The Trinity: The Ashland Pack Series

  Adrianna heard a knock at her door. Cade was waiting with wild flowers when she opened it. Cade just stared at Adrianna, looking her up and down, finally making eye contact. “What’s wrong?” Adrianna asked, looking down at her dress.

  “Wow, I’ve never seen a more beautiful woman.”

  Adrianna blushed as she looked down fidgeting with her dress. Cade couldn’t stop looking at her, she was a beautiful woman. Her skin had a slight olive color to it. Her hair looked like silk hanging down her back. He had only seen her hair up in a ponytail since he arrived at the resort. Cade finally realized he was staring at Adrianna as if he had never seen her before.

  Cade spoke again, “You look beautiful, Adrianna.”

  “Thanks Cade, that’s sweet of you to say.” Adrianna looked down at the flowers and pointed, “The flowers are beautiful.”

  “Oh sorry, they’re for you.” Cade looked at her smiling.

  “How did you know wild flowers were my favorite?” Adrianna asked, while admiring the flowers.

  “I remember when you were little and your mom would send me and Mace to find you. We always found you at Seige field laying in the wild flowers.”

  “You remember that?”

  “I remember everything, Adrianna.”

  Adrianna looked up at Cade. She couldn’t believe Cade remembered that. Something squeezed at her heart; the feeling unknown to her. Could there be something to this? she thought. She swallowed and looked away from his smile. Adrianna walked over to her sink and put the flowers in a vase then filled it with water. She sat them beside her bed so she could admire them later when she came back home. She walked back over to Cade.

  “So my lady, are you ready to go and eat?” Cade asked as he offered his arm to her.

  “Yes, I’m starving, but did you get my note saying that I would meet you in the dining room?”

  “Yes, but this is a date and I will always pick you up at your door like a gentleman should.”

  Adrianna’s stomach growled, embarrassing her.

  “Well we better hurry then before you start eating me.”

  They both laughed as Adrianna took Cade’s outstretched arm thinking how much she would love to lick and eat Cade Maxwell. She could smell Cade’s cologne and his scent. Cade was yummy, but she had to stay on track and make sure she didn’t lose her nerve when she came face to face with both of her mates.

  As they walked into the dining room, all eyes were watching Adrianna. She had a beauty that was untouched and she didn’t even know it. Samson was waiting in the dining hall when he saw Adrianna walk in with Cade. He walked up to them but the smile had left his face when he saw Cade had her arm hooked through his.

  Adrianna spoke before Cade could say something smartass to Samson. Cade had a wolfish grin on his face that told Samson, Adrianna had chosen him.

  “Thank you, Samson, for meeting me for dinner. I would like to talk to you and Cade together.”

  Cade looked at Adrianna as if he’d been sucker punched “I thought we were having dinner alone, Adrianna?”

  “We are Cade, but we will be having this dinner together because I have something to say to both of you. I have a table reserved in the back for us. Nobody needs to hear this conversation. Let’s sit down, all of us.”

  Cade looked at Samson as if he was going to rip his head off because of what Adrianna said. Samson smiled and waited for Adrianna to be seated at the table before he sat down. Cade pulled out the chair for Adrianna to sit in. Tension was circulating in the air around their table. Cade and Samson were staring at each other. Neither one liked the fact they had to share Adrianna.

  “Okay, let’s order, then you two are going to listen. If you chose to leave, then don’t expect me to take you back,” she stated in a firm tone.

  Both Samson and Cade turned and looked at Adrianna, not understanding why she was talking to them like that.

  The waiter came to the table and asked if they knew what they wanted to order. Adrianna ordered steaks with all the trimmings for everyone. Cade and Samson were still staring at her in shock. Adrianna felt empowered at the moment. She looked over and saw Damen and Mace sitting close by. Damen smiled then winked at her. He held his thumb up telling her to be strong. Adrianna knew she had to just get it all out and let them know how she felt. She knew Samson and Cade were very dominate people and would run over her if she allowed them. Damn it, she was the Supreme Alpha’s Protector. She could do this, she thought.

