Magic Vs. Aliens: Hybrid Sorcerer: Book One - Return of Magic: Book Five

He checked in with the bird as they raced down the stairs, or rather he raced down the stairs behind a willowy and graceful blur that easily outdistanced him. The fourteen men outside were still in a standoff, and as he rounded the stairs and walked into the main room, there were four more dead assholes lying on the ground.
He shifted most of the new lifeforce from Sadie and into his over six thousand creatures. The eighteen she’d cut down had more than made up for what he spent. The cries were also calming down from upstairs, and Sadie was cutting the tied-up men free.
She asked, “Plan?”
He shrugged, “Think they’d mind if we just killed them?”
She grinned, “Depends, rape is a capital crime on the west coast, but not everywhere.”
That was a good point. His father had a thing about men that abused women in that way, and he wasn’t all that different. Point being, it’d be almost amusing if he saved them all without a life lost, and they tried to arrest him for mass murder. Not all places and communities outside the west coast saw rape as a death penalty offence.
He grunted, “I bet if you opened the door and went out there, they’d do something stupid. Then you’d just be defending yourself, which is the right of every person alive.”
She giggled like a schoolgirl, and then headed for the front door, while all the men he’d just freed looked at him like he was insane.
He shrugged, “Am I wrong? You didn’t seem to mind her exercising that right on your behalf.”
He snorted, as they turned away. Maybe they were just scared. Or maybe they didn’t understand why he was sending a willowy knock-out redhead to fight while he was loitering in the main room. Or, maybe they were shocked rape was a death sentence where he came from? It was hard to tell, they looked a little in shock.
She opened the door and stepped out as he said, “All your buddies just lost their heads, you should surrender,” as she whipped her sword blade and sprayed the four men with the fresh bright blood that’d been coating it.
He snorted, and he guessed that Sadie wasn’t taking any chances. No way a pack of aggressive assholes would surrender after being sprayed with their buddies’ life blood by a hot redhead with a sword.
Predictably enough, they all spun and went for their swords. The first two had their throats slit before their swords could fully leave their sheaths. She kicked the third in the chest sending him flying against the stairway railing, while she parried the fourth’s wild sword swing and then smoothly ran him through the chest.
The last one roared and charged as he swung his blade, but she lunged forward to get inside his guard. The man’s forearm hit her shoulder, the sword dropping from his hand, as she sheathed her own blade through his heart. She pulled it out, and cleaned off the blood on the corpse’s clothes, before sheathing her weapon. His Sadie was certainly deadly, and a normal man had no chance against her strength, speeds, and skills. Not even four.
Twenty-two new life forces, and he was far more powerful than a moment ago. He still had half a bracer of magic as well, more than enough to get them back to the kitchen, and to clean up their clothes and bodies. He did that latter part right then, removing the blood spray and sweat from their clothes and bodies.
He nodded to the men as he walked out of the building, and his bird flew off.
“Gentleman. The raiders are dead.”
The leader of the militia group asked, “Who the hell are you?”
He shrugged, “A customer that passed through a few days ago. When I saw there was trouble, I thought I’d lend a hand. You mentioned two people that are critically injured? I can take a look at them if you’d like. Name’s Ryan, this here is Sadie.”
It’d cost a little bit of life force, but not what they’d just taken, what he had left of what he’d restored earlier. He could easily heal a couple of people using just his life force which would recover quickly, and not touch his hoarded supply. Saving lives was worth it regardless, not to mention building good relations with the communities he wanted to help. It’d suck if he had to do so against their will. That hadn’t come up yet, and he wouldn’t do that he didn’t think. If they really didn’t want his help, then the morality of helping became a little too gray for his tastes. Even if it saved lives.
The man looked a little untrusting, which wasn’t a big surprise.
“I’m James, sheriff here. How can you help, and if you were here three days ago how’d you see there was trouble?”
He pointed up at the bird circling overhead, then said, “I have magic. I’ll be able to heal them, or at least determine if they’ll recover if they won’t consent to more.”
James shifted uncertainly, and ordered, “Help the ladies clean up the mess in there, find out what happened, I’ll be with our guests at the doc’s.”
James waved them to follow, and he and Sadie trailed after him as they walked to a doctor’s office right next to the government building.
“Why are you watching our town. I appreciate what you done. That could’ve gotten very ugly back there, but it makes a man curious.”
He nodded, “And cautious I’d imagine. Besides being the right thing to do? It gives me a purpose in this life, plus I gain from it through the magic. I won’t be interfering in your town though, internally, I know that’d be unwanted, but if you’re ever under external threat again I might be back.”
James grunted, and led them inside. There was a middle-aged man and a woman in her early thirties lying on cots. They both had gut wounds, which wasn’t a good thing without modern medicine to fight infection. There was also an older man cleaning out their wounds, and a younger lady acting as a nurse, and perhaps an apprentice healer.
James said, “Carl, Vera, this man has magic, says he’d take a look at them, heal them if they’d let him.”
Vera gave the two of them a wide-eyed look, the old doctor just looked at them tiredly.
