“Just enjoy it, Julie,” he said softly. “I promise I will reward you for taking your punishment so well.”
His words sent her mind reeling. She loved being bent over this bench and completely exposed, forced to take what he gave her. The taps on her pussy were more forceful now, and when he began to smack her ass cheeks with the riding crop, alternating them, she thought she’d go out of her mind with need.
It burned and stung like crazy, but she was also so aroused that an orgasm began to build. Each tap on her pussy brought it closer, and each stinging swat on her ass intensified the combination of pain and pleasure. When he finally stopped, she was covered in sweat and panting.
He gave her water to drink, and then stood in her line of vision and slowly took off his clothes. She would never grow tired of seeing his muscled, hard body. He was so fucking gorgeous she could hardly believe it.
He walked painstakingly slowly to the cabinet again and took out condom wrappers, then tortured her some more as he took his time putting one on. He picked up a bottle of lube and finally went behind her again. “I’m going to fuck your pussy until you beg me to stop, Julie. And then I’m going to fuck your ass.”
She couldn’t speak. She could only groan and cry out as he plunged his dick into her wet and swollen pussy. He fucked her rough and deep, reaching under to play with the nipple clamps at the same time. Each time he touched one it sent a jolt straight to her clit, and it didn’t take long for the climax to crash over her.
Maddox continued to fuck her, now playing with her sore clit, until another orgasm began to build. “We’re not done yet, Julie.”
She tossed her head back and forth and moaned and screamed until her throat was raw. Everything hurt, but she didn’t care. She wanted this strong, sexy man to use her up. He waited until her climax was close, and then he pulled out and filled her ass with lube. Julie whimpered with anticipation, and when he slid his dick into her asshole and flicked her clit, she exploded in a dizzying climax.
Maddox fucked her ass, his thrusts more gentle than they’d been in her pussy, but the sensation was just as exquisite. When he finally came, he whispered her name over and over. He pulled out and took off his condom, and then he unbound her and helped her stand up. He held her in his arms and stroked her hair, her back, and her sore ass.
“Will you stay with me tonight, Julie?”
“Yes. I’ll stay with you always, Maddox.”
Chapter Twenty
Sean had only been sleeping a few hours Thursday afternoon when his cell rang. It was Chad. “Don’t you sleep?” asked Sean.
“I can now, and so can you.”
“What do you mean?”
“Dean just called. His contacts in Chicago just informed him that Kane is back there.”
Sean was suddenly wide-awake. “What?”
“He’s gone. Left Racy and is back home.”
“That’s weird.”
“Yeah, I agree, but at least now we can relax.”
After Sean disconnected the call, he stared at the wall for a long time. Why had Kane come here in the first place? He might be back in Chicago now, but Sean knew he wouldn’t rest easy for a long time. It wasn’t like Kane to just back down. Something was brewing.
He was about to turn on the TV when his doorbell rang. Hoping it was Julie, he opened the door to find Maddox standing on his front stoop. “Well. Now I know the world is going to end. You came out of your house.”
Maddox smiled and stepped inside. “Actually, I’m surprised you didn’t hear about this. I was out last night.”
Sean raised his eyebrows. That was a surprise.
“Can we talk? It’s about Julie.”
The hairs on Sean’s arms prickled “Is she all right?”
“She’s fine. But you might want to make me a drink. And make yourself one, too.”
Sean poured them each a generous shot of Jack Daniel’s and took a seat across the sofa from Maddox. If he’d hurt Julie in any way, Maddox would find himself on the wrong side of Sean’s fist. “Okay. I’m listening.”
“Julie and I joined Kari, Noah, Adison, Chase, Luke and Alexa at Luke’s Bar last night, and then we went to Nan’s Place.”
Sean took a large sip of his drink, hating the jealousy that coursed through his body. He’d been alone with her Tuesday afternoon, after all. It was only natural that she’d want to spend time alone with Maddox as well, but Sean still wished it hadn’t happened.
