Her Noble Owl

Cedric caught sight of Casey and Karol, Cade’s parents. He probably knew them the least out of everyone in the pack since they weren’t permanent members. Karol was easy to pick out in a crowd because of her fire-red hair though.
While there were many familiar faces, there were also plenty of newcomers Cedric had never seen before. Blue Pack never stopped. The growth it had done in just a few months was astounding. At this rate, the town wouldn’t be just a town anymore. More and more buildings were being built, creating a central hub of burgundy wood homes. It was kind of amazing. The most amazing thing was how warm this community was. Cedric figured the reason for that was primarily a wolf thing. It was in their nature.
“So, what do you think, Stella?” Cedric whispered in her ear as he wrapped his arms around her.
“I love it. You weren’t kidding about this pack, Cedric. We’ll just have to see what happens with Terry and Opal. Then we can make our decision. But even if we don’t move here, I am happy. Anywhere with you, Russel, and Opal is home to me.”
She grabbed one of his hands and led him away from the others.
“Where are we going?” he asked when they had weaved their way out of the people gathered together.
“Mistletoe.” Stella pointed to some mistletoe hanging in the doorway of the cafe. She stood right underneath it and pulled him to stand in front of her. “Now you have to kiss me.”
Cedric chuckled. “You could have just asked.”
“Where’s the fun in that?”
Cedric leaned in but stopped before his lips touched hers. He was teasing, and Stella allowed it for a moment before she grabbed his scarf and brought him in for that kiss she demanded. She bit his lips first, punishing him for teasing, but she quickly softened to a caress of lips and tongue. She lit sparks in his mouth.
“Merry Christmas, Cedric,” she whispered.
“The best one I’ve ever had.”
“Same here.”
“Daddy, save me!” Opal screamed with her arms spread out for him as she ran with a wicked smile on her face. Russel and Cade were right on her tail.
Cedric bent down and held out his arms, catching his daughter before she could run into his legs at full speed and knock herself down. He held her up as Russel skidded to a stop spraying snow.
“No fair, Opal,” he accused, but he was grinning. “You’re too fast.”
Opal giggled as she rubbed her cheek against Cedric’s. Little Cade caught up next. He was only two, but he was playing hard with the best of them. He panted and plopped down into the snow at Stella’s feet. Stella leaned down to pat his head. He let out a growling bark, still in full-on play mode.
“C’mere.” Cedric settled Opal in one arm and grabbed Russel with the other. “You guys having fun?”
“Yeah!” Russel replied and gave Cedric a quick squeeze before wiggling out of his grasp. “C’mon, Opal!” He swooped Cade up in his arms and started running again. “Bet you can’t catch us.”
“Catch us!” Cade echoed with another growling bark.
Opal squirmed in Cedric’s arms, so he let her go. “Bye-bye, Daddy,” she called as she sped off into the snow and the crowd of Blue Pack members and visitors.
Cedric wrapped an arm around Stella’s waist.
“Best Christmas?” she asked.
“Best Christmas,” he agreed. “And many more to come.”

But she can’t have him. Nothing changes the fact that he’s just another man who won’t stick around.
He’ll do whatever it takes to claim her.
Casey Hunt left Blue Pack, his fellow wolf shifters, to find his Fated Mate. He found her, and she’s everything he could have wanted with her fiery personality and blazing red hair.
But she doesn’t want him.
Luckily, Casey isn’t willing to give up that easily. No matter how long it takes—or what it takes—he’s determined to win her heart.