Carl said, “He looks a little young, but I got to say gut wounds are nasty. I’m not sure there’s anything I can do besides make them comfortable. The kid could hardly make it worse.”
He reached for their life force, and he saw the intestines had been severed and cut in several places, which was bad news. Still, he could heal it easily enough, close them up, repair the wounds with his life magic. It was more accelerated healing, and also boosting their immune systems to the point they could deal with all the deadly bacteria and waste escaping into their bodies.
He asked, “I have permission?”
Carl snorted, “They’re knocked out, and if they woke up then they’d just be feverish and not of sound judgement in the pain, go ahead and do it.”
He nodded, and he pushed life force into both of their bodies. It felt good to do something besides killing, even if taking out the trash had a certain satisfaction to it as well. The wounds knit quickly before their eyes, and Carl jumped a little as he quickly pulled the bandages out of the wounds before they could be sealed inside.
He muttered, “Clean,” too low to be heard, and the spell took care of the blood and other things, revealing smooth and healed skin, there wasn’t even a scar.
Carl whistled, “That’s a mighty useful talent you have their boy, thanks for sharing it.”
He nodded politely, a little uncomfortable with the amazement in his tone, and the awe in Vera’s eyes. James’ look was a little more piercing and questioning, but then that was the nature of lawmen who cared about their community.
James said, “You’re welcome here, less my men say otherwise.”
He nodded, “We moved rather quickly to prevent any bystander deaths. The women are likely in shock.”
James snorted, “And halfway through a bottle of liquor no doubt.”
He said his goodbyes, and he and Sadie left and found a little privacy to teleport back home. It seemed more circumspect to him, and he wasn’t a show off and didn’t want to make them even more nervous, or worse, awed.
He smiled, when Sadie kissed his cheek before getti
ng back on dinner.
Chapter Twelve
The rest of the world seemed to fade away as he took in the two ladies. He’d had the idea they all needed a break after all the blood and death. There were still three more groups, and then the aliens over in southern Russia to deal with, but they were out of magic for the day except what was left in his bracer. Which was enough for a few teleports at least.
Point was, he couldn’t take his eyes off his Katie, as she walked out in a strapless yellow sundress that was absolutely delicious on her sumptuously curvaceous body. It was conforming but not skin tight with a sweetheart neckline around her torso, and it continued to hug her sexy hips and tightly conform around her creamy lightly tanned legs down to lower thigh. She also had a pair of black three-inch heels on.
She truly was a goddess, so beautiful. She always was really, but he’d never seen her in anything nicer than a pair of black jeans and a casual blouse before. She was a stunning vision of beauty in a dress.
Sadie looked pretty fantastic herself, with her bright red curls half up on the sides, the rest flowing down her back. She had on a slinky and rather tight dark green dress that hugged her body just short of scandalously, showed her B cup cleavage to advantage, and went down in a pencil skirt almost to her knees. She had on red high heels that put her height even with his, and the color of the dress really brought out her stunningly striking and intelligently piercing green eyes. She seemed to be enjoying his eyes on her, in any case.
Bria had begged off on the human entertainment he’d managed to rope Katie and Sadie into that night. Their dinner had been early, and they were going to check out a musical play back west in a community he’d been to many times while growing up. Point was, there’d be plenty of time later for playtime and to get a good night’s sleep.
Katie blushed, “He’s speechless.”
Sadie grinned, “I think that’s a good thing.”
Seriously, the whole night was in danger of being cancelled, as he fought off the urge to carry Katie right back to their bedroom. The whole putting off their satisfaction thing they’d decided on earlier that afternoon was backfiring in that moment. He was more than ready to ravish his light brown-haired beauty.
He shrugged, “You both look stunning, although that’s an understatement. Ready?”
They both smiled. Katie looked a little excited about their night despite him having to talk her into it earlier. She was also both very pleased and maybe a little self-conscious by the way he was devouring her with his eyes. It was also clear she was enjoying the view as well, he had on his best clothes, suit pants, black shoes, and button-down shirt. They both walked toward him with cheeky and flirty smiles that turned him on and made him a little nervous at the same time.
He felt a little dizzy at their feminine scents when both of them grabbed either of his arms. He couldn’t help but lean down a little and steal a soft kiss from Katie, who smiled at him widely with her eyes sparkling. Apparently, he wasn’t the only one fighting his insane libido and the lustful chemistry of their nascent relationship.
When he turned, Sadie’s eyes looked joyful, a little amused, and excited. For just a moment, he was tempted to kiss her too, but he knew Sadie was just being physically affectionate, and had just started doing so again. He didn’t want to make it weird.
He asked curiously, “Where on Earth are you hiding your weapons?”
He knew better than to think she’d go anywhere with him unarmed and unprepared to defend him. But… that green dress… there was no where he could see to hide a weapon. Every one of her soft willowy curves was being hugged deliciously.
She smirked, “Wouldn’t you like to know.”
He laughed, “I would.”
She gave in, which was no surprise, given how sweet and devoted to him that she was, “Enchanted dagger in a thigh sheath. Leaving the sword at home.”
