“You don’t see any predator markings at all—bite marks, claw marks—and if you did it would be a clear giveaway,” said Chuck Zukowski, a former volunteer sheriff’s deputy in Pueblo, Colorado.
Beginning in 1999, rancher Tom Miller has lost several cows and calves to mutilation. Early on, he thought the missing ears, organs, and eyes were the product of a cruel joke. But then he began to think differently. How could pranksters remove body parts and remove sections of hide without leaving tracks or blood?
Zukowski also investigates UFO sightings and has studied 24 similar cases in Trinidad and Southern Colorado. He said the area around the cow was completely devoid of blood. He asked rhetorically how and why an animal, or any type of scavenger, would cut a round circle on one side of a cow’s head? Not only that, how could an animal do it and not make a bloody mess? If a human did it, he asked, where are the footprints and tire marks?
“In other cases I investigate,” he said, “there’s no sign the animal struggled. In some cases, it looks like the animal was dropped there.” Above one cow, he found broken branches in a tree, as if the animal had been dropped and crashed through them.
On one occasion, he found high radiation readings around the animal and, in another, changed soil nutrients.

Two police agencies investigated reports of objects seemingly floating and moving about in the sky.
Witnesses said the three objects would sometimes form a triangle and then move into a straight line.
Even the media weighed in and said the objects were not drones or balloons because they would remain motionless for as long as 15 minutes in their camera view screens.
Many people witnessed them and called the police who called the FAA. NORAD, North American Aerospace Defense Command said they were investigating, as well.

CONCLUSION
Paranormal experiences are those beyond our normal grasp of the way things are supposed to be. They are even beyond scientific explanation. Paranormal events happen everyday and every night to people from every walk of life around the globe. They are usually mysterious, strange, and sometimes frightening to those who witness them.
As I said in the beginning, many law enforcement officers see and experience in a month more than some people see and experience in a lifetime. It’s the nature of the job: They go toward trouble while others flee from it. As a result, they are assailed with violence, horror, grief, loss, rage, and a host of other sights, sounds, and emotions. They have seen it all and few things surprise them anymore.
But on one call, perhaps more than one, they experienced something they have never seen, heard, or felt before, on the job or off. It doesn’t fit. It doesn’t compute.
There is no explanation except one.
I have always had an interest in ghosts, spirits, UFOs, ESP, and so on. But when I first thought of the idea of compiling stories from law enforcement on the subject, I was convinced I would be mocked and ran out of town. But just the opposite happened. The first day I announced the project on a Facebook law enforcement site, I got an overwhelmingly positive response. In fact, I got a story sent to me the first day. Then in the days that followed, I received more and more.
A few officers said that by writing their story, and then seeing it after I edited and formatted it for the book, they were finally able to come to a place in their mind where they felt better about their experience. What did they feel before? I don’t know and I didn’t intrude by asking. I know I felt better after telling my experiences.
I know personally three of the officers that contributed pieces to this book. The others I got to know just a little while working on their stories with them. All are highly professional—some are past and present military, SWAT officers, and command personnel—and all wanted their stories told.
I hope you enjoyed them.
