to what group. And, the reception lady will mark you with a color. Each color will represent the team that you're on. Now, every single person in the crowd will be marked off with a specific color. And, that color will obviously represent the team that you're assigned to. If you step off the line because you do not want a temporary tattoo, then it is your problem.

And, if any of you give a problem, the citizens who give the problem will be prosecuted under the Court of California County."

One of the citizens in the crowd raised his hand. He replied boisterously, "Excuse me. But, you sound like a tyrannical ruler." "Do not tell me that I am a tyrant because Cornelius Von Alien is the tyrant who we are trying to avoid. Don't compare me to a malicious, malevolent soul. I give freedom of speech, he doesn't. I base everything on the founding’s of the American Constitution. He didn't even establish a constitution. And, if he did, he solely created an arbitrary constitution. So, don't compare me to a tyrant. And, I do not take my citizens' money or their time, and I don't embezzle my citizens' money. This brute does. So, don't rudely compare me to some arbitrary, cruel, rapacious, and heartless tyrant", said the mayor. "Fine then. But, I still think that you're a tyrant", replied the boisterous citizen. "You are entitled to your opinion. But, say this opinion to me after or before I presented this important speech to everyone in the crowd. And, if you acted like this in Starmos City, you would have been incarcerated as a hostile", said the mayor. "And, why would you think that I can't act like that in Starmos City?" asked the boisterous citizen.

"Because, over here it is your constitutionally protected right to say what you want to say over here. But, because the brutes who rule that alien city like to make horrible lifestyles for their citizens, they can't act boisterously and they especially cannot ridicule their ruler in front of their folks", answered the mayor. "Okay, I'm sorry for being so loud in front of you", replied the boisterous citizen. The mayor turned to the right and whistled to the reception lady, who is standing on the stairs in front of Town Hall. She ran gingerly ran down the stairs and, gave the four markers to Mayor Stone. He called the rows to come down from front to back. A line of people formed which stretched down the street past the municipal buildings and into the woodlands. The first six rows of thirty people are being marked with a red dot on their wrist. After the preceding group was finished being tattooed, then the next group of thirty people had markings of a blue dot placed on them, which means that they are required to exit the town from the North Side. Then, the rest of the citizens were marked with green and orange, which means that they are required to exit the town from either the South Side or the East Side of town.

After tattooing every citizen, the mayor made an important announcement to all of the citizens who are present.

"Now, everyone will be cleaning out the stores of the necessary products for the twenty four hour evacuation. I require that this is to be done in an orderly fashion, so not a single life is lost during this evacuation", he said. The citizens quietly cleaned out the stores of their products. While, the citizens are doing that, the mayor and the trio of fugitives sat on the park benches waiting. "Why are we waiting for everyone else when we should be raiding the stores with them?" asked Tom.

"Because, it doesn't make any sense to raid a store when I have a plan up my sleeve", answered the mayor. "What would that plan be?" asked Light. "You'll see later", answered Mayor Stone.

"Come on, I want to know", replied Will. "Are we going to escape to a secret shelter under your office?" asked Light. "No, I am not telling", answered the mayor.

Everyone retrieved the necessary provisions from the local shops and restaurants for the twenty four hour evacuation. After that, everyone evacuated into the woodlands. It is now, five forty five in the afternoon and everyone is out of the town. "Are we going to evacuate now?" asked Tom. "Yes", answered the mayor. The trio of fugitives and the mayor walked down Goodluck Street in the South side of town. "So, where is this secluded place?" asked Light. "It is an underground house that nobody in town knows about. The only ones who know about this underground place are the three of you and myself", answered the mayor.

"Okay", replied Tom. The rest of the walk into the
woodlands was silent. They finally arrived into the woods towards the end of the sunset. This deciduous forest looks empty for the first five hundred steps into this isolated place. After walking five hundred feet, the four men witnessed the citizens pitching tents, building bonfires, and stocking up their food. The children are playing while the mothers are preparing the dinner, and the fathers are pitching the tents. The trio of fugitives and the mayor continued walking until they reached the placid pond. This pond appears to be untouched by mankind or any animal. This pond is clear that one can see the rocky bottom clearly. It is now six o' clock in the evening and the sun had fallen and the moon had risen. The constellations in the sky formed in the shape of a smile.

