Unwanted Desire

by Skye Turner

As I’m straightening my shoes in the closet, I hear the sound of a large vehicle in the driveway.

Heading through the house, I open the door just as she’s about to knock. She turns and smiles at me. Wrapping my arms around her waist, I take in her appearance. Her face is bare of makeup and her long blonde hair is in a ponytail. She’s wearing workout shorts and a tank top. Even dressed down, she takes my breath away.

Leaning down, I kiss her. As I pull back, I say, “Welcome home, princess.”

She smiles the smile that makes me melt then slaps her hands on her hips and says, “Now… get to work. Those boxes aren’t going to unload themselves, you know.”

With a grin, I swat her ass. She hollers as she tries to look stern. “Hey, buddy, hands off the merchandise! You think just because I’m moving in you can manhandle me?”

With a wolfish grin, I swoop in and spin her. Backing her against the door, I kiss her breathless. When she’s mewling into my mouth, I release her and turn with a wink. “No, I think I can manhandle you because you’re mine… and I love you… and you love it.”

She groans. “Ty Boudreaux! My daddy is out here!”

I look at her and smile as I head to the truck… where her parents are averting their eyes as they try to hide their smiles. I call back over my shoulder, “And… you’re moving in with me, princess… I’m pretty sure your parents know we’re going to share a bedroom.”

Her cheeks turn bright red and she sputters, “Oh my God…”

I laugh as I climb into the truck and start unloading boxes. Senator Bellaforte joins me and we work in tune for a time. Neither of us talks, but the quiet is comfortable.

It’s hot as hell as it’s the middle of July in Louisiana and we’re in the back of an enclosed truck. I stop unloading boxes to wipe the sweat from my brow. Senator Bellaforte does the same. I mutter, “Senator, do you mind if I take my shirt off? Would that offend you?”

He looks at me in surprise and chuckles. “No, son. Not at all. And can you please stop calling me Senator?! How about you call me Richmond… or Rich… I really don’t care what you call me, but you don’t have to call me Senator. You’re family.”

I cough to clear my throat from the emotions that flood through me. With a nod, I pull my shirt off and use it to wipe my face and neck. “Yes, Sir.”

He laughs. “You’re a good man.”

I blink and shrug. “Thank you, Sir. I only know how to be me.”

He nods and bumps my shoulder. “Yeah, well… stay that way.” He whistles as he looks at my chest. “Jesus, son. No wonder my daughter salivates when she looks at you.”

My face turns the same shade as my hair as I cough again.

He laughs good-naturedly. “Sorry, I wasn’t trying to embarrass you.”

I grin sheepishly. “It’s ok. Um, I work out a lot.”

He chuckles and pats his still trim waist. “I still enjoy working out a bit, too. Maybe you can put me through the ringer one day… or we can play a few holes. Do you play golf?”

With a grin, I answer him, “I do. I love golf, Sir.”

He nods at the house where AnnaBeth and Mrs. Bellaforte are walking toward us with a tray of what looks like lemonade. “Looks like our ladies have taken pity on us for slaving away out here while they enjoy the comfort of the air conditioning.”

Mrs. Bellaforte laughs as she climbs up into the truck. “I heard that. Why don’t you fellows take a break?”

I look at the tray of lemonade that she sets down. It looks good, but I could really use a beer.

With a grin, AnnaBeth hops up into the truck and produces an Abita from behind her back.

Smiling at her, I take it as she hands it to me. “You’re speaking my language, princess.”

Her father looks at her and says sheepishly, “How about you grab me one of those, too?”

  AnnaBeth

My parents have just left and I look around at the boxes scattered all over Ty’s living room…

No, I mean OUR living room. This is my home now.

  I live with Ty.

Ty and I are shacking up.

I never thought I’d want to live with a man that I wasn’t married to, but then again, I also never would have imagined I’d be with Ty.

He’s everything I want and everything I need.

  This step just felt right.

  It feels natural.

I love Ty and Ty loves me.

  This is our home…

I sigh and snuggle further into his chest. We’re sitting on the couch amid all the boxes. He turns his head to me and smiles down at me after pressing a kiss to the side of my head.

Reaching up, I twine my fingers with his. He squeezes.

He looks around at the piles of boxes and chuckles… “I hope all of this shit fits!”

I was just thinking the same thing. I tried not to double what he already had here, but then again, I wanted some of my things. I want this house to be a perfect blend of us both.

I’ll never tell him, but the reason I agreed to move in with him in his house is because the potential for the future is so grand here.

Today we’re living together, but someday I’d like to be Mrs. Ty Boudreaux and this is the perfect house and neighborhood to fill with babies.

Another bonus is that my sister lives right around the corner. She’s recently moved in with Cruz and his very nice house is just a few blocks over. Tif and I have gotten closer since I’ve been with Ty. Whereas before I sort of resented her for living for herself… now that I’m doing it too… I understand. My sister is a pretty amazing woman.

Ty looks down at me. “Whatcha thinking, princess?”

Turning in his arms, I smile sexily. His brows rise as he reads my expression. “Oh no, before we get naked, I need to shower. I worked my ass off today.”

I wrinkle my nose in fake disgust. “You do kind of stink.”

Before I can blink, I’m on my back and he’s lying over me. His manly scent envelopes me as I’m trapped underneath him. He pushes his groin into me and I feel his erection. “Now, just because you’re mean… I’m not going to make you scream tonight.”

My thighs part to cradle him more fully against me. His breath hitches and I grin. I lightly slide against him and feel him swell even more.

Leaning up, I nip his ear and swirl my tongue around the shell. He shudders and I can see the strain in his arms as he holds himself up. Reaching between us, I cup his length through his shorts. He groans and I whisper, “How about tonight, I make you scream?”

