Unchain My Heart Page 6

My mother had pinched the bridge of her nose and then peered at me over her glasses. “You’ve worked so hard, Jade: don’t give it all up now. You’re so close, honey, just keep going a little longer. No man is worth throwing your future away for. I thought I taught you that?”

Even though they’d had my best interests at heart, they were going about it completely wrong. My stubborn streak set in, making me more determined than ever to make up my own mind about dating Ryder.

Now, we were sitting around the same table, but tonight Rebecca and Lexi had joined us for dinner since it was Becca’s last night in L.A. The atmosphere was a lot lighter, but I couldn’t get myself to drink the wine Daddy had poured into each of our glasses. Lexi eyed my full glass and I nodded, so she quickly swapped our glasses, smiling at her good fortune.

My stomach churned as I pushed the food around my plate. I’d completely lost my appetite, even though my mother had cooked my favorite dishes. Nausea rose up in my throat and I had to excuse myself to use the bathroom.

When I returned, everyone was laughing and joking, all having had at least a second glass of wine. Except Harrison—his hostility remained, and he was moody and unsocial. He sat at the end of the table, his arms folded over his chest, hardly participating in the conversation. All my life he’d been my hero. I'd listened to everything he’d told me like the adoring little sister I was. So why didn’t he want me to be happy now?

As soon as I took my place at the table again, I drank a glass of water with two painkillers. My head was pounding and I’d started to shiver, too. Since my birthday fiasco, just being in the same room as Harrison made me feel ill.

“Honey, stay here tonight. I’ll drop you and Rebecca at the airport tomorrow.” Mom placed her hand over mine and squeezed.

Feeling as awful as I did, I nodded. I really wasn’t in any condition to drive. I’d thrown up my entire meal and felt weak. Anyway, they’d insist on driving me to my so-called apartment if I refused to stay, so it was just easier to give in tonight. As for Lexi, the way she was going with the wine, she’d probably end up staying the night as well.

“I’ll bring you a nice hot cup of tea. Luckily you already packed for your trip before coming over for dinner, so you can just crawl into bed.”

Smiling weakly, I excused myself from the table and went to my old bedroom. Everything was just as I’d left it. I ran a hot bath before calling Ryder. He was going to be pissed off, but I'd have to make him understand that it was better this way.

“Baby, I'm sorry, but I'm feeling awful. I'm going to crawl into bed after a hot bath. I’ll meet you at the airport tomorrow. Luckily we’re both all packed—”

Ryder groaned. “Babe, I can hardly sleep even when you’re here. Tonight I’ll be rolling about the king-sized bed, missing you.”

“So you’re gonna miss me, huh?” I smiled a genuine smile for the first time tonight.

Chuckling, he confirmed my suspicions. “You know I'm addicted to you—I need to taste your pussy every night and every morning. This is going to be torture.”

”It's a gift, baby. The gift of missing me so that you can appreciate me more when I’m there.” I had to appease him, otherwise he might just decide to break and enter again tonight to get his taste of me. It was too risky, and besides, I was feeling off; I wasn’t in any mood for sex.

“Does that mean I can have extras when we get to New York? Maybe we can go to the bathroom together and I can lick your little pussy after you’ve sucked me off. Yeah. I like the sound of that.”

“Jesus, Ryder. It's only one night that I'm away—”

He carried on as if I hadn’t spoken. “Then I’m going to lift you up and fuck you against the wall. And I want you to moan so loud that everyone outside can hear.”

“Horny now, baby?” I asked, already knowing the answer.

“Yeah. Always, Princess. Always horny for you. And I bet you’re wet for me right now, aren’t you? Reach down and feel, Jade, then tell me on a scale of one to ten how wet you are.”

“Ryder, don’t be silly.” I laughed, yet my nausea had gone and I felt my pussy clench. Ryder had a way with words that never failed to get me hot and horny.

He growled. “Do it, babe. Feel your slick pussy and tell me . . .”

I lay back on the bed and slipped my hand under my pants. I gasped as I touched my clit. Ryder chuckled. “You’re so fucking wet, aren’t you?”

