After we left the restaurant, I was stuffed. Osari drove to a hotel. Soon as I got to the room, I took a shower. It felt so good for the hot water to beat against my body and against where Tudos struck me at.
Osari was sitting on the couch watching the flat screen on the wall. The scenery behind him was beautiful. The big windows showed almost all of the city lights. Osari had his foot propped up on the coffee table. His pretty eyes looked at me as I sat on the chair next to him. I still had my towel wrapped around me.
“You don’t trust me but you want me to be with you for a few weeks?” I asked him.
“You really need to know when it’s the right time to talk. I don’t feel like saying shit to you right now,” he said to me.
“Why do you have scars on you like that?” I asked him.
“I was stabbed six times,” he said to me watching T.V.
“For what?” I asked him.
“None of your fucking business,” he said getting up then going to the mini bar.
“You have a troubled past don’t you? What are you, a product of a crackhead mama? Your daddy hustled or was he an alcoholic? Is he either dead or in jail? You had to hustle to take care of your siblings? Isn’t that the typical drug dealer story?” I asked him.
“I swear if you get any dumber you would be brain dead. You must read a lot of those damn urban fiction novels. Why are you a whore? Were you raped by your father, an uncle or what? Did your mother get high and sell your ass to a nigga she owed money to?” he asked me.
“No, I came from a good family. My father is a butcher and my mother works with people who has disabilities,” I said.
“My mother is blind, she was born that way. Some niggas broke into the home and tried to rape her. I came home from school and saw it and was trying to fuck them niggas up. Well, they stabbed me up. It was some type of gang initiation. My father was pulling up in the driveway and heard the noises. He was stabbed to death trying to save us. I flat lined twice. I was only thirteen years old then. My father was a hard-working man, never had a sip of fucking alcohol. So, your little theory is all the way fucked up,” Osari said taking a sip.
“I apologize,” I said feeling bad. He waved me off.
“My mother is still living that’s all that matters,” he said.
“Sisters or brothers?” I asked him.
“None of your business. I told you too much when I didn’t want to, but I wanted to correct you on some shit,” he said to me. I yawned then stood up. I walked into the bedroom.
“Are you coming to bed?” I called out to Osari.
“Naw, I don’t trust a bitch enough to sleep next to one,” he shouted from the living room. Maybe I could make Osari fall for me then take some of his money. Afterwards, I could go back home and leave this place for good. Maybe I could loosen up and do whatever Osari wanted me to do. Tudos could kiss my ass goodbye because I was never going back to him. Maybe I could set it up to have Osari think Tudos set him up. I needed to come up with a plan to dodge both of their crazy asses. I went to sleep with a smile on my face.
The next morning, I woke up and got out of bed naked. Osari shouldn’t have told me that about his parents. He just gave me a green light that he was loosening up to me. When I walked into the living room, he was sleep with his hand in his pants.
I went into the bathroom to get a robe. I came back out then burst into tears as I got a glass of water from out of the kitchen. I sobbed really loudly making sure I woke him up.
“Would you shut the fuck up?” he shouted. I cried harder. Osari got up then walked over to me. He slapped me on the back of my head.
“Didn’t I tell your ass stop doing all that crying shit?” he asked me, pissed off. I hugged him tightly pressing my breasts against his chest. My robe flew open as I hugged him even tighter.
“I have done a lot of fucked up things to people. I’m tired of living like this. I sold my soul to the devil for materialistic shit. My family don’t want me, I don’t know what to do,” I sobbed. He pushed me off of him.
“Chill the hell out. You will be alright long as you know how you was living is wrong,” he said going back to the living room. I followed him with my robe open still.
“I’m so sorry for judging you. I had no business doing that. I’m so lost, Osari. I’m far away from home and I just don’t know what to do,” I cried. I laid my head in his lap and surprisingly he didn’t push me off of him. Even people like Osari had a soft spot, and I was going to find his.
“Since you are down there you might as well deep throat it,” he said playing with my hair. I unzipped his pants and blessed him with some morning head.
Kauzie
Tassana hadn’t been home in a few weeks. I’d been calling her and she’d been keeping it short with me. Something was up with her. She called me today and told me she had to tell me something. Now, I was home sitting on the couch waiting for her to come through to talk. Before she just disappeared on me, she was staying in her room and ignoring me. Something was up with her.
I heard a car door shut and keys jiggling by the door. Seconds later, she walked in the living room. She had bags around her eyes like all she had been doing was crying.
“I need to get a few things off of my chest,” she said sitting down.
“Okay, go ahead,” I said to her.
“I’m pregnant,” she said. I shook my head because I wasn’t surprised. I had forgotten how much of a hoe she really was.
“Yo, are you serious? I was starting to loosen up to you, and then you hit me with this shit? Get your dirty ass out of my fucking crib, Tassana,” I said to her.
“I’m pregnant by you,” she said, and I wanted to slap her ass. I hadn’t shot any of my seeds in Tassana in I don’t know how long.
