"Please tell me you have a car available to rent," I said, walking up to the counter. "Anything. I’d seriously take a motorcycle at this point. Maybe even some snowshoes."

The woman behind the counter chuckled. "Oh, you think I’m kidding?" I responded. "I’m completely serious. I need some mode of transportation to get me to my home in Michigan before tonight. I would seriously drive a sleigh at this point."

Just as the previous clerks, I heard her tapping on a keyboard – a sound I was beginning to loathe.

"It looks like the snowshoes and motorcycle won’t be necessary. I do have a car that I can rent you for the evening," she said.

"Thank god. At least something has gone right today," I said.

She took my credit card information and handed me the keys to the rental. I made it out to the parking lot and lifted my bags into the trunk before sliding into the driver’s seat. I considered calling Brooke to let her know I was on my way, but I decided to surprise her instead. I could tell by the tone of her voice that she doubted I would make it home tonight. Truth be told, I wasn’t quite so sure myself. That’s the main reason I called Blake and asked him to go check on her. Besides, he needed a little shove to spend the holiday with Cass as well.

The snow was beginning to fall and I just hoped I could make it home before the roads became too slick.

Blake suggested that we take Brendan and Kaitlyn out sledding in the fields behind the house. I was worried about leaving the twins, but Cass assured me that as long as we took the video monitors and didn’t go too far out that everything would be fine.

We bundled ourselves and the kids in the heaviest coats, hats, gloves, scarves and boots and traipsed through the snow before we reached the tiny sledding hill.

"Whose grand idea was this again?" Cass asked. "It’s freeeeezing and I think my lips might ice over."

  "And that’s a bad thing?" I retorted.

"Maybe not for you, but I bet Blake would disagree," she said with a wink.

"You’re ridiculous. You’ve seriously become a nympho," I said, rolling my eyes. "And, you can’t possibly be that cold yet. You have on more layers than a wedding cake and we literally just stepped outside."

  "You love me."

"Yes, I do, but you’re still ridiculous," I said, pushing over the sled she was sitting on.

"Hey, that wasn’t necessary, you slut," she yelled, rolling over and forming a perfectly rounded snowball. I ducked out of the way and instead of hitting me she pelted Blake smack on the forehead.

"Ouch. My girl can leave a sting," he said, rubbing his now reddened forehead.

"Yeah that one might leave a mark," I said, as another landed right between my boobs.

"Oh shit, you’re going down Carpenter," I said, bending over to form my own compacted snowball.

Brendan and Kaitlyn got in on our action and started throwing snowballs at each other and at us until we were all rolling around on the ground laughing hysterically.

Just as I’d formed another and was about to peg Cass in her booty, I heard a voice come through the baby monitor.

"Hey my girls, Daddy’s home. I missed you both so much," he said, kissing them both on the forehead.

I watched him talk to the girls for a few more precious moments before I finally heard him say, "Where’s your mommy and brother?"

Hitting the talk button on the monitor so Rich would hear me on the other end, I said, "We’re outside having a snowball fight," I giggled. "I didn’t think you’d be home tonight. We’re on our way back in."

"I made you a promise, Brooke. You’d think by now you’d know that I don’t break my promises to you."

I blushed again and secretly wished that I was all alone with my husband.

"Hey, don’t you two have some mistletoe you’ve plans for," I suggested.

"Smooth, Brookie. Could you be any more subtle? If you want to hump your husband just tell us to get the fuck out," she teased.

"I mean if you wouldn’t mind," I responded with a shrug.

"Of course not. We’ll run in and grab our stuff and be on our way. Besides, you’re right, I’d really like to make use of this mistletoe," she said, patting her thigh.

I came into the living room, placing two glasses of eggnog on the table, as Rich sauntered back into the room after putting Brendan to bed. He flipped off the lights – the moon and the soft glow of the Christmas tree our only sources of illumination.

"I’m so sorry, I couldn’t be here sooner," he whispered, placing a lingering kiss on my neck. "You’re all I’ve thought about for two days."

"It doesn’t matter. You’re here now," I nearly panted. "Make my Christmas wish come true."

"Always, sweets. Always," he said, holding the mistletoe above our heads. "I think tradition says you need to kiss me now."

"Well I can’t be punished for not following Christmas tradition now can I?" I nearly purred as Rich brushed his lips against mine.

I leaned into him and used my tongue to part the seam of his lips which were still cold from the winter air. A shiver ran down my spine.

"I’m still so cold," I mumbled into his mouth.

"Then I suggest I help warm you up," he said, breathily.

Our tongues continued to dance together for several minutes, before I found myself begging him for more.

"Rich, take me to bed," I pleaded.

He nodded in agreement. "That’s the plan, sweets, but first I have your present."

Rich placed his hands in his pocket and pulled out a perfectly wrapped square box.

"When did you have time to get this? I thought you were in meetings all week," I questioned.