“Jesus, Ryder, how do you do that?” I breathed. My panties were soaked, my pussy slick and throbbing.

“You do it to me too, babe. Right now I'm as hard as can be. A ten on the diamond scale of hardness.”

Heels clicking on the wooden floors alerted me that someone was approaching. “Jade, honey—” I withdrew my hand as soon as I heard my mother’s voice.

“Ryder, my mother is coming down the hallway. I’ll call you after I've had a bath, okay?”

He didn’t sound happy. “Fuck. You’re leaving me with a raging fucking hard-on, babe.”

Without apology, I turned my phone off and sat up as Mom entered my room. I didn’t know what to do with my wet finger, so I stuck it in my mouth. My mother raised an eyebrow, but didn’t say anything. I kept sucking my finger, afraid she’d be able to smell my juices otherwise. Awkward didn’t even begin to describe it.

She placed the tea on the bedside table. “Thanks Mom,” I said, giving her a hug with one arm only.

She shook her head and left, closing the door behind her.

When I emerged from the bath, my phone rang, so I wrapped the towel around me and ran to the bed to grab it.

“I'm outside. Open your window or I’ll have to break in.”

Stunned, I gasped. How had he gotten here so quickly? I thought we’d have phone sex after my bath, but it seemed Ryder had other plans.

Giggling like a schoolgirl, I dropped the towel and went to open the window. Sure as hell, my biker had come across town to see me. He grinned salaciously as he scanned my naked body.

“Now that’s what I'm talking about.” He climbed through the window headfirst, grinning from ear to ear.

He sucked a nipple into his mouth the moment he reached me, crushing my soft and still damp body to his hardness. “How you feeling, babe? Any better?” Although he was all raging hormones, he was still concerned about my well-being.

“Miraculous recovery.” I laughed. “You should bottle that shit and sell it.”

He pushed me against the wall and knelt down in front of me. “Open your legs, babe,” he ordered. Gripping my thighs, his head disappeared between my legs. I looked down as he licked up my pussy in one long sweep. My knees started quivering and he sucked my clit, two fingers already fucking me.

I held onto his head, pushing my cunt forward so he could have all of me. I gasped as his tongue speared me and he gently massaged my sensitive ass with the juices on his fingers before pushing his thumb into the tight hole and sliding it back and forth gently.

“Oh baby,” I moaned. “That feels so good.”

He let go and undid his belt, pushing his pants down. “Gotta fuck you, babe. Balls are busting.” His strong arms lifted me off the ground, my back to the wall, and my legs gripping him around the waist.

He bit down on a nipple as his thick cock sank into my wetness. My head fell back and knocked against the wall, but I didn’t care. “Fuck me, baby.”

His ass contracted as he thrust into me. “Harrison. He’s still here, babe. He’s in the house.” I clenched Ryder’s cock. “Sweet Lord,” I groaned. Right now I wouldn’t care if my brother walked into the bedroom, I just wanted Ryder’s cock fucking me harder and harder.

Ryder turned me into a wanton slut. Every. Single. Time.

“I wouldn’t care if the fucking pope was watching,” Ryder said as he released inside me with an almighty groan, his fingers digging into the flesh of my ass.

“Ryder!” I tried to stifle my moan, but it came out loud and clear as my body spiraled
out of control.

“I love you, Princess. I fucking love you so much.” He kissed me tenderly, the exact opposite of how ferociously he’d just fucked me.

  “I love you too, baby.”

With me still on his cock, he swung us around and walked us backward to the bed. He lay me down on my back before leaning down and kissing me again. “Going now, Princess, before I get busted. Just wanted to kiss you goodnight.”

His cock slipped out of me and he pulled up his pants. I watched with big eyes as he climbed through the window, leaving the same way he’d come.

Before I could say anything, I heard giggles at my door. It was my cousins. They had been standing there, for how long I had no idea. But they definitely knew what had been going on inside my bedroom.

I pulled an oversized T-shirt over my head. It was one of Ryder’s that I’d stolen from the compound for just such occasions as this where I had to go a whole night without him. “Come in, tarts.” I laughed as I crawled under the sheets without panties.

