“Don’t look surprised, you know you foul,” he said chewing his food.

“I’m just shocked that you are talking about that. I’m trying to focus on us and you keep bringing that shit up,” I said.

“Whatever, Tassana,” he said finishing his food.

I smiled at him then he chuckled. “What girl?” he asked.

“What would you do if I kissed you?” I asked him.

“Push your ass on the floor. You know you and I are not on that level. I don’t know where your mouth been at,” he said to me.

“I have been here and you know that,” I said walking around the kitchen island. “What are you ready to do?” he asked grilling me. I leaned in on him then kissed him. He didn’t kiss me back but he didn’t fight it.

I bit his bottom lip urging him to kiss me back. His hands slowly went up to my hips then he pulled me closer to him. I pulled away then wiped my lip-gloss off his lips.

“That wasn’t so bad was it?” I asked him smiling.

“Don’t get cute shorty,” he said getting up. He walked up the stairs then came back down with a clean work shirt.

“I will see you later,” I called out to him.

“Yeah, whatever,” he said leaving out of the door.

  Kauzie

I had to hurry up and get out of the house. Tassana had my dick brick hard. Something about her lips did something to me. I think I was missing Tokyo to the point that it was driving me crazy. I tried calling Tokyo again and her phone was still out of service. I went back to work with a lot on my mind. Was Tassana really trying to change? Should I fall back off Tokyo and focus on Tassana, a woman who had been in my life for years? I was confused. All I wanted to do was talk to Tokyo to see where her head was at.

The house would be finished in two months. I hope Tokyo was back by then. If not, I might just sell it. We finished up the two cars we were working on at the shop. Afterwards, I headed back home. Tassana was in the kitchen cutting up things for a salad, as she danced around shaking her ass.

“Throw that ass in a circle, throw that ass in a circle,” she sang popping her ass out.

I smacked her on the ass then she jumped.

“Make some noise when you come in. Damn nigga, you almost gave me a heart attack,” she fussed.

“I did make some noise. You were in a zone weren’t you? What have you been doing, squats or something? Your ass has gotten juicer,” I said feeling on it again. It jiggled and I squeezed it.

“You just haven’t touched it in a while,” she said.

“That could be it. I think you gained weight or something. I mean something is off about you,” I said.

“I gained weight? Damn it Kauzie, do you have to be so damn rude? I know I have put on some pounds. All I do is sit in this house and fucking eat. I haven’t been going out,” she yelled. She was telling the truth. Tassana used to always be gone.

“I’m not saying it looks bad on you,” I said.

“Fuck you nigga. Fix your own shit. I’m sick of your damn attitude. All I have been doing is being nice to your dumb ass and you tell me some stupid shit about my weight,” she said, slamming the bowl of lettuce down. It flopped everywhere.

“Calm the fuck down, Tassana. It’s not bad. I kind of find it attractive. You filling out, that’s all. Maybe you have been like this. I just haven’t looked at you like that in a while. I mean really looked at you,” I said smirking. Her attitude eased up.

“You still fixing your own damn dinner,” she said switching out of the kitchen.

“That bitch crazy,” I thought aloud, picking up the lettuce then trashing it.

  The next day…

It was my day off and I was chilling in the hood with No Hands.

“So, Tassana is finally getting her some act right?” No Hands asked me.

“I guess, but I still want to know what’s up with Tokyo. She’s been on my mind heavily. It makes it no better that Tassana has some of her ways. Yo, I almost slipped up and fucked her. She kissed me and my man got hard. She couldn’t get me hard for a long time and when I did get hard, I had to think about Tokyo’s sexy ass,” I said shaking my head.

“You got it bad,” No Hands laughed.

“What’s up with you and Kyree?” I asked him.

“She talking to me now, but it’s forced. I always have to call her. When she answers the phone her answers are dry. I think I need to calm down and drop some of these bitches,” No Hands laughed.

“Some? Nigga how about all,” I said.

“Have you heard from Tudos? That nigga didn’t even hit me yet. I called him and his phone is disconnected. Yo, he and Tokyo’s phones are tripping,” No Hands said.

“You think she’s with him?” I asked No Hands.

“Hell no, Tokyo can’t stand that nigga. Come on, don’t do her like that,” No Hands said.

“I just find it odd that both of their phones are off,” I said. Now I’m really thinking Tokyo is up to some sneaky shit. Maybe she and Tudos were fronting like they didn’t like each other.

“I’m not believing that one my nigga,” No Hands said as an Infinity pulled up. A dark-skinned, slim, curvy chick got out with a short haircut. It was No Hands’ baby mama, Rica. Kyree was going to fuck this nigga up.

She carried the baby in the baby carrier. I could tell she was pissed off by the look on her face. Rica wasn’t attractive, she just carried herself in a decent way. She had a good job and had her own house. You didn’t hear anything in the streets about her. She was a cool, down to earth girl.

“You need to start calling before you just pop up over here,” No Hands said to Rica.

