Chapter Ten — Ryder
Jade’s party had been a disaster, with Harrison not giving a fucking inch. When we’d gotten home from our night out, our lovemaking was desperate and all consuming. We hardly made it inside the front door when I frantically ripped Jade’s clothes off her body and fucked her against the wall, both wanting to consume her and console her. She didn’t know I'd felt her quiet sobs on our ride home. She didn’t have to say a word—I knew exactly what was eating at her. She’d clung to me on the back of my bike as if her life depended on it, her body trembling, pressing her cheek to my back as I cursed the heavens for the obstacles in our way.
My girl had been looking forward to her birthday since just after I'd met her. I wanted to make it up to her, do something to wipe the worry from her face and put the wide smile back in place.
I'd never done anything remotely romantic for a woman. I mean, other than to fuck them fast and hard, I had no use for them. But fuck, for Jade, I’d move the moon and the stars to make her happy.
Rebecca. If anyone knew what Jade liked, it would be her cousin. She was still visiting L.A, and since Max had asked me to keep an eye out for her I’d gotten to know her a little. It was mind-blowing how similar she and Jade were in many ways, although they’d grown up in different countries and only saw one another every few years.
Since the night at the club when I’d followed the girls and called Razor and Ratbag for backup, Ratbag had volunteered to look out for Rebecca when I was busy. Being a fellow Australian, he felt it was his duty. But I had suspicions that Ratbag was more than a little in love with Rebecca. Poor fucker—he didn’t stand a chance of winning her if my brother, Max, was going to make her his lady. Not a chance in hell. But I didn’t have the heart to tell him that, so instead I let him follow Rebecca like a lost puppy.
I found her number on my phone and dialed. She answered within three rings. “Rebecca, hey, can you talk for a minute?” I asked, feeling a bit foolish about calling her for girlfriend advice.
“Hey, Ryder.” Her voice was sleepy. Granted, it was only six thirty in the morning.
“Um, sorry for calling so early. I couldn’t sleep, so I’ve been up forever and forgot that other people were sleeping.”
She yawned before she spoke. “It must be pretty important if you couldn’t sleep.” The concern in her voice was palpable. “Is Jade okay?” I chuckled. “Yeah, she’s fast asleep in my bed. I need . . . advice.” I paused for a breath. “Your cousin Harrison is one mean son-of-a-bitch. Jade was so disappointed by the way he behaved at her party.”
“Yes, I was surprised by his behavior. I never knew he could get so damn aggressive. If he were my brother, I’d hate him treating me like a kid. He needs to realize she’s a woman with her own life.”
“Yeah. I think he wants me dead, actually. Six-feet under, and far from his little sister.” I chuckled wryly.
“Look, Ryder, I’ll be honest. It’ll take a miracle to change Harrison’s opinion about bikers. As long as you are part of the Scorpio Stinger MC he’s never going to approve of you dating his sister.”
I coughed. Even though I knew all this, it was hard as fuck to hear. What about the long-term plans I wanted to make for Jade and I?
Her voice became soft. “I can understand his hurt. But I also know he’s wrong about you. You’re . . . an acquired taste, for sure, but you have a heart of gold. And you love Jade. That much is clear.”
“Don’t go thinking I’m all soft, Rebecca,” I growled. “I’m not. I’ll kill a man in the wink of an eye if I need to.”
She swallowed, hard. “Don’t say shit like that, Ryder. I may just side with Harrison.”
I laughed, hard and bitter. “You’re just as naïve as Jade. You don’t think Harrison or Maxwell would do the same? If they needed to?”
“I don’t know. I don’t want to think of stuff like that before breakfast.” She sighed. “What was so pressing that you had to call me so early? It wasn’t to shoot the breeze about Harrison.”
“Correct. I want to make it up to Jade. Any ideas?”
She laughed. “Now that kind of stuff I can deal with. What did you have in mind?”
“What the hell do you think I know about what makes a woman happy other than fucking her? Fuck, if I knew what to do I wouldn’t be calling you.”
“Are you always so brutally honest?”
“Yeah. I am. No point in beating around the bush. I say what I mean. End of story. That way everyone is clear.”
