Hakeem & Tasia : A Brick City Love Story

Jodie followed suit and placed one in the back of Juice’s head before we each dropped Moses and his sidekick.
“Are we leaving this shit or we calling clean up?” Jodie asked.
Let’s call em. That’s too many bodies and too much heat.
Jodie made the call and thirty minutes later, a van pulled up and started collecting bodies. We gave them instructions on how to handle it, and business was done for the evening. Now I was taking my ass back to the block so that I could meet up with Tay.
*****
I pulled up in front of Tay’s house just after 11:00. I knew she was expecting me to call her hours ago, so I was pretty sure that she would be pissed, but fuck it. I needed to see her, so I pulled my phone out and made that call.
“Yeah,” she answered with a massive attitude. I didn’t know whether it was from the whole Tierra thing earlier, or because it was so late.
“Don’t be mad. I had a lot of shit to do, but I wanna see you.”
“It’s late Keem. I’ll just catch up with you tomorrow.”
“Nah, that doesn’t work for me. Stay with me tonight,” I said, hoping that I wouldn't have to fight her on this because even if I had to walk my happy ass up those stairs, pack her shit myself, and carry her little stubborn ass to my truck, she was staying with me tonight.
“Call Tierra I’m sure--”
“Chill with that bullshit, Tay. I haven’t had sex of any kind with anybody but you in the past four months, and we’ve only been together once so trust me when I say I should be fucking everything moving, but I’m not. So stop worrying about Tierra, pack some damn clothes, and meet me downstairs because if you’re not down here in the next fifteen minutes, then I’m coming to get you and trust me, not even Charlie will stop me. Now get your shit and get moving.”
I hung up on and let my head fall back on the headrest. I was tired of playing around with her stubborn ass. We needed to get some things straight, and we were doing that shit tonight; right after that, I was getting so deep in her shit that she likely wasn’t gonna be able to walk afterwards.
About twenty minutes passed and I was just about to call Tay back when I looked up and saw the front door to her brownstone open. She came walking down the stairs carrying a bag, looking mad as hell but cute as fuck, so I couldn’t help but smile. She walked up to my truck, opened the back door, and tossed her bag in before she shut it and climbed in the front passenger side. She buckled her seatbelt, but didn’t say a word to me with her little stubborn ass. I just laughed, started my truck, and pulled off.
“You hungry?” I glanced at her, and then focused on the road but when she didn’t answer, I stared at her.
“Tay, I know you hear me talking to you.”
“Yes I hear you, and no I’m not.”
“So you just gonna sit there with an attitude all night,” I said, trying to control my anger. I wasn’t in the mood; shit, I didn’t even do anything for her to be mad about.
“I don’t have an attitude.”
“Yeah whatever.”
We rode in silence until we reached my place and after I parked, I grabbed her bag out the back, walked around to her door, and opened it. She got out and stomped up the stairs like a spoiled ass child, but I didn’t say a word.
Once we were in my room, I shut and locked my door and began coming out of my clothes. I didn’t look at her, but I could occasionally feel her eyes on me as she dug through her bag, pulling shit out before she started changing her clothes. After she was dressed in a racerback tank top and a tiny ass pair of floral printed boxers, she yanked my covers back, picked up the remote, and laid down. She still hadn't said a word, so I took my ass in the bathroom, shut the door, and got ready to shower.
Twenty minutes later, I was back in my room and Tay was still in the same spot, so I shut my light off, dropped my towel on the floor, and climbed in my bed and laid next to her.
“You need to put some clothes on,” she said without looking at me.
“The fuck I need to put clothes on for, just to turn around and take them back off. We’re about to have a conversation and then you’re coming up out your clothes. So what issue do we need to address first? The fact that you’re pissed because you saw me talking to Tierra, the fact that business kept me in the streets a little longer than I planned, or the fact that I had to find out you’re leaving from Lisa.” I looked at her with a seriousness that let her know that I wasn’t playing around, and she just stared at me like she couldn't open her mouth to speak.