  “Now, it seems the fates have graced me with two mates, if my body and mind are correct, then it’s you two. I’m okay with that now. However, this is how it’s going to be. First, I will have two mates and not ‘let’s choose and then the other one will bow out.’”

  Both Cade and Samson knew now that Adrianna had been in her room and overheard their conversation.

  “It will be both of you as my mates or none at all. Second, I’m a virgin and I’m nervous about being with both of you. But I know you two will show me what to do. I am not stupid, so please don’t treat me as if I am. I want us to get to know each other first, before I have sex with either of you. I will listen to you both, but don’t think you will run over me and tell me what to do all the time. I am a grown woman and a Protector. Third, I have a job to do and I will not give that up simply because you two can’t handle me being around other men. It’s my job to train and advise these men and women to be Protectors and Guards for their people. I will support you in your job, so I hope you will return that and support mine. Now I feel so much better getting that off my mind, let’s eat.”

  Both Cade and Samson sat there with their mouths open, looking at Adrianna as if she was some crazy person. Their food came to the table and Adrianna never spoke again. She sat there and ate, feeling great that she told her mates how their life was going to be. Adrianna allowed herself to smile and thought back at what Damen told her to tell them. It sounded rational in her mind when she was going over what to say when she met with her mates.

  Cade and Samson sat at the table not touching their food, thinking about how they were told how it was going to be with their mate. Plus, she was actually sitting there eating and smiling.

  Adrianna finished and finally looked up at Cade and Samson, who were still looking at her with a blank expression on their faces. Adrianna smiled at both of them before leaning over and kissing both of her mates on the cheek.

  “I am so glad you both understand. I will leave both of you to finish your meal and get to know each other better. I have to finish some paperwork before we leave in a couple of days. I will see you two later. Bye.”

  Adrianna got up; leaving the table thinking how great the speech had gone. As she was leaving, she saw Mace and Damen eating at their table. She smiled at them then winked at Damen feeling great about their little talk they had earlier in the day. Adrianna felt better as she left the dining hall returning to her room.

  “What’s that about?” Mace asked Damen.

  “Well, Adrianna came by my room today worried about being with her mates and them fighting over her. I told her she needed to sit them down together and tell them it was all or nothing, and the rest would work out.”

  “Look at them, they look like a train wreck,” Mace said as he started laughing.

  Damen looked over at Cade and Samson staring at the spot Adrianna was previously sitting in. “Oh well, its time they both started getting along with each other and learning how to share her.”

  “For some reason I don’t know if it’s going to be that easy,” Mace said as he stared at Cade and Samson sitting in silence.

  It was as if the haze had lifted when Cade shook his head and finally looked up at Samson, letting a small chuckle escape his lips. “I think we’ve been put rightfully in our place by our beautiful mate.”

  “I hope she doesn’t think I am going to listen to her tell me what to do. I am not made like that and I have already told her so.”

  Cade snickered then said, “Well, if we have to share her, the
n she needs to learn some lessons. First, she may be the Trinity, but we are her mates and I won’t bow down to her and do what she tells me to do.”

  Cade and Samson sat there calculating a plan to show their mate just who the bosses were going to be in their relationship. This getting to know each other stuff, well they just couldn’t wait that long to have their mate. They came up with a plan to seduce their mate before they left for Ashland.

  Chapter Seven

  Dalley Cord sat at the table waiting for the vampire who was a traitor to his people. She couldn’t stand vampires and wanted to get rid of all of them. She believed that witches should rule the world. Her magic could do things that a vampire could only dream about. She knew that eventually she would need to kill the vampire, but she needed him until her Master told her he was not useful anymore. He was just a pawn in the Master’s plan. Dalley wanted to be Second in charge. She knew she was good, but she couldn’t produce magic like her Master. Dalley believed her sons would then rule when they killed the Supreme Alpha as they were meant to do.