Rebecca laughed. “You’re just as upfront as Maxwell. I find it . . . intriguing.”
“Well, any ideas? You know what bitches like.”
“Ryder, stop calling women bitches. It can be very offensive. Has Jade not told you that?”
“Jesus. Now you’re lecturing me? You haven’t answered my damn question either.”
“Well, why don’t you take her away for a while? Just the two of you. Get out of L.A.”
I thought about it for a few seconds. “Yeah, that sounds like a great plan. There’s so much crap going on at the moment. At the club . . . the L.A. Demons . . . with Harrison.” I sighed, raking my fingers through my hair as a plan came to me.
She yawned. “I’m leaving soon. Got summoned to New York. Your asshole brother cut my vacation short.”
I chuckled. She wasn’t aware that Max had asked me to keep an eye on her while she was here. I wonder if she’ll freak out if she knows? Ratbag loved this assignment; he’d be gutted when she left.
“Actually, Max has been nagging me to come to New York to help him with his security system. That’s it; a legit reason to get out of L.A. and spend quality time with my woman. You’re a genius, Rebecca.”
She laughed. “I know. That’s why I get paid the money I do.” She wasn’t conceited, just confident in her abilities. It was sexy as fuck. I could totally understand why Max had fallen for her, even if he denied it.
I took a sip of my coffee. “To New York. I’ll make the arrangements. But don’t tell Jade—I want it to be a surprise, okay? And thanks.”
“Make my cousin happy, Ryder. Be good to her. That’s all I ask.” She yawned again. “Now go away. I need more beauty sleep.”
I chuckled. It was the perfect plan.
Chapter Eleven— Ryder
Another sleepless night. Surviving on coffee and nicotine wasn’t doing me any favors. Leaning against the headboard, I played with the Zippo lighter between my fingers in the dark, my heart squeezed in my fucking chest, making it hard to breathe. I didn’t want to have to choose. Cobra had been like a brother to me, and every goddamn biker at the Scorpio Stinger MC meant something to me. I couldn’t imagine life without them in it.
But even worse: I couldn’t imagine my life without Princess. She brought sense to my life; she gave me a reason to want to get up every day and just live.
On top of it all were the club issues to worry about.
This was fucked. Totally fucked.
I was taking Jade away. We’d escape all this bullshit and just be us—together.
There was no better place to escape to than New York. Max had pestered me to come and help him with security issues he was having at his company. Some fuckers were hacking into his business systems and causing havoc.
Max had already asked Hammer to go to New York to help on the technical side of things. Hammer was the most clued up person when it came to computers and software. But I had the brain to think like a criminal. Yeah, it was ironic that something like that was a good characteristic. I chuckled softly into Jade’s hair. It was time I used my notoriously genius criminal mind to do some good. I was known as the Houdini of the biker world. Nothing could keep me in or out if I didn’t want it to.
Jade stirred in my arms. “Baby,” she whispered, her fingers stroking over my cheek and jaw. Her touch was light, yet filled with so much love that my heart wanted to burst. Her finger traced along my lips, and I couldn’t suppress a smile as I hugged her to me.
She hooked
her leg over mine, pulling herself closer, and her bare pussy rubbed my thigh. I'd never get enough of Jade; no matter how many times I'd had her, I always wanted more.
“Babe.” My breath was labored, my heart beating wildly. Her hand slid down my chest, following the trail down south till she reached my cock.
“So needy,” she teased when her palm closed around my already semi-erect shaft, but I could hear the excitement in her voice. She needed me as much as I needed her. She massaged the drop of pre-cum into the tip with her thumb, eliciting a heavy groan from me. Yeah, she hadn’t lost her touch on which of my buttons to press. She could get to me in a few seconds flat.
“Ride me,” I commanded, eager to slip into her wet pussy.
“Yes, baby,” she said, a smile in her voice, as she slid her leg over my hips and rested her weight on top of me. She reached between us and placed my cock at her entrance before sliding down to envelop me like a glove. She was tight and warm and wet. My cock grew in length and girth inside her.