“Well nigga, you need to wear those fake fucking hands you got and answer the fucking phone,” Rica said. She got their son out of the carrier. He looked just like No Hands.

“Shut the fuck up. Give me my damn son and go on about your business,” No Hands said.

“Hey, Kauzie, how are you?” Rica asked me.

“I’m good shorty just cooling? What’s up with you though? Why are you tripping on my nigga?” I asked laughing. She rolled her eyes at me.

“Take your ugly ass on, Rica,” No Hands said.

“You wasn’t saying that when you was humping me now were you?” Rica asked him.

“Shorty, I’m fucking handicapped, I don’t discriminate. I get in where I fit in. Now, take your ass home and let me spend time with my son. I will call you. If I don’t then that means my phone slipped from my hands and I can’t pick it up. Get gone now,” No Hands replied. Rica grilled him then stormed off.

I went inside of No Hands’ crib to grab his hands. This nigga needed to wear his shit twenty-four seven. I don’t know why he didn’t.

I took them to him and hurried up and grabbed his son, Savian, before he fell on the ground. No Hands didn’t have a good grip on him. Savian had to be around seven months old.

“Put your hands on nigga. What is wrong with you? You are about to drop your son and shit,” I said to him. After he put them on, I could see the hurt in his eyes.

“Yo, you good?” I asked him.

“Yeah, I can’t even hold my fucking son without wearing this shit. I feel like a fucking Transformer when I put these things on,” he said angrily. I felt bad for him because he wasn’t born that way. I know he joked about it but I could see it still messed with him. I gave him his son back.

“Be thankful you are still here nigga and kicking it. Wear those hands man. People are out here dying from illnesses and are about to leave their loved ones behind. I bet they wish all they could lose was their hands and not their lives,” I said.

“Yeah, you are right. I’m out here trying to fuck all of these bitches, thinking it’s going to make me feel normal. Kyree has been riding with a nigga. Now, look at me. I had a baby on her by a bitch I can’t even look at for two seconds. Rica’s face makes my stomach turn,” he said and I shook my head.

“You got to tell Kyree about your seed though man. Make it right my
nigga,” I said to him.

“I can’t. I’m going to spend time with my son then ask my mother if she can come and scoop him up. I’m not ready for Kyree to find out,” he said. I shook my head.

“Be safe then nigga. I’m about to head out, hit me up later,” I said to him.

I went home, took a shower then got dressed. I was ready to meet up with my brother, Jessup at Loafers Bar and Grill. Tassana walked through the door with a button-up shirt and skirt on. She slammed her purse down on the table then went into the fridge, grabbing a bottle of wine. She guzzled it then burped loudly. She looked at me and rolled her eyes.

“Damn, I knew you were a thirsty ass broad but say excuse me,” I said.

“Nigga, don’t fuck with me. I had a long ass day at work. I swear that shit was wild. And Kyree’s crazy, ghetto ass didn’t make it any better,” she stated, kicking her heels off. Tassana and Kyree working together was hard to imagine.

“That’s because you are not use to working,” I said to her. I went through the mail sorting out the bills. Tassana looked at me.

“What are those for?” she asked me.

“Electric bill, water bill, and cable,” I said.

“Hand it here. I’ll help you pay them,” she said holding her hand out.

“You sure?” I asked her just to hear her response.

“Yeah, I get paid every week so hand them here,” she said to me.

“Naw, stack your money up. You just started working. I got it, just keep doing what you’re doing far as in cleaning up and shit like that,” I said to her.

“Whatever. What are you getting ready to do? You are not about to go see Mya are you?” she asked me.

“Naw, I’m chilling on that. But what’s up with the questions? We are not together shorty,” I replied. She smiled then licked her lips.

“Well in that case, let me come with you. I need some air,” she said.

“Hell no, call Kai or one of your grimy ass friends,” I said grabbing my keys.

“Oh nigga, you got me fucked up. I’m coming with you and I don’t give a damn what you say. I had a long damn work week. I’m not sitting up in this house,” she fussed.

“Man, hurry the fuck up. Ten minutes or I’m leaving you,” I said to her.

“Ten minutes to wash my ass and get dressed?” she responded.

“Yeah, don’t get brand new. You haven’t been washing your ass like that. Hurry up, Tassana,” I said to her. She stormed up the stairs then slammed the bathroom door.

“Stop slamming shit before I come up there to choke your dirty ass,” I laughed.

She opened the door. “Fuck you, Kauzie with your skinny dick ass. Number two pencil,” she said laughing.

I chuckled then went into the living room, turned the TV on, and rolled a blunt. I fired it up then got comfortable. My mind wandered and Tokyo popped up. I called her every day and still no answer. If she was with Tudos, I was killing them. For some reason, I felt like they were together. They left the same damn day. It was messing my head up.

