Her Real Alpha

My hips started to move impatiently as my clit was throbbing with need and my sex clenching just the same. Hunter traced his tongue around my nipple and I moaned as I felt the teasing sensation in my core.

“Hunter…please…” I begged him for more, but he simply ran his tongue around my other nipple and slowly dragged it between his teeth.

I moaned and arched my back to give him more access to my boobs. He grazed his teeth and lips across my belly and down to the top of my sex. My hips lifted off the bed, I wanted his mouth on my clit, but he simply slid his finger through my wet folds and then rubbed it lightly against my clitoris.

I cried out as a sharp orgasm rang through me and my hands pulled against their restraints. I was breathing hard by the time I settled and then I felt Hunter’s fingers slide inside of me. I moaned as they thrust against my G-spot and I moved my hips against his fingers.

Hunter didn’t put his mouth on me, but he didn’t need to, he worked me with his hand as if he were trying to get a good grade. He rubbed my clitoris lightly while his fingers thrust inside of me relentlessly. The room was full of my moans and being restrained and having to keep my eyes shut only made everything more heightened. Another orgasm crashed over me even more intense than the first and I was left breathless.

  “Open your eyes,” Hunter whispered.

He climbed over me onto the bed and quickly untied me and I pushed the rope to the floor, he settled in between my legs and I guided him inside where he filled me up.

“Hunter…” I sighed as if he fulfilled a craving I’d been having. Which he was.

I circled my arms around Hunter’s neck and he started pumping his hips against mine as he thrust into me fast and hard. There were no more light touches and teasing caresses. I held onto Hunter tight and listened to his soft moans and grunts in my ear as I whimpered and moaned his name.

Abruptly, Hunter rolled over so that I was on top and I quickly positioned myself to get a good bounce going. He felt amazing, sliding so deep into me and my entire belly quivered every time the tip of his sex touched the very heart of me.

The more intense the pleasure got, the wilder I became to climax. Hunter gripped my hips and I braced my palms on his chest as he held me slightly above his hips so he could thrust into me faster.

I screamed his name as another orgasm completely wrecked me. My body shook as my sex clenched around Hunter’s cock rhythmically. He moaned and cursed as he kept pumping into me and impossibly, I climaxed again. I felt hyper sensitive as the pleasure was super intense. Hunter groaned and then I felt his hot release empty into me. I was a panting puddle of Jell-O as he pulled out of me and I wanted nothing more than to cuddle up with Hunter and lie in bed all day.

“Let’s take a bath,” he said softly as he stroked my hair.

I was sprawled out on top of him and completely spent.

“Okay, but you’ll have to carry me.”

I liked the rumble of his deeper voice and he was really warm, too.

“That’s fine with me,” he said and then carried me into the spacious bathroom.

The tub was built deep enough for two and Hunter sat me on the edge of the tub while he filled it and went to a cabinet to find some soaps and bath salts.

“You know how to make a bath all girly, too?”

“Yeah, I do. If you tell anyone other than your own conscience, I will kidnap you and lock you in an abandoned basement,” Hunter said in all seriousness and I laughed. “It’s not a laughing matter, this is private information you are learning about me,” Hunter said and I sobered my laughing into a smile.

“I understand, your secret is safe with me,” I said and Hunter nodded resolutely.

  “Good.”

I watched him with an amused smile as he filled the tub and added the perfect amount of smelling salts and soap to the tub. When he declared the water safe to sink into I got in gingerly, as I was admittedly a bit sore.

“You okay?” he asked and I nodded.

“It’s better once I get used to the temperature,” I said and he nodded. We both settled into the water, our legs intermingled and I felt pretty decadent. “Hunter, you’re spoiling me,” I said and he chuckled.

“You’re going to ruin me for other guys you know, I’ll expect them to be amazing in bed, great dancers, and know how to set the perfect bath,” I said and Hunter chuckled. His hair was damp and he pushed his fingers through it to push it out of his face.

“Melanie, that’s exactly my plan,” he said, completely serious yet again. “You know I…I really have feelings for you, it’s inexplicable, and believe me I’ve tried to beat it, but I can’t, Melanie. It’s like…I don’t know, kind of like you’re a missing part…of me,” Hunter said slowly and I couldn’t believe he was actually admitting how he felt about me to me.

“Hunter…” I was momentarily at a loss for words and Hunter shook his head at me.

“You don’t have to say anything, especially now when you don’t know what to say,” Hunter said and I simply nodded.

“Okay,” I said softly and he sort of watched me for a while and then smiled.

“You know you’re the only woman who I’ve let into my family drama…and you handled it perfectly,” Hunter admitted to me quietly and my heart literally melted for him. He dug a hole in it and then planted himself there.

“Hunter…stop talking like that,” I said and he simply shook his head at me.

