Her Millionaire, His Miracle

“And I’ll be your eyes, Jeremy,” she whispered only to him. “You’ll be my…everything.”
Jeremy pulled her closer. “Who knew that what I thought was my life’s biggest tragedy would bring me my greatest joy? Welcome home, love. I’m so sorry I messed up our first kiss years ago. What a blind man I was.”
She laughed up at him. “That’s all right, Jeremy. You can kiss me now. You can kiss me forever.”
“What an absolutely fantastic idea,” he said, sliding his fingers into her hair and covering her mouth with his own.
“Eden?” he said when they had come up for air.
“Yes?”
“Do you know what I can see when I’m kissing you?”
“Tell me,” she whispered against his lips.
“I can see the future, and it’s beautiful.”
“I’m going to love being married to you,” she said.
Jeremy let out a whoop and swung her around in his arms. “We need some music. Donald,” he said to his friend and servant. “Tell the orchestra to come outside so that we can all dance under the stars. And tell the driver he can go home to his wife. We won’t need him. She’s staying. She’s mine.”
He turned to his guests. “I hope you’ll help us celebrate the announcement of our engagement.”
The crowd gave a cheer. “You two sure know how to hold a jaw-dropping press conference,” Jonathan said. “You’re my kind of people.”
The two of them laughed and thanked him. “Don’t they make a nice couple?” Eden heard someone ask. It sounded like Alisson.
“She must have had what he’s been looking for all his life.” That was unmistakably Miriam’s voice.
Jeremy laughed. “She’s right,” he whispered to Eden. “I didn’t see it right away, but now it’s crystal clear.”
Eden rose on her toes and kissed him as the orchestra began to play. “I’m so happy Ashley sent for me.”
“The woman’s a gem,” he agreed. “We’ll have to name our first child after her.”
With a smile Eden moved into his arms and into the dance. Her heart had come home at last.