The door burst open, and they both tumbled onto my bed. “Oh. My. God. Jade, did you just fuck Ryder in this bedroom while your brother is in the house?” Rebecca squealed. They jumped around on my bed like freaking teenagers.

“Why would you think that?” I asked, trying to sound innocent, but I knew I wasn’t fooling them. I couldn’t hide the flush of my skin or wipe the smile from my face.

“Because the whole bedroom reeks of sex, you nymph.” Lexi laughed.

“Oh, that.” I giggled. “I may or I may not just have had a man come through my window and fuck me senseless.”

Rebecca was laughing so hard she had to hold onto her stomach.

A cough at the door silenced us all. Harrison stood there, a menacing frown on his face. He stared at me for the longest time before speaking. “Goodnight, ladies. I'm going home now.” With his jacket hanging over his shoulder, he sauntered toward the bed and kissed each one of us on the cheek. Then he went over to the window and closed it.

“You’ll catch a cold, Jade. It's getting chilly outside.”

We all held our breaths until he left the room before bursting into raucous bouts of hysterical laughter. That was pretty close. What would have happened if Harrison had decided to go home ten minutes earlier? A chill ran up my spine.

I wouldn’t have changed anything. Ryder and I would never get enough of fucking one another, no matter how long we were together.

  Chapter Fourteen — Ryder

New York was everything I expected and more. I hugged Jade tightly to me as we were driven through the overcrowded streets, taxi horns honking all around us, our driver taking it all in his stride. Jade had been sick on the flight, just as she’d warned me. She was still a bit shaky, but at least she wasn’t as pale as she’d been on the plane.

Maxwell’s apartment was on the Upper East Side, and although Jade and I insisted that we’d prefer to stay in a hotel, Max had absolutely refused, sending his driver to collect us from the airport.

“I haven’t laid eyes on you in two years and you want to stay in a goddamn hotel?” he’d barked down the phone when I’d told him I was bringing Jade too, and she’d suggested we stay in the same hotel as Rebecca.

“Jade and Rebecca want to be close so they can do some shopping on Fifth Avenue,” I’d protested lamely. Shopping wasn’t my thing, but hell, I'd tag along if I got to have fun with these two women and I could steal a few kisses from Jade.

Max had sounded really disappointed. “Look, I can’t force you. But, suffice to say, my apartment has everything you could want. And my driver will take you anywhere, including Fifth Avenue. It's just down the road from my little place.”

“Jade is nodding her head. I think that means ‘yes,’” I’d said, squeezing her hand.

That’s what I loved about her most: she always wanted to make other people happy. Not in a doormat kind of way, but in a sincere, caring way. There was a difference. And Jade’s brand was sexy as hell.

We dropped Rebecca at her hotel, promising to meet her for dinner that evening. She had to prepare for a meeting in the afternoon so that meant Jade and I had time to ourselves.

Letting out a whistle as we entered the lobby, I couldn’t help chuckling at Max’s comment about his “little place.” The apartment was on the top floor and even had its own elevator. It was huge, spanning two floors, and the entire side of the building that overlooked Central Park.

Even Jade, who was accustomed to lavish opulence, sucked in a breath as we were shown our bedroom by Maria, the housekeeper. The four-poster bed that dominated the room was made for sin and sex. It had cushions strewn over it as well as thin muslin curtains draped at the corners with large loopy ties to the bedposts that could be used for all kinds of kinky fuckery.

The sliding doors to a large balcony overlooking the lake in the park were thrown open. Yet another place I envisioned fucking Jade, her holding onto the wrought-iron railings as I pumped into her from behind.

But what intrigued me most was the gigantic domed skylight that Max must have retrofitted. I imagined having Jade on the bed, the dome opened, fucking like rabbits beneath the stars.

If I had my way, we’d hardly leave the room. I wiggled my eyebrows at Jade as she pulled one of the satin cords. She gasped, clearly not suspecting her actions to cause the whole dome to open up. We laughed and lay back on the bed, side-by-side, staring up into the blue sky, watching the birds and the clouds drift by.