“I want you, Melanie,” he said, still quiet, and then, to calm the odd feeling I had in my chest, I sloshed over to him and settled into his lap, resting my back against his chest.

Hunter wrapped his arms around me and rested his chin on the top of my head. Everything my mom and brother told me about my dilemma was coming to me full force. Hunter had somehow worked his way into my heart without my knowing it…had I made my decision?

I didn’t really want to think about anything or anyone else when I felt so content just being with Hunter.

  * * *

After spending four whole days in the Hamptons with Hunter, I was pretty sure that I didn’t want to leave the dream home with the dream guy. But I had to because I needed to meet with an editor in the city and Hunter had to be back at work.

“We’ll have dinner tonight, remember, you’ll finally get to see my place,” Hunter said on the phone as I rode in the back of a cab to the publishing house.

“Okay, I just…I loved spending those four days with you, I kind of want to keep you in my pocket,” I said and he chuckled on the other line.

“Trust me, I want to keep you in my pocket, too. Look I have a meeting walking in right now with my partner, I’ll see you tonight,” Hunter said and I sucked up my pouting.

“Alright, see you tonight,” I said and then we ended the call. Immediately after, Caleb called me and I sighed and then forced myself to smile when I answered.

“Hey, Mel,” Caleb said with a smile to his voice and I couldn’t help but actually smile in return, Caleb was just so good-natured.

“Hey, Caleb, this is a surprise…since when do you make live phone calls?” I asked and he laughed.

“Since I have to invite you to a family dinner with me for tomorrow night, I’m sorry it’s such short notice,” Caleb said. I kind of froze, he wanted me to meet his family? “It’s my sister’s birthday tomorrow and my mom is throwing her a dinner party. Clary and Peter are still dating so he’ll be there and Clary let it slip to my mom that you and I were dating. So, of course, I’m obligated to bring you or divert to an alternate universe,” Caleb said.

“Alright, alright, take a breath. I’ll come, it does make sense, since Peter is going,” I said and I heard Caleb’s sigh of relief.

“Thank you, I promise I’m not trying to move too fast and freak you out or anything,” Caleb said and I smiled.

“I know don’t worry, I’ll be there,” I said and then after a few well wishes we ended the call.

What was I doing agreeing to see Caleb again…as his date?
I was half in love with Hunter! I put down my phone and then scrubbed my face with my hands, one of which had paint all over it, incidentally.

I groaned and then went to wash my face and I looked at my reflection in the mirror. I was about one family dinner away from being in an unmanageable mess. I just didn’t know how to tell Caleb that I didn’t want to…date him anymore. I threw myself into painting and forced myself to forget about boys all together.

When I heard a knock on the door I was startled out of the zone I was in. I had finished three full paintings in record time. I took a step back and looked at the three scenes of a boy on a walk through the park with his nanny.

I should paint like that more often. Maybe the fuel of being in a near cluster fuck, dating two guys at the same time, was good for my creative process. I sighed and then went to open the door, I felt drained, guilty, but also excited to see Hunter all at once.

“Whoa, are you okay?” he asked and I nodded and then shrugged.

“Um, I was, like, in some sort of zone, painting today, it was kind of draining after I stopped,” I said evasively and Hunter gave me a crooked smile and then pulled me into a warm hug. “You smell really nice,” I said and he chuckled.

“Thank you, it’s a scent suited perfectly to make you mine,” he said and I rolled my eyes against his chest. I pulled away so he could come inside and then I shut the door behind him.

“You aren’t in any rush to get to your place are you?” I asked and Hunter shook his head.

“No, take your time, I’m having dinner delivered from the best chicken wing and curly fries place in the city,” Hunter said and I grinned.

“You’re not ordering Hooters are you?” I asked and he laughed.

“God no, some place much better,” he promised and then followed me back to my room as I went to change.

“Did you not get enough sleep last night or something?” Hunter asked, he was studying me closely and I looked at him as if the answer were obvious.

“Well, as you spent the night here last night, I think you know the answer to that question,” I said and Hunter grinned as if he were proud of himself.

“I’ll make sure you get home early then so you can get some sleep,” he said and I nodded.

I would much rather a stiff drink, my chest got tight every time I thought about Caleb. Maybe I should just cancel on him, before I started having heart palpitations.

“I have to make a phone call really quickly…excuse me,” I said abruptly and before Hunter could say anything I pulled my phone out of my pocket and left the room to leave the apartment and go out into the hallway.

Just as I was about to dial Caleb’s number, Peter calls me.

  “Hey…Peter…” I said slowly when I answered.

“Hey, Mel, are you okay? You sound like a zombie or something…” he said and I sighed heavily.

“I’m about to be a zombie, I don’t know if I can go to Clary’s birthday dinner tomorrow night, Peter…I’m like having heart palpitations,” I said and he paused on the other line.

“Is it because you’re still dating that other guy that we still haven’t met yet?” Peter asked and I sighed heavily.

