Academy of the Devi- the Complete Collection Page 71

“Oh, Lyssa…” Meph let out a slow breath. “We’ve told you once before. This will go in whatever direction you want it to go.”

“Stop doubting yourself and clinging to scruples that don’t matter,” Mikael offered.

“Nothing we can do or say right now will make a difference when it comes to your opinion,” Callum added. “In time, you’ll learn how to control your powers. Until then, you can do whatever you please, whatever you think is right.”

“Are you uncomfortable being around us?” Stefan asked. “Because if you are…”

I turned toward him, and then promptly turned away when I realized he was naked. I’d seen him like that plenty of times before and I knew it was a natural consequence of having been in a shifted form earlier, but I had trouble focusing whenever I saw him like that.

“That’s not it,” I answered. “In fact, that’s the whole problem. I do want to be with you. I just…”

I didn’t want to hurt them. I was so tired. I was frustrated and confused. I wanted someone, anyone, to show me the right path, to give a clue on what I was supposed to do next.

Tears pooled at the corner of my eyes and I furiously wiped them away. “I’m a fucking mess. What am I doing here? Maybe I should’ve just given up my power and gone home.”

“You can, if you want to,” Lucifer said calmly. He gripped my chin and forced our eyes to meet. “But you don’t want to, do you?”

I shook my head. I couldn’t imagine going back to my previous life after everything I’d experienced at The Academy of the Devil. Too much had happened. I’d changed. Maybe Lucifer could’ve manipulated my memories to make me forget everything, but I didn’t want to lose those experiences.

Good and bad, I’d learned from them and they were precious, in their own way.

Lucifer brushed a kiss over my forehead. “We keep telling you, Alyssa. You need to take your time. I know it feels like you’re on a deadline, but you’re really not. Your mind magic isn’t going to kill anyone, not while you’re here. Even if it does influence us, it won’t be in a way we dislike.”

“I think you don’t give yourself enough credit, Lyssa,” Stefan piped up. “This will sound odd, but don’t you remember what The Supreme Being said? This power was given to you because you can carry its burden. I’m not the type of person to place my faith in things like that, but I think I understand what it means now. And I think in your heart, so do you. Otherwise, you wouldn’t be here, with us.”

He was right. God help me, he was right. Hope was addictive to demons, but it was also a pure emotion. If my lovers had only cared about hope, it wouldn’t have been so complicated to claim my power for themselves.

“I have no doubt that your magic called us to you,” Callum admitted, “but it’s not why we stayed. I like to think we’re not as easy to subdue as that. Okay?”

Maybe I should’ve kept protesting, but I didn’t have the strength anymore. I wanted them back.

It was selfish and perhaps a big mistake. But I’d told them the truth when I’d said I would love them like a demon. I wanted to do exactly that. I wanted to claim them as my own, just like they had claimed me.

I wanted us to have a real family together, to build a future that wouldn’t be weighed down by the black and white morality of the conflict between The Heavens and Hell.

Without allowing myself to hesitate further, I blurted out two simple words. “Kiss me.”

My lovers stared at me, having obviously not expected that. Or maybe they didn’t know which one of them I was talking to. “I want to be with you. With all of you.”

I met their without flinching, facing them one at a time. “I know it’s selfish, maybe . I know I’m asking a lot. But still, these feelings… They won’t go away. I think I need…”

Lucifer crushed our mouths together before I could even finish the sentence. He pulled away much too quickly, but by then, my head was already spinning and my body was aflame with lust. “We know what you need, love,” he said. “All you ever have to do is ask.”

“And don’t ever think your emotions are wrong,” Callum added. “They’re not. They’re beautiful, just like you.”

It wasn’t the first time they’d told me that, but still the concept made me tear up again. Meph leaned over and licked the tear off my cheek. “Everything about you is beautiful, even the parts that you hate. Remember that.”

