Last First Kiss

“Wow. Well, thank you,” Xander said. “Are you taking Bob with you?”
Rocco dropped his slice of pizza. “Oh my God, how could I forget? Your car. Where is it parked? I’m dying to know what you drive.”
“You don’t know?” Xander asked, wide-eyed and with a smirk.
“No. Give me a hint. It’s a 1962 pink Beetle, isn’t it?”
They both looked at each other and burst out laughing. “Not even close.”
With a groan she led Rocco down to the parking lot of her building. “You’re going to laugh at me, aren’t you?”
“Possibly.” He said, excited to finally know.
In a corner there was what looked like a motorcycle covered with a tarp for protection.
“A motorcycle! Of course. Why didn’t I think about that? My commando woman in a Harley.”
She groaned again and shook her head. “So, remember when I told you my favorite movie was Last First Kiss?”
“You didn’t!?” He laughed, pulling the tarp.
A bubble-gum-pink scooter complete with a basket shined unused before him. The heroine in the movie was a florist who fell in love with a conman. She drove all over New York in her scooter and everyone knew her by the bike.
He pulled her to him. “You really did watch my movies.”
“I told you I did.” She ran her fingers through his hair. “Wanna go for a spin? It’s my favorite thing that I own. We can go down to the beach.”
“God, I love you, you crazy woman!” He lifted her up and spun her around. “I guess this would be fitting since after all, I was your last first kiss.”
Acknowledgments
These acknowledgments get harder every time. I want to start by thanking all my readers and all the great blogs out there. Your continued excitement and support is what fuels me to keep writing. Thank you so much. I wish I could hug each and every one of you.
Sarah, my agent—you are a constant in my acknowledgments, because you are constantly cheering for me and guiding me. Sometimes I detour a bit, but you push me in the right direction. Thank you for being you! Here’s to more New York Happy Hours! Cheers!
Lizzie, you pushed me hard in Kiss Marry Kill, and this book is stronger for it. So, thank you, and I’ll miss you very much. I wish we could have made more books together. I wish you so much success in your new journey! And, Alex, I can’t wait to work with you and the rest of the wonderful St. Martin’s Press team!
And last but definitely not least—my husband. Without you I wouldn’t have the time to do what I love. So, thank you for brainstorming with me, for listening to me whine, complain, and worry, and for buying me Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups when I’m close to a deadline. I love you and our three perfect little humans.

USA Today bestselling author Sidney Halston lives her life with one simple rule: “Just Do It”—Nike. And that’s exactly what she did. After working hard as an attorney, Sidney picked up a pen for the first time at thirty years old to begin her dream of writing. Having never written anything other than very exciting legal briefs, she found an outlet for her imaginative, romantic side and wrote Seeing Red. That first pen stroke sealed the deal, and she fell in love with writing. Sidney lives in South Florida with her husband and children. She loves her family above all else, and reading follows a close second. When she’s not writing, you can find her reading and reading and reading. She’s a reader first and a writer second. When she’s not writing or reading, her life is complete and utter chaos, trying to balance family life with work and writing (and reading). But she wouldn’t have it any other way.