“Yes, and I really, really like him, so now I feel bad because I think I need to break things off with Caleb,” I said and then took a few deep breaths.

“Oh no, no, no, no, no. Don’t break things off with Caleb, just give him another shot, go to dinner tomorrow and then make your full decision,” Peter said and I sighed deeply.

“Peter are you just saying that so your chances with Clary don’t get jeopardized?” I asked him.

“Of course not, look I’m just thinking about your best interests. Clary and I are fine, we really get along and things are going great. It’s just that Caleb seems like a really great guy and you might kick yourself later if you make the wrong choice, break his heart, and lose him forever,” Peter said and I sighed.

“Fine, okay, fine…If I die, Peter, from a heart attack caused by anxiety, it’ll be on you,” I said and I could practically hear Peter’s eyes rolling.

“You’ll be fine, don’t worry. I’ll see you tomorrow?” he asked and I reluctantly told him that I’d be there.

I ended the call and then went to get dressed to go to Hunter’s place. He had a huge penthouse on the Upper East Side and it was really tastefully decorated, it was modern, but still warm and had two levels. It was nice hanging out with him and eating chicken wings while we had a mini action movie marathon.

Afterwards, Hunter dropped me back at my apartment and instead of sleeping, I was kept up with a guilty conscience and threw myself into painting again. The publisher I was contracted to was going to be amazed at how quickly I got his project done.

When the sun came up, I forced myself to stop painting. I wouldn’t have to paint again for at least the rest of the week. I sighed and then went to clean up and go out to get a cup of very strong Cuban coffee, after which I went to visit my brother at his firm.

“Dude, you look like shit,” he said frankly as I walked into his office. I plopped down onto one of the couches in the palatial space. He had a great view of the city and I stared at it like a zombie while I sipped my coffee that had multiple shots of espresso added to it.

“I feel like it…I think I just created the perfect recipe for giving myself the flu or something. No sleep, worry, cold weather, and now caffeine to lower my immune system,” I said and Joe shook his head at me.

“What’s wrong?” he asked, truly concerned about me.

“I don’t know what I’m doing. I think I want to swear off of guys,” I said and Joe sighed.

“If this whole thing is getting you sick now, I think it’s time for you to make a decision or cop out of both relationships. You look like…I don’t know what,” Joe said and he took the cup of coffee away from me and handed me an orange juice. “To fight the flu,” he said when I looked up at him with a pout.

“I think I know who I want, but you know that Peter is dating Clary and I’ve been invited to her birthday dinner and Caleb wants to bring me as his date. I’ll be meeting his whole family, his three brothers, his parents, and his dogs,” I said and Joe tried to hide his chuckle with a cough, I sighed and rolled my eyes at him.

“So relax and then after tonight tell Caleb you can’t see him anymore,” Joe said and I took a few deep breaths.

“Okay…I’ll try,” I said and Joe nodded.

“Good, now in the meantime, take a nap, right there,” he said and I stretched out on the couch.

“But do you have any meetings or anything?” I asked him and he shook his head.

“No, don’t worry about it. You just rest and stop stressing,” Joe said.

I nodded and forced myself to relax. Soon my eyes were closing on their own accord and I was out.

Joe woke me up and I lifted my head to see that it was getting dark outside.

“Wake up sleeping beauty, come on I’ll drive you home,” he said and then I got up, stretched, and followed him outside. I felt better after my nap, but Joe kept looking over at me as if he were worried.

“I think you are going to catch the flu, maybe you should stay home tonight,” he said and I shook my head, but then felt like everything was in slow motion as my head suddenly weighed a million pounds.

“Oi…” I said and then put my head in my hands.

“Yep, you better call Caleb,” Joe said and I groaned.

“I don’t want to be sick, Joe,” I complained and he sighed then shook his head.

“Don’t worry, hopefully it’s just a cold and not the flu,” he said and I sighed heavily. This was not how I envisioned that evening to go. “Oh hey, so I have…news. It turns out that Christy is interested in my money a bit more than she’s actually interested in me. I realized that we’re just friend material,” Joe said and I reached over to rub his arm.

“It’s okay, Joe, you’ll find the one, I promise,” I said and he shrugged.

  “I know sh
e’s out there, this is a big city,” he said optimistically and I smiled, that was Joe for you.

My brother dropped me off at my apartment after he made sure I would stay home and rest. After he had gone I changed into warm pajamas and curled up on the couch with a thick blanket. I felt a fever coming on and I was getting the chills already. I dozed off on the couch and completely forgot to call Caleb, the next thing I knew I was woken up by a knock on the door.

I got up and shuffled over to open up. Caleb looked amazing wearing a lilac crew neck sweater and a light grey blazer over it with jeans and a pair of light grey Converse. His hair was even coiffed up like James Dean often wore his hair and I almost wanted to cry, Caleb was just so gorgeous.