"I've never been back here before", said Tom.

"Well, it's a truthfully amazing experience. At one time, I was a boy scout. The camp counselors told me that this lake possessed a curse. But, I didn't believe that fallacy", replied the mayor. "I didn't know that you were in the boy scouts", said Tom. "Well, I wouldn't be an eagle scout if I wasn't a boyscout. And, I wouldn't be the mayor of this county if I was an eagle scout", replied the mayor. "I never seen a pond this nice", said Will. "How come?" asked Mayor Stone.

"Because, the water in Starmos City has always been murky and filled with filth", said Will. "Well, once this ordeal with those beastly rulers is finished and we win, then I will make you, along with the citizens of your origin, members of our town and our planet", replied the mayor. "Thank you very much", said Will. "You're very welcome. Like I said earlier, you will be given unlimited access to this town if not Planet Earth once this ordeal with the malevolent aliens has ended", replied the mayor. It is now six fifteen in the evening and, the mayor and the trio of fugitives were present at the placid pond. The wind spoke, and leaves are falling from the treetops and onto the ground. Within a matter of thirty seconds crunches had been heard. These crunches sound like an animal or a human walking quietly. But, the noise is loud enough that one would have the ability to explicitly hear the noise.

Yet, Tom, Light, Will, and Mayor Stone didn't notice the noise.

All of a sudden, a creature was able to be heard from behind. The creature accidentally tripped on a stick and rolled over onto Tom. This creature is a Red Fox, who just left his shelter. Tom turned around, noticed the fox, and jumped back like a cat who was afraid of water droplets. "I'm sorry", said the fox, who has a British accent. Tom moved back further away into the untouched pond. "What is wrong?"

asked the fox. Tom swam away from the fox's view, into the foggy part of the pond. "Why is he so scared?" asked the curious animal.

"Because he is apparently afraid of animals. He thought your face looked quite creepy", answered Will. "What kind of a creature are you?" asked the fox.

Will refused to answer this particular question. The fox then asked, "Are you some sort of a human who was transformed into a frog?" "No, way. I am an alien from a distant dimension", answered Will. "I never heard of such a creature", replied the forest animal (the fox.) "Well, creatures and citizens come from different planets and, different places", said Will. "What are you doing?" asked the mayor.

"Two things. First, and foremost, I am hunting a duck or two. Then, I am going to retrieve some stones, leaves, and sticks to barricade my abode from the aliens", answered the forest animal. "How did you find out about the evil aliens invading Earth?" asked Light. "Because, I watch CBN news on the T.V.", answered the fox.

"How did you get a T.V. or even connection to watch T.V. in the middle of the woods?" asked Mayor Stone. "Because, I am friends with some of your citizens in town. Besides, there's nothing wrong with a fox being friends with mankind", answered the fox. "It is impressive how you're able to do that when you live in such a secluded area", replied the mayor sarcastically. "Well, thank you", said the fox. "Yeah, did you know that I was being sarcastic when I said that?" asked the mayor. "No", answered the fox. He asked, "And, why would you be so sarcastic to me when I am trying to be your friend?”

"Because, it is impossible to have a television in the middle of nowhere. And, besides, you can't even carry an object that is very enormous and heavy. And, nevertheless, you don't even know how to farm and live a sedentary lifestyle. I don't believe on what you're saying. If what you're telling me is true, then I will probably end up in cardiac arrest. But, I still don't believe you", answered the mayor. The forest animal laughed. "It's true", he replied. "Do you want to come over and visit my abode?" "Sure, I want to see if you even have an abode, but, that's probably also a fallacy", answered the mayor. "Hey, that's not true. Let's get some things straight. Number One: I am not a pathological liar; number two: I am smarter than you; and number three: I am more genuine and I am not a sarcastic schmuck like you are", replied the fox. "Hey, that's not true", said the mayor. "It is definitely true. Why don't you learn how to look at yourself in the mirror and make a change in your attitude?" asked the fox. "Because, I don't have the problem. It is you with the problem, not me", answered the mayor.

