To Love A Hitman

The next morning, I got a call from the local police. If I wanted to press assault charges, they’d hold onto my assailants. Otherwise, they’d be released on bail, which had been paid with a credit card over the phone.

“Do they plan to stay nearby?” I asked the officer.

She had a pleasant laugh. “No, I overheard the ass-chewing one of them got over the phone. They were bailed out on condition they go to the bus station, where tickets were waiting for them. Either they leave town, or the credit card transaction will be cancelled.” I was free, but there was still a crazy white guy out for blood, and I didn’t know how Frank would feel about what happened.

I got a shower, dressed, and woke Carter. He cleaned up and put on real clothes, and we went out for breakfast. Carter called the ward, and learned that Josh had put in a good night. He was stable, but there was a blip on his EEG that neurology wanted to check out. “Well, we can’t afford the bill so far, so I guess it doesn’t matter.” Carter was despondent, but he had a right to be.

I drove us to the hospital, and gave Carter money to buy something useless for Josh. When I got to the room, the brothers were laughing at the antics of a wind-up toy from the gift shop. It was a clown that marched in one direction, stopped and farted, then marched back to its original location. Worth every penny to hear them laughing.

“The neurologist came to see me this morning. The EEG showed mild seizures occurring. Something called Complex Partisan Seizures, I think. Anyway, he said I can’t risk doing lifeguard work, and he won’t clear me to go back to work.” Josh was morose, which was understandable. He loved his work, but had reached the end of the road. And, unable to work, he had no chance of paying his medical bills.

“If we’re careful with money, I can make enough for both of us,” Carter told them. I stayed silent, not wanting to interrupt him. “We need to get you out of here, and back home. Maybe you can stay with Mom and Dad until the end of summer, then we’ll figure out something from there.” Carter didn’t sound like he believed what he was saying. I know, I sure didn’t.

The doctor came by, and told Josh he could be discharged. He had to stay off his feet. He shouldn’t lift anything heavy, and abstain from alcohol. A nurse came in and helped him dress in the clothes Carter had brought for him. I carried what little crap we had with us, and let Carter help Josh. We went to the checkout counter, where they were supposed to get the bill.

“Zero balance,” the clerk told Carter. He looked at her as though she had two heads.

“That can’t be right. There was an ambulance, the ER, all kinds of tests, a night in a private room. It’s a mistake.” The woman shook her head.

“Here’s a copy of everything.” She handed him five or six pages of an itemized bill. “See, it’s paid. Zero balance.”

“What the … flip is going on?” Carter wasn’t convinced, but the woman told him to move on; she had other customers. He finally shrugged his shoulders, and helped Josh down the steps to the parking lot. I went and got the wagon, and Carter insisted Josh take the back seat and lie down. I pulled out of the parking lot, and headed for the Interstate.

“Ah, Noah, where are you going? This isn’t the way to the apartment,” Carter said.

“Trust me.” That’s all I would say.

We got on the Interstate and headed south for almost an hour. I pulled off the highway into an all-suite hotel, and told the brothers to get out at the lobby. A bellman met them, and escorted them inside. When I got to the suite, Carter almost nailed me to the wall.

“What is going on, Noah? Are you kidnapping us? I demand to know what’s up.” I could appreciate his confusion, and asked if we could talk after lunch was delivered. A minute later room service came to the door, and wheeled in two carts, heaped with food, drinks and crockery. Josh sat languidly in his chair, smiling at Carter, who was pacing back and forth.

“Out with it, Noah. What’s the deal?” Carter was staring at me, inches from my face. It was probably time to come clean.

I finished chewing my salad, then asked Carter to sit down. He sat next to his brother, both men’s eyes locked on mine. “My grandfather died last year. I didn’t know him well, and hadn’t seen him in almost ten years. He invented something I don’t really understand, and it was successful. He split his estate between me and my cousin Rachel.” I took another forkful of salad, and continued.

“Rachel and I left most of the money with a financial advisor, and each took a small amount to use now. This week I decided how to use some of my money.

“I bought the bankrupt water park a mile from here, and somewhere around a thousand acres of open land behind it. I’m developing a year-round resort for the gay male market. I paid Josh’s hospital bill, and rented two suites here with an option for a year. This is your suite; mine’s next door. I did not want to presume anything.” I think Josh was on pain meds. He just smiled and made pleasant sounds. Carter, on the other hand, had to pick his jaw up from floor.

“I need on-site representation, and hope you two will accept the job. There’s a salary, car, housing and insurance. I hope to break ground around August, with an eight-month construction schedule. I’m going back to college for two months to finish my degree, then coming back here. There’s nothing for me at college or home, and Rachel is the only relative I know. Any questions?”

“You’re frigging kidding me, right? This is a prank?” Carter was having trouble wrapping his head around the idea. Josh had no such difficulties.

“Give it a rest, Carter. You never did believe in the Tooth Fairy. I did, and it turns out I’m right.” He gave Carter a fist-bump, then turned to me.