Lucifer pressed his hand against the ground and a soft, mossy surface grew over the volcanic rock. Slowly, he guided me down, laying me onto the moss. “Tell us if you want us to stop. Just say the word.”

I nodded, although I didn’t think I’d be able to keep my promise. My mouth was already dry, so much so that I doubted I’d be able to make my vocal cords work. But it didn’t matter anyway, since I never needed to speak for them to understand me.

“Close your eyes,” Lucifer whispered. “Just let yourself feel and clear your head.”

It was so easy to listen to his hypnotic words, so easy to obey them. Like he had said, I closed my eyes and surrendered to my lovers.

At first, they didn’t try to touch me sexually, not with their hands at least. Their magic swept over me, holding so many flavors and feelings it almost overwhelmed me. Their combined powers felt dark and seductive, but also wild, untamed, soft, cruel, sweet, and vengeful. As hot as Stefan’s hell fire, as cold as Mikael’s eyes, as bright as Lucifer’s light, as sharp as Meph’s claws, as insidious as Callum’s aura, it all threatened to consume me whole.

Once, it would’ve frightened me, but today, I embraced it. My body instinctively responded to their power, calling out to them and inviting them to take what was theirs.

“If I hadn’t already fallen from The Heavens, you’d have been enough to convince me,” Lucifer whispered. “You have no idea how much of a gift you are.”

And then, there were no more words, because conversation was pointless. I felt the clawed tips of Stefan’s fingers through my dress, but it didn’t give me any pause. I was swimming through a puddle of ecstatic relaxation, but at the same time, I looked forward to what I knew would be coming.

My lovers didn’t disappoint. Before long, they had me naked on the ground, exploring every inch of me they could reach. Lucifer spread my legs, caressing the insides of my thighs with gentle fingers. It was the first time he and I were together like this, so it should’ve felt at least a little embarrassing. It didn’t. As he buried his face between my legs and stabbed his tongue into my pussy, I cried out, the lazy pleasure exploding into something far more brutal, more threatening.

I’d never given much thought to the actual composition of light. I’d never been great at physics and if I had learned the concepts once, I would’ve certainly forgotten it by now. But at that moment, when Lucifer touched me so intimately, I felt that light did have a physical substance, and that it undoubtedly felt like that, hot, but somehow soothing, sharp, but soft.

My other lovers didn’t allow me to dwell too much on this. Callum and Mikael started sucking on my breasts while Meph’s tail wriggled its way over my chest. It was a little ticklish, but laughter couldn’t have been further from my mind. My pregnancy had made my nipples more sensitive as every flick of my lovers’ tongues sent sparks of pleasure through my body. Meanwhile, Lucifer never stopped tormenting me, taking great pleasure in tasting me, licking my labia and sucking on my clit.

Even if they’d told me to relax and just take it, I soon found myself instinctively moving into his caress, needing more of the sensation. “Please… Please fuck me,” I croaked out.

“I love it when you’re like this, pet,” Meph answered. “You beg so prettily.”

Lucifer pulled his mouth away from my pussy, leaving me feeling empty and abandoned. Before I could protest, he dragged me into his lap, helped along by the others.

His cock slid into me with such ease that I had to wonder why we’d waited for so long. I couldn’t remember why I’d doubted this when his touch felt so right, so perfect
.

It had been a while since I’d had sex with any of them, but my body effortlessly adjusted to the penetration. I stared into his golden eyes and, not for the first time, marveled at the genuine affection they held.

I couldn’t deny it any longer and I refused to do it.

Once, Lucifer had told me I was his hope, his dream, his future queen. I might not deserve all that, but I accepted his words anyway.

Lucifer started to move in and out of me, but he kept his thrusts slow, almost lazy, as if he was afraid I would break. Normally, I’d have chastised him for it, but there was a deeper meaning in his touch, something almost worshipful that I understood at a level that went beyond the carnal.