He nodded, the dagger he’d enchanted for her was her backup weapon. She obviously wasn’t wearing her armor either, but sometimes diligence had to take a backseat to life. They were going out to a show, not a fight, and his father’s territory along the whole west coast was possibly the safest and most flourishing part of the world at the time.
After checking the area with one of his birds, he teleported the three of them to the street outside the theatre. It was one of the bigger communities, almost six thousand all told including the surrounding farms. It was also an hour earlier there, so there was still plenty of daylight and the sounds of a blacksmith’s hammer and various conversations reached their ears.
There were theatres and groups in a lot of towns on the west coast, but he knew this was his mother’s favorite theatre group and said they were the most talented, so it’d been a no-brainer to pick it. He certainly wasn’t a judge of musical talent, so it was a thing.
The theatre itself was large enough to sit around two hundred people, and it was built with sound in mind, as it was used for instrument accompanied plays, concerts, and musicals. They joined the quickly moving line, and he pushed down the smug pride he felt at having both beauties hanging on his arms, as other men took looks at the triad. It was a shallow thing, he was more mature than that, but he was still just nineteen and in the prime of his libido. Plus, he was fairly sure the two women on his sides were enjoying the hell out of the moment as well.
After he paid for the three of them, they found a good seat and the two women sat on either side of him. He was thinking far too much in that moment. It was ironic the woman that loved him was the one he wasn’t with yet, and maybe never would be. He was still trying to come to terms with the idea of taking her as his lover. Lots of conflicting thoughts and emotions there, complications from their long past as he grew up with her in the house.
He wasn’t thick and slow, but it’d only been a day and a half since he’d found out the truth.
Katie… well there was tons of physical chemistry there, and of course he loved her deliriously besides, ever since he’d read her life on accident. She was an amazing woman, not just an incredibly beautiful and powerful one, but one of strong ideals, principles, and tenacity. Someone he was proud to be with, and proud to love. She took his breath away, and sometimes he was in awe at his lover, that she was even with him. It was a dream come true that was better than the fantasy.
Of course, he knew better than to act anything but confident in her being with him. He freely showed his awe in her, but never his doubts or disbelief in how passionate she was in him.
He was also pretty sure her sparkling eyes and soft touch on his arm were more than just the deferred physical needs and lust, to draw out the anticipation. There was affection there too. Maybe not love, but respect, admiration, and the beginnings of true affection. There was also joy and hope in their nascent relationship, they were good together he thought, lifting each other up higher. He knew she made him want to excel and be better. To be worthy of her, which he was, but only when at his best.
Katie said, “Thanks for doing that dragging,” she giggled, “Though I wasn’t expecting that to happen for a while yet. I haven’t been out on a date in… well since longer than you’ve been alive.”
He took her hand, which made her grin. He also noticed a nearby woman do a double take, considering her words implied she was at least forty, and that Katie now looked… now did have a body and face of nineteen or twenty years of age, it must’ve been confusing for the eavesdropper.
Sadie interjected, “Yes, thanks for this, Ryan.”
He took Sadie’s hand too and squeezed it, and the look of surprise and pleased demure joy on her face made it worth it. It’d been years since they’d held hands, since he was a kid really, but with the resumption of her physical affection he figured it was worth the risk. She seemed to be happy with it, and he enjoyed her hand in his. Both of their hands in his as the case was.
He had a great night that night, maybe he needed to decompress too. It was just fun entertainment, and while he could take or leave a musical, the breath
less enjoyment of Katie and Sadie, and both women dressed up to the nines made it a very worthy effort to his way of thinking. The smiles they wore, and the time spent with them, was the real point, he thought.
The heat between them wasn’t so much simmering but at a boil as they got back to Katie’s room later that night. He took her into his arms as eagerly as she went into them, and she conformed her body tightly to his as their lips met. His deep moan and her sweet sigh as he felt the heat of her supple generous curves against him made him harden in seconds.
She giggled when the kiss broke and bit her lip sexily, as she stroked it firmly through his pants, and her eyes twinkled inches from his as she said, “I had a wonderful time tonight, Ryan,” he moaned as she squeezed his cock through the fabric and said, “I need you now, today was hard, but worth it I think. Fuck Ryan, you’re so hard for me, and I’ve been wet for you for hours. I need you in me.”
He moaned again as he kissed her hungrily, and he reached for the dress’s release while she feverishly undid his pants. Their passionate kiss broke a moment later, and she stepped back with a smile and shimmied her body which made the dress slide down her body. His own pants had fallen to his thighs, and he finished shucking them off as he kicked off his shoes and tore his shirt over his head as soon as he had two buttons undone.
She bit her lip sexily as the dress continued to slide down her body. His cock jumped as it met the cooler air of the room, and then surged as he saw the sexy and racy silk red lingerie panties the love of life had on. Of course, the dress had its own support, so his eyes were also feasting on her tightened pink nipples and generously rounded C cup breasts, but it was the dark wet spot in her panties that gave proof to her naughty words of a few moments ago.
She was soaked for him.
She turned teasingly, and then bent over lewdly at the waist, as she peeled those panties over her waist, and it slipped down her legs once past them. She smiled and giggled as he rushed forward, picked her up, and took her straight to the bed.
