“I think the gun went off on accident and you two are the best of friends and would never hurt each other.” Rachel’s serious face never broke character.
“Alright, say this story is true, what makes you think I’m going to tell it?” Jefferson sipped more of his coffee, waiting.
Rachel looked over at a table next to them where two men with sitting. Jefferson recognized them but hadn’t paid that much attention to them. “Ethan, do you want to show Jefferson why he should comply?”
Ethan pulled up a box from under his table.
“This is everything I need to make Casimir hate you.” Rachel said, never breaking her gaze with Jefferson. “Everything in that box will make you a liability to his operation and he’ll have no choice but to kill you.”
“So you haven’t spoken to Casimir yet.” Jefferson nodded and looked down at the table. “Your plan is a bit flawed, Rachel.”
Rachel didn’t say anything so Jefferson continued. “I’ll do it. I’ll drop the charges against Kelly, but first, I’m gonna tell you about a girl named Alice and what happened to her.”