Meph, Callum, Mikael, and Stefan sensed it too. When their hands roamed my body, they took their time, gradually reacquainting themselves with every inch of me they could reach. Stefan and Meph’s claws raked over my skin, teasing my oversensitive nerve endings. Even that sensation felt different, a little slower than it had been in the past.

When Mikael reached for my anus, I was ready for him. My channel sucked in his slicked fingers, and I moaned, already craving the feeling only true penetration could give me.

Yes, I was greedy, but I’d learned to embrace all the deep sins in my heart at The Academy of the Devil. When expressed like this, I found them beautiful and almost as pure as the hope so many people praised.

When Mikael replaced his fingers with his cock, I didn’t tense. It felt as right as Lucifer’s touch did, so there was no need to worry. The mild burn was a natural part of the process and it made everything more real, keeping me from believing I’d fallen into a fantasy.

The moment he buried his dick inside me, I felt a huge difference. I hadn’t expected it, but I could sense Mikael and Lucifer connect, through me. They were both angels at the very core and somehow, my body knew that. The pleasure that rushed over me was entirely different from anything I’d felt before, the divine light of their magic almost overwhelming my sense of self.

But their darkness was there too, and ironically, it anchored me. It helped that Meph decided he’d stayed idle long enough. Much to my surprise, he grabbed Lucifer’s hair and shoved his cock into his leader’s mouth.

Lucifer took this in stride. He kept thrusting inside me even as he started bobbing his head up and down Meph’s crimson cock. This couldn’t have been easy, but he must’ve had experience with it, because he made it look effortless.

Callum and Stefan decided to stay out of our little orgy. Maybe they didn’t want to overwhelm me, because instead of trying to touch any part of me, they chose to unleash most of their pent up sexual desire one another. Callum dropped down onto the ground on all fours and Stefan took position behind him, thrusting inside him without bothering with too much preparation. Callum didn’t flinch, but then again, he was an incubus. He’d probably done far crazier things.

Even as the two of them fucked, they never tore their gazes away from me. I found that special too. I’d always been frustrated with the fact that they never seemed to get along. Seeing them together reassured the part of me that still regretted endangering their relationship.

Maybe that was the whole point and I hadn’t endangered anything at all. Maybe we’d just found something special and new together. Meph had often spoken about demonic love, about what it meant and how dangerous it could be, but I’d never realized at the time that it was also a gift.

In the end, it was Callum that made me come. Stefan suddenly started thrusting inside Callum a little harder and I recognized the pace and strength as something he often did when he was close to climax. My guess was confirmed seconds later when he buried his claws in Callum’s hips and, with an inarticulate growl, fell over the edge.

The surge in his pleasure swept over Callum, feeding his incubus powers. Callum’s aura flared, engulfing us like a waterfall of sexual ecstasy.

Just like that, I tumbled into orgasm, unable to hold back any longer. My body vibrated from head to toe with the strength of my climax. My pussy clenched around Lucifer’s cock and my ass squeezed Mikael’s dick so tightly he hissed.

They thrust inside me one last time, and then they were coming, pumping me full of hot seed. That unique sensation of divine magic returned, but this time, it no longer felt or weird. It was a part of me, just like they all were.

As Lucifer and Mikael slid out of my body, we all ended up curled together on the moss in a large pile. I was in the middle, on top of Stefan, with Mikael behind me, playing with my hair.

A comfortable silence fell as we processed what had just happened between us. It hadn’t been only sex and we all knew it. Before today, Lucifer had been only a peripheral part of our relationship, but now, he had joined us. And yet, there was no unease or awkwardness, because we had all known this was coming. I just hadn’t been ready to accept it, but now that I was, there was no turning back.

Bracing myself, I made the decision I’d been too afraid to acknowledge until now. “Guys? I’m going to keep the baby.”

On my far left, Lucifer nodded. He didn’t seem very surprised, and I suspected he must’ve known I’d do this. “Whatever you want, Lyssa,” he said. “We’ll make sure she’s happy and protected.”