“And then she spent the night with me.”
Okay. He didn’t have to fucking rub it in. “You want a medal or something, Maddox?”
“Sean, I’m not here to shove these facts under your nose.”
Sean drained his drink and rose to pour another. “Then why are you here?”
“Julie told me last night that she wants to be a sub to both of us of. She said she’s been fantasizing about being submissive for years. She wants us both, okay? And I’m not any more thrilled about it than you are.”
Sean didn’t turn around right away because he didn’t want Maddox to see the look of triumph and joy he knew would be visible on his face right now. “And what did you say to that?”
“I told her I’ve never shared a sub and I’m not sure how I feel about doing so, but I wasn’t going to give her up.”
Sean turned around and studied Maddox’s face. If he wasn’t in love with Julie, Sean would eat the empty bottle of Jack. Fuck it all. They both felt the same way about her, and now it was out in the open that she wanted to be a sub to both of them. What a cluster fuck. How the hell had this happened? “So what do you think we should do?” he asked quietly.
“First I want to know how you feel about her.” Maddox’s voice held a desperate note that Sean had never heard before.
“Maddox, I think it’s pretty obvious how we both feel about her.”
Maddox nodded. “Okay. I know. And she didn’t say it, but I think she’s in love with both of us. Or at least she thinks it’s love. I’m still not sure if Julie is ready for this, but I know how badly she wants to believe she is.”
“You mean being a sub or being in love?”
Maddox drained his drink and Sean walked over to take the glass from him.
“I don’t know,” he said. “Maybe both.”
Sean poured Maddox another drink. “She’s only been in love once from what she told me, and that didn’t turn out very well.”
“I haven’t told her about Marie.”
“And I haven’t told her about Kane and Sarina.”
“She doesn’t know why you and Chad were on stakeout?”
Sean turned around and shook his head. “Not unless you or Chase told her. And I only told Chase because he promised to call Julie if things got out of hand and anything happened to me.”
“We didn’t say anything directly to her, but the subject did come up last night at Luke’s Bar. Chase was pretty drunk and let it slip that you and Chad were watching someone from Chicago.”
Fuck. “What did she say?”
“Nothing, but I could tell she was wondering about it.”
Sean took his seat again. “You going to tell her about Marie?”
“I have to. She deserves to know why I’m so gun-shy.”
“Maddox, I’m willing to do this if you are, but we have to be on the same page. This is hard enough for Julie without us bickering or acting like damn peacocks.”
“I agree. That’s why I’m here. Sean, I love her. You may as well know that up front. And I’m willing to try this, too, because I can’t give her up.”
Sean took a seat on the sofa and clinked his glass against Maddox’s glass. “I feel the same way, my friend.”

The rest of February and the first week of March passed by for Julie in a blur of dinners and movies with Maddox and Sean, evenings at Luke’s Bar with Kari, Noah, Adison, Chase, Luke, and Alexa, and long walks in the cold to stroll through the shops downtown or walk along the river. Sean kept his Tuesday afternoon fake appointmen
ts, and if Linda had said anything about them outside the office, Julie hadn’t heard about it. She was going to give Linda a big, fat raise.
Julie also spent time alone with Maddox at least once a week. The sex with both men, individually and together, was just as incredible as ever, and they eased Julie into the lifestyle a bit more every day.
She wore what they asked her to wear underneath her professional dress, and when she was going out with them individually or together outside of work, they chose her outfits. The more comfortable she grew with dressing to please them, the more confident she became in and out of bed. Simply the act of allowing them to help her come out of her shell by choosing different types of clothing changed the way she viewed herself. The only time she wore her hair in a ponytail was for work, otherwise she wore it loose like they’d both asked her to.
She became more comfortable with them showing affection to her in public, and even stopped scanning the crowds when they went out to first make sure none of her clients were in the restaurant, shop or theater.
