Noah’s heart sank further at the thought of losing Simon. When he looked over at the other man, he saw the same despair on Simon’s face. Levi must have seen it, too. “You know that’s not what I really want, Simon, but I don’t know what else to do.”

“Maybe I do,” Simon said softly. He looked at Noah. “How do you feel about bald men?”

  “What?”

“I’ve needed an aide for a long time, and now more than ever. Graham will recognize the need for a security guard. After all, someone has to watch the slave while I’m working. Of course, Levi will need a makeover—a new identity and a new look. Maybe skin grafts for the tattoo.”

Levi’s jaw dropped. “How long do you think we can keep up a charade like that?”

“Long enough to come up with something else. My days at the DSA are numbered.” He held up a hand when Noah tried to protest. “I’m okay with that. I chose the job because I thought it was what my father wanted for me. At the time I thought I wanted it, too, and the job became my life. Now I realize it wasn’t much of a life. I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if I kept working for the bad guys.”

“Okay,” Levi said. “So what’s our next move?”

Simon let out a breath. “We move to a more secure building. It’s not a stretch, since I now have a slave and an aide under my roof. I keep my job with the DSA, for a little while, anyway. Maybe I can do some good from inside the agency.”

Noah shook his head. “It’ll put you in too much danger.”

“It puts us all in danger, sweetheart. If Graham finds out I’m working both sides, we’re all dead. That’s why we have to be in complete agreement.”

Noah’s mind spun. He knew one thing for sure. He would not give up Levi or Simon. Not now. Not ever. “I always had a thing for bald men and tattoos. A skin graft is too obvious. What Levi needs is a few more. What do you think, Levi?”

“I think you’re pretty damn smart. Maybe you should play the aide and I’ll play the slave.”

Noah grinned at him. “I think you’ll be playing the slave anyway. At least in the bedroom.”

Simon got up and walked over to them. He got on his knees and laid his head on Noah’s lap. “If things get too hot, we book out of town. I promise I’ll take care of you, both of you.”

Noah put a hand on Simon’s head. Levi laid his hand on top of Noah’s. Noah instantly felt the stress of their situation melt away in the warmth emanating from his two lovers. He felt a real sense of peace and security for the first time in years. A man’s future was always uncertain, but if he had love in his life he could look ahead with hope. And Noah was sure of one thing, he’d never been loved by anyone the way these two men loved him. If love really did conquer all, they would have their happy ending.