I shot him a brief smile, knowing that he’d keep his word. “I know you will.” My relief and conviction faltered as I thought about something else I needed to do, another reality I’d avoided thinking about. “And I’m going to need to talk to my parents. I have a feeling they won’t be very happy about this.”

“They won’t be,” Callum replied, “but they love you, Lyssa. Sometimes, that’s the only thing that matters.”

It was a romantic notion and not something I’d have thought an incubus would say. But not all love was about romance so maybe he had a point. My parents did love me so I had to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Even so, I didn’t say anything else. I’d known ever since they’d left the year before that my future would be in the world of demons. I’d made my choice with an open heart and I had no regrets. It would be up to my parents to decide if they accepted it. And if they couldn’t, so be it.

  Epilogue

In the silence of the graveyard, the white cross looked bleak, brutal, and cruel. A man and a woman clad in black stood in front of the marker, staring at it in grief and anger. The woman clutched a bouquet of white flowers to her chest. She didn’t remember what type they were. At the florist, she’d just asked for something appropriate for an angel who’d left this world too soon.

The compassionate woman behind the counter had quickly put together a beautiful bouquet and whispered her condolences.

The woman knelt in front of the tomb and placed the flowers against the cross. The gesture seemed so empty right now. The flowers would wither away and die, just like so many things.

The letters on the cross echoed her loss, fears, and anguish.

“Alyssa Michaelis. Beloved daughter, gone too soon, never forgotten.”

Simply looking at them made her want to scream at the unfairness. Lyssa had been a fighter. She’d had such a bright future ahead of her. And now, because of their inability to protect her, she’d been dragged down into Hell.

“This shouldn’t have happened, Charles,” she said. “We should’ve done more for her.”

“There was nothing we could’ve done, Frances,” her husband replied. “Lyssa made her own choices. This is the result and we have to respect that.”

The woman wiped her eyes and nodded. Her heart hurt for her lost daughter, but she couldn’t change things, no matter how much she’d have liked to.

“She’s not dead, you know. There’s no reason for you to mourn her like this.”

The woman yelped and looked around in shock, searching for the source of the words. Much to her surprise, a teal kitten appeared from behind the cross. “Your daughter is very much alive,” he continued, “but you already knew that. You don’t have to believe the lies you told the rest of the world.

“I know,” the woman answered, “but even so, we can’t help but feel we lost her. There’s no turning back, not from this.”

The feline jumped on top of the cross and the white marble glowed when his paws made contact with the stone.

“If you like, I can take you to see her. It’s not something you can do often, but it might benefit you all.”

It was stupid in the extreme to blindly agree to a suggestion coming from a talking cat. The woman knew they should at least ask who he was. She didn’t and neither did her husband. “We want to see Alyssa, yes. Take us to her.”

The cat seemed to smirk and his eyes started to glow an ominous red. “Gladly.”

  * * *

“No, no. I told you the crib had to be crimson, not pink.”

“Also, what could’ve possibly possessed you to bring silver down here? Where did you get this piece of shit? How many times do I have to say it? Gold only!”

I leaned against the doorway and watched my lovers scream at a terrified demon. As my due date was approaching, they were all running around to make all the arrangements necessary.

The nursery had become their preferred target. This was the fifth time it had been redecorated and they never seemed to be able to decide on a theme for longer than a week.

Today, they’d decided to remake the crib so that it would have dancing hell hounds above it. Shiro had taken to the idea so well he’d offered to model for the damn thing.

It was insane. Everyone had gone insane. I would’ve liked to think that they’d calm down after our baby was born, but I knew better.

“You could just tell them to not stress over it too much,” Grim commented. “Your daughter will be sure to love whatever you come up with.”

I didn’t even blink when he popped up out of the shadows. By now, I’d become used to his appearances. “Yes, I could tell them that, but why should I? They seem to enjoy it. Besides, if they don’t take out their stress on the furniture, they might do something far more regrettable.”