Tassana came downstairs wearing a pair of ripped jeans and a white, loose, off the shoulder shirt. On her feet were some nude pumps. Her makeup was natural and her lipstick was a soft pink. She always looked classy, but looks could be deceiving. She was a bad, thick broad. I wouldn’t take that away from her.

“You look good,” I said to her. She rolled her eyes. Tassana had been really feeling herself lately. I think she was trying to act like Tokyo because she knew that I was in love with her.

“Let me hit that,” she said reaching for it.

“Naw shorty, this is some straight kush. This shit here will burn a hole in your chest. I know your money hungry ass would sue me after some shit like that happens,” I said laughing.

“Let me hit that. You said I was sneaky remember? Therefore, you don’t know what the fuck I be doing,” she snapped.

“I can’t stand your ass,” I told her giving her the blunt. She snatched it.

“Good, I can’t stand your ass either. You make my ass itch with that funky ass attitude. This morning I had to look in the trashcan to see if you had a dirty pad in there. You are worse than a bitch on her period,” she said to me. I wanted to slap her ass. I mushed her as hard as I could.

“Watch your fucking mouth,” I gritted then she blew me a kiss. I walked out of the door she followed behind me. I unlocked the truck door then got in, starting the truck up. When Tassana got halfway in, I backed up and she slipped.

  I burst out into laughter.

“That’s what your ass gets. Keep popping slick with me girl,” I laughed at her. She got in then popped me on the back of the head.

“You evil, yellow fucker!” She laughed just as hard as I did. I stopped laughing then looked at her. She wasn’t even mad. I’m sure her pumps had a scrape on them. She would’ve shit a brick by now.

“What?” she asked me fixing her hair.

“Nothing, I’m just surprised you are not tripping,” I said to her.

  “About what?” she asked.

  “Your shoes,” I said.

She waved me off. “Nigga, I don’t care about that. Damn, Kauzie, let’s just enjoy the night. Some drinks and some good food,” she said playing with my dreads.

“You want to kiss me, don’t you? Go ahead honey, I don’t bite,” she said giggling. I turned away from her. She wasn’t lying. I wanted to kiss her, but it was Tassana. What the hell is this girl trying to do to me? I asked myself.

It was a thirty-five minute drive to Baltimore from Annapolis. When we arrived at Loafers, the parking lot was crowded.

Loud music was playing as we walked in. Tassana put her arm through mine when she noticed a few females eyeing me. I looked down at her then shook my head.

“Damn these hoes are thirsty,” she fussed.

“I’m a good looking nigga, what you expect?” I asked smirking. She blushed then turned away. While we were sitting at the bar, Jessup text me telling me he was around the corner. He lived only a few minutes away.

Tassana ordered a Patrón Margarita and I ordered two shots of Henny.

“No wine tonight?” I asked her.

“Nope, I need a hard drink. I had a long week and you don’t make it any better,” she said taking a sip of her drink.

“I apologize for that,” I said to her.

“Whatever. So, have you heard from Tokyo?” she asked me.

“Naw, I’m not even worried about that,” I lied.

“Oh, really? You have been walking around like you lost your best friend,” she said.

“I felt like I have. Despite what you think about her, she is a good person. She understands me on levels that you don’t. Let me ask you a question,” I said to her.

  “What’s up?” she replied.

“How can you deal with a nigga for years and not know his favorite color, favorite food, nothing? We took each other’s virginity and we still haven’t connected. We don’t even have any fucking kids Tassana. We wasted so much time,” I said downing my drink. Her eyes watered then she excused herself. I tried to grab her hand, but she snatched away from me. I didn’t want to bring that up, but that shit always bothered me.

  Tokyo

I went into the bathroom to cry my eyes out. Kauzie wanted answers that I couldn’t give him. He missed me, but I wasn’t gone anywhere. I had to deal with this shit and my heart couldn’t take seeing him like this. Tassana wasn’t answering her phone and I even called Kai. She told me she hadn’t talked to Tassana neither. That bitch hung up on me before I could ask further questions. Her grimy ass knew all about us switching. I was sure she knew more. I felt like I was being played. I didn’t believe Tassana would lie about being sick. She looked very sick when I saw her. Maybe I was overreacting. All I had to do was get Kauzie loving her again then I could be gone out of their lives.

I wiped my face off then went back to the bar. Kauzie had started on another drink. His drinking had increased and I was sure it had a lot to do w
ith me.

He grabbed my face looking into my eyes.

“What are you crying for?” he asked me.

“I’m sorry I hurt you, but I wasn’t happy with myself. I always felt like I came second to Tokyo. I really do love you and if I can turn back the hands of time, I would. I’m sorry for everything I did to you. We started off too young and I wasn’t ready. We grew up too fast and I always wanted to know what it was like to explore. I never had the chance,” I said.

“Why couldn’t you just tell me that shit? You went out and cheated on me,” he said looking into my eyes.

“I know and I regret it. That’s why I’m trying to make everything right,” I responded. If Tassana wasn’t sick, I would kick her ass for treating him this bad. Why did I have to be in love with him?
