My sister reminded me that it was the same number as before. I’m not sure if I would have made the connection on my own. She’s good with dates and numbers, whereas I tend to forget them. But now I would never forget 105. It was beginning to take on a mystifying meaning.
The next time that fated room number appeared, Lanie had come to California to see me. She brought a guest with her, and the three of us visited some local wineries and checked into a motel. They requested a suite because they wanted more space. When my turn came, the clerk, who barely spoke English, insisted that I take a suite, too, because it was the closest room to my sister’s. I tried to explain that I just wanted a regular room, but my explanation fell on deaf ears. Exhausted from battling the language barrier (and wondering if I’d just gotten scammed), I accepted the suite and got stuck with the extra cost. Then I looked at my key and saw 105.
While in the midst of plotting this series, I researched the number itself and discovered that in numerology it’s considered to be the equivalent of the number six because you’re supposed to add the digits together.
Six is ruled by Venus and represents harmony, sincerity, love, and truth. It also lights a path in areas that require spiritual and mental balance.
Six is known as the “motherhood” number, with an influence on sacrificing, healing, and protecting. Men associated with this number rescue damsels in distress.
Hence, the Room 105 series was born, with a hero (a warrior) designed to rescue a damsel in distress. The warrior is personal to me, too. He was generated by a real person: a man with a mysterious background who came into my life when I needed him.
This series didn’t happen randomly. All the pieces seemed to come together as if they were meant to be. It starts with the prequel, BEAUTIFUL MUSICIAN, which features Abby and Seven, then advances with this story, BEAUTIFUL CONFUSION, where you just met Vanessa and Duncan. After that, their tale continues in BEAUTIFUL WARRIOR. And finally, BEAUTIFUL JOURNEY will complete the series.