“Mmm,” she hummed. “So good, baby.” She raised herself so that her arms were straight and peered into my eyes, unblinking. “I love you, Ryder,” she whispered. Her beautiful breasts hung inches above my face and I licked and sucked her nipples as she pushed her tits toward me, giving all of herself.
Our hands clasped together as she raised herself off my cock and then slid down again. I watched her tits sway as she pressed down, bending her knees to take me as deeply as possible.
“You fucking amaze me,” I said, my chest swelling with love and adoration. How was it possible to feel so much love for one tiny person?
She rode my cock, her eyes trained on mine, biting into her lower lip as she took me to the hilt. A fine sheen of sweat covered her skin and I was desperate to taste her.
“Turn around, babe. I need to lick your pussy, taste your juice,” I ordered, my voice so low and hoarse I wasn’t sure she’d hear me.
Her eyes widened as she processed my command. I watched her let my cock slip out of her, licking her lips. She searched my face for confirmation that this was what I wanted. I lifted my chin, encouraging her to come sit on my face.
A slow blush raised over her chest, tingeing her flesh with soft pink from just above her spectacular tits, all the way up her neck and cheeks. She smiled at me coyly. My Princess had never done a sixty-nine. I wasn’t sure why, but it pleased me that I was her first.
Jade turned around and adjusted her body so she was facing away from me. Her thighs were trembling, yet she lowered herself so her pussy was just inches above my face. Lying on my back, waiting, it was the most beautiful sight I’d ever seen.
Impatient to finally taste her, I pulled her hips down to my face and speared her pussy with my tongue. She cried out, surprise and pleasure gripping her as she sank down lower to give my mouth full access to her core. There was something sinfully sexy about her opening herself to me, letting my tongue take long, languid strokes over her wet, quivering flesh.
“Oh God,” she cried out as I sucked her clit. “I'm going to come.”
“No. Not yet. Suck me!” I commanded gruffly, her impending orgasm making my cock throb.
She leaned down and gripped my cock with one hand and cupped my balls with the other. Then she swallowed my cock so deep, I nearly came on the first pull. Jesus, she sucked and swirled and licked my cock like I was a fucking lollipop. Having me lick her pussy while she sucked my cock was turning Princess on something crazy. My face was covered in her juices; the faster I was lapping at her, the faster she was stroking my cock.
“Christ. Gonna come, babe,” I hissed as she deep-throated me again. I felt warmth shoot up my cock and spill into her mouth. She swallowed, moaning appreciatively as I gave her more, ejaculating until I had nothing left.
Jade rocked backward so I could cup her breasts with my hands. I pinched both nipples as I fucked her pussy with my tongue.
“Oh . . . oh . . . God,” she cried as her orgasm shook her writhing body.
Yeah. Princess was perfect for me.
In every way.
Chapter Twelve — Jade
“What do you mean we’re going away for a few weeks? I can’t, Ryder. I'm a working girl, remember?” I’d just come down from the high of an amazing orgasm of my first ever sixty-nine, and now Ryder was holding me in his arms, kissing my neck, and telling me to pack my bags for a trip to New York. “Things are heating up, babe. We need to skip town for a while.”
I looked up at him, scrutinizing his face for signs that he was joking. “For how long? I don’t have much leave due to me. I only started working at Daddy’s firm a few months ago—”
Even though I’d officially moved out of home a while back, most of my stuff was still at my parents’ house. I'd only taken the bare necessities and a few favorite items. Yet guilt ate at me for lying to my family that I was sharing an apartment with a girlfriend from college. The few times they had asked when I was inviting them to dinner, I’d managed to use delay tactics and skirt the issue. Now he wanted me to take time off work as well. Double guilt.
“Babe, just do as I say. I don’t know for how long. Trust me, yeah?”
“Ryder, that’s not how things work in my world. There are . . . rules. Systems. Ways things are done.”
“Screw the rules. It's getting dangerous to be in L.A. I gotta disappear till things cool down, and I'm taking you with me.”
“But —”
His hand came down on my ass. “No arguments, babe.”
“What the fuck? Did you just spank my ass as if I were a naughty kid?” I huffed.