“So, what’s the job?” I could tell Josh was going to be the sensible one.

“We’ll work that out as we go. I’ll want you two to look over the park and the adjacent land, come up with ideas about what can be done. My local attorney will keep you abreast of developments. He’s hiring a resort developer to oversee the design and construction. I’m driving back to college at the end of the week. I’d like an answer before I leave.” We finished lunch in silence, and I stood up to leave.

“Where are you going?” Carter asked.

“To my own suite. Like I said, I didn’t want to presume anything.”

Before I reached the door, Josh called out. “What if we want to presume something?”

I turned around, and found myself in Carter’s arms. He claimed my mouth, then skinned my T-shirt over my head. His hands were on my chest, then at my belt, and the next thing I knew, all I was wearing were my briefs. And, that didn’t last for long.

I tried to object, and tell them this wasn’t needed. I liked them, I trusted them, and that was all that was necessary. “Shut up,” Carter told me, so I did.

  Chapter Four

The next morning, I woke up sore at both ends, but completely satisfied. We’d have to work out some kind of routine; I’m flexible, I’m sure Carter is also, and Josh is a top. And, I’ll have to start sleeping in my own room. Since the step-brothers never fool around with each other, sleeping arrangements could get complicated with three of us, but only two beds.

Josh and Carter were used to getting up at dawn to start work. Carter woke up early, but we let Josh sleep. He was still recovering. I took Carter down to breakfast, and went over my plans.

“That’s not fair to you,” he said. “You’re giving us way too much.”

“And, that’s why I’m doing it. You don’t expect it, don’t think you deserve that much, and I’ve seen you two in action.” Carter grinned, and punched me in the shoulder. “Not that kind of action,” I told him, then paused for a second to think. “But you both sure know your way around a man’s anatomy.”

We were finishing our coffee, when a hotel employee brought me a long fax. “Sorry, I read most of it. Can I be your first customer?”

“Only if you’re twenty-one,” I told him. He looked disappointed, and went away.

I handed pages to Carter as I read th
em. Nineteen pages of legalese, and a one-page summary in real-people-language. When we were done, I took the single page I could actually understand, and said, “We’ll work off of this.”

Carter thought that was a great idea. “Do you think we should check on Josh?” I looked at my watch. It was only seven-thirty, but the home health nurse was due at eight.

Back in the room we woke Josh, and told him the nurse was coming at eight. After that, he could shower and have breakfast, depending on what the nurse said, and the lawyer was due at ten. If he didn’t feel up to seeing the lawyer, we’d tell him about it. If he didn’t feel up to seeing the nurse, tough shit.

“I’m awake. Shower first, nurse second, and I’ll take it from there.” The nurse arrived as Josh was coming out of the shower, with a towel wrapped around his middle. She introduced herself as Beth, told us she’d been a nurse for thirty years, and a nurse-practitioner for eleven. She asked if we had any questions.

“Just check him over, make sure he’s not going to keel over on us. And, what’s a nurse-practitioner?” Same question I had. The agency had quoted a rate for a nurse, and a higher rate for a practitioner. I figured you got what you paid for, and ordered up the most expensive one.

“I diagnose and treat most illnesses. I can write prescriptions, within some limitations. I can do emergency surgical procedures, like putting a hole in your throat so you can breathe, or a hole in your chest to get out trapped air. Otherwise, I’m like every other nurse.” Sounded good to me.

“Now, get out until I tell you it’s OK to return.” Josh began protesting, but Carter told him not to be a problem patient at the outset. We waited for forty-five minutes in the hallway, and she called us back.

“Dressing on the scalp wound is changed, and the wound is healing the way it should. His hospital notes said he has complex partial seizures, so I’m leaving a prescription for a safe drug to start him on if he begins acting funny, like frozen in place. I’ll be back in two days, then we’ll schedule visits about once a week until he’s seen a neurologist.” She picked up what looked like a dozen tubes of blood, said good-bye, and left.

“She’s older than Mom,” Josh commented. Carter just nodded his head, and asked if Josh wanted to go downstairs for breakfast, or if we should bring something up. He dressed, and we went with him to the dining room.

“If you’re rich, why do you drive such a shit car?” Josh asked me. I told him I didn’t need anything other than a car that worked, and this one did. I added that I would fly back to college and leave them the “shit car.”

“If it’s too low-class for you, walk or take a taxi.” They assured me it was just fine.

The meeting with the lawyer went well. I told him what results I wanted, and he said the lengthy document would achieve them. “Why do we get to earn an ownership stake?” Carter asked. “We’ve only known Noah for a few days?’

“You get to earn an ownership stake, because that’s what my client wants. It’s a small stake, and will never make you rich. I don’t think Noah is crazy, or manic, so whatever he wants I’ll do.” The lawyer took the guys to a bank and opened checking accounts for them, while I spent time on the phone with the resort development guy. When they came back, the lawyer gave them his card, their insurance stuff, and left.

“Can we tell our parents?” asked Carter. I told them that was no problem. I asked if I could speak with them when they were done.