"I can’t divulge all my secrets. Let’s just say I’m a man of many talents," he answered.

"You can say that again," I said with a grin. "I can’t wait for you to show me more of your talents in the bedroom."

"Mmmm … someone is being a naughty little elf tonight. Now, please, open your gift."

I did as Rich requested and unwrapped the silver-foil paper. I opened the lid to find four pendants similar to the ones Rich had given me one year ago. The first was a ruby gemstone which was the girls’ birthstone and the other three were platinum bars which were engraved with my children’s names on one side and their birthdates on the other.

"I love this, Rich. I thought my necklace was perfect and complete last year. Little did I know we had two more Christmas miracles waiting to be added to our family," I said, placing my lips on his.

"I missed you," I whispered. "The gift is perfect, but really I wanted nothing more than to be with my husband on Christmas."

"Then you, my love, shall have your husband on Christmas. I hope you don’t have plans tomorrow because I plan on making up for the last few days."

Rich picked me up and I latched my legs around his waist as he carried me back to the bedroom. Once we entered the room, I slid down Rich’s front, feeling his already erect cock against my stomach. He shut and locked the door before frantically ripping at my shirt. He pulled my shirt over my head and quickly wrapped his arms around me to unhook my bra. He teased my nipples with his tongue before pulling me into an embrace and walking me backwards until I felt the back of my knees touch the mattress. He came in for another kiss as his hands unfastened my jeans. He slid the waist down to my knees as I bent over and stepped out of them.

Before he had a chance to tip me backwards onto the bed, I grabbed his broad shoulders, still covered in his polo shirt, and pulled him into my body for another kiss. This time I took control and passionately parted his lips. As our mouths were still entwined, Rich took his fist and pulled his shirt off at the nape of his neck in one fluid motion.

I fell backwards onto the mattress, propping my weight on my elbows and watched as Rich unbuckled his belt and slid down his jeans and boxer briefs. I could see the tip of his cock glisten in the moonlight. Rich crawled on top of me and lifted my hips to remove my panties.

/>   "I need to take you hard, sweets. I need to fuck you before I make sweet love to you all night long."

With his confession, Rich plunged into me and I screamed out at his sudden entrance. It only took a moment for my walls to mold around him. He filled me completely and I rocked back and forth and he pumped himself in and out of me.

Rich kept at his fast pace and after just a few minutes I could tell by his breathing that he was getting close to his own release.

I felt Rich bring a hand down between us, taking a finger to rub my clit, as he continued to plunge his hard cock into my wet, slippery core.

Angling his body, he brought his mouth to suck on my breasts. The simultaneous pleasure was too much and he sent me over the edge as I began to writhe beneath him. My walls began to tighten and spasm around his thickness. I felt him slam into me once more, before he groaned and let go of his own release.

"You’re so amazing. So fuckin’ amazing. Merry Christmas, sweets."

Rich was very serious when he said he planned on making love to me all night long. We went for several hours before falling asleep wrapped around each other. We woke up several hours later and immediately went for another round before drifting off again.

I woke up shortly before sunrise to the sound of my cell phone.

"Hello," I answered, putting the phone on speaker.

"Good morning, sunshine," Cass sing-songed. "Do you want to go hit the After-Christmas sales with me?"

"You know how much I hate shopping. Did you seriously just call and wake me up for that?"

"Oh shit. Were you two still in bed?"

As I was talking with Cass, Rich got out of bed and headed to the bathroom.

"Yes, we were still in bed. I hadn’t seen my husband in a week and we were making up for lost time."

"Fuck! My bad. Sorry, Brookie," she apologized.

"It’s OK, I’ll get you back. I really thought you’d still be in bed, too. You were really excited about using that mistletoe last night."

"Oh, trust me … we used the mistletoe for hours. And, then we moved on to my drawer of vibes. It was definitely a pleasurable night, but Blake had to leave to pick up the kids."

"Seriously? I do not need to know about my best friend and what he does to her with mistletoe and vibrators. Must you two tell each other everything?" Rich grumbled as he walked back in from the bathroom, sitting on the edge of the bed.

"Yes, we must," Cass said through the line. "Lucky for you she does tell me everything … Hey Rich, why don’t you ask her about candy canes," she giggled.

"Cassidy," I yelled as I heard the call end.

I turned toward Rich and saw his signature Hollywood smile appear. "What was this about candy canes, Mrs. Davis?" he asked, rolling me over in one quick motion.

I squealed as he took my mouth into his. "Why don’t you go grab one off the tree and I’ll tell you all about it," I suggested.

Happy holidays from Rich, Brooke, Cass, Blake, Brendan, Alyssa, Mikayla, Kaitlyn, Maddy, Ben & family.