“How in the fuck are you pregnant by me, Tassana? How can you sit there and lie to me about this shit? What, the nigga don’t want shit to do with you and you want to pin that baby on me?” I yelled making her cry harder.
I jacked her up. “How and the fuck is that my fucking baby? Answer me damn it,” I said to her.
“It’s me, Tokyo,” she cried. I punched the wall next to her. I almost knocked Tassana out. Now this crazy bitch was trying to play mind games with me.
“Get your ass out,” I said yanking her towards the door. She snatched away from me.
“How can you love me when you don’t even realize who I am? I have been here, not her. Tokyo has been here with you. Me nigga. All this shit was me, all fucking me!” she yelled.
“I don’t believe this,” I said confused. She went into her purse then grabbed some papers handing them to me. One was a sonogram picture. I looked at the name and it was Tokyo’s name on it. She was nine weeks pregnant.
I had to sit down and get my thoughts together.
“I’m sooooo sorry, Kauzie,” she said to me, hugging on me. I pulled her arms away from me.
“So you’ve been here the whole time?” I asked her.
“Yes, I have. Tassana wanted me to switch with her. She wanted you to fall in love with her again. She thought maybe if I can become her then it would work,” Tokyo sobbed. I started laughing.
“Y’all played me like that, huh? Was that y’all scheme from the beginning? You know, both of y’all are some sneaky ass bitches,” I said shaking my head. Tokyo started telling me a story about Tassana being sick. I wanted to slap her dumb ass for even entertaining that shit.
“Tassana is too money hungry to die young. I can’t believe you would let her fuck up what we were trying to build,” I said to her.
“She is my sister. I felt guilty about sleeping with you,” Tokyo said.
“The fact that you feel guilty means you regret it. So you’re basically telling me that after I told you how I felt, you still let that shit ride knowing that you were going to regret it?” I asked her. She put her head down.
“Kauzie, don’t do this to me,” she said.
“Do what, Tokyo? You don’t give a fucking nigga up t
hat you love. I don’t give a damn if that bitch was on oxygen and she was on her last tank. You don’t do that shit. It don’t work like that, Tokyo. Just get the fuck out of my face!” I said to her.
If Tokyo wasn’t pregnant with my seed I would’ve choked the hell out of her; Tassana, too, when I saw her. Both of those bitches would be dying together. They played me. I was getting sick and worried about Tokyo, and the bitch had been in my face the whole time. I looked at Tassana’s necklace that was around Tokyo’s neck. The funny thing about that was it was being worn by its rightful owner. I bought that necklace for Tokyo, but Tassana found it in my room. Instead of speaking up, I let Tassana believed it was hers.
Tokyo hugged me, squeezing me.
“I’m so sorry, I’m sorry,” she said kissing my face.
“Hug me back. Do something,” she said to me. I walked away from her.
“I need to think,” I said to her. I couldn’t even be excited that Tokyo was giving me a baby. A girl that I was close to over the years was about to give me a baby.
“So, what does this means, Aqel?” she asked calling me by my government name.
“I can’t believe this shit. I put my hands on you while you are pregnant, all of that shit. I almost fucked you up when you cut my clothes up. This shit all makes sense now. Tassana wouldn’t have done anything like that,” I said to her.
“Let me know when it’s time to move into our new house,” Tokyo said grabbing her purse.
“What?” I asked her.
“Oh, nigga, you fucking heard me. You knocked me up. That’s what you wanted right? All your slick comments and a big house for a family? You don’t remember that shit? Well I do, so let me know when it’s finished. My baby and I ain’t living up in here,” Tokyo said rolling her neck.
I scratched my chin then crossed my arms. Tokyo crossed her arms, too, and then grilled me. I kept my game face on. She was sexy as hell when she got hood on me, but that little cute stuff wasn’t going to work right now.
“So you lie to a nigga, pretend to be your hoe ass sister and now you demanding us living together? Who said I wanted you?” I asked her.
“Kauzie, shut your light bright ass up, nigga. You ain’t all of that. I don’t give a damn if you don’t want me. Hell nigga, you better. Your horny ass knocked me up. I’m not being a single mother; I have enough on my fucking plate. Now, take me to get something to eat. I don’t want to talk about this anymore. I’m kicking Tassana’s ass when I see her. I’m going to act like everything is all good, but when that bitch touches down, she has an ass whipping coming her way,” Tokyo fussed.
“I’m not taking your ass nowhere. You can take your ghetto ass home though,” I said to her. I walked past her grabbing her ass. I had to count to ten five times so I wouldn’t go off on her. Her being pregnant was the only thing that was keeping me calm, but to say I was hurt was an understatement.
“UMPH. Since you took all of this pipe back there, you’ve gotten a lil’ phatter,” I said to her.
“Asshole,” she said clocking me with her purse.
“Let’s go,” she said to me. I shook my head as I followed her out of the door.
“Where you want to go at?” I asked Tokyo.
“A soul food spot. I want some chicken feet and potato salad,” she said putting her lip-gloss on. I smacked the lip-gloss out of her hand.
