“Alphas?” she asked, dazed.
“Yes, we are. And you are our Omega.” His eyes skimmed the men in a pile of limbs around her, not a single one alone, each touching her and at least one of their brothers. “We have waited a long time to find you.”
“But, how?”
“Clarity reveals who you truly are, that’s what it is meant to do.” Crouching on the other side of Halyrion, he rested a hand on the male’s bicep and leaned forward to brush her lips. “I know it may be hard to understand, but it is a good thing we found you. Others may have…”
“May have?” she repeated, but then she yawned and he just smiled a little, a strange look passing over his face before he stood.
“It doesn’t matter, Karissa. You’re safe. You’re ours.” Mordek gestured at the males surrounding her and tilted his head. “And as you will come to realize, we are yours.”
Mine.
Something buzzed in her chest as that single thought burrowed deep, and she found herself tracing Parel’s golden skin as she listened to the males breathing around her.
“Sleep, little Omega. Each of us would die for you. There is no safer place in all the universe for you.” Mordek pulled his shirt over his head, not even flinching as a fresh trickle of blood ran down his chest from her bite. “Now, rest.”
The last word was a command, a nudge in the back of her mind that she was too tired to question, and so she didn’t. She could ask all the questions later, when she wasn’t drowning in their purrs, their scents, and could actually think.
Later, but not now as her body tried to stretch and hands tightened in unison like they were many limbs of the same beast. Purrs grew louder, and Mordek’s command echoed in her head, a thump in her chest that urged her to obey, satisfaction on its heels when she closed her eyes again and relaxed into the warmth surrounding her.