Josh explained that he was healing, and that he and Carter had new jobs that paid well, along with insurance. Carter cleared up details, and gave me the phone.

“Mr. Dickson,” I started, “OK, Herman and Darlene. I have money, but no purpose in life. Your boys are going to let me pursue a purpose, and I’m grateful. I know they want to see you both, but I don’t think Josh should travel until he’s cleared medically. Just tell them when you want to come down, and I’ll get tickets for you.” They started protesting, so I heard them out.

“Darlene, I could spend my money on wine, women and song, but it’s not what I want to do. I want to do what I’m doing. The room next door to the boys is mine for a year, and I won’t be here the next two months. It sits empty if you’re not using it.” They tripped over their tongues thanking me, and we ended the conversation.

Before bed that night, I talked over our sex lives with my two friends. We were frank about our desires and preferences, and we spent most of the next three days in bed. I told them that our arrangement didn’t depend on them having sex with anybody; they grinned and said it was one hell of an employee benefit.

I flew back to college, and spent the next two months finishing my degree, and e-mailing or calling the guys. We did Skype shows for each other. Somehow Frank came up in a discussion, so they got him to come to the room for a hot show. Carter took his mouth, and Josh took his ass. Frank asked me when I was coming down, he had some games in mind. I came three times watching them.

Mack, Stan and Larissa made sure to avoid me on campus and in town. I did see them at a party, where Larissa dared them to play gay chicken. They wound up making out and jerking each other, but that was it.

Finally, I graduated, and flew to the beach. The guys met me at the airport, along with Steph and her boyfriend. We were kind of crowded in the old wagon, but that was OK. They took me to a lifeguards’ barbeque at a private home with its own beach. They had a wet T-shirt contest, won by a girl who, predictably, took off her top. Then they had a far more interesting (at least) to me, wet briefs contest.

Most of the guys entered, including Josh and Carter. It was all in good fun, until Rick – Steph’s boyfriend – took off his briefs in a bid to win. Josh and Carter kept their underwear on, but half of the other guys, egged on by their girlfriends, got naked. Their girlfriends made it more interesting, joining their boyfriends and stroking them. The host called a halt to the frivolities when one girl knelt in front of her boyfriend, and brought his dick toward her mouth. Spoilsport.

The three of us had watched our drinking, and Carter drove us back to the hotel. Josh and I were in the backseat, and got a head start making out. We were both in tight shorts, so we picked up newspapers and held them in front of us as we walked through the lobby.

Once in the room, I reached for Josh, but he pushed my hands away. Josh bent down, and took off my shoes and socks, while Carter took off my shirt. Together, they got my pants off, leaving me in just my white briefs. I was hard, and Carter began making out with me. I pulled his T-shirt off, then undid his belt, his pants dropping to the floor. I could feel Josh’s tongue licking the inside of my thigh, then licking my erection through the thin cotton.

Carter maneuvered me toward the bed, then knelt over my chest. He raised himself up enough to get his boxer-briefs down, and fed me his cock. I hadn’t had any sex for two months, and was anxious. I took him in my mouth, licked up the pre-cum, then circled the crown with my tongue.

I don’t know exactly when it happened, but Josh had removed my underwear, and was licking my shaft. I pulled Carter towards me, getting more of him inside so I could suck him. I felt moist warmth around my manhood, and, when Carter adjusted himself, I could see a shirtless Josh, his mouth full of me to the root. My balls were full from two months of celibacy, and they emptied themselves into Josh’s sucking mouth. I bucked upward, and Carter knew this meant I was climaxing.

He started easing back and moving forward, until I jammed him inside, nearly to my throat. I began humming, and Carter lost it. I was grateful to both guys; they had fulfilled me completely.

I lay between the step-brothers, taking turns making out with them. First Carter, then Josh, fisted my rod, and stroked me to another erection. When I was fully hard, Josh got up, finished stripping, and got a strip of condoms from the nightstand. I couldn’t help grinning, and trembling, in anticipation of what was coming.

I was on my back, and Josh flipped me over to commence prepping me with his lubed fingers. I was shocked when Carter dressed me in a condom, and slicked myself and hi
s hole with lube. I was groaning, and Josh was now poking at my hole with his blunt tip. He finished prepping me, then penetrated an inch. I wanted more, and told him so.

Josh lifted me by my hips until I was kneeling, then started a slow, rhythmical rocking. Carter positioned himself underneath me, a reached for me with a hand to guide me into him. It took a couple of minutes, several false starts, and some laughing, until we sorted ourselves out into a choreographed chain. As Josh pushed in, I pushed back, and Carter brought himself forward. As Josh pulled back, I thrust into Carter, and he thrust back.

I’d never done anything remotely like this before, and it was awesome. My brain wanted this to go on forever, but my penis had another idea. I could feel Josh filling his condom with a final push inwards, and me withdrawing from Carter to push back. On my next downward move, Carter pushed back with all his tremendous might, and he and I both came, me into the condom, him on the bed.