Ryder grabbed both wrists and pinned me to the mattress. He stared into my eyes for a long moment. “We need to go, for both our safety. Max is expecting us.”
He wasn’t kidding. His face was stern, a vein ticking in his neck as he gritted his teeth. “And yes, I like when you are naughty for me. It's sexy as fuck. But arguing with me? No. Not happening.”
“Ryder. You have to understand—” I tried again. Damn, I couldn’t just up and leave because he had a whim. I had a career I was building, and because I was my father’s daughter, I had to work even harder to prove myself.
“There is nothing on this earth more important than your safety, Jade. I mean it. Stop questioning my decisions. We are flying out at nine a.m. Be ready.”
I flipped. “Are you fucking crazy? What part of I can’t did you not understand? I have a case—”
Whack. My ass stung. He’d spanked me again, harder this time.
Ryder’s eyes were blazing, his lips curled into a snarl. “Princess, you’re a smart girl. How long is it going to take you to learn? No fucking arguments.”
I pushed away from the mattress. “Fuck you, Ryder. This isn’t fun anymore.” I shoved at his chest.
Seething, he pushed me back against the bed, gripping both my wrists above my head. His eyes flared. “Bitch, don’t ever speak to me like that again.” His voice was hard. Clipped. He hadn’t called me bitch in a while. “I'll gladly pull you over my knee and spank the living shit outta you for being a disobedient girl. Don’t. Test. Me."
I closed my eyes, unable to move. I was completely at his mercy. Angry Ryder wasn’t a man to mess with. His muscles flexed and I felt his rage roll off him in waves.
A few moments passed before he spoke again. “Look at me.” His voice still had an edge to it, but was somehow softer. “Jade, open your eyes.”
My eyes fluttered open. Afraid to witness his anger, I peered at him though my lashes. I gasped for air, not because of his rage, but because all I could see in his expression was love. Looking into my eyes, he stroked my cheek.
“I fucking love you, woman. When are you going to realize I’d give my last fucking breath for you?”
I couldn’t speak. I blinked fast, trying to keep the tears in check. What he said was true. He was trying to protect me.
After a long pause, Ryder spoke softly. “Anyway, Rebecca is going to be in New York too. We can catch up wi
th Max—I want to introduce you to my brother.” He sighed. “Babe, if you want to be a part of my life, you have to realize that I know what’s best for us, okay? You have to trust my decisions. You are my woman, and I have to make sure that you are safe at all times. So let me do that, okay? Take care of you in every possible way?”
I nodded. “I trust you Ryder.”
“Good girl. New York is going to be a blast. We’ll have the days to ourselves—to do whatever we want.” He wiggled his eyebrows.
“Okay. But I hate flying. I always get sick. So that part won’t be fun,” I warned. If he wanted to whisk me away, he had to know what was waiting.
Ryder lifted a brow and smirked. “If you think that’s going to put me off taking you with me, you’re wrong.”
“Well . . . I must admit, meeting Maxwell will make it worthwhile. I’ve heard so much about him from both you and Rebecca that I’m dying to meet the man.”
“You’ll like Max. He’s a good man.”
“Ha-ha. If he’s anything like you, he’s an enigma. I can’t wait to meet him.”
“Of course he’s not as good looking as what I am. Nor as smart,” Ryder joked, but I could see the pride in his eyes whenever he spoke of Max.
Chapter Thirteen — Jade
Because Rebecca was going to New York, it had been a lot easier to convince my father that I needed a break. He was reluctant to give me time off work at first, but then he relented—probably thinking that because I was going with Rebecca, that I’d be leaving Ryder behind.
This was the second time this week that I’d come to my parents’ house for a meal. I only hoped it would go better than the last one where Harrison had informed them all about Ryder. We’d had an unpleasant family lunch the day after my birthday, with my brother ranting about Ryder and how I was throwing my life away. My parents added their disapproval, urging me to be sensible.
“What happened to my smart girl? The one who was going to be the best lawyer in the state?” Daddy had said before he took a huge sip of red wine from his glass. He’d been holding so tightly onto the stem, I was waiting for it to snap at any moment.