  Finally, her son, Eli, would rule the Ashland Pack if he didn’t screw this up. Eli Cord and his brothers had only one mission ten years ago and that was to kill Cale and Olivia McDonald, then kill their kids. Mace was their son and he was overseas when his parents were killed. In addition, Eli was supposed to kill their daughter, Adrianna McDonald. Dalley didn’t know that Afton Mackenzie was also in Ashland when Eli went after Adrianna. Eli was a typical male, started thinking with his other head, and tried to rape her. Eli beat her, he thought to death, but Selena McPherson gave her own blood to Adrianna, which saved her life. Now she was stronger than ever, they called her the Trinity. Dalley laughed aloud. She knew her Master wanted to keep Adrianna to utilize the power she had, but Dalley wanted her dead. What the Master didn’t know wouldn’t hurt him. She would need to keep that under wraps for now. She wouldn’t let Adrianna be more powerful than her. She was going to be Second in charge, not Adrianna.

  Edward Jonas walked in the door with his body and head draped in a black cape and hood. If the Vampire Council knew he was the traitor, they would bleed him dry. Secrecy was the number one priority if they planned to pull this off. They had taken to hiding in a bigger town outside of Ashland. They’d found out that Afton Mackenzie, the Supreme Alpha, was moving the Werewolf Society to Ashland along with the Trinity.

  Mitch Founder was the only werewolf that survived the first attack on the Supreme Alpha at the Oakland Resort. They would’ve succeeded if it weren’t for Adrianna McDonald. The spell she cast on Adrianna didn’t work on her for some reason. She should’ve been bound motionless just like the other Protectors. Dalley knew Adrianna was considered the Trinity, but she felt certain her spell would have held her. Her son, Eli Cord, should have killed her; now she had grown more powerful and she had found her mates. They needed to regroup and wait for instructions from the Master. The Master’s identity would surprise them all. When the time was right, then the Master would show himself.

  Edward Jonas removed his disguise while staring at Dalley Cord sitting at the table.

  “So Edward, what happened? You said you had it under control, that Afton Mackenzie would be dead. Now they know that black magic was used to hold the Protectors and Guards. They will figure it out. You have failed the Master. The Master won’t be happy.”

  Edward Jonas looked up at Dalley Cord with disgust in his eyes. “It wasn’t my fault. I didn’t know the Trinity had been found or that it was Adrianna McDonald. The plan was perfect until she showed up. She has magic that I’ve never seen. The air was crackling around her because her magic is so powerful. I didn’t even know the Trinity existed.”

  “Well, regardless of the outcome, the Master will not be happy. Eventually, you will have to show yourself and do more than what you are doing. Killing somebody will be part of it. I know you don’t like to get your hands dirty, but this time you will,” Dalley stated while looking at Edward Jonas with disgust.

  Dalley enjoyed the look of fear in Edward Jonas’s eyes. It was gone quickly, but she saw it and smiled.

  “You know you can get your hands dirty too, Dalley. As soon as the Twister’s Council finds out you are out and the person in the prison isn’t really you, then you will be hunted by them all. So I would suggest you stop acting like this is all my fault and let’s try to fix it.” Edward stated as he got up pacing the room.

  Dalley and Edward made small talk as they waited for their Master to arrive. She thought about killing him at the table, but she knew the people he owed money to would probably kill him. She couldn’t wait to see that.

  Edward Jonas was presently the Leader of the Vampire Council. He needed to keep it that way in order to pay off his debts to some of the lowest scum on earth. First, was a wizard by the name of Johnny the Fink? He was a wizard and a loan shark who dealt with anyone including vampires, werewolves, and fairies in order to make money. Edward was in debt to him for three million dollars. How he managed to keep it a secret from the Council was beyond her. What did he do with the money?

  Dalley couldn’t believe the idiot spent three million dollars. She had heard he loved women and liked to beat them. However, some didn’t survive the beatings. So in order to stay out of jail, he paid off the Madams not to tell. What a sick bastard, he deserved to die. Oh well, she would let her Master be the judge of how he was killed. Her Master wouldn’t let him live; he was too much of a liability to the plan. Dalley sat there with her hand under her chin, not listening to the vampire talk. She continued to sit and plan until her Master arrived.