She asked both men if they had come to some sort of arrangement about sharing her, and both alluded to one, but the discussions only went so far. Julie finally decided that they’d tell her when they were ready to, so she simply accepted things as they were. Neither man was uncivil to the other, and in fact they seemed to be getting along better than they had when she’d first become involved with them.
She didn’t know the details of the stakeout Sean and Chad had been on the previous month, but Sean did finally tell her that it had something to do with a person he’d known in Chicago, and that it seemed to be over.
Maddox took her into one of the parlors during an evening at his house and told her about Marie. Julie didn’t tell him that Kari had mentioned Marie because she didn’t want Maddox to think the others had been gossiping about him to her.
“She was my sub,” he explained. “We met while I was working in Chicago, and she moved here to Racy after my father decided to give us part of our inheritances rather than have us wait until he died to receive all the money.”
“The memories of her must make it difficult for you to live here.”
He shook his head. “No, not anymore.”
“What happened between you two to end things?”
“She liked to flirt with other Doms. Not just flirt, actually. She was downright bold and seductive toward them. No one took her up on the offers out of respect for me, but I couldn’t take any more. She tried to tell me she was doing it to earn a spanking but I finally got my head out of my ass and realized that simply wasn’t true. She was doing it for herself and nothing more, and even though she knew how much it hurt me, she kept doing it. I didn’t feel as if I could trust her.”
“I'm sorry, Maddox. That must have been so painful for you.”
“It was at the time. I loved her, Julie. She treated me like shit, but I loved her.”
Julie nodded. “Maddox, I think loving someone who treats you like shit is a rite of passage.”
“I haven’t had a sub since Marie. You need to know that.”
“I’m honored that you chose me then.”
“And I’m honored that you wanted me as one of your Doms, Julie.”
It was on the tip of Julie’s tongue that night to tell him that she loved him, but when he kissed her that thought drifted away like the wisp of a dream.

The second Wednesday in March, Sean was getting ready to go out for the evening with Maddox and Julie. They had plans to go to a movie and then to Nan’s Place. His cell rang, and he answered it without checking the caller ID, thinking it was one of them.
“Sean, it’s Chad. We have trouble again.”
Sean’s heart began to race. “What’s up?”
“Kane has just checked into the same motel he was in last month. The manager called Dean about an hour ago to let him know.”
“Fuck.”
“Dean put some men on the place.”
“Okay. I’ll be out tonight, but call if you hear anything.”
“Will do.”
Sean had no reason to believe Kane would show up the Cineplex Movie Theater or Nan’s Place, but he seriously considered calling Maddox and Julie and asking if they could just meet at Maddox’s house instead. He wasn’t worried about Kane seeing him or Maddox out in public, but he didn’t want Kane to see them with Julie, especially since he wasn’t sure why Kane had been in Racy last month asking about him. Kane was bad news. He might try to hurt Julie just to get back at Sean.
After he finished dressing, he called Dean. “Has Kane moved yet?”
“He hasn’t left the room. A woman arrived shortly after he did, driving a separate car. They ordered pizza a short time ago. We think he’s just shacked up there to be alone with her where no one will find them.”
“Is it Sarina?”
“No one got a good look at her, but they don’t think it is.”
Sean let out a sigh. Dean was probably right. That’s all it was. He’d brought a woman there so no one would see them come and go in Chicago. Knowing Kane, she was probably the wife or girlfriend of a mob boss.
“Sean, go out and have a good time. We’ll call if anything changes.
Chapter Twenty-One
Maddox lived closer to Julie than Sean did, so he picked her up and they met Sean at the theater. Julie thought Sean looked a bit tense, but then he started teasing her about ordering a large popcorn and Coke, and she convinced herself she’d been imagining things again.
They grabbed seats in the back row against the far wall, and Julie sat between them. Sean and Maddox both joked around a lot with her, prompting the teens in front of them to turn around and give them dirty looks, until Sean flashed his badge at them. Julie got a fit of the giggles after that and the only thing that kept them at bay was to drink her Coke faster than she normally would have.