His head falls back as I stroke him through the material of his shorts. His breath hisses out from between his teeth. “You don’t play fair, princess.”

Leaning up, I suckle on his neck. I taste the sweat there, as his eyes fly open and I leave my mark. “Now… I just branded you. You’re mine.”

He sighs as he turns his head. “I’ve been yours forever, princess.”

As he stares into my eyes, I lean up and capture his mouth. We kiss as I stroke him to fever pitch.

Finally he jerks back. “I’m not fucking you on the couch the first night you move in, princess. I need a shower and I want to take my time with you… in our bed…”

Squirming out from underneath him, I stand and reach for the hem of my shirt. Pulling it over my head, I drop it and head down the hall. As I reach the door to the bathroom, my shorts trail down my legs. With a sultry smile, I look over my shoulder.

Ty is sitting up on the couch with his erection tenting his shorts as he watches me with hooded eyes. Crooking my finger at him, I disappear through the door. My panties are tossed into the hall. I call out, “Hurry up, lover. You can take your time later… Right now… I want you to take me in the shower…”

Seconds later, he’s in the bathroom with me.

As he steps into the shower with me, he boxes me in with my back against the wall. Lifting me, he wraps my legs around his waist and slides home.

  With a grunt, he
starts to move as the water rains down over us both.

When the water runs cold, and all of the day’s grime is gone from our bodies, he carries me into our bedroom and worships my body all night long.

Sometime later that night, I’m lying across his chest as we both try to catch our breath from another round of cosmic lovemaking.

His hand is playing with my hair as I trace hearts on his chest. He whispers, “I love you, princess.”

I smile and press a kiss onto his chest. “I love you, too, my prince. Who would have thought you would be my happily ever after?!”

  Epilogue

  Three years later

“Baby, it’s time to go! Ty, wake up… It’s time.” AnnaBeth’s excited voice infiltrates my sleep-fogged brain.

Immediately jolting awake, I sit up and clumsily flip on the bedside lamp. She’s smiling at me from beside me in our bed. “Are you ok, princess?”

Looking down at her protruding stomach, she grins. It ends on a groan. “Ohhhhhhh. It’s time. We need to go.”

Jumping up, I help her up from the bed and notice the huge wet spot. She shrugs sheepishly. “My water broke.”

I quickly grab a shirt and toss it on while she calls the hospital. When she hangs up, I help her change into fresh clothes and we hurry out to my truck.

On the way to the hospital, I call her parents using my Bluetooth.

AnnaBeth’s moans are getting louder as her contractions get closer together.

Her father answers with a sleepy, “Hello? Ty, what’s wrong? Is AnnaBeth ok?”

Reaching over, I take her hand as another contraction hits her. Her mother’s voice comes over the stereo. “Oh, is she in labor? How far apart are her contractions?”

“About four minutes. We’re en-route to the hospital now. She’s doing great.”

The sounds of shuffling are heard through the speakers and then, “We’ll call you when we get there. Drive safe.”

With a murmured goodbye, I disconnect the call and look over at my radiant wife. She’s in pain, I can tell, but she’s smiling. She pats her stomach between contractions. “I can’t believe it, Ty. We’re about to be parents. It seems like we’ve been waiting forever!”

I’m about to be a daddy.

Three years ago, the pauper fell in love with the princess and by some miracle, she loved him back.

Things haven’t been easy as we adjusted to merging two completely different lives, then moving in together, then getting married, and now, a new chapter…

  Parents.

AnnaBeth grunts and starts her breathing exercises as I pull into the covered bay at the hospital. As I stop the truck, a wheelchair is brought out. They were waiting for us. I load my wife, the love of my life into it, and race to go park the truck. As I fly back through the doors, I see her across the room. She’s smiling as she waits for me.

Looking at the nurse, I ask, “Why is she still down here?”

She shrugs and chuckles. “She insisted we wait for you.”

Leaning down, I kiss AnnaBeth’s head and take over from the nurse. She utters a protest and a voice over my shoulder stops her. “He’s a paramedic and that’s his wife about to have his baby. I wouldn’t even try.”

Turning my head as we head to the elevators, I see Tifanie. She smiles at me. “Momma called me. Cruz is parking.

“They’ll be here in about twenty minutes. I’m certain Daddy has a police escort. He can’t miss the birth of his grandbaby!”

One hour and twenty three minutes later, Anna Belle Boudreaux is born. As they hand me my tiny, beautiful pink bundle, I gaze at her with the most profound love. Her tiny rosebud lips pucker and she lets out a wail.

With a chuckle, I walk over to my wife, my love, my princess, and lay our baby on her chest.

AnnaBeth is exhausted, but she pulls the blanket back from the baby’s head and presses a kiss to the bright red hair of our daughter. She looks at me as her crystal blue eyes fill with tears and whispers, “Oh, Ty. Look what we created. She’s perfect… Look at our little princess.”

As I look at my life… my family, I whisper back, “You have the keys to my heart… My castle… My princesses…”

  Prologue

It’s so easy to think you’re invincible when you’re a kid. No one tells you any different, so you’re led to believe that you’re untouchable. When you play with your GI Joes, Snake Eyes always takes down the bad guys; and good always prevails over evil. Your parents just smile and watch you play and protect your innocence. Then you grow up and you learn that good doesn’t always win. In the end we all die, there is no escaping the fact that we won’t live forever. When your time is up, it’s up. There’s no cheating death.

I always knew growing up I was destined to make something great of myself. I was going to have purpose in this ugly world and bring some beauty into it. I just didn’t know how I was going to do it. It’s hard to find yourself when your mother’s a drug addict and your dad walked out on you at the age of four. Not really the best role models for a kid.