  Chapter Eight

  Cade and Samson walked to Adrianna’s room to put their plan into motion. Cade knocked on the door but nobody answered. Cade could smell Adrianna in her room so they knew she was in there.

  Samson said, “Well, if she won’t open the door, then we will just have to go in.” Samson pulled a little pouch out of his pocket that was used for picking locks. He used the tools and popped the door lock. He eased the door open, hoping to surprise Adrianna. She wasn’t in the bedroom but they heard her in the bathroom. They could smell that Adrianna had taken a shower. It sounded like she was putting on clothes. They needed to act fast.

  Adrianna was just getting out of the shower putting lotion on her body when the bathroom door slammed open. Adrianna went on alert, going down in a crouch position, showing her fangs to the intruder. When she saw who it was and that both Samson and Cade were looking her up and down, it finally hit her that she was naked and showing everything to her mates. She quickly grabbed a towel to put around her, but before she could get the towel wrapped and scream at her mates, Cade grabbed her by the arm, jerked her into the bedroom, and threw her on the bed. Samson had one arm pinned down and Cade had her other arm.

  Adrianna started thrashing, trying to get her arms loose from their grip. “What the hell is wrong with you two? Let me go now.”

  Samson spoke first, “Now that we have your undivided attention, you will listen to us, our beautiful mate,” he snapped, his mouth pressed into a hard line.

  “Let me put on some clothes first, then I will listen, geez.”

  Both Cade and Samson looked down at her naked body and shook their heads. “No,” Cade said still looking down at Adrianna’s naked body.

  “Adrianna, I have told you before that I will be your partner, but not your ‘yes man.’ I listened to your speech at dinner, now you will listen to how it’s going to be. Cade and I have talked. First of all, we understand you train the Protectors and Guards, but one of us will always be with you when you do.” Adrianna started to speak and Samson put his finger over her mouth to shut her up. “Second, I… well, we, don’t like being told what to do either, so we need to compromise on this. So don’t think you will degrade us or tell us what to do in front of others. We are your mates, not your slaves and third, your training in sex will begin tonight.”

  Both Cade and Samson leaned down and sucked a nipple into their mouth, sucking hard t
hen licking around the edges, throwing Adrianna into a tailspin. Adrianna couldn’t think, she felt like she was going up in flames. Her nipples hardened under their torture.

  Cade’s wolf responded to the taste of his mate and started pushing him to mark her. The smell and taste of Adrianna’s arousal made Cade’s wolf crazy. He tried to stay calm but his wolf was trying to take over. He had never had this happen. Cade was always in control of his wolf, until now. Cade pushed his wolf back, telling him to hold on, she was an innocent.

  Feeling their mouths on her, it was so erotic and hot. She couldn’t control her body and the way it was responding to them.

  Cade looked up at her capturing her with his gaze. His hand reached down toward the apex between her thighs. Then she looked over and saw Samson looking at her with the same look. The look she would always crave now.

  “This is only a taste of what is to come, Adrianna,” Samson whispered.

  “You’re so beautiful, Adrianna. I don’t know if I can control myself with you.” Cade’s voice was rough, a threat she wanted to come true, but she was scared. Cade pushed his finger inside of her. “You are so wet, Adrianna. You like when I do this, don’t you?”

  “Yes…. please,” Adrianna begged.

  “Tell us what you want, Adrianna,” Samson asked.

  Before she could answer Samson, Adrianna cried out as the orgasm skyrocketed through her body. She unraveled, exploding around Cade’s finger. Her body ached with desire. She tried to breathe, but her heart continued thumping faster and faster. Cade never missed a beat. He continued to torture her by putting two fingers inside her. Pulling them out and then slamming them back in. He placed his thumb on her clit, already swollen from desire, rubbing in a circular motion eliciting a moan from Adrianna.