Tasia
I just stared at Hakeem, because I didn’t know what to say. I knew he was gonna be upset about the fact that I was going to New York, but truthfully I didn’t really think it was going to happen. My mom called in a few favors for me with some people she used to know from when she modeled years ago, and they offered me the job. My life had been so insane over the past few months that when I got the call, I had totally forgotten that my mom had been trying to make it happen for me in the first place.
I planned on telling Keem, but I didn’t know how; hell, I didn’t want to leave him, but it was my dream job. How could I tell him that I was moving to Manhattan after everything we had been through over the past four months? I mean, it’s not like we were official or anything, but neither of us could deny what was going on. I loved this man; I had for years, and I was almost positive that he felt the same way, but our lives were moving in different directions.
Hakeem had taken over for Simuel and was so heavy in the streets that there was no way he was getting out or could move to New York with me, and it was my dream so if I didn’t go I was going to spend the rest of my life regretting it. Even though Manhattan was only 45 minutes away, with my life the way it was going to be and his life in the streets, I just didn’t see it working–no matter how much I wanted it to. Having the conversation with him meant that we would both have to face the reality that it just wasn’t going to work, and I couldn't handle that, so I didn’t tell him but Lisa had to open her big ass mouth, and now he was sitting here looking at me like I had just committed a mortal sin.
“Well Tay, I’m waiting,” Hakeem said as he laid on his back, arms folded behind his head, butt ass naked and staring at the ceiling.
“I not mad because you were gone so long,” I said.
“Then I hope you’re not mad about that Tierra, because that conversation I had with her today was putting her in check about addressing me just to fuck with you. That’s it. I meant what I said, Tay. I haven’t been with anybody but you in the last four months, and I mean that shit. I could have, but I made the decision not to.”
I sat there just thinking about his words, and I believed him so I wasn’t even really made about that; just low key jealous, because I knew that she had him before. I guess that’s how he felt when he thought about the fact that I had been with Ty.
“Tay, did you hear me?”
“Yeah.”
“Do you believe me?”
“Yes Keem, I believe you.”
He grabbed me around the waist and pulled me into his body, turning so that my back was against his chest. He kissed the back of my neck and then my collarbone, and I could feel him getting hard as it pressed against my back.
“I mean that shit Tay, so don’t let that mess with your head. Okay?” Again, he kissed me on my collarbone.
“Okay.” Hakeem tightened his hold on me and let his chin rest on my shoulder.
“Now why didn’t you tell me you were leaving?”
“I don’t know, I guess I just couldn’t.”
“Why though?”
“Because I don’t want this--” I paused for a minute because I felt like my words were trapped in my throat. “Whatever this is, to be over.”
“Shit, I don’t either, but you're leaving and doing your thing in New York, that’s a big deal Tay. I’m proud of you.”
“But I don’t wanna leave you, not now.” I could feel the tears building.
“Don’t think this
shit is easy for me. Trust me, I don’t want you to go, but I will not be the reason why you stay and have you regretting that shit. I’ll always be here for you, trust that, but if you don’t go do your thing then things will never be right with us, and you know it.”
“I know,” was all I said, and we lay there in silence before I moved away from Hakeem, pulled my shirt over my head, and stepped out of my panties and shorts. I climbed on top of him, straddling his body and feeling him swell beneath me. His hands moved up my waist to my breasts, and then across my back as he pulled me towards him into a kiss.
When he released me, I lifted myself just enough to slide down on him and once he was inside me, I gave myself a minute to adjust before I began slowly rolling my hips at a slow steady pace. Hakeem just watched me as I moved before he joined in, pushing deeper inside me.
“You know I love you right?” he said in his deep, raspy voice as he eyes locked on mine.