Julie was having so much fun with both men, and she felt like one of the many teens in the theater with them as she ate popcorn and drank soda, throwing her usual caution to the wind. She was so comfortable with them both now, even in a crowded space full of so many Racy residents.
Halfway through the movie, Julie began to wish she’d figured out a better way to keep from laughing. She had to pee, and there was no way it was going to hold until the end of the movie. She whispered to Sean on her left that she’d be right back. The line for the bathroom was way too long, and filled with loud, giggling teens. She couldn’t wait that long, and she didn’t want to listen to the silly gossip going on around her while her bladder was ready to burst.
She headed for a different hallway. The marquees above the theaters were dark here. They didn’t use all twelve of the theaters during the week, only on weekends. Julie no longer had morning appointments on Thursdays, so it had become their habit to go out together on Wednesday nights, but she hadn’t been in this part of the building before during a weekday evening, and it was a bit spooky because it was virtually deserted. But she really had to pee, so she headed for the bathroom.
It was empty, and as she was washing her hands she thought she heard the door open, but when she glanced toward it, no one was there. She dried her hands and mentally chided herself for being so silly. As she opened the door, she caught movement to her left, near the exit doors leading to the back of the building.
As she turned to see what it was, a figure dressed in black moved in front of her. She had no time to react or even scream. Hot fear bubbled up as the person grabbed her and put a cloth over her nose and mouth. She smelled something sweet and then her vision went fuzzy. Someone was carrying her but she couldn’t move. She felt cold air on her face as if she was outside, and then her world went dark.

Sean leaned across Julie’s empty seat and whispered to Maddox. “She’s been gone a long time.”
Maddox frowned. “I’m not going into the ladies’ room to check on her, are you?”
Sean tried to tamp down the uneasy feeling he
had. She’d only gone to the john, for heaven’s sake. She was fine. Except that Julie wasn’t the kind of woman who usually took a ridiculously long time in the bathroom like some women did.
Five more minutes went by, and Sean could no longer concentrate on the movie. He also couldn’t shake the dark foreboding that had settled over his heart. When his cell buzzed, he jumped out of his seat and sprinted down the stairs and out into the hallway.
“What’s up?”
“Kane drove into Racy,” said Dean. “Alone. They followed him downtown an hour ago and thought he was still sitting in his parked car on Market Street, but then one of them went into Nan’s Place for take-out and the other looked away for too long. He’s not in the car. They’re looking on foot, and I’ve sent a few more men to help search.”
Sean had to lean against the wall for support. Kane was on Market Street. So were they. And Julie hadn’t yet returned from the bathroom. It couldn’t be…
“Hey, you okay?” Maddox was standing in front of him.
Sean shook his head and struggled to find his voice because Dean was asking him the same thing on the phone.
“Julie…” he said into the phone. “She went to the john fifteen minutes ago.”
“What?”
“Dean, I have to go. Send the men to the Cineplex. And get a K-9 too.”
He disconnected the call. “Get Julie’s coat and meet me in the lobby,” he said to Maddox.
Sean sprinted to the lobby, grabbing the first teen he saw in uniform. “I need to speak with the manager on duty.”
Ten agonizing minutes later, Sean and Maddox were combing the perimeter of the outside of the building with four uniformed policemen, a K-9 who’d been given Julie’s coat to sniff, and a terrified-looking kid who’d barely graduated from high school and had the dumb luck to have been the manager on duty that night.
They’d already guessed that she’d probably gone to a bathroom in another part of the theater that wasn’t showing any movies that night, but there were two possibilities. Both rooms were near exit doors at the ends of the corridors that led to parking lots, and neither of them had alarms on them, but they did have security cameras, inside and outside. Chad and Dean were inside the theater, going over the tapes.