  Home for the Holiday

  By Ruthie Henrick

  A Love Found Holiday Novella

In the midst of an extra-special holiday season, Jake Taylor has every reason to give thanks. His dream of a life with Allie is more fulfilling than he ever imagined. Allie has ideas for a lavish Thanksgiving celebration to be remembered for years, and their entire family has promised to be in attendance. But when one disaster after another threatens their joyful reunion, Jake finds he’ll have more to be grateful for than he realized if only he can manage to gather everyone . . . Home for the Holiday.

  Chapter One

Jake Taylor stomped clods of dried mud as he trudged across the rain-soaked driveway, under the dripping eaves, and onto his front porch. He tugged off his work boots and left them in a heap near a trio of oversized pumpkins. It had been a bitch of a day but it was over. He was home. The front door bore a festive wreath of pinecones and dried fall leaves, Allie’s handiwork. It swung open easily on silent hinges.

Thanksgiving week promised great things, despite the gloomy weather. The engineer his company worked with had possession of the blueprints for Las Estrellas, T-Squared Construction’s upcoming condominium development, delivered by courier a full twenty-four hours before the deadline of five tomorrow. After the frenetic pace of the last twelve hours, a couple of hours relaxing in the den sounded as inviting as the ever-present aroma of the spicy scented candles Allie carefully placed out of the munchkins’ reach. Home. Family. Everything he rushed back to at the end of the day.

He crossed the entry and stopped dead in his tracks. What the hell? A deadly minefield of Lego blocks and Barbie crap lay strewn from one side of the room to the other—which was where he found his normally even-tempered wife sprawled in the overstuffed chair, enormous belly up and eyes feral.

  He laughed.

Which in hindsight was not his brightest move of the day.

The woman had become an unpredictable cauldron of hormone-driven emotions. Cool and unflappable and then fiery and hot-tempered with no apparent trigger. He coughed to clear his chuckle and swiped his hand over his mouth to wipe away his grin. "Bad day?"

Allie’s fist tightened around her ballpoint pen. "Something like that. Where have you been? When you called an hour ago you were on your way. And you’re soaked!"

He glanced down at himself. "Just a little wet. Got a flat on the way home, but I was almost done changing the tire by the time it started raining." He shivered. The temperature had been falling steadily by the time the skies opened.

Just then a shriek came from the direction of the hallway. Allie appeared ready to burst into tears as she moved to get up. "Damn it!"

"Relax, I’ve got them. Besides, that was a playful scream." After a year and a half he could tell the difference, yet his dream of a quiet evening worshiping the Monday Night Football gods evaporated in a cloud of baby powder. With any luck he could at least manage the highlight reel. And maybe a beer.

Allie pointed in the vague direction of the twins’ playroom. "Make. Them. Stop." She closed her eyes. "They’re supposed to play outside. They’re supposed to take naps. They’re not supposed to trash my house in an imaginary episode of Beat the Clock."

Squeals of childish laughter drifted from down the hallway and combined with the soundtrack of whichever animated movie was playing on the wall behind him. "Actually, sweetheart, I think there’s a secret toddler textbook. They’re each given one at their twelve-month checkup and that’s one of the first things they learn." As he spoke, his quick pace took him into the kitchen. The festive flowers and squat, chubby candles hadn’t been there this morning, but the woman he hired to help his wife had. He continued to glance around and then peered through the sliding glass door and into the darkened backyard. Miniature lights twinkled in the lower branches of the trees. He circled through the dining room and back into the living room. "Allie, where’s Sarah?"

Allie closed her ever present spiral notebook and laid it on her belly. "She got a call that her son who was driving in today arrived ea
rly, and since you were on your way home I told her it was fine to leave. I’ve been chasing after the monsters ever since, but I had to rest so I popped in a video for them. They got bored with it a few minutes ago. " She moved her notebook and pen to the side table and struggled to stand.

Jake scraped a path to her with the side of his foot and nudged her back down, then planted a kiss on her lips. "Oh, no you don’t. On your ass or on your back; doctor’s orders until your blood pressure stops redlining. If you want to stay downstairs, you have to stay in the chair." A high-pitched screech came from one of the children. He dropped another quick kiss on her forehead. "Oops, that one sounds serious. Give me a minute and I’ll be right back."

The double doors were open to the children’s large play space down the hall. He rushed in to find a herd of stuffed animals lined up on the sectional sofa, what must have been every letter block they owned laid out in a circle in the middle of the room, and in the center of that, a rocking horse. With his daughter standing on its back.

He was on her in two enormous strides and plucked her from her perch. "Princess Addison, what are you doing?"

"Daddy!" Her little arms wrapped around his neck and her lips pursed for a kiss. He obliged. She suddenly squirmed, her arms drawn back and folded across her chest. "Daddy, I want to ride the circus efant." Her tone was pure indignation.

  "Whee!"

He whipped around in time to see his son land on his diapered butt after slipping down a makeshift slide fashioned from the coffee table, anchored by its legs to the seat of the couch.

"Aiden!" He’d officially entered the Twilight Zone.