“I know,” I said confidently as our bodies moved together. His hands firmly gripping my ass, and I could see everything he was feeling all over his face, and when he couldn't take it anymore he grabbed my waist, holding me in place as he flipped me over, taking control.
“Do you love me, Tay?” Hakeem said, picking up his rhythm as he dug deeper in me.
“Yes. I always have,” I said, meaning every word, and with that, he went in on doing things to my body that I didn’t think were possible, and when we both finally came, it drained every once of energy we both owned.
As we lay there in the dark, neither of us could sleep. We were both thinking about what was to come, and I knew that Hakeem didn’t want it any more than I did.
“Keem?”
“Yeah?”
“Can we try?”
“I’ll do whatever you want me to do, Tay. You already know that.”
“You promise?”
“I don’t have to promise, but I will if that’s what you need. I told you I always got you Tay, and you know I meant that shit.”
When I woke up the next morning, Keem was still asleep so I climbed out of his bed, opened his drawer, and grabbed one of his t-shirts. After I had it on, I went straight to the bathroom, washed my face, and brushed my teeth before I left his room and headed to the kitchen. The second I opened the refrigerator door, I heard Liyah behind me.
“Good morning Tay.” I turned and she was in the living room sitting on the sofa, holding the remote grinning at me.
“Oh, hey Kaliyah. I didn’t know you were home,” I smiled and grabbed a bottle of water before I joined her on the sofa.
“Yeah, I got in late but I knew you were here,” she said with a grin.
“How?” I asked, hoping she wasn’t hinting at what I think she was hinting at.
“Because Keem had his door locked all night and he never does that. You’re the only person who’s ever stayed overnight, so I knew it had to be you with him.
I laughed, feeling relieved.
“And you were loud as hell, the walls are really thin,” she said with a smirk.
I knew the look on my face had to be priceless, because Liyah laughed and then spoke again, “It’s cool, you guys are grown. So are you really leaving?”
“Yeah, how’d you know?” I asked after I opened my water and turned in up.
“Lisa was talking about it,” she said. I rolled my eyes. I swear, she had a big ass mouth.
“Are you excited?” Liyah asked.
“Yeah I am, but I'm just nervous as hell. It’s a big deal. What about you? You’re leaving soon, right?”
“Yeah, I’m leaving in two months. He doesn’t want you to go, you know. He just won’t say it because he thinks you’ll stay just for him.” She looked at me, trying to see how I would react.
“I know. We talked about it last night,” was all I said.
“So are you going try and make it work? It’s not that far, and if he comes to see you and you come home every once in awhile, then you two can still be together.”
I laughed thinking about it. “We’re not really together though.”
“Come on Tay, you know better than that. You’re in our house. He only really deals with you and he would kill anybody that laid a hand on you. He may not have put a title on it but trust me, you’re together. I know my brother, and some things are real clear when it comes to him.”
“Well school me on all things Keem then,” I said with a grin, making Liyah laugh.
“You’re good for him, Tay. He needs somebody to look out for him and I’ll be gone, so just be there for him.”
“I do what I can, but it’s not all on me. It’s gonna take both of us to make this work, but it’s what I want.”
“Then figure it out,” Liyah said, and then stood up. “If you care about him then you’ll find a way to make it work.”
Liyah dropped the remote on the sofa and then left me sitting there as she went back to her room. After sitting there for a few more minutes stuck in my thoughts about me and Hakeem, I decided to go see if he was up yet, and of course he wasn’t. I shut and locked his door and decided to give him a little help.
I pulled the covers back and found him standing at attention, so I grabbed it with both hands and took it into my mouth. After a few minutes, I felt his hand tangle through my hair as he mumbled in a deep raspy voice.
“Shit Tay, good morning to you too.”
I looked up just enough to see him watching me as my tongue glided across his head, causing him to grip my hair while trying to control my movements. When I felt his body tense up and he was about to cum, he pushed me away before he sat up, grabbed me around my waist, and flipped me over onto my back.
