  "While I'm turning you could try to attack me, but you and I both know that won't save you." The old fuck was breathing harder, head jerking this way and that as his eyes searched desperately for any escape. The soreness in Celine's gums deepened. Her bones and muscles ached. Her stomach twisted. Though she couldn't see her own eyes she knew that by now they had begun glowing. Her time was coming… and Boil's time was running out. She glanced at the watch again.

  "In about six minutes I'm going to turn. And after I do, I'm going to lay into you, piece by piece. Whatever's left won't even be recognizable as human."

  "P-please," the meat sack stammered.

  "Too late for 'pleases,'" she said. "Too late for 'I'm sorries.' You should have thought about those things before you murdered my father, you rat-fuck."

  He broke down sobbing.

  Celine watched…

  And waited for the full moon to rise.

  ABOUT THE AUTHOR

  Micky Neilson is a two-time New York Times best-selling author whose graphic novels, Ashbringer (#2 on the list) and Pearl of Pandaria (#3) have both been published in six languages. As one of the first writers at Blizzard Entertainment, he has more than two decades of experience in the cutting edge of the gaming industry. He is currently working on a graphic novel, Rook, as well as a number of film projects.