“What are you putting all that shit on your lips for? I don’t like that kind with the glitter in it. That shit is childish, Tokyo,” I said to her. I knew she couldn’t wait to get back to herself.
“Oh, whatever. I have been miserable. I want my normal self, back. Tassana’s life drained me and your cheating ass ain’t make it any better. I caught you red-handed, condom still on, you dirty fucker. That shit still upsets me, Kauzie. How could you do me like that?” Tokyo asked me.
“I could answer that, but I’m not. Last time I checked, I was doing all that shit to Tassana,” I said. Tokyo punched me in the arm.
“Keep your hands to yourself. Can’t you see I’m not trying to lose my cool?” I asked her.
A tear slid down her face. “That shit really hurt me,” she said.
“It wasn’t meant for you to get hurt. You want to be mad? Be mad at yourself. You were working with a bitch to manipulate me into being with her. You wanted me to be with another woman. So let me guess, Tassana wanted you to get me comfortable enough to fuck her raw too? Straight played your ass. That bitch wanted me to knock her up. She wanted to trap me and your dumb fucking ass was going to help her do it. So, both of y’all probably would’ve had a baby by the same nigga. Fucking two sisters is bad. I get that. However, I was leaving her for YOU. You don’t love me, Tokyo. If you did, you wouldn’t have done that shit, plain and simple. We can live in the new house and raise our baby together, but you and I ain’t where it’s at. I showed you how you deserved to be treated. I broke my fucking back for you. I almost went fucking broke fixing that house up. But you wasn’t thinking about none of that. All you were thinking about was feeling guilty and getting Tassana to forgive you, when she wasn’t going to no matter what you had done for her,” I said to her.
“You done with me? We’ve been friends for years!” she screamed at me.
“I don’t trust you or Tassana. Both of y’all play mind games. You had me looking like a bitch nigga, moping around when you was there staring me in my face the whole fucking time. You probably got a kick out of that shit,” I said to her. I pulled up to Red Lobster.
“I thought I told you what I wanted,” she said getting out of the truck.
“You are not feeding my baby that shit,” I said to her. She rolled her eyes.
“Roll them again, Tokyo,” I said to her.
When we sat down, she stared at me.
“So, are you going to start treating me like how you was doing, Tassana?” she asked me. I didn’t answer her. My phone beeped while it was on the table. I looked at my phone then Tokyo snatched it from me.
I shook my head. “You don’t like it do you? Didn’t you used to go through my phone?” she asked me. I waved her off. She unlocked my phone. I didn’t even know she knew the code.
“Mya sent you a picture of her big pussy hole. The caption reads ‘I’m waiting for you.’ This shit looks like a cave. I ought to punch you in the damn throat. Your dick is big but it ain’t that damn big,” she said sending Mya a text back.
“Order your food, so I can go home and away from you,” I said to her.
“I’m sorry, Kauzie,” she said.
I banged on the table. “Sorry ain’t fucking cutting it, Tokyo. I’m done with you. Now, let’s hurry up and order the food so I can get away from you. The sooner the better,” I said to her. She started crying. I never wanted to make Tokyo cry and I was even pissed that I was the reason she was crying, but she had me questioning her love for me. You don’t offer a nigga up to someone else if you love them, under any circumstances.
Tokyo
After we ate dinner, Kauzie took me back to his house. He didn’t say anything else to me. I know he was mad at me and it would take him a while to get over it. The day I fainted in the parking lot was when I found out I was pregnant. I had gotten so stressed out I wasn’t eating. The doctor told me if I continued down that road of destruction that I would lose my baby. Instead of going home, I went back to Kyree’s house. That was where I’d been spending all of my time. Now that I was no longer living a lie, I felt free.
Kyree was sitting on her couch drinking a beer while watching the show “Power.”
“See, Tasha needs to whip Angela’s ass. Angela’s pale ass is fucking the shit out of her husband. Sorta like how Tassana was going to be fucking Kauzie if you wouldn’t have switched back when you did,” Kyree said.
“Oh, shut the hell up, Kyree. I’m not for your shit. What life do you have outside of No Hands? Oh, don’t worry, I will wait for that answer,” I said kicking off my shoes.
“So, you finally told him?” she asked me. I
got teary-eyed. “He doesn’t love me anymore,” I sobbed.
“Ewwwww, you sounded like Evette from Baby Boy when Jody slammed the door in her face. Remember that scene? She got in the car crying to her friend as it rained really hard. You sounded just like her,” Kyree said.
“You really need to stop watching TV,” I said to her wiping my eyes.
“Let’s take those tracks out of your hair, wash it then braid it up. I bought this dark purple braiding hair and I think it would look cute on you,” Kyree said.
I have never bonded with a female this much, but Kyree had become a shoulder to lean on. She got on my nerves and I wanted to choke her sometimes, but she had been here for me. Underneath it all, she was just like me. People judged her before they got to know her. Kyree was a loyal person and No Hands really didn’t deserve her.
After we washed my hair then braided it, we were exhausted. I checked my phone and Kauzie had not called or texted me.