“I need to get in this shit first. I’m not ready to release yet,” he said, looking down at me with a grin before he used his knee to spread my legs apart. With one deep stroke, he was inside me and I grabbed his arms, letting my nails pierce his skin. I was still a little sore from the night before, but it wasn’t going stop me.
“You good Tay?” he asked after he felt my body tense and my grip tighten.
I just nodded and he began moving in and out of me, slow and steady. Not long after, he buried his face in my neck, and I could feel his teeth tugging at my skin. His rhythm got faster and stronger, sending my body over the edge. He was right behind me because as my orgasm built, his did too and we both let go and then collapsed, trying to recover.
Hakeem rolled over, pulling me with him before he looked at me with a grin.
“You’re gonna fuck around and make me have a heart attack up in this bitch, Tay.”
“Shut up, you’ll be fine,” I said, letting out a small laugh.
“Nah forget that. I just released so damn hard I think I pulled something,” he said, looking serious as hell.
“You are so stupid.” I just shook my head.
“You’re still on the pill right, cause if not I think I just put triplets up in you.”
“Yes I am and trust me, you will never put triplets in me.”
“Don't be so sure about that shit, Tay,” he said with a smirk.
“Oh I’m more than sure, and you’ve been doing an awful lot of smiling lately. What are you doing, making up for lost time Mr. I never smile?”
He busted out laughing. “You do that shit to me. That’s why I don't talk to on the block. I can’t let my crew catch me slipping smiling and shit. They won’t take me serious.” He lifted his head and kissed me.
“Whatever man,” I said, and then rolled off him.
“Let me get up. I’m hungry as hell. I hope Liyah cooked.”
“She didn’t, I just talked to her,” I said as I scooted to the edge of the bed and Hakeem moved around me. He stood up in front of me and made me want to go for round two, but I was already extremely sore.
“Get dressed then so that we can go eat. A brother is about to starve,” he said just before he walked into the bathroom. I heard the shower turn on, so I decided to join him. No sense in wasting water. I pulled his t-shirt ov
er my head and walked into the bathroom. He was already inside the shower, so I pulled the curtain back and stepped in behind him.
“You’re really trying me this morning, Tay,” he said when he felt my arms around his waist.
“You said you were hungry. I’m just trying to help.”
He looked back over his shoulder at me with a smirk before he turned to face me, pulling me into his body and kissing me on my neck, then down my chest until he was on his knees. Before long, I felt his fingers sliding in and of me as his tongue. With my back pressed against the wall, I just closed my eyes while Hakeem went to work and I must admit, he took pride in getting the job done right.
Hakeem
I was standing outside the corner store on Clinton Ave with Jodie and Talen when Brit came walking down the street, hugged up with some guy neither of us knew. He looked familiar, but I just couldn’t place him.
When she made it to where we were standing, she stopped and stepped to me with her arms folded.
“You talked to my sister, Keem?”
“Not lately, what’s up?”
“Just asking. You know she’s doing it big now?” Brit said with a smirk
“That’s good. I’m proud of her.”
“Yeah she’s been styling for a bunch of videos and she’s even thinking about starting her own company,” Brit said.
I glanced at Jodie because I could feel him watching me. “Is there a point to this conversation, Brit?”
“I was just giving you an update. You know she’s been kicking it with her new man kind of steady lately.”
That caught my attention, but I refrained from reacting. I pulled my phone out of my pocket after I felt it vibrate, and then put it back when I realized it was a text from Tierra before I looked up to acknowledge what Brit said.
“Oh yeah?”
“Yep, some model that worked with Ford I think. She seems pretty happy.”
“That’s good. I’m glad she’s happy.”
I looked Brit right in the eye, but she just stood there looking at me. Old boy she was with was getting irritated waiting, which made me laugh because I could tell his ass was insecure. She was clearly kicking it to me about her sister, but he was feeling some type of way about it. I turned and held my hand up to Talen and then Jodie.