Maria cleared her throat, bringing us back to earth. “Shall I serve lunch on the balcony, sir?”

Nobody had ever called me sir. I winked at her. “Sure, Maria, but only if you call me Ryder.” My stomach grumbled noisily.

She laughed. “Sure, Sir Ryder,” she said as she left the room.

I nearly kissed her when she appeared again moments later followed by a maid with platters of food. Besides a spread of bread, salads, cold meats and cheeses were an ice-cold beer, a bottle of wine, and two slices of authentic New York cheesecake. Jade clapped her hands in delight.

“Can I start with dessert?” she whispered when Maria left. I threw back my head and laughed.

“Babe, you can do whatever the fuck you like,” I said as I poured a glass of cold white wine into a crystal glass for Jade before setting the bottle back on ice. I loved seeing her smile at me.

It’s true what they say: a happy woman makes a happy man.

We sat in the stylish chairs, enjoying the simple pleasure of good food, good wine and one another. It was a lifestyle so different to my own, so completely the opposite, and it amused me that people actually lived like this every day.

I was proud of my little brother. He had come a long way from poverty to this—all by his own smarts and hard work. But in spite of all these riches, I wouldn’t trade my life for his. Yeah, Max jet-setted all over the world, drove fancy cars and lived in luxury. But he also worked insanely long hours, and from what I heard, had a wife he hardly ever saw. I'd never met her, but I’d seen pictures in magazines of the two of them at fancy social events.

Were Jade and I finally going to meet the mysterious wife? Or was she off on a fashion shoot, the same as she’d been every other time I’d seen Max? I was starting to wonder if she was a fictional character like those Jade had told me about in her romance novels. But then, I’d seen pictures of her with Max and Jade assured me that Natasha was a very real person.

I wasn’t quite sure what business he had lusting after Rebecca, and frankly, I wouldn’t have cared—but now I knew how close she was to my woman, I didn’t want Max fucking around and hurting my girl in the process. But I trusted my brother to do the right thing by Rebecca. He wouldn’t pursue her if he wasn’t serious about her. He never took matters of the heart lightly.

My phone buzzed in my pocket. Max.

“Hey brother, nice little pad you have here,” I greeted him.

He laughed. “Glad it meets your approval. Make yourselves at home. Sorry I couldn’t be there to meet
you, big meetings today. Tonight we’re going to dinner. I've invited Rebecca too. I’ll have the driver bring you over at seven thirty. Until then, just relax and have fun. We’ll talk some business tonight too.”

“Don’t you ever just chill?” I really wanted to know, but he just laughed and mumbled something about time not waiting for any man. I could hear other voices in the background, so I knew he already had his attention elsewhere.

“Tonight.” I hung up the phone, smiling. We had three hours to kill before we had to get ready for dinner. I knew just what I wanted to do in that time. I was going to make love to my woman on every surface in this gigantic bedroom.

Maybe I’ll start on the balcony.

  Chapter Fifteen — Jade

After Maria cleared the plates, Ryder assured her we’d be fine by ourselves and gave her the rest of the afternoon off. Completely satiated, we’d dozed off for an hour in one another’s arms. Ryder had made good on his promise for me to forget our woes for a while and just enjoy being together. It was as if we were in another world altogether, not a worry about anyone or anything. From the glisten in his eyes, I had a pretty good idea what he had planned. We started on the balcony, and ended in the huge bath where we made love again, before having a nap.

I woke in a tangle of arms and legs, Ryder snoring lightly as he slept with his head on my chest. The dome was still open and a few birds flew over. I could hear the faint traffic noise in the distance. I stroked gently over his hair, then ran my hands up and down his back. Ryder purred like a cat.

He lifted his head and smiled at me. “God, I love sleeping with you,” he said as he kissed my breast.

“Yes, when we finally get to sleep.” I giggled, because he was already hardening. “We have to meet Max in just over an hour. I don’t want to be late.”

His fingers stroked between my legs. “So? There’s plenty of time to get ready. First I want a taste of my pussy.”