"You have more problems than I have. Besides, you humans are never satisfied with the world that you live in. We animals have less assets and resources than you humans. And, yet, we are more satisfied with the way we live. In fact, we animals are more than satisfied. We are actually happy with our lives", replied the fox, who started to walk away from Mayor Stone, Light, and Will. The fox vanished into the night. After that, the mayor's attitude towards the fox changed from a snide, sarcastic attitude to a nice and gracious personality. A couple of minutes have passed since the fox vanished.

"I believe that we should find this respectable creature because he didn't do anything nasty to us. I think that we should help him hunt and gather for dinner", said the mayor. "Why would you want to help him when you were extremely arrogant to him a few minutes ago?"

asked Light. "Because, he was very respectful towards us. And, I wasn't respectful towards him. Besides, we have hands and supermarkets that can give us the advantage to easily accessing food.

This creature has to hunt for the food and painstakingly drag it back to his abode, and bring it to his wife and, then she has to throw it on the grill or even eat it raw. I feel bad for them", answered the mayor.

"Well, are you going to find the nice creature?" asked Will.

"Yes, I think I will", answered the mayor. Mayor Stone started to get up from sitting for fifteen minutes at the placid pond. He started to walk through the dark woodlands to find the fox. Light and Will followed him into the dark deciduous forest. As the mayor was walking, he tripped on a stone and fell in the shallow six inch depth creek. He screamed for help and, Light and Will started to run down to the scene where the issue had taken place. When the benevolent robot and the respectful alien citizen arrived, the mayor was found unconscious.

"Should we continue going?" asked Light frantically. "We should carry him to one of the tents and from there, one of the county citizens will take care of him", answered a nonchalant Will. "Then, who will find the fox?" asked Light. "I'll do that", answered Will.

"Okay", replied Light. While the shapeshifting robot carried the mayor to the camp site, Will was on the hunt for the fox. The alien started to quietly walk through the woods. His steps were as silent as s church mouse. All of a sudden, the alien stopped. Noises in the fallen leaves were heard. But, these noises weren't Will Von Alien's footsteps. Instead, they were the fox's footsteps. The amicable alien called hollered the fox to come over to him. The fox interrupted his hunt for dinner and, walked over to the alien.

"What do you want?" asked the fox. "I want to help you fetch some dinner", answered Will. "Well, okay, it is quite peculiar as to why you would want to help me hunt down dinner. But, I guess it is okay with me", replied the fox. Both Will and the Fox quickly ran through the woodlands up to Lake Hunter. This Lake was one half of a mile long by a quarter of s mile wide. This lake featured a lot of animals. The fox and the alien walked up to a sandy part of the lake.

This portion of the lake is abundant wi
th salmon. The fox said, "Now, you usually grab the prey with your mouth. But, because you have hands, you'll catch the animal with your hands." "Now, I never hunted down an animal. I never even fished in my life", replied Will.

"And, why would that be?" asked the fox. "I'll tell you later", answered Will nervously. "Okay", replied the gentle fox. "Now, I will try and get this fishing thing down pat", said Will. He placed his hand in the lake. From there, he witnessed a gigantic salmon fish coming up to the hand. The alien swooped his hand and caught the fish. The aquatic animal is gasping for water and squirming. Will has strong grip on the fish to the point where it passed away. This peculiar fish is about fifteen pounds and, was a Sockeye Salmon, which was native to this lake. This very slippery, scaly creature was one of the largest fish in the lake.

"Good job", said the forest animal. "For what?" asked Will.

"You were able to catch that fish easily", answered the fox. "It would be impossible for me to catch such a gigantic fish." "Oh really?"

asked Will. "Yes", answered the fox. "In fact, you know what, I will bring home this creature and, carry it all the way to the abode for you." "I didn't know that I was eating dinner with you all. I thought that I was doing this because you asked me to do this", replied Will. "

No, you must eat with me. Besides, you did a kind, chivalrous action by saving me a lot of important and tedious work to do", said the fox.

"While, we get to know each other, I would like it if we introduce each other and get to know each other", replied Will. Both the altruistic alien and the tender fox started to return on their way back to the abode where the fox lived. They walked at the same speed. "Now, I would like to know your name?" asked Will. "Jack Woodston", answered the fox. "And, what is your name?" "Will Von Alien", answered the selfless alien. "Where do you come from?"

asked Will. "England", answered the fox. "Starmos City", replied Will. "Where's that?" asked the fox.
